About taking this photo:

This photo was taken at a busy event with fast moving people, I could hardly concentrate on who to focus on there was so much action happening around me. Kid’s are especially fun for capturing fun and endearing actions in photographs and there were everywhere. I saw this moment while capturing another boy close up on a snow hill, while this scene of mother and son swinging started in the distance and I immediately had to turn my focus on them to capture the moment. The motion of swinging around was too fast to get all the thrilling moments in actions but I happened to pull off one with focus on the boys face. The action of my two subjects was far in the distance so I used 200mml zoom to get the action in frame, the position I was in being far my subject at the time was to my advantage because if I had been to close when the moment went down my lens would of possibly been too long to capture the moment as it happened.

I did my best to center my subjects in the middle of the frame for a more evenly balanced picture, but slight cropping was necessary to get sense that the swinging boy is the main part of the image.

In this first photo you can see my subjects blurred in the background while i’m focusing on another subject,

then I immediately start to focus in on the action happening in my photograph because of the energy it attracted while the boy was just sitting there. Here is the entire shot of images to do with this scene and how it played out.:
