Ever since this song was released I immediately thought it was about Zayn and the bands relationship as a group. But recently I've been back to 1D and I listened to this song again and that thinking about it, it could also be a message to the fans. It signifies how much history we also have with the boys supporting them since day one. It's also a message on how "We can be the greatest team that the world has ever seen." means how the bond between the group and their fans have been amazing. "Without you here life is just a lie" points out how they won't be where they are now without their loyal fanbase. And when they say "Thought we were holding on" can refer to us holding on to the hope of them coming back hence the "this is not the end, we can make it, you know it, you know" line. Somehow this was their goodbye, but at the same time their promise that they will come back. It can also be them worrying that there may be nothing to come back to once this hiatus happened. Idk it just brings a whole new light to this song if you think about it this way.

You know it's 2019 and I still have hope for One Direction.

I still think they will come back. I think they will keep their promise. I hope so.

It's been a year!

For a really long time I've been listening to this 'boyband' and the chaos they made. At times I loved them and their tunes, at times I hated them for making such fucking annoying and yet catchy songs and most of the time I was in awe of their massive fanbase and their impact on everyone's life. And at last, I don't know how or why, I ended up binging on 1d funny videos and on this day a year ago seeing the 'Whoops' post I knew, that they weren't only a group of dorky good looking talented guys but also amazing people, who owned my heart thereon. Thank you ot5 for being so amazing and endearingly dorky, thank you everyone out here for making my days better and making my experience a great one. I've never been this deep into any fandom and I'm glad that this was the first one :) And sorry for being so emo

I'm the anon who told you about the 1DHistory blog. After seeing that they literally cut that moment on stage between Louis and Harry, I decided not checking the blog anymore. But God, I was so curious about them! So I did that and today in 2014 "Harry stops for a fan :))" and in 2015 "Louis and Eleanor stroll Bondi Beach in Sydney :))". But also today in 2012 "1D in Sweden - SVT interview posted" and in 2015 "Lilo hit Eve bar in Melbourne" and more. But all these events weren't worthy of ":))"

I asked emma too but I think she isn’t around now. I saw some booth pictures from the 1D film premiere and some of them had Harry and elk on it, like in the same picture. I was wondering if that was a manip or real because I have need see those. The 1Dhistory IG posted so I was confused.
