Greetings from Riverblossom Hills Year one: introduction

Here is the town of Riverblossom Hills

This rural town is far away from.. well, everything. It's a nice place for the young to grow up (although, maybe a bit boring at times...).

There's currently 16 sims spread across 6 households in the town:

202 Welsh Lane: Wan household. Patricia Wan & Cleo Shikibu lives here.

125 Huckleberry Lane: O'Mackey household. Gabe & Jules O'Mackey lives here.

110 Old Farm Road: Greenman household. Rose, Jason & Daisy Greenman lives here.

115 Old Farm Road: McGreggor household. Leod McGreggor lives here alone.

208 Welsh Lane: Roth household. Morty, Stella, Sandra & Xander Roth lives here.

204 Old Farm Road: Viejo household. Catherine Viejo lives here along with Betty Goldstein, and Andrew & Jacob Martin.

202 Welsh Lane was one of two lots that i was so angry about that i built an entire new house from scratch without making it look like "renewed" version of old self sorry, Catherine, but your vacation house didn't appeal to me (pic from simwiki because i didn't think i would make a post about it, but here i am)

and here's the rebuild we can always pretend it was Cleo's idea to fit her minimalist vision

finding a simple floor mattress was an entire challenge in itself, but i managed

Cleo is the orchestra lead in this playthrough because it doesn't seem right to me that everyone who has anything to do with music becomes a rock god

202 Welsh Lane, the Wan residence.

The result of yesterday’s stream! Sadly I couldn’t finish the lot during the stream because of my pc crashing twice, so I had to furnish the final parts on my own. Anyway, this is the house that belongs to the Wan family. I like to think that all the older residents of Riverblossom Hills really dislike this house because it doesn’t look like the rest of the houses.

*gasps* “Harold, they left the bricks exposed...on purpose!”

I still tried to keep orange as the main house colour, it was really hard considering I hate orange.

Next up is a family I was really looking forward to playing, the Newsons. They’ve moved into 202 Welsh Lane mostly because it was cheap enough that they’d still have enough money for furnishings, but still with enough space for all the children to grow up.

I may have spent too much decorating the bedrooms so the downstairs started off pretty sparse.

Sorry for the lack of Strangest Town content. I’ve been on Easter vacation and never had a stable enough internet connection to upload to my queue. Also, I haven’t finished playing the “Nerdists” yet, so it’ll take some time for the queue to start again. Sorry… And it seems I don’t have enough Sim Projects already, so I couldn’t stop thinking about something while on Easter vacation. You know this theory (from the sims wiki), that Riverblossom Hills is based on Pleasantview and its characters are parodies of the beloved base game characters? Well, here’s the concept about:
