That “He can’t see without his glasses” scene from ‘My Girl’ but it’s Richie screaming about how much Eddie hates the sewers.

He hates the germs. He hates the dark. He hates being alone.

And Richie can’t see without his glasses, but he refuses to wear them. In order to wear them he’d have to clean them, but cleaning them would remove the splatter of Eddie’s blood. The last bit of Eddie he has left.
