My Hero Academia is ending in 5 chapters so that there will be a sequel where Bakudeku are married and they start a hero agency with Shouto as their sexy secretary. And they all fall in love while trying to navigate post-war society and make it a better one for both heroes and villains. It's true, HORI TOLD ME.

Hey, void. I want to create something. I could do with a hand, perhaps. Not sure quite how - probably to bounce ideas, gather footage, etc. It would be at a snail’s pace, fitting around work, but ultimately aiming to become a completed ‘thing’.

I’ve had an idea for a Venom fanvid/tribute, which also includes an implied Venom 4/fix it.

Might be alright, might be as successful as Venom’s smoothie

18+ only pls, due to mental health and kink topics littered across my blog (…and psyche).

I’ve got 2-3 songs I’d love to use - obviously, copyright stuff comes into it, and all I can hope is that the fact that it would be fan-made, not for profit, and not looking to go viral would keep it in the realms of allowed poetic liberty and freedoms.

Ideas:

- Aim to create high production value snippets of footage to create a V4 fix-it plot. Resources I can utilise:

Black slime

Cool lighting

Colour grading with DaVinci

I have a lean to stocky build which might look similar in a hoodie

Brown waxed jacket

Various locations, some of which I’m in touch with the land owners, including industrial, rural, and potentially a pond

- Craft a V4 narrative

Music choice

Snippets of fan-made content if I can make it to a high enough production value

Snippets of deleted scenes added if they fit

Snippets of existing scenes added if we can modify them enough to seem like new footage (so it doesn’t become confusing and seem like a memory sequence or time skip)

Story device which could help (texts on mobile, pipette of saltwater droplet landing on phone as Eddie texts Anne, etc)

Use of stock footage (if need to know about copyright though)

Compositing over existing footage

Vocal impressions (Is that too weird?) to convey a narrative

- Main creative directives:

Gritty and cathartic

Realistic

Eddie breaking down / not doing so good

Venom finding his way back (likely as a cockroach, then a fish, then a bird etc)

As cinematic as possible given limited resources

Colour grade and film similar to Venom 1, with the darker, grittier, ‘Alien’ approach

Could give reference to certain Comic scenes, though I tend to want to stay away from the comic representation and some of the backstory in favour of Tom Hardy’s portrayal and the vibes in Venom (2018). I love those ‘The Hunger’ scenes, and the re-merging scenes though. I’d love to include visual references to all that somehow, even if the context isn’t the same

3-5 min or more fan video (live action), though ideally 5-10 mins!

- Collaborative approach

I love bouncing ideas

I could do with a hand collating stock footage which fits, editing, writing, maintaining inspiration and motivation, sound side of things, recording bits if we were in the same area but the chances of that are slim to none

Mood boards would be awesome

There are so many good fics and writers out there and it’s hard to know the best direction to take it in

Anyone else feel a little overwhelmed by how many fandoms just kind of consume your soul? Also laugh at how dyrastically different they are?

Like me for example, I like My Little Pony and Star Wars. Two very different genres and tones, but they both eat my soul a little. Also Netflix's Lost in Space, and Avatar the Last Airbender and it's a little funny. Like I feel like I shouldn't like all four of those shows because of how different they are but they all just hit different, and MLP was my first fandom, (well, I guess techniaclly Dinasour Train and Wild Kratts were the first--don't judge, I was smol- and both are hard to watch as an Adult) gotta respect it, and how much comfort it fills me with to watch six ponies learn about friendship. Like I'm not sure if this is just because of ADHD and hyperfixations but still.

it's weird how much mental real estate these four shows take up.

Like, does anyone else feel weird about the shows they like?

But also it's kinda nice because you can exist with other people who like that fandom and the more fandoms you like the more spaces you can exist in.

Anybody know when you get obsessive over something and you just get a pit in the feeling of your stomach and it’s not really a good one, something along the lines of “damn I could never live in that world, cause it’s just not real”

Or like, “damn that world is not real, but I’m taking it so seriously and literally thinking of it every moment I breathe”

Anybody else have that kind of mental illness… Just me… OK😜

You know, Ezra and Cee's relationship is a fantastic example of what a father daughter (or even parent child) dynamic should look like. Minus the whole killing-her-biological-father part (even if he was an Ass™)

Ezra never -- not once pushed the blame on Cee. Even when, in his anger and pain (I mean, the girl literally shot him in the arm) it would have been easy for him to do so. He never did.

He tried to make her as comfortable as possible, all things considered -- trying to tell her she could trust him, that he'd look after her, even going so far as to voluntarily return her weapon to her so she'd feel more in control and secure.

And don't even get me started on their conversation post-amputation. He listened to her without interruption. He engaged with her in a genuinely thoughtful way. He offered her emotional advice, showed interest in the things she expressed excitement about, and never made her feel small for her emotions, but even encouraged them.

And the great thing is, Cee felt like she could tell him all of this. She felt that she could share her most important insterests, and even her creative endeavors, with him. And when she expressed doubt about these things, putting herself in an even more vulnerable position, he made her feel good about herself and built her up.

Ezra might have done some bad things, but he sure as hell is a great parental figure.

How do we feel about Dougzer since the Reddit comment Parkzer posted? He basically said he's not comfortable with the ship. I feel a bit weird about everything now. It was a very human and frank reply to a lot of his issues with Doug's community

honestly it's a lot less bad than I thought?

i feel like there's a big difference between what happened on the wiki, which is very public, doug knows about it and kinda encourages the Weirdness, which is how people take things too far, prompting parkzer's post, and what we do on tumbr/ao3, where doug has spent all of 10 seconds on tumblr and has probably never been on ao3, even if he's aware the website exists.

like. honestly i might archive-lock the fics that are written to be more "plausible" (by which i mean they're not obviously false like the evil science ones) but that's about it on my end?

it's people that are pushing this in the face of the two of them that are causing these issues. and i'm not doing that. i don't want anybody to do that. i feel like i'm pretty clear about the fact that i don't believe this is reality and that my works (and by extension my tumblr) shouldn't be shared with anyone portrayed in them.

they have twitch, youtube, twitter, reddit, wiki, etc. we have tumblr and ao3. and never the twain shall meet.
