Hmm a friend recently brought up how HC's unsubtle drug metaphor being soap kind of tied to themes of the series of a whole both with Q84's obsession with puberty and, where this presumably all derives, Charles's obsession with cleanliness. But that's not really a him thing tho so

I like his interactions with Felix a whole lot !! I think they are cute
