LA ARQUITECTURA EFIMERA (TEXTIL) DE SEVILLA

presentamos dos obras que pertenecieron al arquitecto José Miguel de Prada Poole, experto en estructuras textiles.

La primera de ella se trata de Heliotron una pista de huelo que se inauguró en Sevilla en 1973. se trataba se una estructura textil inflada, o de neumático como las define su autor, se basa en una cimentación y un sótano realizados en hormigón armado y una cobertura realizada por unos toldos ignífugos. Su parte centrar la formaba una gran pista d hielo la cual se comunicaba con otras de menor tamaño mediante pasillos, en los cuales se proyectaban imágenes en sus lonas. Fue un centro deportivo de gran tirón en la ciudad, teniendo que instalar una linea de lanzaderas desde el prado hasta Montequinto, pero con el paso de los años perdió popularidad y esta obra que fue premio nacional de arquitectura pasó al olvido y abandono.

La segunda se trata del famoso Palenque de la EXPO92, se situaba en los terrenos que ocupa actualmente la torre Pelli, se basaba en una consecución de mástiles metálicos, con bases de hormigón, los cuales autotensaban las lonas que cubrían una gran extensión, mediante cables de acero. En su interior se encontraban zonas ajardinadas y diferentes puestos y tiendas durante la EXPO, al finalizar esta se instalaron en el diferentes salas d fiesta, destinadas principalmente a la epoca estival. Finalmente el deterioro, abandono, y la carencia de mantenimiento, junto con un nuevo proyecto, provocaron que se perdiera esta construcción.

En la actualidad aun se conserva una pequeña obra se este arquitecto, en la Gerencia de Urbanismo (AV. Carlos III) esta aunque algo deteriorada por el paso del tiempo, aun se mantiene intacta y con un leve mantenimiento.
