Sony has released a new GT7 update 1.35 on PS4 and PS5(Version 1.350.000) players. According to the official GT7 1.35 patch notes, the latest GT7 June 2023 update introduces new cars, events, features, and improvements, including new cars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie '21 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR '95, new events in World Circuits and Music Rally. Apart from this, GT7 patch 1.35 (1.350) also made adjustments to gameplay elements, and various bug fixes and improvements. Previously, a major GT7 update 1.23 added 3 new cars and new Scapes. Volkswagen ID. R '19, Nissan Silvia K's Type S(S14) '94 and Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Spyder are now available in-game. Recently, GT7 patch 1.32 added new cars and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today's GT7 version 1.35 will address a few of these issues. Read more details below. These tracks will not be played when 'Broadcast Mode' is turned 'On.' Controllers: The steering sensitivity of the left stick and directional buttons has been adjusted when using a wireless controller. PlayStation®VR2: Fixed an issue where using PlayStation®VR2 in '2P Split Screen' mode would cause VR replay to unintentionally play after the race. Localization: Various text localization issues have been fixed. Other Issues: Various other issues have been addressed and resolved. That’s a lot of money for a Lexus and you can conclude then that they do succeed in their quest then. It isn’t really all about the value though. The LFA handles like a dream and has one of the best appearing V10 engines ever fitted to the production car.

Don’t feel bad if you have by no means seen one of these. There are only fifty units in existence and most of them are usually undoubtedly squirrelled away in personal garages. This is a real shame since the LFA Nurburgring was designed for a lot more than just being a garage queen.

There’s that melodious V10 motor that revs all the way to nine, 000rpm. It has 10hp more than the LFA. This one also boasts a firmer suspension setup, fixed rear side and various carbon fibre pieces that make for a pretty exhilarating generating experience.

There’s a route I like to use for testing cars late at night. It’s a mixture of bumpy and smooth surface streets as well as a few freeways, including on- and off-ramps, cloverleaf interchanges and long, straight shots to see how a car behaves at speed. These exploratory expeditions really let me get to know a car, and the late-night timing means there’s very little traffic. With most vehicles, I make the run once and head home for the night. But cars like the 2020 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe goad me into staying out longer.

Things get interesting from the moment you push the C63’s engine start button and the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine roars to life. Its low, rumbly exhaust note at idle lets you know that 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque are wide awake and ready to party. That’s in the S model, anyway, which has a nice increase over the 469 hp and 479 lb-ft in the regular C63. AMG says the S can hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and top out an electronically limited speed of 180 mph. The non-S is a tenth slower to 60 mph and tops out at 155.
Put the C63’s engine to work and it doesn’t take long to realize it’s a special piece. It’s muscle-car strong with thrust everywhere in the rev range. Peak torque arrives at just 1,750 rpm and it continues to pull hard to the 7,000-rpm redline, making fantastic sounds all the while.

Delivering power to the C63’s rear wheels is a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. With the car in Dynamic or Race modes, manually selecting gears using the metal steering wheel-mounted paddles is worth doing. Responses to shift commands are nearly immediate, which makes it easy to keep the engine boiling during acceleration and rapidly drop a cog or two while braking.
When you aren’t wringing it out, the C63’s drivetrain is happy to just chill with a Comfort setting. This dials things back some — the power delivery isn’t quite as hyperactive and the gearbox provides smooth launches and swaps. If you can keep your right foot in check, the EPA estimates a fuel economy return of 17 miles per gallon in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Not too shabby considering the engine’s output.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 puts out 503 horsepower in C63 S spec.

AMG reflexes
The C63 goes like hell and sounds the business doing so, but it’s no lightweight, at 4,134 pounds. But you never feel that heft in motion. Every C63 S has adaptive dampers, a limited-slip differential, variable electromechanical steering and a mind-numbing number of traction and stability control settings to aid in its handling mission. My test car is armed with a couple of other optional goodies like staggered Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (255/35ZR19 front, 285/30ZR20 rear) and carbon-ceramic brakes.
With the C63 in Sport Plus, the thing grips hard while rounding corners with the body staying nearly flat. The steering is direct, communicative and responsive, and the car goes exactly where you point it. The carbon brakes are strong, offering the right amount of initial bite and a progressive pedal behavior. Because of all that, the C63 feels much lighter and more tossable than its weight number might suggest.
It’s happy to let the good times roll — or slide, rather — with defeatable stability control in the Pro or Master drive settings. In Basic or Advanced, however, the C63 kills sideways fun in a hurry. But you can totally dial it in to your preferred level of expertise. There are four stability modes, nine settings for traction control, four drivetrain options, three suspension modes and two exhaust programs to tinker with. It’s a bit overkill; I’ll just stick with the preprogrammed Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Race options.
The dynamic downside here is ride quality. Even in Comfort mode, the C63 is pretty rough, and you’ll feel every road blemish. If you’re willing to accept a firmer ride in exchange for higher cornering capabilities, you’ll be fine.
The interior is comfy but the COMAND tech is a bit dated.

Subtle aggression
Backing up performance are the C63’s attractive looks. It’s clean and curvy with some aggression mixed in by way of Mercedes’ Panamericana grille. The vertical slat design makes for a great-looking front end, unlike the schnoz on the new BMW M4. My tester also has some other optional visual touches like the matte gray paint, carbon fiber bits, gloss black trim and five-spoke wheels with polished lips. All are tasteful and add to the coupe’s handsome and sinister stance.
The cabin is also slick, with a stylish and intuitive layout built from high-quality materials. The dashboard and large portions of the door panels are wrapped in leather and nicely stitched together, and there’s a smattering of brushed aluminum and carbon fiber trim breaking things up. It’s light and airy thanks to the panoramic sunroof and the optional AMG Performance Seats boast lots of support without being uncomfortable. The 10.5 cubic feet of space in the trunk is serviceable, but the back seat isn’t quite so accommodating.
Overseeing infotainment is Mercedes’ tried-and-true COMAND system with a 10.2-inch center screen. Since there isn’t a touchscreen, controlling the nice-sounding Burmester audio setup, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, optional navigation and AMG Track Pace data recorder primarily falls to the rotary controller on the console. Entering addresses into the navigation is a pain and the changing satellite radio stations takes a noticeable second, but COMAND remains an intuitive interface to operate. It can’t compete with the modern MBUX tech, though.
On the driver-assistance technology front, the C63 gets forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and attention assist standard. If you want things like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, head-up display, parking sensors or 360-degree camera, they are available as options.
The C63 is much more interesting than rivals from Audi, BMW or Lexus.

How I’d spec it
As much as I like the optional wheels, gloss black and carbon fiber exterior parts, the added cost is steep. This car wears a hefty $106,440 price tag, including $995 for destination. I’d exercise a little more restraint for my ideal car, still splurging on some visual enhancements like a $2,020 Selenite Gray matte paint job and $900 carbon fiber interior trim. I’ll also go for the $5,450 carbon ceramic brakes and $2,500 AMG performance seats to make it more trackworthy, and the $200 wireless charge pad is an added bit of convenience. All in, my perfectly spec’d AMG coupe rings in at $88,645, which isn’t too high of a climb from the $78,495 base price.
Sleep can wait
Driving the C63 S is an experience that appeals to all the senses. It’s got head-turning looks and wonderful V8 noises, and has a rawer personality than competitors like the Audi RS5, BMW M4 and Lexus RC F. The AMG is simply a more interesting and involving driver than the others, which makes me run my nighttime route over and over again. Who needs sleep, anyway?

2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition: This Track Edition Has a Name
The Lexus RC F is a fine sports car with a solid ride and handling chops, but traditionally, its extra weight has made it slower than rivals. For 2020, Lexus introduced the lighter, quicker RC F Track Edition, but production was limited to just 50 units for the United States. Now, Lexus is recreating some of this performance magic with another limited-production RC F: the Fuji Speedway Edition. Along with the outgoing Track Edition’s weight reductions, the new model adds a handful of unique design details to the Lexus performance coupe.
The 2021 Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition is limited to just 60 units and packs on the carbon fiber to improve performance. It also benefits from a titanium exhaust and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Lexus claims the special edition takes 4.0 seconds to hit 60 mph, matching its estimate for the Track Edition. For comparison, the standard RC F is estimated to reach 60 mph from a standstill in 4.2 seconds. Like the rest of the RC F lineup, the Fuji Speedway Edition features a 5.0-liter V-8 engine good for 472 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque.
Buyers can choose between two exterior colors: Cloudburst Gray and Arctic Blast Satin. The latter selection is a Lexus-first and consists of white paint with a satin luster. Inside the cabin, you’ll find red carbon-fiber accents and red leather-trimmed seats with faux-suede accents. Purchasing this special edition also gets the owner a limited-production MSTR watch with red accents, as well as Fuji Speedway and F logos.
Lexus has also added a few goodies to the regular RC F, too. For 2021, the V-8 coupe gets a standard blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, heated electrochromic exterior mirrors, driver’s side memory seat, and Android Auto compatibility. A new satin trim can be found inside the cabin.

在整體外觀架構上,基於TNGA(Toyota New Global Architecture)新世代造車工藝的鬼斧神工,各處肌理細節更為明確,以運動風格取代過去的樸實設計。以車頭來說,與旗下4門Toyota Altis、5門掀背Toyota Auris有著異曲同工之妙,那碩大的網格狀水箱罩、鍍鉻邊條、鋼琴烤漆飾板與同色下護板的巧妙結合,頗有一番跑格意味,配合LED Bi-Beam投射式頭燈、J型LED日行燈使其具備既有跑格以外,又散發些許科技走向。
既然取名為「Touring Sports」,本身走的既是實用與運動化趨向,整體尺碼來到長4,670mm、寬1,805mm、高1,435mm,而車側的線條延續新世代的Toyota元素,結合俐落的板金腰線與側裙設計,並於鋁圈設定上採用跑格十足的雙色多輻式18吋鋁圈,營造出年輕的跑格樣貌。只是既然為旅行車設定,最大的變化莫過於那延伸出來的C柱車尾,除了提供更為廣闊的載物空間,造型上也採用了黑化的下保桿設計、經典LED光條式尾燈組與雙出排氣尾管設計,將側邊線條與車尾完美結合。
在座艙方面,Toyota Altis Touring Sports與標準車系並無太大差異,同樣維持新世代的設計趨向,採用全新車機系統(國內尚未引進,規格推估為9吋或7吋觸控式螢幕,並支援Apple CarPlay與Android Auto)。此外,本次展出的車型導入了米色座艙以及打孔皮革跑車座椅,將質感表現大幅提升。不過比起上述所提及,最重要的在於Wagon車系所帶來的廣闊空間表現,除了高達2700mm的軸距提供後座更為舒適的行車體驗以外,後箱空間也同步強化,並導入電動開啟尾門,提供人性化的置物機能。
動力部分,由於國內尚未有引進消息,以目前展場出現的車型規格,搭載的為一具2.0升直列4缸油電複合動力系統,若以歐規車型來看,其綜效輸出馬力值為134kW(182ps),配合E-CVT電子控制無段變速系統,0-100km/h加速僅需8.1秒。懸吊與底盤系統部分,搭載的為前輪驅動、前獨立麥花臣附防傾桿平衡桿/後獨立雙A臂防傾桿平衡桿,貫徹TNGA的優異操駕結構。

Gran Turismo Sport Reveals its Full List of Launch Cars
Gran Turismo Sport will launch with 162 cars. The figure is a bit underwhelming especially considering Forza Motorsport 7 has over 700 vehicles on its roster. And there are some automakers noticeably missing from the list, such as Bentley, Chrysler, Fiat, and Lotus. But Porsche does make its debut in the Gran Turismo series, with gamers getting access to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 911 RSR, Cayman GT4 Clubsport, and 919 Hybrid race car. SEE ALSO: Here are the First 304 Cars Announced for Forza Motorsport 7 Gran Turismo Sport launches on October 17 for the PlayStation 4, but there’s a free four-day demo if you want to check out the game before deciding whether or not you want to purchase it. The demo is available on the PlayStation Store through October 12. Best of all, earned in-game credit (up to $1MM) and unlocked vehicles are transferable to the full game when it launches. Lexus Recoupes Performance with Refined RC Line
Focused on high performance, Lexus has launched an ad campaign to introduce its improved line of RC coupes, with two spots just released.
Lexus has created a campaign for its updated line of RC coupes. Featuring firm revisions to their engineering, the reimagined models are lighter and faster as well as afford heightened sophistication and comfort. The tweaked sports range features the 2020 RC F Track Edition.
A limited-production variant, it blends the tradition of luxury with renewed performance. The push around the Lexus vehicles presents two films created for the United States. The hero spot, One Track Mind, shows cars, nondescript sports coupes, racing around a track.
Amidst the mediocrity, the RC F Track Edition emerges to crush the competition, revealing the aim of the creative. The narrator describes its key attributes. By the end, the revamped model is joined by the Lexus RC F, and the two take off into the sunset for dramatic effect.
The second commercial, Fast, opens with an old jet car which is quick but choppy as it revs along a straight road. With a focus on speed, the reel cuts to footage of the RC smoothly navigating the city streets. The ads will run during big sporting events like March Madness.
“Since inception, the brand has always challenged convention. We redefined sophistication, technology, and craftsmanship in the luxury segment, and are doing it again by redefining performance without losing sight of those key tenets,” said Lisa Materazzo, Vice President of Marketing for Lexus.

The Queen City is starting today and for the next 10 days, the host of the Toronto International Auto Show. Here are 10 attractions that are worth seeing.
1- Bugatti Chiron lego
Unless we have a real Bugatti Chiron as we saw in Montreal, Toronto presents a full-size model made entirely of Lego TECHNIC elements. This vehicle, inaugurated at the Italian Grand Prix of Monza last summer, is composed of more than a million pieces and required 13,000 hours of work and did not require any adhesive, only Lego pieces.
This Chiron has the real tires of the original car and also has the rear spoiler, functional front and rear lights, a speedometer, a brake pedal and also has a removable steering wheel. It can also move thanks to its small electric batteries and reach a maximum speed of ... 28 km / h.

2- Sport Pesa Racing Point F1

An out-of-the-ordinary presentation took place the day before the press day at the Toronto Auto Show. The new Formula 1 Sport Pesa Racing Point team (which replaces Force India), largely funded by Canadian interests and led by Laurence Stroll, officially introduced its team and drivers to members of the press.
This is the first time in history that a F1 team presents a vehicle outside of England where all presentations take place. It is also a team composed solely of North American pilots with Quebec's Lance Stroll and Mexican Sergio Perez.
Equipped with the Mercedes engine, the team is already aiming to be among the top four teams in the next season and is aiming for the top three in 2020. We can only wish them good luck. And for those who wonder why this car was not presented in Montreal where the Grand Prix du Canada takes place, Laurence Stroll explained that the car was not ready.
3- BMW Z4

She was not in Detroit, mainly because BMW was not there at all, and she was not in Montreal either. It was finally Toronto who had the privilege of unveiling the news and waiting for Z4.
With sales starting in March, this Z4 will turn many heads. It shares its chassis with the new Toyota Supra and both models are built on the same assembly line in Austria.
The model on display at the Toronto Auto Show is a Z4 M40i version that will arrive a little later and is equipped with a turbocharged 382-horsepower 3.0-liter six-cylinder. There will also be a 2.0-liter 2.0-liter turbo version of 255 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic transmission will be the only option available. No, no manual gearbox.
4- Volkswagen GLI and ID CROZZ

Volkswagen put the package in Toronto by first introducing the Volkswagen Jetta GLI. With its 2.0-liter GTI engine, this Jetta offers 231 horsepower and plenty of fun in sight. To handle this power, a 7-speed automatic DSG dual clutch transmission. But also, for purists there will be a six-speed manual gearbox.
Another interesting point, the rear suspension torsion beam of the regular Jetta disappears in favor of an independent multi-link suspension, while the struts at the front enjoy a more sporty calibration. It promises and it will be in concession in two weeks.
Volks also presented a concept ID CROZZ presented in Canadian premiere. Built on the new SEM platform specific to future electric models, the CROZZ will be marketed in 2021 as a 2022 model and according to Volkswagen, this concept is very visually close to the production model.
5- Mercedes Benz EQC

Mercedes promises a fleet of 10 fully electric vehicles by 2022. After a first presentation at the Paris Motor Show in 2018, Toronto in turn presented the EQC, the first 100% electric model that will be marketed by Mercedes. We should see it arrive on the Canadian market in early 2020.
Its 80 kWh engine offers a power of 402 horsepower, acceleration 0-110 km / h announced at about 5 seconds and a range exceeding 400 km. In addition, this EQC looks like a SUV and does not show in a particular way its green side.
6- Porsche Panamera GTS

This concept has been designed to be powered by a multitude of electrified powertrains: fuel cell, self-charging gasoline-electric hybrid, gas-electric pluggable and battery powered. This is for the moment only an exercise in style.
Lexus has already announced the adoption of a "Chauffeur mode". This technology allows full hands-free driving, thanks to the vehicle's electronic control devices that control steering, braking, acceleration, as well as headlights, lights and turn signals.
9- RAM Warlock

In 1976, the first Dodge Warlock vehicle was introduced as a result of the public's positive reaction to a truck designed as a concept vehicle for a motor show. Dodge produced the truck for three years until 1979.
RAM comes back with a similar concept, the Warlock 2019. The RAM 1500 Classic Warlock 2019 features a black grille with large RAM lettering, 20 "black aluminum semi-gloss wheels, side bumpers front and rear pulverized shells, a 2.5 cm (1 in.) taller factory body, black fender flares, LED fog lights, headlamps with dark color hubcaps, LED taillights, black emblem, towing hooks, unique bonnet stickers, Warlock stickers on storage bins, reinforced shock absorbers.
This model arrives at the end of the first quarter of 2019 from $ 51,715
10- Nissan LEAF Nismo RC

Nissan unveiled for the first time in a motor show its brand new LEAF NISMO RC. Designed by NISMO, this 322 horsepower electric racecar is equipped with a state-of-the-art battery and all-wheel drive. Nissan also announced at a press conference that the NISMO RC LEAF will be racing on Canadian racetracks this year, as it will be one of the official race cars for the fifth Nissan Micra Cup season.
Nissan has only made six of these very special LEAFs and Nissan Canada has one. Here are some dates where you can see it on track as the leading car of the Micra Cup series:

Le Salon de Detroit, le dernier en hiver

Il y a presque exactement trente ans de cela, je prenais le train pour me rendre, seul, à Windsor en Ontario. Mon but? Traverser la rivière et passer deux jours à la toute première édition Internationale du Salon de l’auto de Detroit, le tout premier North American International Auto Show. À ma connaissance, il n’y avait que moi du Québec avec mon ami d’alors (le défunt) Jacques Rainville. C’était l’année des grands dévoilements incluant celui du prototype de la Dodge Viper! Le reste, bien entendu, c’est, comme on dit, de l’histoire.
Au moment d’écrire ces lignes, je reviens de la 30e édition du Salon de Detroit, la dernière qui se sera passée en hiver. Le Salon sera de retour en 2020 mais au mois de juin sous la forme d’un grand happening. Et comme si j’avais voulu célébrer l’Évènement, je me suis rendu en train à Windsor (j’ai vécu trop de problèmes avec la neige et la météo hivernale au cours des dernières années que plus jamais je ne voulais y aller en avion et encore moins en voiture). Et pour me remémorer la première fois, j’y ai passé une soirée avec mon grand ami Walter McCall qui, il y a trente ans, m’avait accueilli à la gare de Windsor où il demeurait et où il travaillait en tant que directeur des Relations publiques chez Chrysler Canada. Rendu à 80 ans, ce diable de petit homme est toujours actif car il publie un ou deux livres par année sur les camions de pompier (vous pourriez en vérifier les titres sur Internet). Il est à composer actuellement un volume sur le service des incendies de la ville de Windsor.
J’ai donc participé à cette première journée de presse du Salon de Detroit, la seule où il y aurait des dévoilements de nouvelles voitures. Depuis des années que la qualité de ce Salon décline mais cette fois, ce fut sans contredit la pire. C’est comme si les grands constructeurs locaux avaient décidé de bouder le Salon de leur propre ville au profit de ceux de Los Angeles et peut-être même New York. Toutefois, pour l’amateur de technologie, il fallait être à ce Salon de Detroit pour y voir ce qui s’en vient au cours des prochaines années…presque un voyage dans le futur…presque!
Voici donc un court relevé de ce que j’ai pu voir au Salon de Detroit, le North American International Auto Show (qui fut aussi boudé, comme bien d’autres salons internationaux, par les constructeurs allemands comme Mercedes, BMW et Porsche et par quelques autres grands noms comme Mini, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda et autres!)
Cadillac a profité du Salon de Detroit pour y dévoiler (la veille de la journée de presse) son nouveau grand VUM, le XT6 et pour y annoncer que la marque sera le fer de lance de General Motors en matière de véhicules électriques, (Photo Éric Descarries)
Ford a ouvert le bal de la journée en lançant sa nouvelle génération d’Explorer tant en version Interceptor de police qu’en version hybride ou encore en version de performance ST mue par un V6 de 3,0 litres à double turbocompresseur de quelques 400 chevaux. (Photo Éric Descarries)
Ford a aussi fait le bonheur des amateurs de performance en dévoilant la version 500 GT de sa Mustang Shelby. Son V8 suralimenté de 5,2 litres fait plus de 700 chevaux et il vient avec une boîte à double embrayage. (Photo Éric Descarries)
Les amateurs de camionnettes ont été bien servis par FCA qui a profité de ce Salon pour nous faire connaître la version Heavy Duty de ses nouveaux Ram 2500 et 3500. Si le moteur de base de ces pick-up traditionnels demeure le V8 Hemi à essence de 6,4 litres, le moteur turbodiesel optionnel Cummins de 6,7 litres développe désormais quelque 1000 livres de couple ce qui fait du Ram Heavy Duty le plus puissant pick-up de sa catégorie avec une capacité de remorquage de plus de 35 000 livres! La légendaire Supra de Toyota a été officiellement lancée au Salon de Detroit. Développée conjointement avec BMW, le superbe coupé sportif a aussi été montré aux côtés des versions de compétition et NASCAR (Xfinity). Dans le cas de cette dernière, sa carrosserie ne ressemble pas du tout à celle de la Supra de production, surtout de l’arrière… (Photo Éric Descarries)
Quant au constructeur allemand Volkswagen (probablement le seul de cette origine européenne sur place), c’était à son tour de dévoiler une nouvelle auto, soit la grande Passat redessinée pour 2020. En même temps VW annonçait la construction d’une deuxième usine aux États- Unis juste avant de confirmer son alliance avec Ford. Ce dernier aidera VW dans le développement et la construction de pick-up intermédiaires alors que l’Allemand apportera son support au géant américain pour les plateformes de voitures électriques. On pouvait voir au stand Nissan une étude de style (une denrée très rare au Salon de Detroit de 2019) qui nous indique quelle direction le constructeur japonais compte prendre au cours des prochaines années. Ce véhicule électrique baptisé IMs est en fait une berline aux airs plutôt sportifs.(Photo Éric Descarries)
Chez Kia, on procédait au lancement du VUS intermédiaire Telluride basé, en grande partie, sur son cousin, le Palisades de Hyundai. Mû par un V6 de 3,8 litres, le Telluride affiche une ligne légèrement plus robuste que le Palisades et le constructeur le démontrait en offrant aux visiteurs une courte ballade en circuit hors-route dans le salon même ! D’autre part, chez Hyundai, c’était au tour de l’excitante Elantra GT de se montrer en version de production de finition N. Ainsi, le constructeur sud-coréen compte se lancer, à son tour, dans des versions de performance de certaines de ses autos aux aptitudes un peu plus sportives. (Photo Éric Descarries)

Enfin, c’était le retour du constructeur chinois GAC avec ses nombreux VUS et sa fourgonnette qui annonçait ses premiers pas en Amérique du Nord. Il était question de ses premiers bureaux en Californie en plus d’une étude de style d’un VUS Voilà une annonce qu’il ne faudra pas prendre à la légère… (Photo Éric Descarries)
Je ne peux passer sous silence la présentation de l’étude de style QX Inspiration d’Infiniti que j’ai malheureusement manqué. Mais ce n’était pas de ma faute! En effet, le véhicule, semble-t-il, n’a pu démarrer et Infiniti a décidé d’annuler sa présentation sur les autos électriques. J’ai dû quitter le Salon pour retourner à mon hôtel. L’auto a finalement été présentée et plus encore, elle a gagné les mérites de Meilleure étude de style et de Plus bel intérieur du Salon. Mais c’était un peu trop tard. La foule n’y était plus! Oh! N’oublions pas de mentionner la présence du constructeur indien Mahindra au Salon de Detroit. Celui-ci y avait un stand intéressant où l’on pouvait voir le fameux Roxor, une sorte de réplique de Jeep des premières générations mue par un petit quatre cylindres diesel. Capable d’une vitesse maximale de 45 m/h, ce sympathique petit véhicule ne peut légalement pas rouler sur nos routes. Il s’agit là d’une sorte de petit VTT côte-à-côte amusant. Il y avait aussi au stand Mahindra une petite fourgonnette (?) commercialisée qu’en Inde (mue par un quatre cylindres diesel et reposant sur un châssis-cadre rigide), la Marazzo, qui pouvait y justifier sa présence car elle a été développée aux studios de la compagnie au Michigan! Au cas où cela vous intéresserait, juste avant l’ouverture du Salon, l’association des journalistes nord-américains a dévoilé ses prix pour les Auto, VUS et Camionnette de l’année. Le Grand Prix, celui de l’auto, a été à la Genesis G70, celui du VUS au Hyundai Kona et celui de la camionnette au Ram 1500…J’approuve…
