Meet the 2020 CT4-V đșđž ______________________________________ [5/30/19] Cadillac has launched the all new CT4 sedan first in its V Guise which really is like a âV-Sportâ trim as we are waiting on the next higher trim of the V hierarchy with more power and performance. So this new CT4 replaces the ATS and I think it looks really good⊠except the rear is a bit too quirky. đ„[@Allcarnews Spec Sheet] Powering the CT4-V is a odd choice, a 2.4L turbo Four cylinder that is found in GM pickups and makes 320HP and 369 lb-ft of torque paired to a 10 speed gearbox to either the rear or all four wheels. Keep in mind the outgoing ATSV made 464HP from a TT V6. In its current form, the CT4-V should compete with the Audi S3 and A35 AMG đ„ Cadillac has said this new CT4 chassis offers 50/50 weight distribution and the CT4-V gets Brembo brakes, the next generation of Magnetic Ride control, a limited slip rear diff, a new V mode dial, and sportier gauge clusters, wheels and seats. Now for the general CT4 stylingâŠ..The front looks pretty unique and good albeit the Caddy badge is a tad too large for the grille. But the rear just doesnât fit the car in this Blue, I actually like it as its rather unique and looks good with the quad exhaust tips. The interior also looks much better on the CT4 than on the CT5, possibly because everything is tighter and smaller overall. The Standard CT4 will be unveiled soon. ________________________________________ ACN EXTRA: Is this a big disappointment to you all??

Kurz gefahren | 2020 Audi RS5 Sportback - Streber

One Week With the 360-HP 2020 Cadillac CT5-V
âThe Cadillac CT5 is one of those cars that I canât recommend to people shopping in this class,â I said during our last Car of the Year discussion. âI just donât see anything special or attractive here.â Pretty much everyone agreed the Cadillac didnât have a chance of moving forward as a finalist. It simply didnât handle like its predecessors, the ATS and CTS.
A few months later, my colleague Jonny Lieberman got to drive the 2020 Cadillac CT5-V during its launch in Palm Springs and came back stunned. âThis thing drives fabulously,â he wrote.
So when I took delivery of the CT5-V, my expectations were still low. Not that I donât trust Jonny, but my personal experience with the non-V was nothing extraordinary.
The CT5-V changed my mind.
But before I tell you why, let me reiterate what the CT5-V is doing here. It is essentially replacing the CTS V-Sport, not the CTS-V. The 2020 CT5-V will compete against the Audi S4, BMW M340i, and Mercedes-AMG C 43. Itâs sort of in that middle bracketâmore powerful than the base, but not the high-performance variant. Of course, with the nomenclature Cadillac has adopted, it looks silly going from the CTS-V with a supercharged V-8 and 640 hp to a CT5-V with a twin-turbo V-6 and 360 hp. But thatâs the game Cadillac decided to play. We know, however, that the recently announced CT5-V Blackwing is coming soon and that car will fully replace the CTS-V. When exactly that high-performance variant is coming, we still donât know. But maybe next year.
2020 Cadillac CT5-V: The Drive
Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 360 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, the CT5-V feels quick. Thereâs plenty of power for a car this size, and as a result you get a sporty experience at the wheel. Simply press down the throttle, and youâll hear an artificial roar coming from the rear speakers as your back is pushed against the seat and the speedoâs needle rises. Whether youâre in the corners or on the freeway, the CT5-V is a fun car to drive. Based on the Alpha 2 platform, which is the evolution of the Alpha platform that served as the base for some Car of the Year winners like the CTS and Chevy Camaro, the CT5-V brings the sportiness that we missed on the regular CT5. The steering is very direct and precise, and with the 10-speed automatic sending all that power to the rear wheels the drive becomes even more fascinating.
That 10-speed automatic is the one co-developed by GM and Ford. The gearbox is quick to shift and pretty smooth, and when you press down the throttle, it will downshift immediately. All-wheel drive is available on the CT5-V, but weâd recommend staying with the rear-wheel drive, as itâs fun and sportier.
Whatâs even better is the suspension. Weâre big fans of the MagneRide dampers, which make the ride sporty when it needs to be, but comfortable when you want it to be. I stayed in Tour mode for the majority of the week, as I was driving in the city most of the time. The ride was cheerful yet composed, and I never felt beat up by the suspension. The ride is a bit stiffer in Sport mode, but it was still comfortable.
Interior
Things didnât change much in the interior compared to the regular CT5. Like other GM products, the CT5-Vâs cabin design is bland. Our testerâs black-on-black interior lacked wood or any other contrasting trims, but we like the carbon-fiber trim on the door panels.
Unlike the Germans, who use different badges to remind the occupants that they are riding in a performance vehicle, Cadillac avoided placing V logos all over the cabin, but left the interior unchanged from the regular CT5. To me, that seems like a missed opportunity. Not because I like logos all over the interior, but because thereâs not a single indication that this is a special model. Cadillac doesnât even offer cool options for the interior, like red or cognac leather, which weâve seen in Audis and BMWs. For a brand thatâs trying to attract younger buyers, those details matter.
One of my favorite features is the standard 10-inch touchscreen, which is equipped with the new infotainment system thatâs easy to use and quick to respond. The screen is standard across all CT5-Vs and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The navigation system has new graphics that look similar to Google Maps, and you can use it just like your smartphoneâpinch to zoom or drag your finger to move the map around.
I found the optional Bose premium audio system to be phenomenal. Music, even when you stream it, sounds crisp and sharp. The color head-up display was also practical and reminded me to slow down when going through a school zone.
Safety
Itâs a shame Super Cruise isnât offered in the 2020 CT5-V. Reportedly, 2021 models will get it, and per our previous reviews, itâs worth the wait. Weâre sure Cadillac will charge more for Super Cruise than what it currently charges for the Driver Assist and Advanced Security package ($1,950), but it will be worth it.
In terms of standard safety techs, the CT5-V includes rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. To get adaptive cruise control, you must get the aforementioned $1,950 package, which is a bummer given that you can get a $20,000 Honda Civic with that technology.
Conclusion
Our loaded 2020 Cadillac CT5-V came with a $61,540 sticker price, including almost $13,000 in options. That price falls right in line with a loaded rear-wheel-drive M340i (although the BMW has a much higher starting price), but itâs lower than a loaded S4. Are you getting a lot of bang for your buck? Yes, if you donât check all of the boxes. And given that thereâs only one trim for the CT5-V, you wonât be giving up anything in terms of performance.
The CT5-V really changed my mind from my bad impression of the CT5 we drove at Car of the Year, and thatâs a good thing for Cadillac. As a performance car, it brings a lot to the brand, but we canât wait to find out what Caddy has in store for its new high-performance sedan that will truly replace the mighty CTS-V.

The Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing will have manual transmission options 2020 Cadillac CT5 V Fresh off of a win at the Daytona 24-hour race, Cadillacs underscoring its sporty side by bringing back the manual transmission in its CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing cars, says a report from Muscle Cars and Trucks. The vehicles will be built on GMs new Alpha platform, which underpins many of the brands upcoming vehicles. The architecture lets a manual transmission fit behind more than just one engine, too.The list of engines that will connect to that manual transmission is dwindling, however, with the announcement Cadillac would be dropping the 4.2-litre twin-turbo Blackwing DOHC V8.Instead, the slack will be taken up by the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 that weve seen in previous generations of the Corvette. While the 6.2-litre will make 650 horsepower, the Blackwing V8 made just 550 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The CT5-V Blackwing will enjoy the larger V8, while the CT4-V Blackwing will be happy to receive the old ATS-Vs 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, producing 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the manual transmission, the vehicle is essentially an updated version of the 2015 CTS-V. Base model CT4-Vs will receive a 320-horsepower four-cylinder.Were sad for the demise of the Blackwing V8, since it was a real game-changer in the pushrod-V8 saturated market, but at least a manual transmission coupled to a 650-horsepower engine will soothe our

EXCLUSIVE: 2020 CT4 Spied đșđž ______________________________________ [6/10/19] Now we have already seen the new CT4 in its V form but we have yet to see the base CT4 and how it will differ from its higher performing brother. Now we have exclusive spy shots of the regular CT4 from @puppiesnmuscles ! Unsurprisingly it looks very similar to the quicker CT4V without the quad exhaust tips, sportier tires and well that mostly it! The regular CT4 is expected to launch this year before going on sale next year as a 2021 model and will go head to head with the likes of the 3 series, G70 and A4! đ„[@Allcarnews Spec Sheet] We can expect a 2.0L Turbo to power the non V CT4 with around 237HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. Powering the CT4-V is a odd choice, a 2.7L turbo Four cylinder that is found in GM pickups and makes 320HP and 369 lb-ft of torque paired to a 10 speed gearbox to either the rear or all four wheels. Expect pricing for the baae CT4 to start around $34k-$35K. ________________________________________ ACN EXTRA: Will the CT4 be more of a success than the outgoing ATS?? ________________________________________ - - Text Copyright: @Allcarnews Spyshots by: @pubertyhit.s #Cadillac #CT5 An #allcarnews post #V6 #CTS #ATS #USA #CTSV #BMW #3series #XT4 #CT4 #hothatch||#powerful #performance #turbocharged #advanced #SupercarsRevamped #Supercar #HyperCar #ItsWhiteNoise #GM #MadWhips #manual #Carstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/ByjEx3phVT8/?igshid=29ecg4jmug5e

These Cadillac CT5-V and CT4-V Prototypes Give a Glimpse at the Real V-Series Models
Cadillac is showing a glimpse of the upcoming hard-core performance versions of the CT5 and CT4 sedans. These models are more track-oriented and should pack significantly more power than the recently revealed 355-hp CT5-V and 320-hp CT4-V.These cars are likely to wear some new version of the V-Series name to designate their place at the top of the lineup, but we don't know what it will be.You may have been disappointed by the middling specs of the new Cadillac CT5-V and CT4-V, but Cadillac promised that higher-performance versions of these two sedans were coming-and now it has the receipts. A pair of prototypes hit the track at the Detroit Grand Prix this weekend to give a first look at the true replacements for the outgoing CTS-V and ATS-V. While Cadillac still won't say what these next-level CT5-V and CT4-V, they certainly look like serious performance machines. In contrast to the mild tweaks applied to the CT5-V and CT4-V models shown last week, these new variants boast significantly more aggressive body kits, additional vents and scoops that seem to be for cooling purposes, and bigger wheels, tires and brakes. We hear from onlookers at the Grand Prix that the CT5-V's engine note suggested V-8 power-likely Cadillac's 4.2-liter "Blackwing" V-8 with more than 500 horsepower-and the CT4-V sounded like some sort of V-6-we're thinking it will be a carryover twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 from the ATS-V.
As far as names, we'd wager a guess at something like "CT5-V Plus" or some other suffix to signify that these cars pack a bigger punch than the 2020 CT5-V and CT4-V that are meant to sit on a lower rung of the performance ladder. Those already revealed V-Series cars equate more closely to previous Cadillac models that wore the now-defunct "V-Sport" moniker, while the yet-to-be-revealed prototypes you see here are the true replacements for the outgoing CTS-V and ATS-V we knew and loved. We will keep an eye out for more information on these new V-Series models, which should make their official debuts later this year.

2020 Cadillac CT5 Price Undercuts the BMW 3 Series by Quite a Bit
Cadillac has announced pricing information for its new compact sedan. With a starting price of $37,890, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 is $3,355 less expensive than a base 2019 BWW 3 Series, and $2,305 less expensive than a base Audi A4. It also undercuts the Lexus IS by $1,695.
The CT5 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine making 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and pairing to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include a 10-inch touchscreen with rotary controller, keyless entry and push-button start, OnStar, and a safety suite including forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and automatic braking.
Priced from $41,690, the Premium Luxury trim focuses on opulence, offering a warm maple sugar leather and wood interior. Sport models, available from $42,690, get a more industrial-looking cabin. Opting for all-wheel drive instead of rear-wheel drive will add $2,600 to the price of a base model or the Sport model, but itâs a $3,090 upgrade on the Premium Luxury trim.
Cadillac has not yet announced pricing for models with the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine, which pack 335 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque and are mated to the 10-speed auto. Also forthcoming is pricing info on the upcoming 355-hp V-Series model and Super Cruise models.

Caddy says new V-Series' horsepower is lower because drivers were 'intimidated' The 2020 Cadillac CT5-VGraeme Fletcher / Driving.ca As we recently covered, the new 2020 CT4-V and CT5-V have arrived with upgrades across the board, except for in the power department. Thatâs down, but why? According to statements made by GM president Mark Reuss and reported by Automotive News, people were scared of the gobs of horsepower in the last V-Series, so the company is pulling back a bit for this new generation to make them more appealing. Â There was, frankly, some people who were intimidated by the cars, Reuss said following the unveiling of the cars last week. When we did a V-Series, they were hammers. There's some intimidation there. Those âhammersâ included the CTS-V, which claimed 640 horsepower from its supercharged V8 and topped out at over 320 km/h; and the ATS-V, whose twin-turbo V6 made 464 horsepower and could push the car to 304 km/h. Â In contrast, the new V-Series CT4-V makes 320 horsepower from its turbocharged four-cylinder, while the CT5-V gets 355 from its turbo-six. So, yeah, theyâre less intimidating now, perhaps hinting at a detuned CT6-V on the way, too (its 550 horsepower will no doubt be too scary for drivers, as well). Meanwhile, Cadillac has been testing a pair of track-ready V-Series prototypes that Reuss says ârepresent the next step in Cadillacâs V-Series performance legacy.â Itâs expected the track-approved CT4-V will house a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with 400-plus horsepower, and the matching CT5-V either a twin-turbo
