Agora, temos o SUV de 7 lugares nas versões acima da de entrada. Nela, aliás, a carroceria é a mesma, apenas exclui-se o “equipamento de conforto” na traseira. Os bancos da terceira fileira são rebatíveis e se embutem no assoalho, deixando espaço para bagagens.

As acomodações, entretanto, são desconfortáveis – assim como na maioria dos outros veículos nesta lista. Assim, não se recomendam viagens longas com seis ou mais passageiros. Além disso, o Tiguan falha em oferecer segurança para os “amigos extra”, e os airbags de cortina só chegam até a segunda fileira de bancos.

A prática, inclusive, é comum em veículos do tipo. Ou seja, não deixe andar lá atrás quem você ama. Os preços são de R$ 153.990 na versão Comfortline e R$ 187.990 na topo de linha R-Line.

O funcionamento é basicamente o mesmo de todos os outros, mas há mais espaço vertical para as pernas, que não precisam ficar dobradas. Para dar esse rolé, paga-se de R$ 178.990 na versão S.153 a R$ 227.990 na S.276.

O sistema de bancos rebatíveis também aparece no Hyundai Santa Fe. O SUV da marca sul-coreana tem uma versão que se enquadra entre os carros de 7 lugares para cinco adultos com duas crianças no porta-malas. O espaço não é tão ruim quanto o de outros veículos que apareceram nesta lista, já que nele, pelo menos, as crianças têm espaço para acomodar as pernas, ao invés de terem que dobrá-las.

Adultos dificilmente caberiam na terceira fileira, fazendo do Santa Fe um veículo indicado para famílias enormes com quatro crianças ou mais. Em versão única no Brasil, o SUV tem preço sugerido de R$ 184.900. O motor a gasolina entrega 270 cv de potência, e a transmissão é automática de seis velocidades.

10. Peugeot 5008

Esses dois hóspedes também vão estar sujeitos ao sistema de bancos retráteis, como a maioria dos carros nesta lista. O motor é um 1.6 THP que entrega 165 cv de potência, aliado a uma transmissão automática de seis marchas.

A diferença é que os assentos se basculam para as laterais, o que permite o transporte de volumes mais altos.

Os preços das versões com a terceira fileira de assentos vão de R$ 191.240, na configuração intermediária SRV Flex, a R$ 279.990 na SRX Diamond a diesel. O motor a gasolina oferece 163 cv de potência, e o diesel, 177 cv. A transmissão é sempre automática de seis velocidades.

O assoalho do porta-malas fica plano quando os bancos são dobrados.

Na versão única, o SUV sai por R$ 193.190 com motor 3.6 a gasolina, e R$ 235.990 a diesel 2.8. O primeiro entrega 279 cv de potência, e o segundo, 200 cv. A transmissão é automática de seis velocidades nos dois casos.

No caso das grandalhonas Land Rover Discovery e Discovery Sport, os dois assentos extras são um opcional no exterior mas que, no Brasil, acabaram equipando todas as versões. A Discovery tem 4,97 metros de comprimento e 2,07 metros de largura, o que pode tornar um pouco menos apertado lá atrás.

Os bancos também são dobráveis, se encaixando no assoalho. Os preços do modelo Discovery vão desde R$ 415.400, para a versão SE; até R$ 499.900, para a HSE Luxury.O motor é sempre um 3.0 a diesel.

Já o Discovery Sport, embora também figure entre os carros de 7 lugares, é menor. Ele tem 4,59 m de comprimento e 2,06 m de largura. A opção mais compacta tem valores entre R$ 227.800 na configuração SE flex, até R$ 284.800, na versão top de linha HSE diesel.

O veículo tem 4,9 metros de comprimento e 1,87 m de largura. Assim como em SUVs com sistema semelhante, a ideia parece boa para uma carona rápida, só não parece muito confortável para viagens longas. Mesmo se considerarmos que a segunda fileira de bancos é regulável, podendo equilibrar o espaço para os pobres joelhos dos que vão no porta-malas.

Os preços são de R$ 239.990, na versão a gasolina com 250 cv; e R$ 258.990, na diesel, com 200 cv. Nos dois casos, a transmissão é automática de cinco marchas.

Contudo, o modelo mais novo está disponível no país em apenas uma versão. O motor a diesel tem 190 cv de potência, e a transmissão é automática de oito velocidades. No Pajero Sport, a terceira fileira de bancos tem o diferencial de ganhar saídas de ar-condicionado próprias.

16. Kia Grand Carnival

O Grand Carnival é oferecido em versão única no país, por R$ 289.990. O motor é um 3.3 V6 a gasolina de 24 válvulas. Ele entrega 270 cv de potência e 32,4 kgfm de torque. A transmissão é automática de seis marchas, com opção de trocas sequenciais.

A minivan também é uma das poucas opções nesta lista a oferecer airbags laterais para a terceira fila de bancos. Além disso, por ser muito mas comprida que os outros modelos nesta lista, oferece mais conforto para os passageiros do fundão.

17. Volvo XC90: o sueco entre os carros de 7 lugares

Segundo a marca, a terceira fileira de bancos oferece o mesmo conforto que todas as outras. Entretanto, é difícil imaginar que o espaço reduzido seja semelhante. Por outro lado, o utilitário esportivo é campeão em segurança, uma tradição da Volvo.

Os preços variam entre R$ 300 mil para a versão de entrada Momentum e R$ 510 mil para a topo de linha Excellence.

Suas dimensões são generosas – tanto que podem se transformar em um problema: são 5,05 metros de comprimento; 1,97 m de largura; 1,74 m de altura; e 2,99 m de distância entre-eixos.

If you’re looking for a standard vehicle, odds are you won’t find it with Volkswagen’s newest addition to the family. The 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan is anything but and with all of these additions packed into a compact crossover, this vehicle toes the line between compact and midsize. 

Getting lost in the features of a Volkswagen SUV 2020 is easy. With the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan, there’s no difference. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, do the research. 

To help you out, here’s a brief guide to the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan and what you can expect. 

Additions to 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan

In 2020, the Tiguan gained blind-spot monitoring, a standard emergency braking with pedestrian detection and rear cross-traffic detection. These features are staples when it comes to 2020 luxury vehicle safety. 

The Tiguan 2020 also comes with the brand’s version of VW’s Car-Net system, Wi-Fi compatibility, and wireless charging. There are also additions like R-Line Black trim on the SE version of the Tiguan SUV. This replaces the SEL R-Line Black trim equipped on the 2019 version. 

Bells and whistles like a heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers come with the SEL version. Of course, dozens of other options can be added on with the upgraded versions of the vehicle. 

Inside and Out

In a luxury vehicle, you want both the inside and outside to reflect the price tag. Starting at $24,945, the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan is affordable considering the combination of technology, interior, and exterior. 

The Tiguan third row is a feature that you won’t see with most vehicles. Luckily for a future owner, this comes standard on all front-wheel-drive models. You’ll experience reduced cargo space with the third row engaged, but without it, the Tiguan 2020’s storage space matches closest to a Toyota RAV4. 

From its streamlined LED highlights to sleek LED taillights, the Tiguan also features a moon roof. This is an appealing addition to the vehicle, making it feel less and less like a soccer mom’s daily driver. 

Body lines of the vehicle make the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan seem slimmer than it is without sacrificing extra space.

Under the Hood

Although it’s a compact crossover/SUV, the 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan features a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter in-line-four. This equates to 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. 

Surprising to most, the Tiguan has an eight-speed automotive transmission and is sold in either front-wheel or Volkswagen’s “4MOTION” all-wheel drive. 

As far as mpg goes, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has estimated the FWD at 22 mpg city, 29 highway and 25 combined. For the AWD version, those figures come in at 21 mpg city, 29 highway and 24 combined.
