TheĀ 2019 Mazda MiataĀ handles well and its standard AWD gives off-road ability as well, though only the turbo model offers spirited performance.

Top 7 Best Fixed Back Racing Seats of 2021
Upgrading to racing seats is beneficial for a number of reasons, including improved safety, weight savings, enhanced comfort levels, more rigidity, and better value. One such option is fixed back racing seats which are the same seats that keep rally-car drivers in place as they zoom around tight corners at breathtaking speeds. Fixed back racing seats minimize driver motion and ā€œplantā€ them in place so they can focus primarily on their driving lines instead of fighting against unwanted body movement.Ā
Fixed bucket seats provide high-performance hold and will incredibly enhance your overall driving experience over the stock seats.Ā All fixed back seats will also come with provisions to accept your preference of shoulder harnesses. If you are in the market to upgrade your vehicleā€™s stock seats for a lighter and more advanced version that is suitable for street driving and track going, then the following list will help you on your search. We have compiled a list of the top 7 best fixed back racing seats of 2021 from popular brands like Recaro, Sparco, and Bride. You can also shop Vivid Racingā€™s entire inventory of racing seats right here.Ā

5. SparcoĀ QRT-R 2019 Competition Seat
The SparcoĀ QRT-R is the first seat to feature the brandā€™s patented QRT ultra-light technology. QRT is a patented state-of-the-art technical process based on aerospace technologies to create a lightweight and durable seat that delivers weight savings of up to 30 percent compared to traditional production methods. This QRT Technology gives an unparalleled mechanical strength to weight ratio for fiberglass composite racing seats. QRT Technology provides an average weight savings of 7 pounds (up to 10-plus pounds) per shell. The main benefit is that these seats approach the weight of a carbon fiber seat at the price point of a fiberglass seat. In fact, the QRT-R is the lightest ā€œmedium/largeā€ size fiberglass seat on the market with the shell weighing in at only 9.9 pounds (15 pounds in full trim). Ā  The FIA-approved QRT-R seat has a unique CAD design that features a lower seating position that can fit a taller driver with the exterior dimensions that can fit into smaller vehicles. In fact, this series of seats was specifically designed for larger drivers and can fit a 36-inch waist driver comfortably. The Sparco QRT-R requires the special QRT-R Side mounts (#600QRT) which allows the seat to be racked back for a comfortable seating position.
Features:
Lightest ā€œMedium/Largeā€ size fiberglass seat on the market
Lower seating position that can fit taller/larger drivers
Smaller outer dimensions for small vehicle fitment
QRT Technology gives an average weight savings of 7lbs per shell
FIA-approved to guarantee high levels of quality and safety
6.Ā Tillet B5 Race Car Seat
The Tillet B5 Race Car Seat was originally designed to complement the narrow Lotus Elise/Exige. Because its compact exterior increases headroom significantly, the B5 is shaped to sit the driver lower in the car, which reduces the likelihood of hitting their crash helmet on a roll cage. This can also prove to be a gamechanger for tall drivers in low cars like the Mazda Miata. With these seats, you can sit within three-quarter inches of the floor pan. And, although the seat is small, it can fit a surprisingly wide range of driver sizes. Itā€™s important to note that while the B5 seat works well in narrow cars, it has been successfully installed in Audis, Ferraris, Porsches, kit cars, and more!
The new Tillet B5 seat weighs in at just 9.3 pounds with a 17-inch height, 32-inch width, and 24-inch length. The seat is not only remarkably light but also very rigid, which adds to the handling feedback and heightened feeling of security. These seats are made from either GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), which is an extremely sturdy yet economical material, or GRP with a layer of carbon fiber on the seating surface. The carbon fiber outer not only looks amazing but is also somewhat more resistant to wear and tear than the black/GRP gel coat finish.
Since this seat is not a full bucket seat, it is compatible with 3-point or 5-/6-point belts, making it a highly versatile option and a top choice for both street and track cars. It has a side profile that was developed from many years of manufacturing kart seats, and provides excellent support while leaving the shoulders free to help steer the car unhindered.
Features:Ā
Very narrow seat allowing for easy installation
Fits cars like the Lotus Elise/Exige or Mazda Miata
Lightweight weighing in at 9.3 pounds
Usable with OEM street 3-point belts
Compatible with 5-/6-point racing harnesses
Available in carbon/GRP or black GRP finish
Compatible with a HANS or neck restraint device
Height 17ā€³ (43.2 cm)
Width 32ā€³ (81.3 cm)
Length 24ā€³ (61.0 cm)
7. Bride ZETA IV Full Bucket Seats
Ā  Ā  The Bride ZETA IV seat is the latest model of the brandā€™s ZETA series which has won many races and kept drivers safe since its launch in 1990. This is the standard model of Brideā€™s full bucket seat with a wide range of users, from road going to circuit driving and competition. Now, after an interval of 16 years, the ZETA IV is the new edition of Brideā€™s full bucket seats. The shell has been designed to fit the body shape and is a Bride flagship model designed for various scenes from street driving to hard sports driving. In addition, the shell material can be selected from two types: FRP silver shell and super aramid black shell. The color variants are gradation logo, black, or red.
Based on the Bride sheet manufacturing technology and the brandā€™s experience over the years, the ZETA IV edition seat has achieved super light weight and high rigidity by using high-performance materials for each part. This is a full bucket seat that is superior to conventional products in all aspects of safety, comfort, hold, and durability. The Bride ZETA series has evolved into a racing sport seat that can be used for the long run in a wide range of vehicle types and categories by installing the LOWMAX system which has been used in some seats, large belt holes, durable PVC leather, etc.

FIA approved and conformity to the safety standard
Made with flame-retardant fabric

Actually possible super dream car garage
2020 Yaris (1.5 Auto or Manual)
This car is my economy box. Small and fun. Has the connected feel but still a new car, all while being cheap. X-ice Snow tires in winter.Ā
2015 Mazda 3 (2.5 manual, Headers, Tune, Body kit, spoiler, caliper covers) I love the way this looks, and the aftermarket is solid. Awesome body kits. It will never be particularly fast but can reach 0-60 in 6.9 with headers and tune. X-ice snow tires in winter.
If itā€™s FWD, it must be manual. AWD auto is acceptable.Ā
2019 Mazda 3 Turbo (Spoiler, HKS Legal Dual Exhaust, Intake, CrossClimate 2)
Upscale experience, the best AWD system you can get for winter. With the intake, it will be slightly louder to show off the turbo, but still quiet enough. Add HKS legal turbo to turn up the sound a bit more but still pretty low. Cross Climates will suffice for winter because of the AWD.Ā
2024 Mazda CX70 GT (Inline 6, fully loaded, Cross Climate 2)
Luxury experience with the new inline 6 engine.
Alternatives: CX-50 GT, CX-90 GT
2019 Mazda Miata (Manual, Xida coilovers with springs, 200TW RPF1)
Autocross competitor (C-Street). 300TW for street, 200TW dry tires, 200TW wet tires.
2013 Corolla
Itā€™s a corolla and Iā€™ll just keep running it as a cash cow.Ā
What i would do with my cars:
Modify them how I want. Do whatever the fuck I want with them.Ā
Price them completely automatically on the app because Iā€™m rich enough it doesnā€™t even matter. Set lowest price to like 30 and let it do its thing.Ā
No deliveries. Use Aubreyā€™s methods of getting them out to renters.Ā

2020 Mazda Miata First Look: More Stuff Packed Into the Same Excellent Small Sports Car
Moving into the new model year, the inimitableĀ Mazda MX-5 Miata is pretty much the same lovable, tossable sports car as before. So, what should Miata-watchers be on the lookout for in 2020? Mostly a few small upgrades, including new paint color options and more standard content on certain trims. Prices, as they tend to do year-over-year, have also increased throughout the lineup.
The base MX-5 Sport justifies its higher priceā€”$27,500 compared to $26,650 for 2019ā€”with more standard safety features, including blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, Smart City Brake Support (automated emergency braking), and lane departure warning. Previously, these features were available as part of an $850 package on Sport trims. Should you have an aversion to fun or an inability to drive stick, our preferred transmission choice in the Miata, the price for the automatic-transmission Sport has risen to $28,850.
Next in the lineup is the MX-5 Miata Club, which gets a few new amenities of its own, namely Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration. Once again, these models are marked by upgrades such as 17-inch dark-finish wheels and a nine-speaker Bose audio system. When paired with the included manual transmission, the Club also comes with a sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip differential, Bilstein dampers, and a front shock tower brace. Mazda has made those four upgrades standard equipment on the 2020 Miata Grand Touring trim, as well. Other new features on the range-topping Miata trim include a Gray-colored cloth soft top and a red Nappa leather interior option. Both the Club and Grand Touring are now available with a new Polymetal Gray external paint color.
Pricing for the Club models starts at $31,210 with the manual and $31,810 with the automatic, up from $30,510 and $31,110 from the previous model year. Youā€™ll see considerable price increases on Grand Touring models, too, which jump from last yearā€™s $31,700 and $32,775 to $32,590 with the manual and $33,115 with the automatic. Should you be considering the folding-hardtop RF models, Mazda also is asking for more of your money: The 2020 RF Club now costs $33,965, up from $33,265 in 2019. The 2020 Mazda Miata heads to dealerships in February.
2020 Mazda Miata Prices, By Trim:
2020 Miata Sport MT: $27,500 (AT:$28,850)
2020 Miata Club MT: $31,210 (AT: $31,810)
2020 Miata Grand Touring MT: $32,590 (AT:Ā $33,115)

Car Review: 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth 2019 Fiat 124 AbarthNick Tragianis / Driving OVERVIEW It might share its bones with the MX-5 Miata, but the 124 Abarth looks and feels like its own car PROSSnappy handling, slick transmission, charming old-school styling touches CONSTurbo engine runs out of breath quickly, interior is almost all Mazda, price climbs very quickly VALUE FOR MONEYGood, as long as you go easy on the options WHAT TO CHANGE?Make everything thats standard on the Miata, standard on the 124 HOW TO SPEC IT?With a Mazda badge... If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it has to be a duck, right? Not if that duck is the Fiat 124 Spider. Conceived as a compliment to a certain two-seat Japanese roadster, the 124 is textbook platform-sharing the good kind. Sure, it shares the basics with its sibling, but this car is more than just different badges and trim bits. The Fiat 124 Spider might not actually be a Fiat underneath, but it truly does have its own personality.Platform-sharing is nothing new, but its a delicate task that can be easily cocked-up and the end result seems like a phoned-in, copy-and-paste badge job. Take the Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86, for instance: Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the idea of walking into a Subaru (or Toyota) dealer today and driving out with a brand-new, lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe tomorrow or longer; it takes a few days to sort the paperwork and licence plates, after all but unless you squint really hard,

Why Muscle Cars Are Better Than Sports Cars
By David Ashton
In the heady world of sporty vehicles, the muscle car may seem like a specialized proposition, but it doesnā€™t have to be. All the old caveats thrown towards muscle cars are gone with the modern versions, presenting a viable alternative to the rest of the sports car market.
In this regard, we will go over the aspects that make modern muscle cars appealing and why they should be a legitimate alternative to the rest of the sports cars out there.
Engine Power Thatā€™s what itā€™s all about, right? Stuffing a large displacement engine into a regular sized, two-door car, with plenty of performance parts. Todayā€™s muscle/pony cars like the Challenger, Charger, Camaro and Mustang, prefer 5 Liter+ engines, ideally with an atmosphere sucking supercharger to ramp up the power. The current top of the tree is the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye, a 6.2L Supercharged High-Output HEMI V8 engine producing 797 horsepower. They have the power and sound incredible.
Looks Thereā€™s no denying that the late 60ā€™s Ford Mustangs, Cudas and the like are fine looking beasts. However, we are talking more about modern muscle cars and the likes of the 2020 Mustang which is selling like hot potatoes in Europe. A welcome alternative design to the rest of the market.
We have to use the wording, but the modern Mustang, Charger, Challenger and Camaro, just look more muscular than the rest of the sports car market. The lines may not be as arguably sleek or refined as a German counterpart, but rather a more edgy look, billowing out side panel as if to strain to maintain the power within. This may equate to a heavier car, but thereā€™s also more ground clearance and generally more daily practicality.
Larger interior Yes, thatā€™s right, the muscle car sticks to its principles of still being a viable daily driver. It may be a two door like a sports car, but it still has room in the back and enough trunk space to venture on a long road trip. A little two seater sports car maybe zippy and fun, but you cannot always take a few of your friends along for the same thrill.
Round The Track and Acceleration The modern muscle car is still like its grandfathers in principle, compared to other sports cars. Far faster in a straight line, but due to the meatier bulk, not as quick round a track. Most sports cars are simply lighter weight and thus less mass to move, which is ideal for a track day outing, but we are talking about living with a vehicle on a daily basis. Track days are usually a sporadic affair, with the bulk of the driving being done when you want to stretch your legs on a straight or out in the country.
Fast acceleration times are usually what gives us the most thrill when driving and this is where the muscle car comes into its own. That being said, the Mustang and the Camaro are still good options if blasting round a track is your thing.
Pricing Okay, you can pick up a 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata for $25,730, which is a splendid little sports car, but if you compare the top notch punch of the Dodge Demon and Redeye compared to a supercar, then its value for money.
A 2019 Dodge Challenger Redeye has a starting price of $69,650, which works out at more like $71,350 delivered to your door. Thatā€™s 797 horsepower, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time in 10.8 seconds at 131 mph. Maybe not having the supercar refinements, but for dollars per horsepower very good value.
Which brings us to our rather one-sided, blinkered conclusion. Seriously though, modern muscle and pony cars are a raw and fun alternative to the current crop of sports cars. Something a bit different, good all-rounders and no matter the caveats, the takeaway is always great, raw driving fun that will always put a smile on your face. And this inherently is what driving should be all about.

Girl of the Week: September 16th-22nd 2019 - Lauren & Subaru BRZ
Tumblr media
Subaru is known for its rugged, all-wheel-drive cars, designed to last and not for flash. This normally practical exterior was completely shattered in 2012 with the introduction of the Subaru BRZ (Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Z standing for the zenith). With a sexy silhouette that is anything but typical for the Japanese company, the BRZ has helped the brand change its perception across the globe. Since the BRZ was first introduced, critics everywhere fell in love. The sleekly designed Subaru bucks many of the brandā€™s traditions, while establishing itself as a performance model with a terrific value. This mixture of a practical price but sexy exterior has made the BRZ a popular choice in the sports car segment and even persuaded American stunning bike model and umbrella girl Lauren to get off the bikes for once and get in this fabolous car for her first 4 wheels photoshoot. After all, the comfortable ride, capable handling, and impressive, roomy interior makes Subaru BRZ the best choice for everyone ... even in high heels! When it was introduced in 2013, the Subaru BRZ was like a cool, refreshing drink of water in an arid wasteland. At the time, there were few sporting vehicles that weighed less than 3,000 pounds and drove their rear wheels. The BRZ's compact size, sharp dynamics and low price of entry were a revelation. Being the result of collaboration between Subaru and Toyota to make a fun-to-drive and inexpensive sports car Subaru BRZ is the other half of the now iconic joint venture that resulted in Toyota launching the widely popular GT86. Like its GT86 sister, the front-engined, rear-wheel drive 2+2 BRZ is powered by a 197bhp 2.0-litre flat four. Itā€™s an engine that needs working hard if you want to make swift progress, but the BRZ is more about handling than straight-line speed. With its classical layout, itā€™s tremendously engaging to drive on twisty roads, and a rewarding machine on track. Handling is a big part of what the BRZ is about. The rear-wheel drive configuration is music to driving puristsā€™ ears, while the low centre of gravity means this is a car that simply loves corners. The steering is excellent, the driving position is brilliant, and the clever electronic stability and traction control systems ensure you can have fun with fewer associated risks. All of this means you can expect a much purer and uncorrupted driving experience compared with a front-wheel drive hot hatchback. Unlike many modern performance cars the Subaru BRZ uses a naturally aspirated engine. That means the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit makes just 200hp, while rival turbocharged cars extract nearly 50% more power from the same-sized motor. The advantage, however, is a more linear spread of power over a wider rev range ā€“ you need to reach 7,000 rpm for peak punch ā€“ rather than the laggy bottom and breathless top end associated with a turbo engine. Consequently the BRZā€™s power is very predictable and easy to manage; the throttle response is sharp so when you want a quick burst of power, the Subaru delivers immediately. Weā€™d have liked a more exciting engine note though. As a result, while the BRZā€™s motor is a very effective tool itā€™s not something youā€™ll enjoy on an emotional level. Although a sports car, the BRZ isnā€™t what youā€™d call uncomfortable. Its sports seats are very supportive without being hard, and long journeys pose no real problem. The ride is cossetting thanks to 17-inch wheels with relatively fat tyres, so thereā€™s not much of the choppiness associated with other focused sports cars. We could all learn something from the 2019 Subaru BRZ. The low-slung coupe starts with the right proportions and doesnā€™t add bloat or unnecessary weight. Itā€™s better than average inside and out by our eyes. The BRZ isnā€™t coy about stealing inspiration from sports cars of the past. It adds modern touches like LED lights and sharp sculpting that cars from yesteryear couldnā€™t, but the Subie keeps the same elegant roofline and flared fenders like a greatest hits compilation. The inside is simple and smart, without much clutter. Its design is a subtle hat-tip to industrial designā€”nuts and bolts on the climate controls and simple switchgear underneath. The touchscreen planted in the center of the dash is welcome, without being too much of a distraction. The BRZ is hardly a straight-line champ. It saunters up to 60 mph more slowly than nearly all of its rivals, but thatā€™s missing the point anyhow. The flat cylinder arrangement in the BRZ gives it a low center of mass that keeps the coupe uncommonly level around corners. Quick steering doubles up on the immediacy around the bends; the BRZ is a blast when the roads just canā€™t stay straight. We like that. Coils over struts in the front and a double wishbone in back prioritize weight over the front wheels. Nail the throttle and the BRZā€™s weight gingerly slides toward the rear, where its tail can step out in predictableā€”but not very powerfulā€”slides over and over, again. A Torsen limited-slip differential helps the BRZ mind its manners, even when we donā€™t. Comfort takes a backseat to performance in the 2019 Subaru BRZ. Thatā€™s assuming anyone can get back there, too. The front seats are exactly what youā€™d want in a low-slung sports car. Points there. But we ding the BRZ for rear seats that arenā€™t just vestigial, theyā€™re also practically painted on. A scant 6.9 cubic feet of trunk space isnā€™t ideal eitherā€”we suggest doubling up and using the back seat as an extension of the cargo capacity. Bad knees and bad backs may not appreciate the seating position and low entry of the 2019 BRZ, but we suspect achy joints turned their backs on the sports coupe long before now. Miles for smiles, the investment in premium fuel for the 2019 Subaru BRZ is worth the money. Among small coupes, the BRZ is mid pack. The Mazda MX-5 Miata rates at 29 mpg combined, but turbo-4 versions of the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang do worse. If the BRZ looks like a small, boring two-seater commuter car to you, there are more efficient options out there. It takes a lot to consider the BRZ to be boring, however, especially if Lauren shows up driving this beauty. #cargirl #fastcars #cargirls #carporn #RidinGirlsBlog #drivergirl #femaleriders #sexycar #toyota #subarubrz #BRZ #luxurycars #carchick #suvlady #suv #speed #roadracing #ridingsexy #carracing #truckgirl #sportcar #girlswhoride #richgirls #mercedesclass #riderich #subarugirl #subarubrzpremium #brzpremium #toyotagt86 #scion #frs #subarugirls #coupe #sportcar

The 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club is a fun and engaging convertible to drive and comes at a reasonable starting price of $29,590. The Mazda MX-5 Miata Convertible Roadster was completely redesigned in 2016, and this current, fourth generation is quicker and lighter than the old one.
