Three Things to Know About the Volkswagen Tiguan
Did you know that the very first Volkswagen car was displayed at the Berlin Motor Show in 1939?
Since then, the company has gone on to become one of the most successful auto companies in the world, producing iconic vehicles such as the Volkswagen Beetle and the Volkswagen Transporter camper van.
Today’s models continue that tradition of style and performance and none more so than the Volkswagen Tiguan.
Read on as we take a look at three things you should know about this popular SUV.
1. It’s the Best-Selling Volkswagen Worldwide
Did you know that VW has two of the top five best-selling cars of all time in the Volkswagen Beetle and the Volkswagen Golf?
Today, their best-selling model worldwide is the Volkswagen Tiguan. It passed the six million unit mark in 2019 and in that same year a brand new Tiguan rolled off the production line every 35 seconds. Not only is it Volkswagen’s best-selling car, but it’s also one of the best-selling SUVs in the whole of Europe.
More than six million customers can’t be wrong!
2. It’s Packed With Features
A Volkswagen Tiguan offers a great drive and high levels of comfort, but it’s also packed with additional features.
There’s a 6.5-inch color touch-screen as standard. This features both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can connect via Bluetooth or two USB ports.
You also get heated front seats, a digital cockpit display, an electrically-operated tailgate, heat-insulating glass, an auto-dimming interior mirror, alloy wheels, auto headlights and wipers, and a six-speaker stereo across all models.
If you’re looking for some optional extras, then you should take a look at one of the higher-spec models.
There Are Four Great Models To Choose From
There are four models of the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan to suit every need.
The Tiguan S is the base model and includes all the features listed above. The Tiguan SE includes additional features such as remote start, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and leather upholstery for your Volkswagen Tiguan interior.
Next up is the SE R-Line Black which includes a panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, parking assist, and reverse automatic braking.
Top of the range is the SEL R-Line which is decked out with leather seats, power-adjustable seats for both driver and front passenger, a heated steering wheel, road sign recognition, a full surround-view parking camera system, and a nine-speaker stereo system.
Your only problem is deciding which model to choose!

A tambor batiente

2019 Volkswagen T-Roc Price, Specs, Changes
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc USA
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc Specs, Review – A difficult time has been predicted for Volkswagen after the emissions scandal. However, the German automaker is very creative and is determined to catch up with its fans. Since the crossover segment in the automotive industry is the most profitable today, the VW will bring many new models next season. The final piece of the puzzle is the 2019 VW T-Roc, which will join Atlas, Tiguan, and Touareg.
The dimensions of the 2019 VW T-Roc are not yet official, but we know that it will be the smallest SUV in the US lineup. UU And yes, the new crossover reaches the largest market. Anyway, the launch date is set for next year, as well as the start of sales. The price is, however, still unknown. The concept of 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc promises an attractive design, but we have to wait to see the final product for the market.
The 2019 VW T-Roc will be available in the United States. However, the company is not going to build the SUV in North America. First, they want to make sure there is an interest, and then the production could move across the ocean. On the contrary, we could also hear rumors about another name in the same place. However, there is no other information that can confirm that VW leaves T-Roc and launches the other crossover.
2019 VW T-Roc Design
Like many of his brothers, the 2019 VW T-Roc will use an MQB platform. Not only Volkswagen vehicles but also Audi models. One of them is the compact SUV Q2. However, the T-Roc will have a distinctive appearance and a different part. From what we saw in its concept, the crossover shows a two-door vehicle. It is hard to believe that you do not see a four-door arrangement. On the other hand, the representation leaves space for a possible version of Cabrio. The dimensions do not suffer so much, so we can talk about a 165-inch length of 2019 Volkswagen T-Roc. However, the wheelbase is still unknown, and many things will depend on it.
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc Interior
The 2019 VW T-Roc draws the attention of those who wish to move from the compact sedan to the SUV. Draw a muscular body that can be animated by a colored roof (four to choose from) and obviously a great distance to the ground, the panoply is out. But when you open the door, those who hope to make the most of the mirrors with the “Deutsche Qualität” will look sad. The hard and shiny materials are legion: disappointing for a VW, even if the T-Roc reaches a manufacturing and a serious deviation with its large screen in the center (touch) can be doubled (depending on the finish) of another screen, which then replaces the counters. On board, one quickly gets comfortable with an obvious ergonomics for the usual brand and a quality saddlery. A good point also for long seats that avoid “hurting the sticks” after a long trip to the front. As for the back, the place is largely sufficient for two adults (in the center, the back is too stiff).
2019 Volkswagen T-Roc Engine Performance
The 2019 VW T-Roc will be available in the United States and Europe. Buyers in North America will not see it as a diesel variant. European customers will find three different versions with engines that use this type of fuel. For the United States, there are at least three other gasoline units. Volkswagen will install a turbocharger in each of them. The standard transmission system includes a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. Optionally, there is a 7-speed automatic transmission and the AWD mode.
Safety
A driver can rely on advanced help systems. The frontal collision warning is now available at the base edge. In addition, the 2019 VW T-Roc will offer an emergency warning of braking and lane departure on the base SUV. Higher equipment levels will provide additional equipment, parking sensors, automatic lights and other accessories that will make driving more enjoyable and comfortable.
2019 VW T-Roc Price, and release date
The new 2019 VW T-Roc scheduled for introduction in early 2019 with prices of $ 28,000 – $ 32,000 in the US market.

15 of the Hottest New Car Deals This Presidents’ Day Weekend
The holiday season may be over, but there are still good deals out there if you’re looking for a new car. This Presidents’ Day Weekend, you can save thousands when buying certain vehicles from Infiniti, Volkswagen, and other automakers.
We gathered data from ALG, a subsidiary of TrueCar, to find the cars that offer the biggest savings. Looking at TrueCar’s TruePrice Average, which is based on what customers paid for similar vehicles in February 2019, we narrowed down to models that saw double-digit percentage drops from MSRP.
Read on to learn about some of the hottest car deals this weekend. Note that deals may vary by region.
2019 BMW 740i RWD
MSRP: $84,645 TruePrice Average: $72,836 Savings off MSRP: $11,809, 14.0%
BMW is refreshing its flagship sedan for 2020 with 15 extra horsepower, a larger grille, a redesigned digital instrument cluster, and other updates. Still, the pre-refresh model has a lot to offer as a comfortable cruiser, with high-tech features such as gesture controls. Getting 14 percent off MSRP isn’t a bad deal, although we can’t help but feel the S-Class is a more luxurious car overall.
2019 Infiniti Q70L 3.7 Luxe RWD
MSRP: $52,795 TruePrice Average: $45,718 Savings off MSRP: $7,077, 13.4%
The Infiniti Q70 is a luxury sedan alternative that may not have crossed your mind. But buyers can save up to 13.4 percent off the MSRP this weekend when opting for the long-wheelbase version in Luxe guise. On the standard-wheelbase version of this trim, TrueCar estimates savings of $6,112, or 11.9 percent off the MSRP.
2019 Acura TLX 2.4L FWD
MSRP: $33,995 TruePrice Average: $29,629 Savings: $4,366, 12.8%
It may look like a sedate sedan, but the Acura TLX is sportier than you think, particularly in A-Spec guise. It handles well on windy roads and produces a healthy 206 hp from its base four-cylinder engine. Standard features are plenty and include sport-oriented seats, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
2019 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition Auto
MSRP: $26,190 TruePrice Average: $22,904 Savings: $3,286, 12.5%
Volkswagen has fully redesigned the Passat for 2020. But deals can be had if you have your eye on the old model, which sits on the same platform as the new one anyway. The base 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine makes 174 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to hit 60 mph in 8.4 seconds in our tests. It’s a bit slower than a comparable Accord, but it has a spacious rear seat and trunk.
2019 Infiniti QX60 Pure FWD
MSRP: $44,995 TruePrice Average: $39,357 Savings: $5,639 , 12.5%
Infiniti’s midsize crossover offers a comfortable ride. For 2019, a number of safety features become standard on the base Pure trim. These include blind spot warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and forward collision warning. Under the hood is a hearty 3.5-liter V-6 good for 295 hp.
2019 Infiniti Q50 2.0t Pure RWD
MSRP: $36,545 TruePrice Average: $32,172 Savings: $4,373, 12.0%
Refreshed for 2018, the Q50 sedan is priced competitively in the small luxury sedan category. The base Pure model comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 208 hp.
2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio RWD
MSRP: $41,590 TruePrice Average: $36,640 Savings: $4,950, 11.9%
If you want the SUV with the most performance for your buck, the Stelvio is a good choice. You don’t have to get the 505-hp Quadrifoglio trim to have fun. The base model produces a healthy 280 hp from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. That’s enough to take the SUV to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, according to our tests. Along with scintillating acceleration, the Stelvio benefits from a controlled ride, effortless handling, and a smooth shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.
2019 Mitsubishi Mirage LE Hatchback CVT
MSRP: $16,790 TruePrice Average: $14,876 Savings: $1,914, 11.4% Additional customer cash: $500
It’s a tough market for minicars out there, but sales for the Mirage were up significantly last year compared to 2018. The car is a steal at this price, but you’ll have to be willing to put up with slow acceleration and a good deal of interior noise and vibration. Fuel economy is excellent at 36/43 mpg city/highway when paired with the CVT.
2019 Audi A4 Premium Plus FWD
MSRP: $38,395 TruePrice Average: $34,033 Savings: $4,362, 11.4%
This well-rounded sedan features a stable ride, smooth engines, and one of the nicest interiors in its class. Its virtual cockpit digital dash trumps the competition, featuring crisp Google Earth maps. This deal applies to the mid-trim Premium Plus model, which comes standard with full LED headlights, a 7.0-inch screen, Bang & Olufsen sound system with 19 speakers. Oh, and this sleeper sedan is surprisingly quick, hitting 60 mph in as little as 5 seconds.
2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia RWD
MSRP: $39,590 TruePrice Average: $35,174 Savings: $4,416, 11.2%
We love the Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan—so much so that we named it our 2018 Car of the Year—which is why the idea of getting one at the above price has us so excited. We say it’s the most fun-to-drive car in its class, with razor-sharp handling and an incredible chassis that smooths out bumps in the road. And it has proven to be a practical commuter thanks to its 21.7/37.9 mpg city/highway rating in our Real MPG tests.
2019 Mercedes-Benz C 300 Sedan RWD
MSRP: $42,395 TruePrice Average: $37,669 Savings: $4,726, 11.1%
Recently refreshed, the Mercedes-Benz C 300 now makes 255 hp from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Although tuned for luxury more than sport, with somewhat vague steering, the C 300 benefits from a quick throttle response off the line when you tune in to Sport+ mode. Fuel economy is another plus: Our Real MPG tests showed a result of 24.5/40.3 mpg city/highway.
2019 Mercedes E 300 Sedan RWD
MSRP: $54,495 TruePrice Average: $48,646 Savings: $5,849, 10.7%
The E-Class sedan can get quite expensive when you pack on the options, but buyers now have the chance to get more than 10 percent off MSRP. The deal featured here applies to the base model with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder sedan making 241 hp. Standard features are abundant, including dual-zone climate control, remote start, and an interior lighting feature that allows users to turn the cabin one of 64 colors.
2019 Volkswagen Tiguan S FWD
MSRP: $25,290 TruePrice Average: $22,659 Savings: $2,631, 10.4%
Volkswagen has brought prices down on the Tiguan over the past few years, and prices could be even more enticing this weekend. The model has grown in size since the previous generation, and if you can forgive its somewhat slow acceleration from 0-60 mph, you’ll enjoy the Tiguan for its more spacious interior an high-quality materials.
2019 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab Long Box 4WD
MSRP: $50,195 TruePrice Average: $44,977 Savings: $5,218, 10.4% Additional customer cash: $500
The mid-range LT trim level of the Chevrolet Silverado benefits from standard features including chrome exterior accents, LED headlamps, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Chevy’s full-size pickup was redesigned for 2019, and was a 2019 Truck of the Year finalist.
2019 Toyota Camry L Automatic
MSRP: $24,875 TruePrice Average: $22,331 Savings: $2,544, 10.20%
Once king of the automotive landscape, the Camry has been supplanted by the RAV4 as Toyota’s best-selling model in the U.S. Nevertheless, Toyota managed to sell 343,439 copies, proving the resilience of the popular sedan. The current generation has improved significantly from its predecessor when it comes to driving dynamics, but it faces stiff competition from the very capable new Honda Accord.

2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Four Seasons Wrap-Up
Despite all the wistful reminiscing about the demise of the Great American Station Wagon by enthusiasts too young to recall their mid-century heyday, truth be told most of those wagons weren’t really all that special. The average kids of the era were being shuttled about in ubiquitous land barges like the Ford Country Squire and Chrysler Town & Country. Few would have had any interaction with big block-powered rarities like the Mercury Colony Park or Chevrolet Kingswood Estate, let alone an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser with a stonking Rocket V-8, four-on-the-floor with a Hurst shifter jutting out from the floor in front of the bench seat, and its slick glass roof.
Imagine now for a moment how today’s sport/utility vehicles will be remembered some half-century hence. Ford Explorers and Jeep Grand Cherokees will be thought of as the Country Squires and T&Cs of the day, but thanks to the wealth of fire-breathing M and AMG-badged monsters, 707-horse Trackhawks and the like, the modern equivalent of the musclecar-era super wagon won’t be so rare. This leaves fun and engaging outliers like Mazda CX-5, which lines up well with the Vista Cruiser.
Yes, we know, their powertrains are wildly different, but stay with us here. The new CX-5 has been styled to help it stand out in a veritable sea of look-alike crossovers, much like the Olds wagon did. And it has decent road manners and ride quality, without trying to be a tall, five-seat MX-5 Miata, just as the Vista Cruiser wasn’t trying to be a family-size 4-4-2.
We actually had the past in mind when we chose to add a 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring to our Four Seasons fleet, though we weren’t thinking as much of classic wagons as we were of the 2013 CX-5 we also had in for a long-term evaluation. That first-gen CX-5 wowed us with how enjoyable it was to drive for a midsize crossover, and it never gave us a bit of trouble (though it spelled plenty for an unfortunate deer that struck it head-on). We wanted to see if the second-generation CX-5 could repeat the feat.
One feat the midsize Mazda crossover has been pulling off almost singlehandedly is levitating the fortunes the small, independent Japanese automaker. At one point during 2018 the CX-5 outsold Volkswagen’s Atlas, Tiguan, and Touareg combined. We don’t need to remind you that Mazda’s mainstream SUV sales help ensure a future for cars like the MX-5 Miata.
And while we adore the Miata, an area where we’ve had some issue with it as well as the CX-5 is in the motivation department. The naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four with 187 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque under the hood of the CX-5 sounds good on paper and likely offers more than adequate power for most of its intended customers. But we’re not most buyers. We wanted more go.
“Mazda is outperforming its competitors on every front when it comes to look and feel at a given price point,” senior editor Nelson Ireson says. “The only thing that’s not leading the game is powertrain tech, and that’s pretty obvious once you get behind the wheel.
“It’s not that it lacks power so much as it lacks low-end torque, requiring a good thrashing to make the hustle of a quick merger or short on-ramp,” Ireson continues. “That, in turn means engine noise and vibration, which spoils the polished, controlled, sorted vibe found in every other aspect of the CX-5.”
At around 8.6 seconds to 60 mph, the CX-5 gets up to speed acceptably, but as Ireson and others on staff found out, it lacks some giddy up in situations where you could use more of it.
“My biggest complaint is that the car’s dynamic proficiency highlights its lack of power, especially for passing on the freeway,” social media editor Billy Rehbock says.
Some editors wondered whether the 227-horse turbo four from the CX-9 would fit under the CX-5’s hood, perhaps as some sort of Mazdaspeed version (remember those, Mazda fans?). There is one other engine option coming soon (or at least we keep hearing it is) for the 2019 model year, however, in the form of Mazda’s long-awaited 2.2-liter turbodiesel four, which is tentatively rated at 173 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. It should add the low-end grunt Ireson was looking for while marginally increasing fuel efficiency over the gas-powered engine.
Speaking of mpg, during our time with the CX-5 we recorded an average fuel economy of 24.5 mpg, which limboed under the EPA’s 26 mpg combined figure. It’s not all that surprising though considering how much we normally keep the hammer down around town—all in the name of evaluation, mind you.
“Could it use more power?” editor-in-chief Mike Floyd asks. “Of course, but then you start to sacrifice miles per gallon, and that’s a bad idea from a selling point perspective.”
Feelings throughout the staff were basically reversed when the subject turned to the CX-5’s dynamic chops. Although some thought it a bit softer than the first-gen model given its bigger dimensions and tuning that seemed more toward the comfort end of the spectrum, the new CX-5 was lauded for its precise steering that offers more feedback than most of its segment competitors, and overall poise on all manner of pavement.
Ireson sums up our thoughts well: “Ride quality is a careful balance of snappy handling and bumpy-road comfort. The steering is the crossover equivalent of extremely sporty, which is to say, not like you’d find in a sports car, but much closer to that ideal than the usual pile of mashed potatoes served to crossover drivers.”
The sentiment was much the same when the topic turned to the CX-5’s exterior style, which featured a killer Soul Red Metallic sheen on our test vehicle and attractive 19-inch rims. Praise was nearly universal for the Mazda’s sheetmetal, a design that takes some chances but generally speaking works instead of sticking out for the wrong reasons. It’s one of the key differentiators between the CX-5 and the rest of the midsize crossover crowd.
“Mazda continues to be at the forefront of design in the segment, and the new evolution of this design language is even cleaner,” associate editor Conner Golden says. “The CX-5 also looks a fair bit more expensive than it really is.”
That premium feel at an affordable price point philosophy extended to the interior. Materials had a near luxury look to them, and yet weren’t so precious as to worry about the effects of the sort of family travel for which this two-row SUV is intended. Given the comfortable cabin seating was swathed in a bright “parchment” white, keeping it clean was a bit of an issue, but thanks to a proper detailing it looked pretty much good as new when we turned it in.
It wasn’t all roses when the inside was mentioned. The familiar Mazda family of controls, including the rotary center dial that scrolls through audio, navigation and the like, received mixed reviews. ““There are some wonky things about the rotary dial infotainment setup,” Floyd says. “But it works. Screen seems a bit small given the competitive set [7-inches].”
At least one editor was unimpressed with the tiny sunroof. But for just north of $34,000 all in, the Grand Touring model was praised for its generous list of standard equipment and impressive suite of safety tech. Says Floyd, “I was impressed with the full-stop adaptive cruise control, and the head-up display also has a blind spot warning that’s pretty cool looking.”
The L.A. staff mostly used the CX-5 as a daily commuter, weekend errand-runner, and for the occasional short trip, but it got a cross country workout thanks to yours truly, who drove it north by northeast, through Reno, Nevada, and on to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, before heading back to the Motor City.
Once there, the Mazda CX-5 often had its back seat folded, with sheets, blankets, and doggy beds protecting the interior from a surfeit of collie hair. (There were frequent stops at powerful car wash vacuum stations.) My wife and I also used it to help relay an adopted dog to his new owner. Thanks to the CX-5 and Above and Beyond Transport, an English setter named Murphy had a comfortable ride from Detroit to Marine City, Michigan, his last 50 miles of a journey that began in Goochland, Virginia. We also used it for a couple of 360-mile round trips to our “Up North” cabin with the big dog in the family, a 100-pound rough collie.
During its 19,000 plus mile stay in our care, the CX-5 proved absolutely trouble free, with the only maintenance being a couple of oil changes and switching on and off a set of Bridgestone Blizzak winter rubber that we sourced from our friends at Tire Rack.
Rehbock nailed the team’s thoughts on our overall experience with the 2017 Mazda CX-5 well: “Perhaps no other affordable crossover fulfills our magazine’s mantra of ‘No Boring Cars.’ The CX-5 was never a punishment to drive. It boasts precise steering, well-tuned suspension and good throttle response,” he says. “I liked Mazda’s easy-to-navigate infotainment system. The white leather chairs were comfortable, supportive and stylish. The metallic red paint is one of the best colors on sale, and it’s a shame more cars don’t wear it.”
Chalk up at least one young enthusiast who will have fond memories of this family wagon some four or five decades hence.

2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport Changes, Release date, Price, and Specs. It is becoming a reality! Photos of the nearly-production model are now available, but we still expect final tuning on the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport. This is going to be a 5-seater version of the largest SUV with Volkswagen badge. The Cross Sport version is slightly smaller, and it will appear in the Asian market at. Soon after, European customers will also get their version. For the US the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport could replace Tiguan. It is still not confirmed since it can take a position between it and standard Atlas.
The prototype of the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport also pulls some other conclusions. The 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak truck will also arrive soon. This is what everyone expects since these two concepts shared a lot of in common. What’s more, we still don’t know what will be under the hood of the new SUV. Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and standard petrol unit, all options are still open. Various markets could get different configuration. One thing is sure– leaked images are not showing the PHEV model.
2020 VW ATLAS CROSS SPORT HYBRID
There are few options for the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport Hybrid and PHEV vehicles. Experts started their prediction from the existing SUV in the USA. That means the new vehicle will combine either 2.0-liter turbo-four or a 3.6-liter V6 with an electric battery. It is likely that VW engineers will opt for a larger displacement. It is going to pair a couple of electric motors. The system will be good for 355 hp (265 kW). Standard setup can make 275 hp.
This power will help 2020 VW Atlas Sport accelerate to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. Max speed is going to be limited to 130 mph (210 kmh). A dual-clutch auto gearbox transfers the energy to either front or all wheels.
The electric battery alone will be able to supply the SUV with power. The range of an 18 kW pack is not stunning, with an estimated range of 42 miles before the recharge. This is also good as an optional possibility. The 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport could get a mild-hybrid system with a small 2 kWh battery as the last option.
2020 VW ATLAS CROSS SPORT SPY PHOTOS
All we know about the upcoming 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport are the spy photos. Without camo, leaked images are showing definitely something that could be the production model. We can se a coupe-like SUV. The spied vehicle changed a few things on the concept model, but it still keeps the main idea of an aggressive and appealing SUV. Rounded front fascia gets a new bumper and grille.
The 2020 VW Atlas Sport will be different than its sibling from the US. It is going to be a coupe, the roofline is not so tight. This means occupants on the rear bench will have enough space for heads. The back of the SUV is the part where we will spot the most noteworthy difference between this and US model. Body color is unique, with special finishes. We have another change compared to standard Atlas.
2020 VW ATLAS CROSS SPORT RELEASE DATE
With such images already available for fans, the release date of the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport is not far away. The company announced earlier that the SUV is coming in 2019. Exactly when we still don’t know.
Two things are certain– the 2020 VW Atlas Sport will have a premiere in China. Well, leaked images are from there. The SUV will soon head to North America, to one of the major auto shows in the United States. Which one, again is a mystery. Production and sales will start late in 2019, also in Europe and Australia.
