学佛人的一生必须要有智慧的明灯,
这盏明灯照耀着智慧,那么智慧来自于哪里?
来自于一个人的佛性,
那么闪耀着智慧的光芒就是靠着佛性。
台长告诉大家,
人的一生有三盏明灯照耀着人生的光明之路,
第一盏在心中的明灯是什么?
叫愿存高远,
人的一生当中,如果你拼命地求上,你可能会居中;
如果你只要求到当中就可以了,你有可能居下;
如果你求下,你则一定不入流。
就像我们小时候读书一样,
我要考一百二十分,然后你可能会考一百分一样,
所以,人生起步的时候,
我们的愿力必须要大,必须要高,必须要远,
我们要学雄鹰展翅高飞,
只有这样,才能激发你生命的潜能、佛陀的智慧,
步步为营,逐步走向光明。
人生的第二盏明灯,
就是把握当下。
当下对我们来讲是最重要的,
昨日如流水,一去不回头,
对过去空流眼泪徒悲伤,
都无济于事,反而会消沉,
让你的心态变得更加恶劣,浪费了精力;
遥不可及的未来虚空飘渺、不切实际,
正确的方法就是要活在当下,
#关注今天,把握当下,
这样你才能修行有为,不枉此生,
希望大家每天的修行和修心都是你把握的当下,
#未来靠的是你的今天,
今天不努力,老大徒悲伤,
今天就开始做菩萨,未来一定会成菩萨。
人生的第三盏明灯就是永不气馁,
我们在人间会碰到很多的烦恼和业障,
人的一生当中有很多无法预料的很多的苦难,
犹如层层乌云铺天盖地而来,
有时候我们看不到阳光,
如果我们修行人看不到佛陀的存在,
看不到西方极乐世界的存在,我们会失去方向。
表面看来,这些乌云十分强大,
但一切并不可怕,
最可怕的是你的心已经萎靡不振,
这正是许多人失败的根源,
一个人的一生当中,
无论你从事何种职业,无论你遇到何种人和事,
只要你永不气馁,你就一定有成功的那一天。
对学佛的人来说,
精进的每一天就是你成佛的每一天。

Este meme refiere a la preferencia que tienen los alumnos frente a distintos tipos de profesores. En la imagen superior derecha se muestra un típico salón de clases, con una clase expositiva que muestra cierta lejanía entre la profesora y los alumnos. En la imagen inferior izquierda, por el contrario, se muestra una relación mucho más estrecha entre Merlí  y los alumnos. Esta preferencia se produce debido a que Merlí es mucho más cercano a sus estudiantes y se involucra en sus luchas y problemas a diferencia de los profesores tradicionales que solo ven la enseñanza desde un punto de vista profesional, dejando de lado el lado humano de la profesión.

you have a fair point there! forensic anthropologists like richard neave have determined that jesus was likely a brown jewish man (http://www.gospelherald.com/articles/60618/20151214/jesuss-face-drawn-by-medical-artist-based-on-forensic-anthropological-research-trends-on-news.htm) and i agree that jesus’ jewish identity is something that needs to be acknowledged much more than we currently do.
it’s true that racial/ethnic politics are entirely dissimilar to what they are today and that jesus was killed more for being a revolutionary jewish socialist preacher and less for being brown. the decision to racialize jesus is a contemporary one in which people wish to retrofit present ideas to ancient dynamics.
i personally think that because the bible is meant to be universal in its appeal, it’s more than acceptable to ascribe the modern to the divine. for instance, martin luther king jr. championed the rhetoric that jesus was a black man, so even though that doesn’t really align with the consensus for historical jesus, we’re not just talking about the historical figure, we’re talking about the divine, and divinity’s transcendence should allow believers of color to see themselves in their god. in an era where people of color are killed at an alarming rate, it’s valuable to be able to contextualize jesus’ life with their own. it’s not so much meant to be ‘these contemporary dynamics functioned the exact same way then as they do today’ as it is 'all you white bigoted conservatives who keep touting jesus as your white bigoted savior need to sit down.’
but yeah, just because that’s okay to do, it doesn’t mean we should leave out jesus’ incredibly important jewish heritage from the conversation! jesus’ jewishness had paramount influence on the events of the bible and the formation of christianity itself. even when we politicize jesus under contemporary mores, that’s something we shouldn’t leave out of the conversation

 Este meme hace referencia a la importancia que tiene Merlí para sus alumnos. Este profesor hizo que sus alumnos se conocieran a sí mismos, que volvieran a tener fe de que eran capaces de entender y lograr lo que se propusieran aún cuando las demás personas les dijeran lo contrario. Además, logró que la enseñanza fuera considerada desde un nuevo punto de vista, el de una interacción y experiencia más cercana entre el profesor y los alumnos. Por todo esto el dejar de contar con el profesor que les insta y anima se consideraría como algo gravísimo para los alumnos, quienes tendrían que volver a la forma tradicional de enseñanza. 很多人拜佛都不会拜, 你们一定要好好地学,当磕头下去的时候要把眼睛闭起来,这个时候你的心就等于完全收起来, 头抬起来的时候眼睛要睁开看菩萨的光, 看到观世音菩萨的印象 马上收进来,收进来再拜下去的时候眼睛又闭起来,这样就把菩萨收在心中了,要常驻在心。
磕头要慢,要用心,如果磕头太快没 用的, 很多人上头香的时候...(台长模仿上香很快的动作)没有用的。所以你们一定要慢, 慢就是用心。双手合十代表两心相印,佛心和人心两心相 应,十指连心嘛,你的手指合了之后,你的血脉整个小周天大周天都打通了,所以你们拜佛的时候要很慢。 菩萨接收你的气场,接收你的信息要有一点时间的。有时候请菩萨来的时候,你们一定要懂得,我请观世音菩 萨来的时候,不是说一求菩萨就来的,他从上面很高下来,也有一段时空的。虽然他们是光速,非常地快, 但是也要有一段时间的。如果这些信息不告诉你们,你们怎么懂啊?很多人磕头磕一辈子都不知道,所以求了不灵啊。

Untukmu, seseorang yang mulai membuat hariku berantakan. Tak henti hentinya kau mengganggu pikiranku, membuatku selalu mencarimu, dan tak hentinya diriku selalu memandangimu..
Lebih dari itu, kau selalu membuatku berharap. Padahal kau sendiri tak pasti, abu-abu. Kau sering membuatku menyerah, dengan segala sifat dan tingkah lakumu yang terbaca olehku..
Tanpa kau katakan, aku cukup tau diri. Tak mungkin kululuhkan kau yang telah meluluhkan hatiku dengan tiba tiba. Karena dulu, semua biasa biasa saja dan akan akan kembali seperti itu. Aku tak perlu berharap pada sesuatu yang tak pasti, bukan?
