Superstition has given many explanations for eclipses. Primitive cultures believed that the sky reflected what happened on earth. So they believed that during eclipses darkness reigned over light. In many cultures, they thought that eclipses were a good time for sacrifices. Even human sacrifices. In fact, they'll explain it better in History class, but the Maya believed that human blood was… Well, we're out of time.

Experiencing an eclipse

Shadows grow weird

The hair on the back of your neck starts to prickle

Minutes before the totality hits the birds go silent and the bugs SCREAM

The danger sense in the back of your brain says something is w-r-o-n-g

Logically, you know the darkness is coming, you can track the moon’s path over the sun by the shadows on the ground and through your glasses

Totality still hits like a physical blow. The sky goes dark.

People scream, people cry.

The Sun is gone

It’s a devastating black void in the sky where warmth has always been. Horror and jubilation follow, people trying to grab photos and each other

Just as equilibrium settles, the moon shifts and the first piercing ray of sunlight is blinding.

The sun, the light returns, the sky becomes blue again.

People scatter, intent on returning home as quickly as they can.

Birds start singing again.

The shadows return to normal.

The eclipse is over.

Just under four minutes of quiet, dark stillness. The nearby crows were (once again, as they were in 2017) very much not a fan as totality approached.

Honestly, I think it would be fitting if pairs like Webby and Lena, Drake and Launchpad and Della and Penumbra were to sit together while watching the solar eclipse. After all, all 3 of these pairs have some history with the concept of darkness in some way. As shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 1: The Night Of De Spell!’, Lena was a living shadow who was under Magica De Spell’s control before, as shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 2: The Day Of The Ducks!’, she was saved from Magica by the light of her bond with Webby. As shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 1: The St. Canardian Guardian!’, Drake prided himself on being “the terror that flaps through the night” as Darkwing Duck while Launchpad worked with him as his partner. And, as shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!’, Della was stranded on the Moon and Penumbra lived on it and the Moon orbits Earth in the darkness of space.

Huey, Dewey, Louie and Phooey Duck watch the solar eclipse in Duckburg - My redraw - Ducktales 2017 - Quack Pack Reboot - Happy birthday to them!

I drew for the Solar Eclipse that was in America these days as well as posting for the birthdays of Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck plus Phooey Duck, who usually celebrate on April 15th.

By the way, a solar eclipse occurs when the moon, which is in its youth phase, goes towards the earth's surface and is located between the sun and the earth and covers the sun with its body, and thus a solar eclipse occurs. Astronomy. And they mostly happen in rare moments, but they still cause a great effect in people and for many it can be a turning point, sometimes in the negative, sometimes in the positive, although unfortunately more in the negative. However, many people who are waiting for a solar eclipse look forward to it and wear glasses to protect against it, because the solar eclipse causes a large effect of glare from the Sun. And it all takes a few minutes.

So I drew Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, from Ducktales 2017, but in my version of them as I imagine them, by wearing their own kind of suit, but all wearing jeans and backwards baseball caps together. To make them look more cool, of course. And they're wearing eclipse glasses and enjoying it, and there's their fourth brother Phooey Duck, who I drew in a mix between the Ducktales reboot version and my version. And behind them is the Money Bin as it looks in Ducktales 2017 and on the side of the drawing I drew some sort of solar eclipse as it looks like. Yes, this is how I imagine them in my Quack Pack reboot version as well, if it was a sequel to Ducktales 2017. Yes, there are real teenagers here, because they act like it.
