The End of a Legacy: Why the FIATA Failed.
Tumblr media
The Fiat 124 Spider also known as the FIATA (because it shares its underpinnings with the Mazda Miata) officially stopped production. Yes, I know, I hate to break it to you but there is now one less sports car on the market with a manual transmission. A car that once existed for twenty years from 1966 to 1985, failed to last more than four years this time around. The Fiat Spider shared its class with the Alfa Romeo Spider (pictured above) which lasted from 1966 to 1994. So why did the 124 Spider with such strong pedigree fail to continue the legacy of its Italian ancestors ? The fact of the matter is, the 124 Spider never had a fighting chance.
The Alfa Romeo and Fiat 124 Spider debuted in the mid 60’s with innovative design and technology. Both were rear wheel drive roadsters designed by Italian carrozzeria Pininfarina. They were ahead of their time with standard Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) engines. The combination of performance and styling made the Spiders standout as an affordable alternative to gas guzzling American muscle cars. The production run lasted so long because improvements were made with every generation. The engine size continued to grow resulting in more power while remaining efficient. By the mid 80’s, Fiat decided to discontinue the Spider. Shortly after purchasing Alfa Romeo, Fiat began to focus solely on its roadster from their newly acquired company. Once the 90’s hit, Alfa Romeo redesigned the Spider’s body for the fourth time in its twenty-eight years of existence. While the new and improved 4th generation design helped with sales of the Spider, it was no match for the new kid on the block. The (NA) Mazda MX-5, aka the Miata. The Japanese roadster was more efficient, reliable and cheaper than the Alfa Romeo. Sales began to slow down for the Spider and eventually Alfa Romeo stopped production in the U.S after 1994.
Tumblr media
Fast forward twenty-two years and Fiat introduces an all new 124 Spider at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto show. Looking to capitalize on the Spider’s previous success, Fiat completely reinvented the vehicle. It was originally planned to be an Alfa Romeo, but because Alfa is Fiat’s luxury brand they decided to brand the affordable Spider as a Fiat. It shared the same assembly line in Japan with the car that drove it out of business two decades earlier. The only key differences between the 124 Spider and the Mazda Miata was it’s styling, suspension and engine. The FIATA had a 1.4 liter turbo motor rated at 160 Horsepower and the Miata a naturally aspirated 2.0 rated at 155 HP. After three years of production, the Miata improved its engine in 2019 by increasing performance to produce 181 HP. The FIATA on the other hand was always equipped with its laggy, turbo 1.4 liter engine. A motor that may meet efficiency standards in Italy but doesn’t provide the thrill you expect from a rear wheel drive, two seater roadster. The 124 Spider Abarth is just as underwhelming. The Abarth featured in this article comes with some badging differences, a quad exhaust and four more horsepower. The Fiat 500 Abarth was a real difference compared to the standard 500. The exhaust note sounded like it came out of a Ferrari. On the 124 Abarth it sounds decent, but not nearly as tuned as the 500.
Tumblr media
The FIATA had remained the same for all four years, while the more reliable Miata improved. The Mazda has once again terminated its roadster rival. But it didn’t do it by just creating a better performing engine during its shared production run. The Miata brand remains champion of the roadsters because of its history. The Miata’s production run is now going on thirty plus years, surpassing that of the Spider. It’s forever been known for being the only reliable and affordable sports car on the market. It has evolved in this space and has remained relevant due to its positive consumer reports. Fiat on the other hand has had terrible consumer reviews since it returned to the U.S in 2011. The brand had already been tarnished prior to the resurrection of the 124. I mean if people recognize your brand with an acronym like; Fix It Again Tony, you’re going to have a tough time selling cars. More and more people going through a mid life crisis are choosing sporty SUV’s and electric vehicles over sports cars. So how could the FIATA have stayed relevant in a space that’s been dominated by one car for the last thirty years? Well, it would have had to evolve, which Fiat just simply failed to do. It should have looked back on its past and modeled its Pininfarina designed predecessors. It could have achieved this by evolving with the times, adopting new technologies and competing with modern standards. Do you think Amazon got to where they are by selling books the entire time? Or would Netflix still be around if they continued to just deliver DVD’s to your home? The twin cam, fuel injected engine found in the previous Spiders was revolutionary back in the day. The Spider was a pioneer in the car industry, with mechanical innovations still used til this day. This most recent Spider was never anything special. It just proved to us that Fiat’s days are numbered in the United States. With just the 500L and 500X left in production. Fiat is hanging on to a small thread with what’s left of its so called Small SUV lineup.
Tumblr media
In retrospect, maybe it’s time for the Spider to become an Alfa Romeo after all. Maybe it was meant to be a luxury roadster, appealing to buyers looking for an upgrade to the Miata. What if Alfa Romeo designed an all electric Spider with a 0-60 time that can compete with Tesla’s 1.9 second Roadster? A sleek, modern electric roadster designed by a famous Italian coach builder. It makes perfect sense since Alfa Romeo already plans to bring its first hybrid/electric vehicle to production with the Tonale next year. These are ways you can remain relevant, especially in a market where certain brands already hold a strong footprint. How do you grab some of that market share? Well, you learn from history and you innovovate. Automakers are adapting to changing times, pivoting to hybrid and electric powered motors. This is clearly the future as emission restrictions continue to be implemented across the globe. But how do you standout in a competitive and saturated market? You build upon your brand’s strengths. For example, take a look at the vehicle featured above. It’s a concept car, nothing officially released from Alfa Romeo. However the car embodies everything that Alfa Romeo represents. It pays homage to the GTV, one of the best homologated cars Alfa Romeo has ever built. This concept vehicle induces emotion by paying respect to Alfa Romeo’s racing days, while remaining contemporary for today’s roads.
Tumblr media
Look at the all new Ford Bronco, a modern rendition of its 60’s predecessor. People are beyond excited for the Bronco’s release because everyone agrees that Ford got it right. It’s fully capable off road and its styling is reminiscent of a time when everyone wished they had a Bronco in their driveway. Automakers need to stop designing with cookie cutters and begin creating vehicles that evokes the passion in the driver. Hopefully Fiat or Alfa Romeo catches on and can restore the Spider for a third time. And just maybe this time it will be more charming.

Car & Driver 2019 10Best "Inadequacies:" Quick blurbs on the cars that didn't make the 10Best list this year via /r/cars
Car & Driver 2019 10Best "Inadequacies:" Quick blurbs on the cars that didn't make the 10Best list this year
In the print edition of Car & Driver, January, 2019, they dove into the year's 10Best cars list. They also had a small section in the margins of the 10Best feature called "Inadequacies." In this section, they gave a quote for each car that was up for 10Best contention, but didn't make it, briefly summarizing its shortcomings. Lots of interesting insight, if you ask me! Remember that Car & Driver has a full set of tests they run to select their 10Best cars, many of them on a track, so it's not just a group of editors sitting in a room and picking which ones they like best. So, here they are:
Audi A6: "Way more luxury than sport here."
Audi A7: "It's like Audi tried to make a Tesla Model S out of a gas-powered car. Needs more sound and fury. But I guess that's what the S7 is for."
Audi RS5: "The RS5 used to have a howling V-8 and gobs of personality. This one feels sedate in comparison."
BMW i3s: "Even in its marginally sportier guise, the BMW i3 continues to be as far as you can get from the experience of driving a car while still driving a car."
BMW 640i xDrive GT: "Drives like a hockey arena."
Buick Regal GS: "The name vastly oversells its performance."
Buick Regal TourX: "Less than the sum of its parts, attractive though they are."
Honda Clarity PHEV: "As far as the effort to remove all sensory traces of dynamic motivational activity under the hood goes, this thing is a champ. The ultimate anodyne driving experience."
Honda Insight: "What to buy when you really want a Prius but can't bear to look at one."
Hyundai Accent: "There's an awful lot of competence here for the money. Not necessarily much joy but an awful lot of competence."
Hyundai Veloster: "The N splits the difference between a VW GTI and a Civic Type R without being better than either. And like all Velosters, this one is still burdened by its economy-car ethos and weird design."
Jaguar XF Sportbrake: "It's handsome as all get-out, but the interior isn't as nice as it should be, the powertrain is not as refined as it should be, and the chassis isn't as fun as it should be."
Kia Forte: "Manages the strange trick of looking cheaper than it actually is."
Lexus ES/Hybrid: "Was the dashboard designed to win a bet? It is more terraformed than styled, with various vintages of switchgear and instruments."
Lexus LS: "I'm startled by how removed from the driving experience this car has become. Like changing lanes from your bed."
Mazda 6 2.5T: "Very refined but doesn't feel sharp. This has me worried that Mazda is starting to walk away from sportiness in favor of luxury."
Mercedes-Benz C-Class: "Much improved but still not as satisfying as the E-class."
Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class: "No longer better looking or handier than the E-class, so I fail to see the point."
Nissan Altima: "Rental-car desk agents should see a dramatic decrease in arguments with disgruntled customers."
Nissan Leaf: "A car that is crying out for automation to remove the irksome requirement to operate it."
Porsche Panamera: "Breaks Porsche's rule of functional design. Who thought that air vents that can have their direction changed only through a touchscreen was a good idea?"
Subaru WRX STI Type RA: "A relic from Subaru's Brutalist period, it's the antithesis of what 96 percent of its customer base values: It's loud, harsh, and busy. It's also incredibly fun, especially on gravel."
Toyota Avalon/Hybrid: "It exists for cruising the mega-slab, but there are no interstates on the 10Best loop."
Toyota Corolla Hatchback: "Good enough to make the 10Best list -- in 2008."
Volkswagen Jetta: "If the Golf is the sibling that lives in the suburbs, pulling down good scratch and maxing out its 401(k), the Jetta is the poor relation sheltering under a cardboard box at the bus station."
To clarify, there were a couple other vehicles that didn't make the list, but were close enough that their acknowledgements were less... mean. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio was well-loved by nearly everyone, but had so many issues that needed to be serviced when they had one long term, it was basically out of the running. The Tesla Model 3 Performance did very well too, but since it starts at nearly $80k, it was very hard to justify its value vs competitors. The Audi RS3 was on the 10Best list last year, but this year there was no way they were picking it over the M2 Competition, which has better performance and an improved ride vs its non-Competition predecessor, leaving C&D to look at the RS3 less as a threat and more as "a really expensive, really powerful VW Golf with a really small trunk." Harsh words. The Kia Stinger GT almost made the list last year, and the Kia Stinger 2.0T almost made it this year, but the Genesis G70 better captured the hearts of the C&D editors. The Camaro was bumped from the list by the newly-refreshed Mustang, not necessarily because the Mustang is the clear winner, but because Chevy's 2019 "refresh" of the Camaro gave each trim a new grille and not much else, preserving issues with livability in the cabin in the name of exterior design. And finally, Dodge brought some Challengers to the 10Best competition, for the third time in five years, but all they've done each time was add more power to a car that hasn't been fully redesigned in about 10 years.
Finally, here's a reminder of the 10 cars that did win this year:
BMW M2 Competition
Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport/Z06
Ford Mustang GT/Bullitt
Genesis G70
Honda Accord
Honda Civic Sport/Si/Type R
Mazda MX-5 Miata/RF
Mercedes-Benz E450/AMG E53
Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman
Volkswagen Golf Family

Car Review: 2019 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth 2019 Fiat 124 AbarthNick Tragianis / Driving OVERVIEW It might share its bones with the MX-5 Miata, but the 124 Abarth looks and feels like its own car PROSSnappy handling, slick transmission, charming old-school styling touches CONSTurbo engine runs out of breath quickly, interior is almost all Mazda, price climbs very quickly VALUE FOR MONEYGood, as long as you go easy on the options WHAT TO CHANGE?Make everything thats standard on the Miata, standard on the 124 HOW TO SPEC IT?With a Mazda badge... If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it has to be a duck, right? Not if that duck is the Fiat 124 Spider. Conceived as a compliment to a certain two-seat Japanese roadster, the 124 is textbook platform-sharing the good kind. Sure, it shares the basics with its sibling, but this car is more than just different badges and trim bits. The Fiat 124 Spider might not actually be a Fiat underneath, but it truly does have its own personality.Platform-sharing is nothing new, but its a delicate task that can be easily cocked-up and the end result seems like a phoned-in, copy-and-paste badge job. Take the Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86, for instance: Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the idea of walking into a Subaru (or Toyota) dealer today and driving out with a brand-new, lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe tomorrow or longer; it takes a few days to sort the paperwork and licence plates, after all but unless you squint really hard,

Girl of the Week: September 16th-22nd 2019 - Lauren & Subaru BRZ
Tumblr media
Subaru is known for its rugged, all-wheel-drive cars, designed to last and not for flash. This normally practical exterior was completely shattered in 2012 with the introduction of the Subaru BRZ (Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Z standing for the zenith). With a sexy silhouette that is anything but typical for the Japanese company, the BRZ has helped the brand change its perception across the globe. Since the BRZ was first introduced, critics everywhere fell in love. The sleekly designed Subaru bucks many of the brand’s traditions, while establishing itself as a performance model with a terrific value. This mixture of a practical price but sexy exterior has made the BRZ a popular choice in the sports car segment and even persuaded American stunning bike model and umbrella girl Lauren to get off the bikes for once and get in this fabolous car for her first 4 wheels photoshoot. After all, the comfortable ride, capable handling, and impressive, roomy interior makes Subaru BRZ the best choice for everyone ... even in high heels! When it was introduced in 2013, the Subaru BRZ was like a cool, refreshing drink of water in an arid wasteland. At the time, there were few sporting vehicles that weighed less than 3,000 pounds and drove their rear wheels. The BRZ's compact size, sharp dynamics and low price of entry were a revelation. Being the result of collaboration between Subaru and Toyota to make a fun-to-drive and inexpensive sports car Subaru BRZ is the other half of the now iconic joint venture that resulted in Toyota launching the widely popular GT86. Like its GT86 sister, the front-engined, rear-wheel drive 2+2 BRZ is powered by a 197bhp 2.0-litre flat four. It’s an engine that needs working hard if you want to make swift progress, but the BRZ is more about handling than straight-line speed. With its classical layout, it’s tremendously engaging to drive on twisty roads, and a rewarding machine on track. Handling is a big part of what the BRZ is about. The rear-wheel drive configuration is music to driving purists’ ears, while the low centre of gravity means this is a car that simply loves corners. The steering is excellent, the driving position is brilliant, and the clever electronic stability and traction control systems ensure you can have fun with fewer associated risks. All of this means you can expect a much purer and uncorrupted driving experience compared with a front-wheel drive hot hatchback. Unlike many modern performance cars the Subaru BRZ uses a naturally aspirated engine. That means the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit makes just 200hp, while rival turbocharged cars extract nearly 50% more power from the same-sized motor. The advantage, however, is a more linear spread of power over a wider rev range – you need to reach 7,000 rpm for peak punch – rather than the laggy bottom and breathless top end associated with a turbo engine. Consequently the BRZ’s power is very predictable and easy to manage; the throttle response is sharp so when you want a quick burst of power, the Subaru delivers immediately. We’d have liked a more exciting engine note though. As a result, while the BRZ’s motor is a very effective tool it’s not something you’ll enjoy on an emotional level. Although a sports car, the BRZ isn’t what you’d call uncomfortable. Its sports seats are very supportive without being hard, and long journeys pose no real problem. The ride is cossetting thanks to 17-inch wheels with relatively fat tyres, so there’s not much of the choppiness associated with other focused sports cars. We could all learn something from the 2019 Subaru BRZ. The low-slung coupe starts with the right proportions and doesn’t add bloat or unnecessary weight. It’s better than average inside and out by our eyes. The BRZ isn’t coy about stealing inspiration from sports cars of the past. It adds modern touches like LED lights and sharp sculpting that cars from yesteryear couldn’t, but the Subie keeps the same elegant roofline and flared fenders like a greatest hits compilation. The inside is simple and smart, without much clutter. Its design is a subtle hat-tip to industrial design—nuts and bolts on the climate controls and simple switchgear underneath. The touchscreen planted in the center of the dash is welcome, without being too much of a distraction. The BRZ is hardly a straight-line champ. It saunters up to 60 mph more slowly than nearly all of its rivals, but that’s missing the point anyhow. The flat cylinder arrangement in the BRZ gives it a low center of mass that keeps the coupe uncommonly level around corners. Quick steering doubles up on the immediacy around the bends; the BRZ is a blast when the roads just can’t stay straight. We like that. Coils over struts in the front and a double wishbone in back prioritize weight over the front wheels. Nail the throttle and the BRZ’s weight gingerly slides toward the rear, where its tail can step out in predictable—but not very powerful—slides over and over, again. A Torsen limited-slip differential helps the BRZ mind its manners, even when we don’t. Comfort takes a backseat to performance in the 2019 Subaru BRZ. That’s assuming anyone can get back there, too. The front seats are exactly what you’d want in a low-slung sports car. Points there. But we ding the BRZ for rear seats that aren’t just vestigial, they’re also practically painted on. A scant 6.9 cubic feet of trunk space isn’t ideal either—we suggest doubling up and using the back seat as an extension of the cargo capacity. Bad knees and bad backs may not appreciate the seating position and low entry of the 2019 BRZ, but we suspect achy joints turned their backs on the sports coupe long before now. Miles for smiles, the investment in premium fuel for the 2019 Subaru BRZ is worth the money. Among small coupes, the BRZ is mid pack. The Mazda MX-5 Miata rates at 29 mpg combined, but turbo-4 versions of the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang do worse. If the BRZ looks like a small, boring two-seater commuter car to you, there are more efficient options out there. It takes a lot to consider the BRZ to be boring, however, especially if Lauren shows up driving this beauty. #cargirl #fastcars #cargirls #carporn #RidinGirlsBlog #drivergirl #femaleriders #sexycar #toyota #subarubrz #BRZ #luxurycars #carchick #suvlady #suv #speed #roadracing #ridingsexy #carracing #truckgirl #sportcar #girlswhoride #richgirls #mercedesclass #riderich #subarugirl #subarubrzpremium #brzpremium #toyotagt86 #scion #frs #subarugirls #coupe #sportcar

These Mutant Vehicles Will Soon Invade 2019 Burning Man
If you happen to be in the Reno area this week, you might see some strange-looking vehicles, some running under their own power, but most riding on trailers. It’s that time of the year when the crazy Mutant Vehicles (or “MVs”) begin arriving for Burning Man.
We got a chance to get a sneak peek at several MVs being built or modified for the 2019 Burning Man. They ranged from well-known MVs undergoing minor changes, such as Henry Chang’s famed, giant stainless steel, tubular-framed, rolling art masterpieces, to brand-new creations based on anything from motor homes to electric golf carts—or built entirely from scratch.
For the past few months, hundreds of “burners” have been working their butts off as they finish creating MVs that will trek to northern Nevada’s infamous Black Rock Desert for the 34th annual extravagance (don’t call it a festival) that runs August 25 through September 2.
Mutant Vehicles have become an increasingly popular way for people to create some amazing pieces of rolling art (check out last year’s highlights here). Because of the growing number of MVs, Burning Man has created a Department of Mutant Vehicles (DMV). And like any bureaucracy flexing its muscles, it has become much stricter in what it approves, despite the laissez-faire attitude of the event.
The fundamental rule is that no part of the donor vehicle (aside from the lower edge of the tires) should be visible. Oh, and the nighttime light displays need to be awesome.
Once an MV is ready for Black Rock City on the Playa, it’s difficult to see what’s underneath its clothing. The reverse proved true when we saw more than a dozen MVs in partially built form—it’s often difficult to envision what they will look like when completed. For that we need to wait another week to see them in their glory.
Here, then, is a brief look at some semi-naked MVs out of their natural habitat.
David Shields, who constructs props for the movie industry, has been building MVs for several years, both for himself and for other participants. His major build this year was fabricated from scratch on a Crown Victoria chassis. Originally, he planned to bondo the hand-fabricated steel bodywork and paint it. But once he had welded all the parts together, he felt it would look better left alone and covered in a clear coat. Last year’s Wet Pussy bathtub (hey now, family website…), which was built on an electric golf cart chassis, has been modified this year.
Las Vegas–based Henry Chang, a talented industrial art designer, brings his three MVs each year. These intricately built Mutant Vehicles might not carry many passengers, but they draw crowds. This year he has altered the rear axles and suspension on his Flux Capacitor.
Bill Real, who with his father, has an interesting fabrication shop in Pasadena, California, is another burner who creates MVs for himself and for friends. Additionally, he rents out space for other MV builders and artists who might not have their own space. This year he’s adding wings to his cute electric-powered Bumble Bee. At the same time we visited, his friend Benny Parkes was busy welding a frame on his electric golf-cart-based MV.
Yes, you can even make an art car out of a wrecked Mercedes-Benz E 300. Kevin Marion, who lives in Santa Barbara, turned his into an MV last year. He managed to get it approved but was told he’d need to substantially improve it before appearing this year. He and friends have created a new MV that has soft foam covers with platforms for passengers and a “brain” that will be mounted high above the vehicle. Unlike most MVs we’ve seen, he chose to use wood for framing since nobody on the team has welding skills.
When we first saw Chris Germano’s impressive high-tech electric MV in the L.A. area, we immediately noted what looked like a braking system from a regular car. Yes… that’s the front suspension, steering, and brake system from a Mazda Miata. The rear axle, suspension, and diff were also taken off an old Miata. He then built an aluminum frame using preformed aluminum extrusions bolted together—no welding. It’s a skill he hasn’t yet mastered, and since his garage is in a high-density townhouse community, it probably would be frowned upon anyway. He used a 3-D printer to make custom packs for the 760 battery cells that power the 3-kW electric motor and the 12,000-plus LED lights. The 3-D printer also created plastic semi-transparent bodywork.
“Pyrobar” is a regular on the Playa, built on a 1956 Ford C600 truck chassis that has evolved and changed over the years and is now powered by a ’73 Ford 460 big block. The current owner, Mark Goerner of Santa Barbara, is fortunate to live in a mixed-use part of the touristy town, so he’s able to park this giant MV in his yard without raising any eyebrows. It’s even visible in satellite view on Google Maps.
Believe it or not, David Cox is able to park Torch, his fire-breathing dragon MV, outside his home in Costa Mesa, California. Luckily, he’s on a quiet suburban street and kids of all ages are more than happy to see this MV in their neighborhood. Last year the engine in the GMC Safari minivan seized. Only after some searching was he able to find a mechanic willing to swap the engine in the mutilated minivan.
Scott Miller is an IT professional who lives in Santa Maria, California. Despite having no experience with vehicles, he built this electric chassis from scratch, learning on the fly the welding and electrical skills for reliable running in the heat and incredible dust thrown up on the Playa. The major change under the “hood” on this year’s small remote-controlled 6WD vehicle is installation of battery packs from a wrecked Nissan Leaf in place of the old lead-acid batteries.
Stone Larkin normally spends his days creating metalwork art. But he goes big with his MV, which is built on an old diesel pusher motorhome. This year, “Savage Island” is being extensively modified with even larger dance platforms. We visited him in a remote area of the Mojave Desert in California, which just happens to also be the home of Ian Rousse, the host of Full Custom Garage. The build is being documented and will be shown on a future episode.
Many MV owners rely on financial help from fellow burners who join them in specific camps at Black Rock Desert. Some, such Maria Poliak from Toronto, go as far as organizing a show for locals in order to raise funds. She is heavily involved with several Canadian MVs currently convoying from Toronto.
Along with 70,000-plus Burning Man participants, we now wait in anticipation to see these particular MVs fully dressed, as well as many of the other 500-plus art cars and Mutant Vehicles that will traverse the Playa Black Rock Desert at no more than 5 mph.
We’ll bring you a collection of some of the best MVs of 2019 Burning Manin a photo feature sometime in mid-September.
Check out 2018 Burning Man highlights here

Most Liked Cars in 2019 in Dubai
Tumblr media
Custom cars are never a standard choice, after losing the opportunity to create a higher riding vehicle. Whatever it is, in whatever cases trucks, crosses and SUVs are used to express something surprising about their owners - that they are unreliable, have no fear, or have a dog - the vehicle is a phenomenal enlightenment about the person sitting in the driver's seat. Most will be in perfect condition in a mutt. In any case, based on driving a vehicle and you stand tall against a wave of unprecedented closeness, recommending a ton of change pays little attention to whether there should be an opportunity for a vehicle rental meeting.
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about Dubai Trip and Tour how to manage transport or Car Hire Dubai. Don’t worry just go to Rental Cars UAE and find out a suitable package. Rental Cars UAE provide all kind of Dubai Rent a car or cheap rent a car Dubai. Moreover, you can get a 30% discount on all packages. Furthermore, if you are looking for Three Days deal on Rent a car in Sharjah? No worries! Monthly Car Rental is here to assist you with the best packages that are the most suitable and Car Hire are available at very affordable rates on three days. 360 AED is the three days package. Do not miss to grab the chance to drive in Dubai.
The following are the most referenced and truly enjoyed vehicles in 2019.
1. Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Z06
The Corvette does not suffer traffic quickly, and that is basically Corvette pressure. Driving each of the large fields of mandatory speed and occupied Prius drivers requires terrible confinement. It was extraordinarily easy to get scratched by a bum on the left side when the Corvette started muttering toxic quality things like: "Basically skip them on the shoulder. Make important steps not to be a coward. Do it. I thought you could drive." Calm the dynamic exhaust and you can release the large detachment without lifting your finger. We put both of them in our quick review this year because they discussed the best nights of execution and costs in the Corvette universe.
2. Portage Mustang GT / Bullitt
For 2019, the Mustang GT once again made a rough line, trampling on the place given by the Camaro, the extraordinary undercarriage ignoring to support a terrible outer dream, basic leadership capacity, and was seen paying little to contract the 10Best test. Why now? Apart from the way that met all the needs for the previous 10Best reliably, the rebuilt for the -18 Mustang was not available in time for testing. GT350 is, for reasons of achievement 2017, regardless of ignoring respect; his indifference to change made him ineligible this year. We got a kick from the mainstay of a remastered medieval Mustang appearance and current execution.
3. Honda Accord / Hybrid

And apparently the brand is willing to play along.  “The preference of people who enjoy driving sports cars might be changing, so we need to think about what direction society is going,” Maeda told Autocar. “We want to look at the best powertrain to keep the vehicle lightweight, but because of the diversifying requirements and preference, we need to explore various options. “I don’t have the answer now but we need to make a vehicle that people can own without worrying that they are not being eco-friendly.”So, regardless of whether or how the little drop-top sports car is given the “e” prefix, Mazda promises to keep it true to its lightweight motoring roots, reiterating to Autocar that “The lightweighting and compact size are essential elements of MX-5, so even if we apply electrification, we have to make sure it really helps to achieve the lightweighting of the vehicle.”The latest Mazda Miata MX-5 got a healthy jolt of power, and any electrification is likely to do more of the same. We’re open to the idea, but

2019 Ford Fiesta ST: Why I’d Buy It – Erick Ayapana
“What car should I buy?” It’s a question consumers ask themselves every day, but what would associate road test editor Erick Ayapana drive? Keep reading for the answer, and see other editors’ picks here.
I’d like to stay within $30,000 for the car I’d buy today, so I was super stoked when I logged on to www.ford.com and found that it can be had for under $20,000 (after incentives, of course). That car would be the 2019 Ford Fiesta ST.
It has probably been years since I’ve driven one, but it still tops my list of affordable new cars. Even without incentives, the 2019 Fiesta ST costs under $23,000. The 2019 Mazda Miata is within my reach for a few grand more, but I’d want the Club version, which starts at $31,110. And have you tried stuffing two carry-on bags in the trunk of a Miata? For a single-car household, the Miata unfortunately won’t work.
Not so with the Fiesta ST. It may be tiny, but it’s much more practical than the Mazda thanks to four doors, a hatch, and seating for five (though four might be more realistic). The Volkswagen GTI with its fantastic plaid seats is also practical, but it’s more expensive and doesn’t quite have the Fiesta’s razor-sharp agility.
Yes, it’s front-wheel drive, but driving the Fiesta ST is just as thrilling and fun as the Miata. The excellent Honda Civic Type R might be the better track car, but the Ford is arguably more enjoyable to toss around town. Its shifter isn’t quite as precise as the Porsche 911 GT3 or Type R, but it’s satisfying nonetheless.
As is the 1.6-liter turbo-four that makes 197 hp and 202 lb-ft of torque. It’s an eager little engine that’s more than adequate for the small hatch. When we last tested the Fiesta ST way back in 2013, we recorded a 0-60 mph time of 6.4 seconds. That said, it feels quicker than that number suggests and there are a few easy aftermarket tricks to squeeze out more performance from the punchy turbo-four.
And what about fuel economy? A gallon of gas is nearly $4 in Los Angeles county, so the Fiesta ST’s EPA rating of 25/32 mpg city/highway is certainly attractive. That’s right on par with GTI (24/32 mpg) and slightly less than the Miata’s 26/34 mpg rating (all numbers with the six-speed manual).
The Fiesta ST hasn’t changed much since its debut in the States. The exterior is still handsome (to these eyes) and though my non-car friends will likely say the interior is basic, at least it has been updated with Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system, which has a decent interface and Apple CarPlay compatibility. We’ve reported that the next-gen Fiesta ST likely won’t make it here to the U.S., which makes my decision to own this little piece of hot hatch history even easier.
