Where the most important thing is the most advanced.
The best-selling US truck challenges expectations each year. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 impresses users whether it be advanced technologies, more convenient features, or more power. The Silverado 1500 provides innovative technology for 2021, which simplifies trailering. The drives are even heavier so that you can twist bigger loads.
New tailgate
The 2021 Silverado 1500 provides more features and access to the six-functional truck bed, starting with the Multi-Flex Tailgate. The weight is 375 pounds and can be controlled by a key fob or the back door controls.
New trailering tech
Several trailering technology is also new for 2021 to give you a better view over your landscape and allow you to get to the hitch. Changing lanes will expose obstacles by using the Trailer Length Indicator. The enhancement to the rear side reveals your truck to the left and right when you reverse it. In addition to the truck bed view — Cargo Bed View Zoom and Bed Hitch Guide — give you a better picture when you try to attach your trailer.
Greater capacities
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will twist an additional 2,500 pounds under its hood when properly fitted with a 2,7-liter turbo engine. Driven by the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo diesel, it increases to 1.900 pounds its towing capacity. Check out the 2021 Silverado Chevrolet 1500 in Houston at Davis Chevrolet. The 2020 Silverado Chevrolet 2500HD was much different from the 2019 production. It was effectively a redesign year and led to a new exterior, interior, and technology in a Chevrolet heavy-duty truck, which has never been seen before. However, it’s been a year since then, and 2021 models hit dealers every day. How do you equate the 2021 Silverado 2500HD to 2020?
In turn, Chevrolet Silverado aims to use the various favorable conditions to make it the best selling vehicle in its category in Argentina and the rest of South America’s Mercosur countries. The strategic focus of GM is on two significant competitive advantages that make the Silverado market more comfortable in the country; the latest diesel-generated engine and Mexico based manufacturing, according to Autoblog Argentina.
When the Chevrolet Silverado enters the local market in the first half of this year, it is the only full-size pickup in America that will offer a diesel engine and will differentiate itself from its rivals in history, recently created. Only V8 petrol engines are available with a large volume cap on the American market, both in the Ford F-Series and the Ram Pickup ranges.

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Entenda as categorias

The 2020 Silverado 1500 Custom Trim Justifies In Its Range
Tumblr media
The Silverado 1500 is one of the best-selling vehicles in Chevrolet's history. This full-size light truck is known for its power and reliability. In 2020, Chevrolet made the Silverado bigger and stronger than ever. The 2020 Silverado 1500 comes in various body styles and trim levels. Buyers will also choose several different engines for this pickup truck.
If you're searching for a rugged vehicle, you'll be hard-pressed to beat the Silverado 1500 Custom trim level. This truck is also an excellent daily driver or a family car. You get all of the best engine and body configuration options with this trim level. You also benefit from numerous comfort and safety equipment.
Let's see what more it has to offer.
Engine and Performance:
When it comes to powertrains, the 5.3-liter V8 will satisfy most buyers. It offers a good grunt with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and is set to a 6-, 8- or 10-speed gearbox, depending on the configuration. The power-hungry will be more than happy with an even bigger 6.2-liter V8 delivering 420 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. This exciting engine quickly powers Silverado custom configurations and, as a bonus, radiates a pleasant cry.
The 2.7-liter turbocharged-4 deserves praise on its own. It moves the Silverado better than you think and makes the truck feel lighter. Perhaps the drivetrain of choice is an inline-six turbo diesel. This diesel Silverado is efficient at speeds up to 33 mpg and powers the locomotive.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Custom Trim can have a 4X4 configuration. This model is available in regular cabs, double cabs, or crew cabs. For those who are uninitiated, a regular taxi is a two-seater. The double cab provides you with a small backseat area. The 2020 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab has four doors, enough space to accommodate more passengers.
Interior:
The custom fairing faces inward, with a manual 4-way seat adjuster for the driver's seat, a manual 4-way seat adjuster for the passenger seat, a rear foldable 60/40 foldable bench (foldable), and a 3-seater seat. It has a tilt wheel manual with safety features for the front 40/20/40 split-bench (STD) and wheel locks (including the child seat's upper tether anchor).
Exterior:
Custom trim includes 17-inch all-season tires and 4X4 configuration. This improves off-road operation and truck control in bad weather. The taillights are upgraded to LEDs, and the outer mirrors are custom heated. There are also halogen daytime running lamps and halogen reflector headlamps with integrated mount stop lamps with switches in the bank on the steering wheel-mounted left side of the cab.
Infotainment and Connectivity:
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom Trim features Chevrolet Infotainment 3 with a 7-inch color touchscreen and AM / FM stereo. Additional features include Bluetooth audio streaming for two active devices, voice commands to phone, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto capable. The audio system is installed with six speakers for better sound.
Safety Features:
Special devices are equipped with six standard airbags. An SD rear-view camera, tire-pressure monitor, and stability control system are standard. Chevrolet is also offering their teen driver package to every trim level. This feature allows you to adjust the settings to promote good driving habits. Settings are paired with unique key fobs so you can activate them once your teen driver gets in the vehicle.
It benefits from a stability control system with proactive roll prevention and traction control, including electronic sway control for trailers and a hill-start assistant. The tire pressure monitoring system with tire inflation alarm and reversing camera is also standard.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has a lot to love for everyone, and we've just scratched the surface of the custom model! Contact Westside Chevrolet - the best Chevrolet dealership in Houston to schedule a test drive.
Enjoy the opportunity to explore all trim levels in person at the best Chevrolet dealer in Texas.

Buying a Used Truck? These 5 Rule the Worksite
Tumblr media
The best used trucks have come a long way from the days of basic bench seats and vinyl upholstery. Modern trucks are more powerful and more capable than ever, but they are also more comfortable, as automakers have responded to the changing demands of truck owners.
In this guide, we’ve highlighted five rugged trucks that are ideally suited for the worksite. If you don’t find the perfect work truck here, check out listings on CarGurus, where you can narrow down your search based on bed-size, cab-size, trim, engine, options, and more.
Tumblr media
1. Ford F-150
Years: 2017-2019 Trim: XLT SuperCab 8’ Bed 4×4 Approx price: $17,000 — $30,000
The Ford F-150 SuperCab has a clamshell door design, which means you have to open the large front door to open the smaller rear half-door. If you plan on mostly using the front seats, this is fine, but if you plan on hauling the kids around a lot, you’d do well to step up to the SuperCrew version of the F-150 with its full four-door setup.
If you want the convenience of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto look for a model from 2017 onwards with Ford’s SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system.
The 2017 F-150 comes standard with a 282-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, and many XLT trims are available with one of the more powerful EcoBoost V6 engines. For 2018, there was a shakeup in the powertrain offerings, including a more powerful base V6, now making 290 horsepower.

Tumblr media
2. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Years: 2017-2018 Trim: LT Double Cab 4×4 Approx price: $23,000 — $30,000
The previous generation of Silverado was coming to an end in 2018, which means Chevrolet added extra equipment to entice buyers who might otherwise have waited for the new model.
Step inside and not much has changed from this older truck to the latest version. The control layout is nearly identical, and the latter years of the LT trim come with the MyLink infotainment system that provides a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Unlike the F-150, which has clamshell doors on its extended cab truck, the extended cab version of the Silverado utilizes conventional second row doors. Many models also feature a front bench with a middle seat that folds into a center console.
While the standard engine is a 4.3-liter V6, those wanting more power should keep an eye out for a model with the 5.3-liter V8, which puts out a stout 355 horsepower. All versions of the Silverado come with the helpful bed corner steps.

Tumblr media
3. Ram 1500
Years: 2016-2018 Trim: SLT Quad Cab 4×4 Approx price: $17,000 – $27,000
Ram does things a bit differently from Ford and Chevy. The truck-maker acknowledged and responded to the idea that its pickups were being used for a lot of things other than worksite duties, such as commutes and road trips. As a result, the Ram 1500 does away with traditional leaf spring suspension, and instead features a multi-link setup at the rear to give it a more comfortable ride. But that doesn’t mean the Ram 1500 can’t handle a bit of work.
The Ram 1500 comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 making 305 horsepower, but many vehicles from these years can be found with the 395-horsepower 5.7-liter V8. Some are even available with the EcoDiesel V6, which offers V8-levels of torque with improved efficiency.
Like the Silverado’s Double Cab, the Ram 1500’s Quad Cab uses conventionally opening second-row doors. Inside, the Ram 1500 uses high-quality cabin materials, and has easy-to-use controls. The SLT comes with power windows and locks, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Higher trims come with a larger touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (starting in 2018), and the RamBox cargo system. There’s no doubt that, for the money, the Ram 1500 offers a comfortable ride, a strong base V6, and a spacious interior.

Tumblr media
2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain SLT
4. GMC Sierra 1500
Years: 2015-2016 Trim: SLT Double Cab 4×4 Approx price: $19,000 – $30,000
The previous generation of both GM trucks (Silverado and Sierra) have more conventional styling than their current counterparts.
The Sierra SLE is very similar to the Silverado LT, in that it is slightly elevated from the base truck and provides some welcome creature comforts. The SLE can be had with many different options; while most will come with the basic 6-speaker stereo and USB port, others may be found with the optional GMC IntelliLink infotainment system. This is similar to Chevy MyLink and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The SLE trim comes standard with the 4.3-liter V8 engine, but many can be found with the 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 engine. If you don’t need four-wheel drive, you can save a few dollars by choosing a rear-wheel-drive model.

Tumblr media
5. Toyota Tundra
Years: 2012-2016 Trim: SR5 Double Cab Approx price: $20,000 – $30,000
If you’re looking for something a bit different from the Big Three, the Toyota Tundra is big, spacious, and comes with standard V8 power for all the years we are recommending here. Despite being a bit long-in-the-tooth, Tundras hold their value well, with prices for the SR5 being close to that of Big Three trucks with similar bed/cab/powertrain configurations.
The standard engine in the Tundra is a 4.6-liter V8 making 310 horsepower, though many SR5s can be found with the optional 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8. While it may seem advantageous to go for the less powerful V8 to save a few dollars, it is actually less efficient than the larger V8.
The Tundra has a very spacious cabin. All trims, including the base SR come equipped with the Entune infotainment system, which was updated for 2016. It features a 6.1-inch touchscreen, but while it is very easy to use, it does lack Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Which do you have to Buy, 2019 or 2020
Most significant changes: New-for-2020 turbo-diesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder now available on LT, RST, LTZ and High Country models; 6.2-liter V-8 and 10-speed automatic now available on supervisor and RST models; 5.3-liter V-8 now paired with 10-speed automatic and standard on LT supervisor and available on High Country; 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder are often had in Custom trims; trailering tech that debuted on 2020 Silverado 2500/3500 now available on the 1500 Price changes: Base WT starting price increases by $100, but price changes vary counting on powertrain chosen for trim level On sale in chevy dealer near belmont  Now Which do you have to buy, 2019 or 2020? 2020. With all the new tech and more powertrain options from top to bottom, a 2020 should be the straightforward choice unless you’re trying to find an absolutely bare-bones work truck.
Tumblr media
Chevrolet’s Silverado lineup may have slipped to 3rd place in pickup sales for the 2019 civil year , but the updates offered for the 2020 1500 model could also be enough to assist the Bow-Tie brand reclaim its usual second-place spot within the truck sales hierarchy. Related: 2020 pickup of the Year Nominees The most significant powertrain update is that the all-new turbo-diesel 3.0-liter baby Duramax as an option for LT, RST, LTZ and High Country trims. We’ve driven the new diesel and love it , albeit it's going to not always be ready to meet its EPA estimated fuel economy rating of 23/33/27 mpg city/highway/combined (in 4×2 configuration). We liked it such a lot , in fact, that the diesel-powered 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 diesel is one among our 2020 pickup of the Year nominees. Significant changes have also been made in powertrain availability. Chevy is expanding the amount of choices for shoppers who might want more power for his or her pickup without the more luxurious interiors of the LTZ or High Country trims or their higher prices  by chevy dealership gastonia nc making the 6.2-liter V-8 and 10-speed available within the lower supervisor and RST trims. Also available for the 6.2-liter may be a Performance Upgrade Package ($1,875) that adds a higher-flow air intake and cat-back exhaust and increases horsepower from 420 to 435 and torque from 460 pounds-feet to 469.
The 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine also will be available on the Custom trim level (it’s standard within the RST and LT). The 5.3-liter V-8 is now paired with the 10-speed automatic as standard equipment on the LT supervisor and available as an option on the four-wheel-drive High Country; the 5.3-liter V-8 with an eight-speed is standard on the LTZ and High Country and available on the LT and RST. chevrolet charlotte nc advanced trailering technology — one among the explanations the 2020 Silverado 2500/3500 is one among our pickup of the Year nominees for 2020 is now available for the smaller Silverado 1500, including the “transparent trailer” feature that uses cameras to supply a rear view when trailering as if the trailer weren’t there.
Tumblr media
Trailering side mirrors, a lower-tech thanks to make trailering safer and easier, also are available. The last camera trick Chevy has up its sleeve is that the availability of an adaptive control system that uses a camera mounted behind the car mirror to stay the truck at a secure following distance. This feature are going to be available on LT, LTZ and High Country models chevrolet dealership charlotte. As for pricing, the bottom 2020 WT trim level starts at $29,895 (all prices include destination) — $100 quite the 2019’s $29,795. Most full-sized pickup owners will agree that the powertrain is the heart of their pickup. The other factors that are also important are a functional bed, an interior that is comfortable, looks tough and is filled with technology.  But if the key criteria are how this pickup accelerates, sounds, shifts and tows, you really can’t go wrong with the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
The next easy step

Nissan Titan vs. Nissan Titan XD: Which Is the Better Buy?
With many full-size pickups, there’s a pretty clear delineation between the half-ton and heavy-duty version. The Ford F-150 and the Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, for instance, all live under the same F-Series umbrella but sport different styling, different engines, and even slightly different interiors. Very little differentiation exists between the revised and 2020 Nissan Titan XD. Nissan’s half-ton Titan and three-quarter-ton Titan XD both share the same general sheetmetal, same interior, and even the same engine and transmission. So which Titan is the better buy?
What, Exactly, Is the Same?
The two Titans share a lot more than their badges, names, and general designs. Under the hood of both the 2020 Titan and 2020 Titan XD sits Nissan’s Endurance 5.6-liter V-8, which produces 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, increases of 10 horsepower and 19 lb-ft over the 2019 model. They also share transmissions, a standard 9-speed automatic. A 5.0-liter Cummins-sourced turbodiesel V-8 used to be available on the Titan XD, but it was dropped for the 2020 model year.
The Titan XD comes with a longer bed, but its interior is the same size as that of a Titan crew cab, sporting the same five-passenger seating configuration and identical head-, knee-, leg-, and shoulder-room dimensions. Both trucks also share an upgraded 9-inch Apple CarPlay-friendly infotainment system and Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 driver assistance suite with forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beams, and lane departure warning.
What’s the Difference Between the Nissan Titan and Titan XD?
Not much, but also a whole lot. First off, there’s the matter of size—the Titan XD, being a heavy-duty three-quarter-ton truck with a 6.5-foot bed, its wheelbase and length are longer and its suspension stands taller than the Titan. The Titan crew cab with 5.5-foot bed (an extended cab with a 6.5-foot bed is also available on the Titan) sports a 139.8-inch wheelbase and is 228.2 inches long and 79.5 inches wide (the Pro4X trim adds 1.3 inches of length and 1.2 inches of width), and height ranges from 75.1-77.2 inches depending on model. The Titan XD, which only comes in a crew cab/6.5-foot box configuration, has a 151.6.-inch wheelbase and is 243.4 inches long, 79.5 inches wide, and 78.9 inches tall (with Pro4X bodywork altering those dimensions by similar amounts).
Mechanically, there are only two differences between the two Titans. One is in their standard drivetrains; the Titan comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while the Titan XD is only available with four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is a $3,200 option on the Titan. The two trucks have different final drive ratios, too; the Titan’s is 3.69:1, while the Titan XD has a shorter 4:08:1 ratio.
How Much Can the Titan Tow and Haul?
In its most capable configuration, the Titan maxes out with a payload capacity of 1,680 pounds and a towing capacity of 9,210 pounds. The Titan XD, in its most capable configuration, has a maximum payload capacity of 2,450 pounds, a hitch towing capacity of 10,880 pounds, and a gooseneck towing capacity of 11,000 pounds.
Those figures are fairly middling for their respective classes. In the half-ton segment, the Ford F-150 can outhaul and out-tow both the Titan and Titan XD, with a 3,270-pound payload capacity and 13,200-pound tow capacity. Both the Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 come close to besting the Titan XD’s payload capacity (2,300 pound and 2,280 pounds for the Ram and Chevy, respectively) and do beat the Nissan truck’s towing capacity, at 11,620 and 12,200 pounds, respectively.
Which Titan Is Better to Drive?
Despite a 780-pound difference between the Titan XD and lighter Titan, they both drive pretty similarly. The Titan’s 7.3-second 0–60 mph and 15.6-second quarter mile time is a tenth of a second quicker than the Titan XD’s, and it traps at 90.9 mph, 2.6 mph faster than the XD. The Titan stops shorter than the XD in 60–0 mph braking tests, 128 feet versus 138 feet, but both trucks round the figure eight in 28.4 seconds at 0.60 g average.
Out in the world, the two trucks drive more differently than the numbers would suggest. The Titan XD’s shorter gearing, for instance, really makes it feel quicker than the Titan, even if the numbers prove it isn’t. Unsurprisingly, the standard Titan feels much nimbler than its big brother. While both trucks’ light, overly boosted steering is  worthy of neither praise nor criticism, the Titan XD’s aircraft carrier-like turning circle is certainly worth the latter. At 53.8 feet (versus the standard Titan’s 48.0-foot turning circle), any turn beyond 90 degrees in anything less than a wide-open field in the XD requires multiple points and lots of patience. Both trucks ride similarly; harsh impacts are well damped by the suspension, but a fair amount of head toss and body roll is transmitted to the cabin.
How Much Does a Nissan Titan Cost?
Prices for the 2020 Nissan Titan start at $37,785 for a rear-drive King Cab S model, but our well-equipped crew cab Titan Pro4X 4×4 stickered for $58,655. Prices for the 2020 Nissan Titan XD S start at $46,175, while our Titan XD SL tester was priced at $61,790.
Which Titan Is the Better Buy?
We’ll leave the issue of whether one should consider a Titan over its domestic rivals for another story, but between the two Titans, the standard half-ton Titan is the better buy. It’s cheaper, easier to drive, and available in more configurations. And, perhaps most important, its payload and towing numbers are at least sort-of class-competitive, making it a far more competitive pickup truck than the Titan XD.
