A curious discovery on LinkedIn could indicate future content for high-end Cadillac models. Currently, Bose provides top-of-the-line audio components for the most expensive versions of Cadillac’s sedans and crossovers, but Bose also supplies audio for top shelf Chevrolet Malibus; a balancing act between premium and pure luxury the Framingham, Massachusetts, company says it’s more than capable of handling. But Cadillac might not be interested in Bose’s claimed ability to straddle both segments any longer, especially as rival brands Audi and BMW both offer superior Bang & Olufsen setups, Lexus has chosen Mark Levinson, and Lincoln’s gone with Revel–all conveniently part of HARMAN International’s family of brands. Our clue comes from Lisa Graf, a Senior Project Manager at HARMAN International, who is currently working on amplifiers for General Motors applications. If Cadillac is, in fact, planning a switch to one of HARMAN’s high-end audio brands, we should see the transition happen before the next-generation of sedans hits the market, as Graf’s work on E2UL would indicate the new sound system could debut with the upcoming Cadillac XT4 which is believed to ride on a somewhat stretched version of GM’s Epsilon platform. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday. Cadillac hopes there’s still some truth in that automotive wisdom, as it’s launching special-edition versions of its CTS-V and ATS-V that commemorate the brand’s 2017 wins in IMSA racing.

Cadillac took the manufacturer title in the IMSA WeatherTech championship for the 2017 season, which marked the brand’s return to endurance racing. Additionally, the Konica Minolta team—one of three outfits running Cadillac’s DPi-V.R prototype race car—took the team championship, and brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor won the drivers’ championship.

The cars that mark the achievement are the ATS-V Championship Edition coupe and sedan and the CTS-V Championship Edition. All models come in black or white with red accents. Special graphics adorn the hood, spoiler, and quarter-windows. Each also come with a Carbon Fiber package (front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser), a Morello Red package (split-folding rear seats with red stitching and red-accented carbon-fiber interior trim), Recaro seats, and Brembo brake calipers (also in red).
