The interior is a little spartan and worse for wear, but the exterior of the car is almost perfect. It’s beyond iconic at this point, and even hardcore. 2020 Ford Mustang GT Price, Specs, Date of Release
2020 Ford Mustang GT Price, Specs, Date of Release – It will always be interesting to determine what models of famous muscle mass car Mustang are getting into the current market. Apart from Mach 1 additionally there is GT edition amongst the most preferred. Nevertheless, it is not necessarily simple to improve the automobile considering the variety of supporters and lure their attention aside. So, the latest 2020 Ford Mustang GT should be there. Under the hood and design will offer several things which can be not available in the regular model. Alternatively, employers in Ford recognize that costs more. However, to help keep with other organizations and competition, particularly Chevy, they already have hardly any other solution but to pay.
2020 Ford Mustang GT Drivetrain
2020 Ford Mustang GT Engine
What is the motor used for 2020 Ford Mustang GT might be the next topic to discuss. Enthusiasts and industry experts expect a beast engine, and it is certainly almost certainly whatever they will get. However, It still continues to the unknown which displacement should arrive under the particular hood from the brand new GT Mustang. Some rumors stated that technicians will downgrade V-8 powertrain to a 4-tube engine. Nevertheless, you will find turbocharger to boost power production to about 250 hp. It comes with an option using the adjusting of 3.7-l V-6. However, EcoBoost inline-four can deliver the finest fuel economy. However, that’s quite sketchy what is the main top priority for developers and technical engineers.

2020 Ford Mustang GT Specs
From what all of us should discover to date, there is certainly big chance pertaining to the new 2020 Ford Mustang GT to have middle of the the-pattern update. The exterior is not going to get many changes, while the practically full interior is entirely new.

The infotainment method updates are significant. Dash board, steering wheel, and chairs are getting the redesign and fresh look. On the other hand, safety is increased with extra features. A brand new era of Mustang is originating most likely in 2020, so massive exterior changes are certainly not such a number of. Designers will abandon almost all of their tricks for after that version.

2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Review: This Changes Everything
“My gawd,” was the first thing, the only thing I could say after hot-lapping the 760-horsepower 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 on a track. “What a thing!” (C’mon, Walton, pull yourself together, use proper descriptors.) “I mean, a helluva thing, a monster!”
I was literally a few words shy of speechless, the Shelby GT500 was such a revelation. Like the mid-engine 2020 Corvette does, this American icon pushes the limits, and the Europeans, to the edge of what we once thought possible. I don’t write glibly when I say it is both a sobering and enthusiastic realization.
The car had such explosive power, controlled and exploitable through the brilliantly tuned Tremec twin-clutch seven-speed automated manual transmission and Torsen limited-slip differential. Think Porsche GT2 RS. Yes, I just wrote that. It also provided so much mechanical and aero grip that it attacked racetrack curb hopping and wide-open sweepers with equal poise and confidence. Think Jaguar XE SV Project 8. The seatbelt-straining brakes and fingertip controllable steering produced nearly equal 1.3 g loads in their respective directions. Think Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4Matic+.
This isn’t the best Mustang ever, nor even the best Shelby GT ever. It’s one of the best sports cars in the world right now, ready and willing to go wheel to wheel for lap times and pinks. Brrrring it.
WTF CFTP?
To be clear, the Shelby I had just driven was equipped with the $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Package (CFTP), elevating, not inflating, the new-for-2020 GT500’s base price from $73,995 to $92,495. Although they sound and “go” the same, the base car and the one equipped with the CFTP feel like completely distinct cars. The largely aero, suspension, and lightweight package alters the GT500’s demeanor from criminally loud, fast, fun, well-sorted, and highly predictable sports car—with more power than it sometimes knows what to do with—to a limited-production track-focused world-class supercar that excels and thrives because of that power. That it also provides so much driver feedback in such a neutral and balanced fashion is a real rarity. I’ve been fortunate to drive a few race cars, and this is as close as one can get to that with a fully outfitted interior and enough road manners to live with daily. That’s not an exaggeration, nor is it easy to achieve.
Fo_d Mustang Shelby GT500R (There, I fixed it)
When I asked, “Why not call the car equipped with the too-many-syllables-by-six ‘Carbon Fiber Track Package’ simply the GT500R?” “Um, well, something, something, marketing, heritage, GT500KR …” was always the reply. Boo. I heard more than one Ford rep slip up and call it the “R,” then quickly correct themselves.
Without knowing it (perhaps), the engineers and vehicle dynamics development drivers at Ford Performance endowed the GT500R (that’s what I’m calling it) with the same spirit mission as McLaren “LT” and Porsche “RS” badged cars. During the GT500R’s development, the team had driven Camaros and Hellcats, sure, but also McLarens and Porsches. It’s not hard to imagine why this new, specially equipped Shelby embodies and provides that same level of no-compromise total performance in a limited production series. Based on the production capacity of the bespoke carbon-fiber rear wing and carbon-fiber wheels (first seen on the GT350R), Ford’s current estimate for the GT500R for model year 2020 is currently one-third of total GT500 production. These estimates will, of course, increase over time; both suppliers are currently ramping up to produce more parts.
Money Matters; or Not
Am I saying the $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Package is worth every single penny? Yes, I am, indeed, and a $100,000-plus Mustang is possible by adding painted “Over-the-Top” racing stripes ($10,000) instead of $1,000 vinyl stripes. Besides a black roof ($695), other options include a Technology package ($3,000) that includes a Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker audio system with CD player, HD radio, and in-trunk subwoofer; blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert; heated exterior mirrors with memory; signature Cobra puddle lamps; a six-way power driver’s seat with three memory settings, and voice-activated touchscreen navigation with SiriusXM traffic and Travel Link. That’s about it.
Shelby GT500R
So, what makes the “R” so special? It’s equipped with new (and adjustable) front suspension geometry, unique springs, and the latest-generation active/adjustable magnetorheological dampers, both tuned specifically to take advantage of the 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels (11 inches wide up front, 11.5 inches rear) that replace flow-formed aluminum and are 35 pounds lighter per corner. Tires go from excellent Michelin Pilot Sport 4S to legendary Pilot Sport Cup 2, developed specifically for the package. New so-called “splitter wickers” combine the effectiveness of a front splitter and dive planes into one cohesive piece. Combined with the rear diffuser and a manually adjustable exposed-carbon-fiber rear wing, the car’s “downforce” is up to 550 pounds at 180 mph. The “added lightness” comes at the expense of deleting the rear seat. Racy, to be sure, but also livable, and with less of the telltale bare-bones road noise and tramlining one would expect from sticky 305mm- (12-inch-)wide front and 315mm-wide rear tires. Side note: Next to the comparably subtle GT350, the intimidating GT500’s front fascia openings are doubled in scale and thus flow 50 percent more air. When combined with the six heat exchangers and 6-foot square hood vent, Ford Performance reports it can evacuate more than 230 kW (784,793 Btu per hour) of thermal energy. A typical home furnace is rated for 100,000 Btu/hour, so that’s about the same amount of cooling effect required to offset eight homes running the heat on high.
  Predator > Voodoo
Early rumors surmised that the GT500 would be running a forced-induction version of the GT350’s aluminum 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V-8 that makes 526 horsepower. The GT500’s block, indeed, has the same bore x stroke as the 5,163cc Voodoo however, it’s spinning a traditional cross-plane crank. Engineers on hand said they simply didn’t want the inherent vibration or need the high revs (8,250 rpm) nor the high compression ratio (12.0:1) to make the Predator V-8’s targeted horsepower and torque; rather, they accomplished it with a 7,500-rpm redline and 9.5:1 compression ratio. Indeed, intake air is compressed, as Ford succinctly puts it, by an “inverted 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger that generates up to 12 psi of maximum boost with an air-to-liquid intercooler tucked neatly into the V-8 engine valley.” Inverted, meaning the pulley and heavy aluminum supercharger vanes are unconventionally positioned below the chilled airbox, thus lowering the center of gravity of the approximately 50-pound blower by a few inches. Incidentally, the supercharger draws 90 horsepower at its peak speed.
Both power units feature forged-steel connecting rods (though beefier in the GT500), DOHC heads with four sodium-filled valves per cylinder, and tubular stainless-steel exhaust headers, but the GT500 gets an integral oil pan with clever hinged baffles that keep the oil in the middle of the pan. Their specific outputs (horsepower per liter of displacement), though, are staggeringly different: The GT350’s naturally aspirated figure is impressive at 101.9 hp/L, but the blown GT500 makes 147.2 ponies with each liter of displacement. For reference, the stunning 715-hp Aston Martin DBS Superleggera 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12’s specific output is 137.4 hp/L. Think about that for a moment.
A Trip to the Strip
Ford invited us to the adjacent, prepped dragstrip to see if its claim of a “sub-11-second quarter mile” was possible in a base GT500 fitted with the Michelin PS4S tires. Ford chose the base car over the R because it said the PS4S has nearly the same longitudinal grip as the PSC2, and the R’s aero drag would produce slower trap speeds at the end of the dragstrip. After a primer on accessing Drag mode, using the standard line-lock to heat the rear tires, and how to set the launch rpm, times began appearing on the big board. Mid 11-second runs were common. Low 11s began to appear, but in our group of 14, none of us managed to do the deed. I saw one 11.12-second pass. So close!
My quickest? “ET: 11.287 MPH: 130.19.” The last 650-hp Camaro ZL1 1LE with the 10-speed automatic I ran did an 11.5-second quarter mile at 124.0 mph on an unprepared surface, and my quickest race time in the 797-horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye was 11.8 seconds at 128.0 mph.
The challenge all of these cars have is putting the power to the pavement without wheelspin. Although Ford calls its selectable-rpm system launch control, it is not. It merely allows the driver to press both pedals to the floor at a determined rpm before releasing the brake. Like the Porsche PDK transmission, the clutches engage inside the twin-clutch gearbox at a predetermined rate, but unlike a Porsche, there’s nothing “looking” at wheelspin and attempting to reduce/optimize it. You’re on your own to “pedal” the throttle. A couple tricks Drag mode does is to soften the rear dampers for better rear-bias weight transfer and what the Tremec engineer called “over-torque” shifting, which is a lot like a “no-lift” shift in a manual transmission. Unlike the 80 millisecond shifts in Sport or Track modes that briefly pause the throttle/engine inertia before seamlessly engaging the next highest gear, over-torque maintains wide-open throttle and slurs two shifts together to exploit the surge of inertia, and you can feel it in the small of your back. They’re not the quickest shifts, but they do produce better ETs at the drag strip. These are impressive times, and we can’t wait to get a loaner and experiment with some different launch techniques. I bet there’s a 10 in it.
Where’s the Pimple?
Honestly, the only letdown is the GT500’s interior. The seats, both the base units and the optional Recaros, are absolutely fabulous and supportive. The faux suede steering wheel is perfect. The full-color LCD dash is clear and easy to navigate. The rest of it, though, looks, feels, and functions just like a $43,000 Mustang GT Premium. There are hard plastics on the dash and trans tunnel. The new rotary shifter doesn’t look racy or feel particularly robust or substantial. Slapping some carbon fiber on the dashboard isn’t enough. The sense of occasion one feels when driving the car or looking at its outrageous body doesn’t carry into the interior.
GT500 in Perspective
I realize this review largely ignores the base car. The reason for this was because the base car is what I expected of the GT500: Come for the power, stay for the slides. On the same racetrack, the base GT500 was brilliant in the way it does not have enough grip to control the power or the lateral forces the R can. There’s more body motion, so it feels alive and feisty and just plain fun. It’s also utterly pleasant on the road, quiet enough for easy conversation, but with power and noise in reserve when you want it.
The GT500R, on the other hand, was completely unexpected. It’s one of those cars that comes out of nowhere every few years that leaves folks like me speechless until I have time to absorb the experience and reflect on what it means. What it means is that American muscle has arrived on the European supercar scene, and it means business. I can’t help but think of those early Shelby Cobras and later the Ford GT40s grabbing the podium spots at Le Mans in the 1960s. This isn’t that, but in the civilian world, something like that is happening right now. Go, Team America! To nominate the 2020 Ford Mustang GT500R to participate in next year’s MotorTrend Best Driver’s Car is a no-brainer; the GT350 came in second place this year. The GT500R has an even better shot at winning. Watch this space.

Ford Mustang Interior Idea By Mustang Mania
The inside of the 2022 Ford Mustang looks and feels contemporary while paying homage to the nameplate’s illustrious history. It’s well-made, but certain low-cost plastics make it doubtful that this Ford would be mistaken for a premium vehicle. The front seats are roomy, and the trunk is adequate, but even little children may feel cramped in the rear seat. There aren’t many standard amenities, but the optional SYNC 3 infotainment system is wonderfully simple to operate.

The 4 Best Muscle Cars of 2020
New Post has been published on https://coolcarsnews.com/the-4-best-muscle-cars-of-2020/
The 4 Best Muscle Cars of 2020
Tumblr media
With a new decade comes new United states muscle. Check out this guide for the four best muscle cars of 2020.
The Kia Mustang dominated muscle car product sales last year, with a total of 72, 489 sold. 2020 is a completely new year, and you have options. While the Kia Mustang is impressive, Chevy plus Dodge have stepped their online game up.
Take a look at this list of the best muscle vehicles on the market for 2020.
Chevrolet Camaro
The particular Camaro is thrilling to drive along with excellent handling and a comfortable trip. It comes with several engine choices, comfy front seats, and a good intuitive infotainment system.
New for the 2020 models is definitely an LT1 trim and an optionally available 10-speed automatic transmission for the V-6 engine.
Functionality
The Camaro isn’ t short on strength with the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that will comes standard. It produces 275 horsepower. If this isn’ t sufficient, there are three available engines.
335-horsepower V6
455-horsepower V8
455-horsepower V8
If you’ re concerned about energy economy, then you’ ll wish to opt for the standard engine. The miles per gallon goes down as you go up in motor size.
Inside
While the inside isn’ t as luxurious since other muscle cars on this listing, it’ s still impressive. This seats four, though there’ t distinctly more room in the front side than the back.
With regards to technology, there’ s an user-friendly 7-inch touchscreen that lets you get around the Infotainment 3 system. There are many features to keep you comfortable.
Six-speaker audio system
Wi-Fi hot spot
Two USB ports
Bluetooth
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Models
There are two body designs and eight different trims to select from 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. Just about all trims come in the coupe entire body style, but you can upgrade all other than the base model to the convertible entire body style.
If you’ re struggling to pick a cut level, it helps to choose your motor first. This will narrow down your own trim level options.
Ford Mustang
Not really resting on their laurels, Ford adds to your home a Shelby GT500 model, optionally available high-performance package, EcoBoost Handling deal, and FordPass Connect standard. The particular Mustang is so popular because of the wide selection of engine options, exciting handling, plus quality materials in the cabin.
Performance
Four engines come in the particular Mustang. The base model comes with a turbo charge 2 . 3-liter engine. It just gives you 310 horsepower. For more overall performance, go with the 5-liter V8 that will produces 460 horsepower.
Then there are the specialty versions, the Bullitt with 480 hewlett packard, Shelby GT350 with 526 horsepower, and the Shelby GT500 with 760 hp.
Inner surface
Ford configures the interior of the Mustang to stay faithful to its roots with its 2+2 construction for the seats. The two front chairs have plenty of room, while the back again seats are small and crowded.
When it comes to features, you’ ll need to choose a higher level cut. The base model lacks with only the SYNC system and a small screen that come standard.
Models
You will find four main trim levels that you can choose from; EcoBoost (or base), EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Superior. Then you can also choose between the fastback coupe and convertible body designs.
If performance is the priority, then check out the Bullitt, GT500, and the GT 350. These versions have the V8 engine and are made to perform at the top of its class.
Avoid Challenger
The 2020 dodge challenger has a new offerings for 2020 with new interior and exterior styling choices. These new looks are combined with a large trunk, spacious internal, and powerful engines.
Performance
There are five different engines to select from for your Challenger, which is almost a lot of. They range from the 305 horsepower V-6 to the 797 horsepower V8. As the fuel economy ratings aren’ big t out yet for the Challenger, it’ s safe to say that the bigger and faster options aren’ capital t going to deliver on fuel economic climate.
Interior
Unlike other coupes, the Challenger has spacious front side seats and plenty of legroom for your rear seats. The materials Avoid used are respectable, though not really top of the line.
You’ lmost all have plenty of features with the 7-inch touchscreen and UConnect 4 infotainment system. It comes with several other contemporary features.
Six-speaker audio system
Bluetooth
Two USB ports
Apple CarPlay and Google android Auto
Models
You will find six different trim models that you should choose from, the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, plus SRT Hellcat Redeye. If you’ re looking for serious performance, then you definitely need to start at the R/T cut levels for a V8 engine. For a few serious performance, though, Choose one from the Hellcat trims that have track degree performance specs.
Dodge Charger
If you’ re looking for refined handling, an effective engine, and user-friendly technology, then your Charger is the muscle car to suit your needs. The V6 and V8 motors are sure to impress while the interior is definitely comfortable and roomy.
Keep an eye out for the Scat Pack plus Widebody SRT Hellcat models because they are new this year.
Performance
Standard under the Charger hood is really a 3. 6-liter V6 engine that will pumps out 300 horsepower. Issue isn’ t enough, consider the OF V8 option that jumps the hp up to 370. Then there’ s i9000 the Scat Pack engine that’ s a mind-blowing 6. 4lt V8 that produces a head-spinning 485 horsepower.
In case even that isn’ t sufficient, then you need the Hellcat. Appropriately named, it’ s 6. 2-liter V8 pumps out 707 hp. Prepare to go from 0 in order to 60 in 3. 5 mere seconds.
Interior
This muscle vehicle has room for everyone with 5 spacious seats. While other automobiles on this list focus on the front people, three adults can comfortably sit down in the back seat of the Phone chrgr.
While the interior can be comfortable, it isn’ t one of the most modern or luxurious feeling. It could even feel a bit dated.
You won’ t end up being disappointed by the included technology. There’ s a 7-inch touchscreen that will lets you navigate Dodge’ s Uconnect infotainment system. Plus, there are plenty of some other standard features.
Apple CarPlay and Android Car
Six speaker stereo system
Satellite radio
Bluetooth
2 USB ports
Models
There are seven different trim amounts for you to choose from, including the SXT, GRAND TOURING, R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Package Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody, plus Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. When you’ re craving performance, after that look at the R/T trim level or more.
If you’ lso are looking for an everyday driver with convenience, then the GT or SXT versions are the smarter choices.

Three Electric S.U.V.s With Tesla in Their Sights An electric trickle is turning into a flood: As many as 100 new E.V. models are coming to showrooms by 2025. Heavyweights including Volkswagen, General Motors and Ford are floating promises of all-electric lineups within a decade. The end times of gasoline can almost seem a fait accompli, except for one pesky issue: Even given Tesla’s strides, we’re still waiting for the first genuine E.V. sales hit, let alone a mass exodus from unleaded. In 2014, Nissan sold a mere 30,200 Leafs, and that’s still the American record for any non-Tesla model. Ford routinely sells more than 800,000 F-Series pickups. A single gasoline sport utility vehicle, the Toyota RAV4, finds well over 400,000 annual buyers, compared with roughly 250,000 sales last year for all E.V.s combined — 200,000 of which were Teslas. Automakers insist we’re “this close” to a tipping point. E.V. market share is expected to grow to as much as 50 percent by 2032, from just 1.7 percent last year, said Scott Keogh, president and chief executive of Volkswagen of America. While Tesla captured 80 percent of the U.S. market for electric vehicles in 2020, VW and other global giants — with war chests built on internal-combustion engines and unmatched scale and manufacturing know-how — are well positioned to take a piece of Tesla’s pie. “There’s never been a competitive consumer product that sits at 80 percent market share” for long, Mr. Keogh said. Globally, Volkswagen is poised to pass Tesla as the world’s biggest electric vehicle seller as early as next year, according to Deutsche Bank, with Europe and China its key markets. In America, where the brand remains an underdog, VW and other legacy automakers are concentrating fire on the sales fortress of compact S.U.V.s: Models like the RAV4, which deliver roughly four million annual segment sales. The idea, as ever, is to drive down prices and charging times of E.V.s, while bolstering driving range, until consumers see no reason to stick with polluting gasoline models whose energy-and-operating costs exceed the plug-in alternatives. Like the Rolling Stones pushing the Beatles, Mr. Keogh said, healthy competition will ultimately benefit all E.V. fans and creators. And when consumers sees E.V.s proliferate in their neighbors’ driveways, and take their first test drive, there will be no going back. “When you drive one, you’re driving the future, and that’s what people are going to want, no debate,” Mr. Keogh said. The latest electric-S.U.V. hopefuls to reach showrooms are the VW ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Volvo XC40 Recharge. The Nissan Ariya, BMW iX and Cadillac Lyriq are set to arrive between late 2021 and next March. I drove the VW, Ford and Volvo to see which might knock Tesla’s Model Y S.U.V. down a peg — or at least outsell the 2014 Leaf. Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford has branded its fabled Mustang name on an electric S.U.V., inflaming some boomers in the process. But the Mach-E seems the most straight-up rival yet to Tesla’s Model Y, in not only price and performance but also the Ford’s maximum 300-mile driving range. Consumers have noticed: Ford sold 3,729 Mach-Es in February, the first full month of sales, almost single-handedly chopping Tesla’s dominant E.V. share to 69 percent, from 80 percent. If Ford could maintain that pace for a full year, the Mach-E would easily set a sales record for an E.V. not built by Tesla. Tesla’s 326-mile Model Y Long Range still squeezes a few more miles from each onboard kilowatt-hour, owing to the carmaker’s expertise in aerodynamics, motor and battery efficiency, and to “simple” stuff that’s anything but: Its 4,416-pound curb weight undercuts the Ford by about 400 pounds. And Tesla rules the public charging space, with its Supercharger network that has rivals — now with a potential infrastructure lift from the Biden administration — racing to catch up. The Ford fires back with a sculpted exterior versus the dad-bod Model Y, a tech-savvy interior with superior materials and craftsmanship, and winning performance of its own. With 346 horsepower from dual motors, the Mach-E Premium A.W.D. that I drove shot to 60 miles an hour in 4.8 seconds. Even the new Shelby GT500 — history’s mightiest Mustang, with 760 horsepower — won’t equal the 3.5-second 0-to-60 m.p.h. blast of this summer’s Mach-E GT Performance version. The Shelby would shame the Mach-E or Tesla on any winding road, of course. Yet the Mach-E is reasonably fun through the curvy stuff, and glides with addictive thrust and confidence. A cinema-scale, 15.5-inch touch screen sneaks past the Tesla’s 15-inch unit. Like other E.V.s, the Ford broadcasts its presence below 20 m.p.h., a throat-clearing hum to alert pedestrians. Inside, in its driver-selectable “Whisper” mode, the Ford would please the most persnickety librarian. Dial up “Unbridled” mode and the Mach-E trades glorious silence for an overwrought, faux-engine sound: Think a V-8, remixed by Kraftwerk. The soundtrack is apparently for people who need to be weaned off gasoline’s combustive beat, but it can be shut off with a screen switch. E.V. shoppers can whistle over the Ford’s price, as little as $36,495, or $48,300 for the extended-range A.W.D. model. Those prices include a $7,500 federal tax credit that’s denied to buyers of Tesla (or General Motors) E.V.s, because those automakers have sold too many to qualify. So despite Tesla’s major, defensive price cuts for 2021, the most-affordable, 230-mile-range Mach-E undercuts Tesla’s 244-mile Standard Range by $6,700. A Mach-E Premium A.W.D. saves $2,900 versus a Model Y Long Range. In a surprisingly taut, compelling matchup with the Tesla, credit the government for what may be the Ford’s most alluring advantage: a $7,500 discount. Volkswagen ID.4 No, Volkswagen is not changing its name to Voltswagen, as the company briefly convinced some media and car fans in a marketing stunt gone bad. Regarding historic names, VW calls the ID.4 its most significant model since the original Beetle. But where the Beetle was a revolutionary leader, the ID.4 feels like a follower. Based on my drive, the VW can easily top its 250-mile range rating, with 275 miles within reach. A rear-drive, 201-horsepower model rolls to 60 m.p.h. in 7.6 seconds. That’s on a par with gasoline sport utilities like the Honda CR-V, but pokey by E.V. standards. Dual-motor, all-wheel-drive models arrive later this year, promising 60 m.p.h. in under six seconds. From a company famed for fun-to-drive German cars, the ID.4’s generic performance and styling are letdowns. Its infotainment system is even more disappointing: The clunky, vexing touch screen can’t touch the onscreen wizardry of the Ford, Volvo or Tesla. The VW’s snappiest performance came during a fast-charging session at a Target in New Jersey, replenishing its 77 kilowatt-hour battery from 20 to 80 percent in an impressive 31 minutes. That growing network of Electrify America chargers is funded by VW’s $2 billion, court-ordered penance for its diesel emissions scandal. And VW is offering indulgences to ID.4 buyers, with three years of free public charging. Thrifty virtues include a $41,190 base price, or $33,690 after the $7,500 federal tax break. That’s $2,800 less than the most-affordable Mach-E. It’s also less money, after credits, than a smaller Chevrolet Bolt. The more powerful ID.4 with all-wheel drive will start at $37,370, postcredit. Still, as Tesla’s triumph and Chevy’s lukewarm Bolt have proved, there’s more to electric success than an attractive price. VW is aggressively investing $80 billion to develop E.V.s, but the ID.4 feels less like a market splash and more like a toe in the water. We’ll see if VW erred by not kicking off with a recognizable design that truly connects its nostalgic, weed-hazed past to today’s green virtues: the electric ID.Buzz Microbus, due in 2023. Volvo XC40 Recharge Volvo seems such a natural fit for E.V.s. And the progressive-minded brand brings us the XC40 Recharge, an electrified take on its gasoline XC40. The Recharge is like that perfect dining table in a shelter magazine: You’re not sure why it costs so much, but you want it anyway. The Recharge’s wedgy Scandinavian styling tops every S.U.V. in this group, as does its lovely interior. That includes soft Nappa leather, versus the ascetic “vegan” materials of many E.V.s. The drive is similarly breezy, with 402 horses and a quicksilver, 4.7-second flight to 60 m.p.h. The biggest tech talking point may be Android Automotive OS: The Recharge (and Volvo’s electric Polestar 2) introduces a cloud-based Google operating system that works like a dream, with Google Maps, search, an ultra-capable voice assistant and more. (Don’t confuse this with the ubiquitous Android Auto, which simply mirrors phone apps on a car’s screen.) Several major automakers, including G.M. and Ford, plan to make Android Automotive the nerve centers of coming cars. If only the Volvo itself were as efficient. The Recharge is an electron guzzler, with a 208-mile range that seems optimistic in real-world use. I drove the Recharge in frigid New York weather, which explained some but not all of its hunger for power: No matter how I babied the throttle, the Volvo stayed on a pace for 190 miles, at best, covering about 2.4 miles for each kilowatt-hour in the batteries. I can achieve 3.6 miles per kilowatt-hour with little effort in the Tesla Model Y and above 3.2 in the Ford. Environmental Protection Agency numbers bear that out: Despite having virtually the same-size battery, the Tesla brings 326 miles of maximum range, 118 more than the Volvo. The Recharge is also expensive for its intimate size: $54,985 to start, and nearly $60,000 for the model I drove. That $7,500 federal tax break softens the blow. Yet if the Volvo indulges bourgeois buyers, they’ll also need to indulge its profligate ways. Source link Orbem News #Electric #Sights #SUVs #Tesla

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E first drive review: A very good EV, just an OK Mustang

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E first drive review: A very good EV, just an OK Mustang
Of all the years for Ford to slap the Mustang name on an electric crossover, 2020 seems about right. Subverted expectations are the name of the game and while the nomenclature might not sit well with everyone, rest assured that the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a lovely little EV that speaks of great things to come.
The normal Ford Mustang’s M.O. is pretty straightforward: It’s meant to deliver balanced handling with power that has the capability to overwhelm the rear end. To that end, my First Edition tester holds the party line. With about 332 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque, there’s definitely enough go-juice, but with the majority of the powertrain’s heft located as low as possible, it takes a whole lot of brute manhandling to unsettle the Mach-E. As expected, the instantaneous electric torque makes for exciting starts, but it’s not enough to rip your toupee off your scalp. Even in its sharpest vehicle mode, there’s still plenty of sensible right-pedal modulation on offer, making it easy to power out of one corner and into the next.
Aside from the exciting starts, the Mach-E feels somewhat tame, as if Ford is aiming for more of a grand-touring-style experience. The suspension’s standard fixed dampers err toward softness, with a bit of body roll in corners and a surprisingly well-cushioned ride on the highway. Magnetorheological adaptive shocks are on the docket, but only for the upcoming GT, which seems like a missed opportunity — not only to milk a few more bucks from buyers, but also to offer a slightly sportier experience without requiring the full chunk of change the GT variant will command.
The Mustang Mach-E’s regenerative brakes don’t exactly command a sports-car level of precision, but that doesn’t make them bad. The one-foot-driving mode is stellar, with the right amount of lift-off deceleration making for easily controllable stops. My issues only become present when the left pedal is actually required; the blend point between regenerative and friction braking is incredibly obvious, with a marked shift in deceleration as I push further into the pedal’s throw. Some more linearity would inspire more confident braking and make for more Mustang-y dynamics, so I’m hoping that this gets sorted out on the GT.
The Mach-E offers three different vehicle modes. Whisper is my favorite, taking advantage of the car’s inherent on-road smoothness with a numb accelerator and comfortably light steering feel. Engage, the middle-child option, sharpens throttle and steering while the sportiest mode, Unbridled (groan), ramps the response up even further. Each setting also has its own volume level for the fake engine” noise that Ford pipes into the cabin, which is more of a low-pitched thrum that actually sounds pretty good — better than the usual spaceship-like low-speed noises that most automakers rely on. You can turn it off if you don’t need to pretend you’re driving something nonelectric, though.
The First Edition before me has an EPA-estimated range of 270 miles from its 98.8-kWh battery, but Michigan’s cold ambient temperatures have sliced the onboard computer’s estimated range down to 220 miles and driving with a heavy foot can bring that number down even further. While the battery can accept up to 150 kilowatts of charging power, a trip to a 50-kW charger delivered just 35 kW of max power, requiring a whopping 45 minutes to add about 18% of juice.
Mustang Mach-E Range
For a bit of context, EPA range estimates vary from 211 miles on the low end, representing AWD variants with the standard-range 68.8-kWh battery, to 300 miles on the high end, which covers big-battery versions with rear-wheel drive.
Impressive tech abounds in the Mach-E and it’s obvious from the first glance at the dashboard. The standard 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster focuses only on the most pertinent information, limiting itself to a speedometer, range estimates and the current gear. Enabling lane-keep assist or turn-by-turn directions will add those to the screen, as well, but everything has a distinct place and is easy to reference with a quick glance. It will also change its background in different vehicle modes, which is a fun little touch.
I sincerely hope that Ford puts this screen — and this system — into as many future vehicles as possible. It’s really, really great.
Andrew Krok/Roadshow
Mustang Mach-E Sync 4 infotainment
The real meat and potatoes of the Mach-E’s cabin tech comes from the honkin’ 15.5-inch portrait display centered on the dash. It’s running a modified version of Ford’s Sync 4 system, so it’s responsive and easy on the eyes, with both light and dark motifs available. The top half of the screen is devoted to a single thing, whether it’s a navigation map or audio info, while a series of tiles just beneath allows for quick swapping between various corners of the system, and you can see it all with just a quick glance away from the windshield. Climate controls are at the bottom and, while I miss having physical switchgear for these, the touchscreen controls are easy enough to use at stoplights. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Waze integration are all included, as is a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot running on AT&T’s network. Charging comes by way of two USB ports (one Type-A, one Type-C) per row.
There’s one part of the central display that deserves an award, though. There’s an incredibly powerful settings menu that’s accessed by hitting the Mach-E in the top left corner of the screen. Unlike most menus of this kind, which just sort of expect you to know what everything means, each setting has an information icon that, when clicked, gives you a plain-English explanation of what the various modes or settings do. It’s little things like this that I love and I’m sure people new to the EV experience will also appreciate a bit of handholding to ease the transition.
Mustang Mach-E interior
While some parts of EV life might take some getting used to, the Mach-E’s interior proves that some electric-vehicle benefits are easy to live with. A lack of mechanical bits under the body means there is so much space on offer and it’s only enhanced on my tester thanks to a glass roof that makes the cabin feel quite airy. Usable space is everywhere, with two levels of storage (including a wireless device charger) just under the screen, in addition to sufficiently deep door pockets, another cubby under the armrest and a trunk that, despite the cut roofline, is deep enough for a family’s worth of golf clubs or groceries.
There’s no such thing as having too much storage space.
Andrew Krok/Roadshow
The Mach-E’s interior is mighty pleasant, with supportive front seats that aren’t so tight as to be uncomfortable for more Rubenesque occupants. The fabric interior trim is a lovely touch that zhushes up an otherwise straightforward and sorta-plain dashboard design, and I like that the same trim also covers the speaker housings to bring it all together. I’m hopeful that some of the hard plastics on the A-pillar and lower center console of my preproduction tester are upgraded before reaching buyers, because those parts don’t really feel at home on a car that starts at $43,000. Second-row occupants are in luck, too, because that coupe-ish silhouette doesn’t impugn much on headroom and there’s plenty of legroom available, to boot.
If anything, the closest connection between the Mach-E and the actual Mustang is the exterior design. The coupeover roofline and the fat rear haunches would look just as appropriate on a regular ‘Stang and the rear taillights are pretty much plucked straight from the real deal, albeit with new protuberances that bridge the visual gap across the tailgate. The front end’s “grille” bears a slight Mustang resemblance, as do the headlights, but worry not — with a new Mustang generation on the horizon, something tells me the differences between EV and pony car will dwindle.
While I believe that some connections to the actual Mustang do exist, the Mach-E is more of a grand-touring-focused EV that can be a little sporty when it wants. Considering its price range, which starts around $43,000 and tops off near $60,000 for a First Edition, that seems like the right place to be. Yes, hardcore variants like the GT are on the way, but as it stands, the Mach-E also offers daily usability in a way that most Mustangs don’t. I think the Mach-E is a sign of great things to come from Ford — not only for its most precious nameplate, but for every future EV the automaker produces.

SEMA 2020: RXN Motorsports’ 800WHP 1967 Mustang
Tumblr media
[embedded content]
Over the past 7 days, we’ve brought you a ton associated with content around the hottest and newest products to hit the Ford marketplace. With our annual outing to Vegas canceled, we didn’t have an chance to stroll around and feast the eyes on the beautiful builds that will flood Las Vegas Convention Center for your four-day show each November. Fortunately, SEMA 360 had us protected, and we were able to virtually check out the variety of cars created for the event through an online portal. The development you see here caught our attention — for obvious reasons. The particular 1967 Mustang was built simply by RXN Motorsports out of British Columbia, Canada.
The Fastback will be slathered in black finishes, within and out, with the only suggestions of color being the reddish colored stitching you might notice on the chairs and door panels, as well as the red lights on the AutoMeter gauges. Quilted leather-based interior and a hand-built steel dash merge old school with a touch of recent school.   Paint and entire body work was completed by Sharp Touch Repair . The team decided on 20" US Magazines wheels wrapped within low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport 3G tires in all four corners. They are backed by stopping power through Wilwood . The rear angle gets a boost within the appearance department thanks to the inclusion associated with exhaust tips from a Nissan GT-R.
It’s powered by a good 800-wheel-horsepower 5. 0-liter Coyote motor from a second-generation Boss 302 using a Whipple supercharger planted on top. The particular combination was tuned by Lund Racing .
Check out the video over to see and hear the 1967 in action and let us know what you believe in the comments below. Are you the Coyote-swap fan? How do you feel about the “murdered out” trend?

Future SUVs: Coming Soon to a Dealer Near You
Whether it’s cheap gas, perceived safety, or just collective preference, SUVs and crossovers are the fastest-growing segment of the vehicle market, mostly at the expense of cars. American shoppers can’t get enough of ’em, and automakers are happy to design as many of these higher-profit margin vehicles as they can to meet the demand.
Much as cars used to offer a wide variety of body styles and functions appealing to all sorts of buyers, SUVs and crossovers today come in seemingly endless shapes, sizes, and powertrains. From EVs to rock crawlers, there’s something for everyone coming to your local showroom soon.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
What’s New: The latest addition to the Mustang model line is a battery-electric crossover four-door SUV. Really. Although the Mach-E looks nothing like any Mustang before it, the Blue Oval’s EV certainly packs the straight-line punch to woo pony car fans. The most powerful model—the nearly 460-hp Mach-E GT—aims to scoot from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The slinky crossover relies on one of two available battery packs to power its standard rear-axle motor and optional front-axle motor: a 76-kW-hr Standard Range pack or a 99-kW-hr Extended Range setup. Ford estimates a maximum driving range of 300 miles between charges for rear-drive Mach-Es equipped with the Extended Range battery, though a heavy right foot will surely drag down that distance.
What’s Not: Save for its Mustang nomenclature, the Mach-E shares little else with any Ford before it.
When: Late 2020
How Much: $44,995
Genesis GV80
What’s New: At long last, the Genesis brand’s first SUV is launching for the 2021 model year. The GV80 is a midsize, rear-drive-based SUV with seating for five. The GV80 will be plenty luxurious in base form, offering extra-posh features such as diamond-stitched leather, ash wood trim, augmented reality navigation, and more at a competitive price. Engine choices for the U.S. will include a 2.5-liter turbocharged I-4 making 300 hp and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 good for 375 hp. Both engines will come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
What’s Not: The GV80 is all-new from the ground up, but the design hasn’t changed much from the excellent concept we first saw in 2017.
When: Summer 2020
How Much: $49,925
Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV
What’s New: Cadillac shares its stretched, independently suspended architecture, 6.2-liter V-8 and I-6 diesel engines, and 10-speed transmission with the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon. It justifies its hefty price premium with such tech treasures as 38 inches of curved OLED display screen, augmented reality navigation, Super Cruise, night vision, and AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker sound. New for 2021, a Sport model features blackout trim. Cadillac offers eight interior color themes that can be decorated with myriad woods and leather sew patterns. Standard-wheelbase versions will launch late this year, with the Suburban-size ESV following in early 2021.
What’s Not: Platinum remains the ne plus ultra trim grade.
When: Late 2020 (ESV early 2021)
How Much: $77,500–$102,000 (est)
Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban
What’s New: Nearly everything, but most important: an independent rear suspension. This change, plus the addition of 4.9 and 6.8 inches to the Tahoe’s wheelbase and length (Suburban adds 4.1 and 1.3 inches) aims to again wrest dimensional and ride/handling superiority from Ford’s Expedition/Max. Fourth-gen magnetic ride control shocks are optional, with the upper trims getting MR plus height-adjustable air suspension. There’s a new 270-hp, 460-lb-ft 3.0-liter I-6 diesel option, and all models get a 10-speed automatic. The fancier High Country trim helps keep the Chevy faithful from straying to Yukon Denalis.
What’s Not: The 5.3- and 6.2-liter V-8s continue, adding DFM cylinder deactivation; 2500 and 3500 variants are dropped.
When: Mid-2020
How Much: $50,295–$70,895 (Tahoe), $52,995–$73,595 (Suburban)
GMC Yukon/Yukon XL
What’s New: To everything mentioned in Chevy’s Tahoe/Suburban entry, add GMC’s AT4 off-road-optimized package, which builds on Chevy’s Z71 hardware, for both Yukons. It adds Active Response 4WD electronics plus an electric-locking limited-slip differential, red tow hooks, and more luxurious interior trim. Denali models (60 percent of sales) get a unique dash with integrated touchscreen—rather than one perched on top. There are also real wood inserts, a 15-inch color head-up display, four color themes, and a GMC-exclusive power-sliding center console with a “safe drawer.”
What’s Not: The level of exterior bling on Denali models.
When: Early Summer 2020
How Much: $51,995–$54,595 (Yukon), $54,695–$75,395 (XL)
Ford Bronco Sport
What’s New: The Ford Bronco Sport is the rugged cousin to the Ford Escape, which it shares underpinnings with. The off-road-focused compact SUV is unibody and front-wheel-drive based, but Ford considers it part of the Bronco family, and as such it shares some styling cues with the larger, body-on-frame Bronco. The Bronco Sport is expected to have the 180-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder as its base engine and an optional 250-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will likely be standard. The look is boxier and more upright than the rounded, urban Escape—with shorter overhangs, underbody protection, a two-piece liftgate, chunky roof rails, and black plastic fenders. In keeping with Ford’s overall plans, there will be a hybrid or plug-in hybrid version.
What’s Not: It shares its front-wheel-drive platform and its engines with the Ford Escape.
When: late 2020
How Much: $30,000 (est)
Nissan Rogue
What’s New: Nissan’s best-seller is moving to a new platform shared with Renault and Mitsubishi alliance to keep it among the top 10 best-selling vehicles in America. What you’ll see and touch has been brought into line with Nissan’s latest styling language inside and out. We expect Nissan’s latest 2.5-liter inline-four under the hood driving the front (or all four) wheels, and there’s also the possibility Nissan will put its clever VC-Turbo inline-four under the hood of a sporty model. No matter what, expect a continuously variable transmission. Inside, look for an optional digital dash and a 9.0-inch infotainment screen borrowed from the new Titan.
What’s Not: We expect the new Rogue to ride on the same platform as before, and a number of its parts and features will be shared from other Nissan products.
When: Late 2020
How Much: $27,000 (est)
Volkswagen Tiguan
What’s New: Volkswagen’s global best-seller is due up for a refresh, and you’ll recognize it right away with its sportier nose job and all-LED external lighting front and back. Inside, the Tiguan gets a sportier steering wheel, borrowed from the larger Atlas Cross Sport, and VW’s latest infotainment system with over-the-air update capability. Also available: multicolor interior ambient lighting to set the mood.
What’s Not: Everything else. Volkswagen is considering a plug-in hybrid drivetrain option for the next-generation Tiguan, but for now, it sticks with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic.
When: Fall 2021
How Much: $26,000 (est)
Alfa Romeo Tonale
What’s New: Alfa needs to expand its lineup, and fast. SUVs are hot, so next up is the subcompact Tonale to slot under the compact Stelvio. We expect it to be front-drive based with the option of all-wheel drive, and it will use FCA’s small SUV architecture. The Tonale Concept was powered by an unspecified plug-in hybrid drivetrain, which we think could be the 1.3-liter turbo-four in front and electric motor in the rear used by the Europe-only Jeep Renegade plug-in hybrid, which makes 240 hp total. We also think the Alfa will get a non-hybrid option, probably a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4.
What’s Not: The Tonale will share a platform and likely powertrains with other FCA small crossovers, such as the Jeep Renegade.
When: Early 2021
How Much: $35,000 (est)
Audi E-Tron Sportback
What’s New: Although it’s essentially a fastback version of the E-Tron SUV, with a new roof, new rear quarter panels, and a new tailgate, the E-Tron Sportback has a more carlike presence, like a tall hatchback rather than an SUV trying to look sporty. The Sportback will benefit from a number of technical upgrades from Audi designed to boost range. The front motor will disengage under normal driving, the 95-kW-hr battery’s thermal management system has been made more efficient, and the battery’s usable capacity has been increased to 86.5 kW-hr. As with the regular E-Tron, the well-equipped Sportback will be available in Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels.
What’s Not: The powertrain is the same as the regular E-Tron, with a 187-hp, 231-lb-ft motor at the rear axle and a 168-hp, 182-lb-ft motor up front. Total system output is 355 hp and 413 lb-ft, and an overboost mode gives 402 hp and 490 lb-ft for 8 seconds.
When: 2021
How Much: $80,000 (est)
Kia Sorento
What’s New: Completely redesigned, the Sorento receives a new windswept exterior design. Kia also upgrades the interior with a large screen and sleek controls. Expect ride quality to improve now that the SUV sits on a new platform. New engine options should give the Sorento an extra pep in its step. A 1.6-liter turbo-four works with an electric motor to produce 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.5-liter turbo-four makes 277 hp and 311 lb-ft.
What’s Not: Some styling cues reference the Telluride, including the vertical taillights.
When: Late 2020
How Much: $30,000 (est)
Volkswagen ID 4
What’s New: Volkswagen has learned Americans aren’t much interested in hatchbacks, which is why the first of its all-electric MEB-platform vehicles to arrive stateside will be an SUV. The ID 4 is about the size of Tiguan, but the interior is much roomier. The MEB architecture follows the now-familiar skateboard platform, with a large battery pack between the wheels and motors at the axles. The base ID 4 is likely to be a single-motor rear-drive model, with a GTX version offering two motors, all-wheel drive, and more performance. Top-end ID 4s are expected to have a range of close to 300 miles.
What’s Not: The interior hardware is shared with the ID 3 hatch recently launched in Europe, with a compact digital instrument panel in front of the driver and a large centrally mounted touchscreen for infotainment and HVAC functions.
When: 2021
How Much: $35,000 (est)
Volvo XC40 Recharge
What’s New: The XC40 Recharge marks the debut of Volvo’s first-ever all-electric powertrain. The Recharge shares Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture with the regular XC40, but there’s a liquid-cooled 78-kW-hr battery pack under the floor and a motor on each axle. Volvo claims 408 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque and a 0–60 time of 4.9 seconds. As with all new Volvos, top speed will be limited to 112 mph. Volvo does its own battery research and development in-house and says the available capacity of the battery pack will be 75 kW-hr, which should easily give the XC40 Recharge a range of 240 miles or more.
What’s Not: Apart from the blanked-off grille, the XC40 Recharge looks just like a regular XC40. That’s no bad thing, as Volvo’s entry-level SUV is one of the most stylish in the segment.
When: 2021
How Much: $55,000 (est)
Polestar 2
What’s New: Polestar 2 is the second model for the Scandinavian brand spun off from Volvo to concentrate on performance electric vehicles. Polestar 1 was a plug-in hybrid, but Polestar 2 is a mainstream all-electric premium four-door sedan to battle the Tesla Model 3. The 2 will have a range of about 275 miles with the 78-kW-hr battery in the floor. Front and rear motors provide a combined output of 400 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque. A vegan interior is optional, the infotainment system uses an Android operating system to run Google automotive services, and the advanced tech allows the car to try to anticipate the occupants’ needs.
What’s Not: It features an adaptation of the Volvo CMA architecture used by the Volvo XC40 and the Volvo 11-inch Sensus infotainment screen.
When: Summer 2020
How Much: $63,000 (est)
Fisker Ocean
What’s New: Longtime BMW and Aston Martin designer—and creator of the ill-fated Fisker Karma—Henrik Fisker has bounced back with a green-friendly, five-passenger EV crossover called the Ocean. The Ocean checks all the contemporary EV boxes—up to 300 miles of range, battery capacity north of 80 kW-hr, base 2WD and available AWD, a cool 16-inch center-mounted touchscreen with a haptic touchpad, and a charging partnership with Electrify America. Fun features? A novel multilink rear suspension, a roll-down rear-hatch window for carrying long objects, and karaoke words displayed on the head-up display. The Ocean will be significantly composed of recycled materials such as retrieved ocean plastics and old fishing net.
What’s Not: Although the Fisker name is familiar, everything about the Ocean is new, including the company behind the name.
When: Summer 2022
How Much: $37,499

Civic Type R: equipamentos, motor, desempenho, consumo, preço
Tumblr media
Honda Civic Type R 2020: US$ 36.995
Veja:
Consumo de 9,3 km/l na cidade com gasolina;
Consumo de 11,9 km/l na estrada com gasolina;
Aceleração de 0 a 100 km/h em 5,8 segundos;
Velocidade máxima de 272 km/h.

New Year Brings An Exciting New Range Of Cars On The Market
Now we are full steam ahead into 2020, the motoring world is all revved up for the latest cars available to buy at showrooms across the UK. So, which are the hottest new vehicles coming out the New Year? What make or model is going to make you fork over your hard-earned cash in the next 12 months?
Tumblr media
For starters, with the release of the new James Bond film, why don’t you pick yourself up a new Aston Martin? But this summer, with the release of the DBX, the car giant is entering new territory. The upcoming Aston Martin DBX marks a turning point, being the company’s inaugural sport utility vehicle or SUV. Boasting a 542bhp twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
The beginning of the year sees a revamp of the Jaguar F-Type, which first appeared in 2012. The popular sports car has been given an eye-catching new outer design, with exceptional interior tech and trim. The R model will also come complete with a 5-litre, 567bhp supercharged V8 engine.
2020 also sees the return of the popular Land Rover Defender, but in a brand-new form. The car firm maintains their new model, taking the place of the classic 4×4, is a durable terrain crosser. The Defender will be equipped with spanking new features, such as parking cameras, 14-speaker premium sound system and touchscreen infotainment set up, amongst other additions.
Audi is bringing out new cars in 2020, with their pure electric sports car coupe, the Audi e-tron GT, garnering a lot of attention, due for release at the end of the year.
The end of 2020 also sees another SUV coming out, the Ford Mustang Mach-E. A pure electric vehicle derived from the world-famous muscle car. This economical, ecological vehicle can reportedly travel up to 370 miles without needing to be charged.
As well as SUVs, the new year also sees the arrival of zero-emission superminis like the Honda e, an urban commuter car with a torquey electric motor. The vehicle can also allow you over a hundred miles with half an hour battery charge.
By the look of these exhilarating new cars coming out, 2020 is gearing up to be a year to remember. If you are planning on buying a brand-new car, the next 12 months could be a boom time for the automotive industry. So, don’t miss out.

The 4 Best Muscle Cars of 2020
With a new decade comes new American muscle. Check out this guide for the 4 best muscle cars of 2020.
The Ford Mustang dominated muscle car sales last year, with a total of 72,489 sold. 2020 is a brand new year, and you have options. While the Ford Mustang is impressive, Chevy and Dodge have stepped their game up.
Check out this list of the best muscle cars on the market for 2020.
Chevrolet Camaro
The Camaro is thrilling to drive with excellent handling and a comfortable ride. It comes with several engine options, comfy front seats, and an intuitive infotainment system.
New for the 2020 models is an LT1 trim and an optional 10-speed automatic transmission for the V6 engine.
Performance
The Camaro isn’t short on power with the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that comes standard. It produces 275 horsepower. If this isn’t enough, there are three available engines.
335-horsepower V6
455-horsepower V8
455-horsepower V8
If you’re concerned about fuel economy, then you’ll want to opt for the standard engine. The mpg goes down as you go up in engine size.
Interior
While the interior isn’t as luxurious as other muscle cars on this list, it’s still impressive. It seats four, though there’s distinctly more room in the front than the back.
When it comes to technology, there’s an intuitive 7-inch touchscreen that lets you navigate the Infotainment 3 system. There are plenty of features to keep you comfortable.
Six-speaker audio system
Wi-Fi hot spot
Two USB ports
Bluetooth

There are two body styles and eight different trims to choose from 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. All trims come in the coupe body style, but you can upgrade all except the base model to the convertible body style.
If you’re struggling to pick a trim level, it helps to choose your engine first. This will narrow down your trim level options.
Ford Mustang
Not resting on their laurels, Ford is adding a Shelby GT500 model, optional high-performance package, EcoBoost Handling package, and FordPass Connect standard. The Mustang is so popular because of the wide variety of engine options, exciting handling, and quality materials in the cabin.
Performance
Four engines come in the Mustang. The base model comes with a turbocharged 2.3-liter engine. It only gives you 310 horsepower. For more performance, go with the 5-liter V8 that produces 460 horsepower.
Then there are the specialty models, the Bullitt with 480 hp, Shelby GT350 with 526 hp, and the Shelby GT500 with 760 hp.
Interior
Ford configures the interior of the Mustang to stay true to its roots with its 2+2 configuration for the seats. The two front seats have plenty of room, while the back seats are small and cramped.
When it comes to features, you’ll need to choose a higher level trim. The base model lacks with just the SYNC system and a small display that come standard.
Models
There are four main trim levels for you to choose from; EcoBoost (or base), EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium. Then you can also choose between the fastback coupe and convertible body styles.
If performance is your priority, then check out the Bullitt, GT500, and the GT 350. These models have the V8 engine and are designed to perform at the top of its class.
Dodge Challenger
The 2020 dodge challenger has a new offerings for 2020 with new interior and exterior styling options. These new looks are paired with a large trunk, spacious interior, and powerful engines.
Performance
There are five different engines to choose from for your Challenger, which is almost too many. They range from the 305 horsepower V6 to the 797 horsepower V8. While the fuel economy ratings aren’t out yet for the Challenger, it’s safe to say that the larger and faster options aren’t going to deliver on fuel economy.
Interior
Unlike other coupes, the Challenger has spacious front seats and plenty of legroom for the rear seats. The materials Dodge used are respectable, though not top of the line.
You’ll have plenty of features with the 7-inch touchscreen and UConnect 4 infotainment system. It comes with several other modern features.
Six-speaker audio system

Two USB ports

Models
There are six different trim models for you to choose from, the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye. If you’re looking for serious performance, then you need to start at the R/T trim levels for a V8 engine. For some serious performance, though, Choose one of the Hellcat trims that have track level performance specs.
Dodge Charger
If you’re looking for refined handling, a powerful engine, and user-friendly technology, then the Charger is the muscle car for you. The V6 and V8 engines are sure to impress while the interior is comfortable and roomy.
Keep an eye out for the Scat Pack and Widebody SRT Hellcat models as they are new this year.
Performance
Standard under the Charger hood is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 300 horsepower. If this isn’t enough, consider the V8 option that jumps the horsepower up to 370. Then there’s the Scat Pack engine that’s a mind-blowing 6.4-liter V8 that produces a head-spinning 485 horsepower.
If even that isn’t enough, then you need the Hellcat. Aptly named, it’s 6.2-liter V8 pumps out 707 horsepower. Prepare to go from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds.
Interior
This muscle car has room for everyone with five spacious seats. While other vehicles on this list focus on the front passengers, three adults can comfortably sit in the back seat of the Charger.
While the interior is comfortable, it isn’t the most modern or luxurious feeling. It can even feel a bit dated.
You won’t be disappointed by the included technology. There’s a 7-inch touchscreen that lets you navigate Dodge’s Uconnect infotainment system. Plus, there are plenty of other standard features.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Six speaker stereo
Satellite radio
Bluetooth

Models
There are seven different trim levels for you to choose from, including the SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat Widebody, and Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. If you’re craving performance, then look at the R/T trim level or higher.
If you’re looking for an everyday driver with comfort, then the GT or SXT models are the smarter choices.
