My Commentary: This A.M.V. showcases mostly Koushiro's Adoptee storyline, while also including brief scenes from 2020 eps that focused on Koushiro's inclusion or highlights. (There are a few tiny semi-spoilery segments from final battle of Digimon 2020 Episodes 66~67, but mainly show Koushiro.) There are no Tri, Kizuna, or The Beginning spoilers here. Extended Commentary: An A.M.V. I made in just under 2 hours, or, about an hour and 50 minutes total of editing, plus saving and review checks; as I aimed to finish just in time for: "Kou&Ten Day" a.k.a a "Koushiro & Tentomon Day" {Focus} (5/10, May 10) in the J.P.N fan base, the name comes from the "Kou" of Koushiro's J.P.N name, {Kou = Go = "Five" (5)} as pronounced in J.P.N + "Ten", a nickname for "Tentomon" partially given by Mrs. Izumi during "02" ("Tento-san") Koushiro fans often share Koushiro works on this day, including platonic works.

This particular work, specifically for Koushiro x Taichi, includes a Queer focus lens as the original song did. (Please be respectful if interacting on this work!)

Since I, apparently, haven't had enough ideas for a Digimon Adventure reboot sequel yet (and am struggling to get my things for Taikouvember going), have idea number 4:

What if it wasn't exactly reincarnation theory that applied... What if the original timeline had already taken place, but hadn't provided the results Homeostasis had hoped for, leading to the events of The Beginning... What if Homeostasis actually rebooted the timeline, but needed a capable fighter to guide, to lead everyone through once more... What if the reason why 2020!Taichi had seemed so confident and positive, never doubting his duty, always on the right place at the right time was that... This time, he was the vessel Homeostasis chose instead of his sister - who had successfully managed to push its presence out of herself in the previous timeline...?

What if he had been a puppet, doll, marionette all along? What if, once his Crest got activated, Homeostasis had sneaked into his body to give him the quest to befriend the others in this timeline all over again, granting him access to memories of his previous life to succeed. What if that was why Omegamon - and every other evolution level - could have been achieved so easily?

At first it was a fun quest - being the literal "Chosen One". The perfect soldier, strategist, leader. Perfect in every way. A sense of nostalgia to meet his beloved companions all over again, even if they all seemed a little bit different, a little to the left, albeit not any less lovable to him... But there had also been sad memories, memories of failure and loss. Things he wouldn't want to experience again - but also things that a part of him longed and yearned for. A discrepancy that keeps growing in his heart the older he gets, the more memories he acquires. He loves his redheads and will love them in every timeline... But there's also something he desperately misses, something he couldn't get right before. So maybe... He can do it this time...?

(I know there is quite a tendency to write Suffering!Taichi AUs and as long as canon doesn't give me a happy end for him, I will probably always jump right in on it, no matter what happens.)

Taikouvember 2024 - Rules & FAQ

Even though most of the general rules for the week were already written down in the Event Announcement Post, we would still like to specify some of our Do’s and Don’t’s to make sure Taikouvember will turn out amazingly for everyone involved!

Do's & Recommendations

The event goes from November 4th to November 10th. There are prompts for every single day - this time, they refer to the Crests of the other Chosen Children.

Interpret the prompts as you like, you can find some helpful tips in our Prompt Guideline. You may submit as many entries for each prompt as you like.

If this year's prompts are not to your liking, feel free to use the prompts used for the 2022 and 2023 events as well.

Every kind of entry will be allowed: Fanfiction, Drabbles, Poems, Fanart, Comics, Sketches, Doodles, Music, Playlists, Music Videos, Picture Sets, Edits, Gifsets, Meta, etc.

You can of course decide which series or medium you want to focus on: Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, all corresponding movies, Digimon Adventure Tri, Digimon Adventure Last Evolution: Kizuna, Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning, Digimon Adventure: The 2020 Reboot, games, manhuas, audio dramas, novels, the stageplay, etc.

You are free to choose how to interpret the relationship of Taikou - whether that's romantic or platonic is completely up to you!

Other canon characters are allowed to be included, as long as the entries contain the original ship Taikou, the original characters, Taichi Yagami and Koushiro Izumi, and/or in extension, their partners, Agumon and Tentomon. You can also include multi-/polyships, OT3s, OT4s, etc. as long as they contain Taikou.

Crossovers, Alternate Universes (AUs) or Own Characters (OCs) are allowed, as long as the entries contain the original ship.

That Koumi L comment was directed at the shipper making an absolute irrelevant ruckus in the replies of the original post, dragging not just Mimato but every other Mimi ship and some more. It was not directed at the hsip itself. But clearly you failed to understand that, just as all other Koumi shippers fail to understand basic decency and decorum that a fandom needs to maintain in order to follow: "everyone should continue to ship what they like canon or fanon".

Your dear ship's event mod is running around leaving weird comments on other ship week's content, and if you feel like chalking up one incident to benefit of the doubt, then do you wanna talk about this ⬇️

The dates for Mishiro Week (who tf even calls this ship that 🤣) are the exact same dates for Michi Week and then the mod is saying "because we're jealous of other weeks" (- that being a motivation to hold an event and not the fact that you cherish these two characters and their relationship enough to celebrate it is a lil sus in itself🫣 -) clearly implies that they want to one-up another Mimi ship even though Michi Week announced their dates well in advance? You're talking about keeping things peaceful in the fandom, but maybe you should preach that to your own choir first!!!

Content on a fanwork site Pixiv is considered a Win?? Then all the Mimato/Michi/Jyoumi/Taishiro/Koukari/Koura fanart on all fanworks sites are a Win too? Is that the logic you were going for, awww thank you 🫶🏻

And then let's talk about TRI! The series where Koushiro is checking Mimi out 24x7 like an object, he calls her egotistical/self centered for acting impulsively to save a friend - using the same wording that the mean girls in festival committee use (bully alert 🚨, he doesn't even apologise for doing that btw 🚩), only then shows up to stare at her in a cheerleader uniform, ignores all the concern that she shows for him despite him being rude to her and Meiko both and ends up having way more chemistry with Takeru throughout the series (KouKeru my beloveds 😍).

But it's important to mention the guy who does take a W for Mimi in Tri, JOU KIDO!!! He accepts Mimi for who she is, doesn't criticise her actions, understands that her aggressive love is filled with nothing but pure intentions, uplifts her mood when she needs it the most and showers her words of affirmation that eventually lead to Palmon's mega evolution. And for that he deserves a big squishy hug, which he gets from Mimi 🥰 Honourable mention for taking W's for Mimi in Tri will also go to Meiko, she becomes her ride or die in such a short time of knowing her because she sees Mimi for the kind soul that she is. She also deserves a hug, and she gets it from Mimi too 🥰

In Tri we also see Mimi refer to Taichi and Yamato as handsome (and she does ask Koushiro if he's interested in her cause she's cuter, man for someone with a lot of brains he sure does care only about her looks!🚩) She starts recording TaiYama the minute they get into that Ferris wheel, she and Taichi walk a lot of places together don't they, she and Meiko share a meal with Taichi and Yamato in the Odaiba Onsen must I go on ~ Please do a full rewatch to see how Koushiro proves he's not a good match for Mimi in Tri with his ficklemindedness~

Next up: The Reboot, my other lovechild, I kid you not worstie, me and the Reboot writers share the exact same braincells, like legit, in the entirety of the series run, the most worthwhile Koumi hint they gave was them sitting in a Garage together at the end 🤣 The amount of quality time she spent with Taichi on the other hand, chef's kiss, and the instant bonding with Jou where she could tease him from the minute they met, WOW A BIGGER CHEF'S KISS 😘

Sweat drops. Oh boy, we do NOT have all day (hopefully Tumblr doesn't have a word limit). I guess to give the basic run down, I'll start off with the basic summary of the fanfic they're apart of and which kid is from what canon-bsd character (as well as what ship said kids are a product of). The story in question is called What Our Future Holds, and it's a time travel fanfic where a handful of the kids (I say kids but they're literally adults) travel back in time to keep their parents safe from an enemy that has also time traveled back to kill them. The year they travel back to is 2020 (since we don't have a proper timeline in BSD-verse, I have made mine based on the year I started writing it). Now that the general summary is done, allow me to introduce the kids and their parents (oldest to youngest. example layout: parent's name(s) - kids' name(s) - kids' ability). Side note: due to genetics, their kids have inherited their abilities (but their parents don't lose their abilities, I promise this makes sense logically). @taikouvember Day 1: The Multiverse: Canon vs. AU

Ever since the Digimon Adventure: 2020 Reboot aired, I couldn't stop making theories about the Digimon multiverse theory - including the idea that the reboot itself was dealing with reincarnated versions of the original Chosen Children. It obviously doesn't line up completely, but letting the reboot characters have epiphanies or déjâ-vus was always intriguing to me. Especially considering how Taichi and Koushirou were immediately drawn to each other - so seeing their "past personalities" bleed through and having them, as the prompt suggested, always find each other regardless of the universe is just... Beautiful.

My Commentary: This A.M.V. showcases mostly Koushiro's Adoptee storyline, while also including brief scenes from 2020 eps that focused on Koushiro's inclusion or highlights. (There are a few tiny semi-spoilery segments from final battle of Digimon 2020 Episodes 66~67, but mainly show Koushiro.) There are no Tri, Kizuna, or The Beginning spoilers here. Extended Commentary: An A.M.V. I made in just under 2 hours, or, about an hour and 50 minutes total of editing, plus saving and review checks; as I aimed to finish just in time for: "Kou&Ten Day" a.k.a a "Koushiro & Tentomon Day" {Focus} (5/10, May 10) in the J.P.N fan base, the name comes from the "Kou" of Koushiro's J.P.N name, {Kou = Go = "Five" (5)} as pronounced in J.P.N + "Ten", a nickname for "Tentomon" partially given by Mrs. Izumi during "02" ("Tento-san") Koushiro fans often share Koushiro works on this day, including platonic works.

This particular work, specifically for Koushiro x Taichi, includes a Queer focus lens as the original song did. (Please be respectful if interacting on this work!)
