So we all know that Momo would be an engineer or something related as either a part-time job or his official job. And after I read the manhua for N times, I have realized that the author has foreshadowed his interest and job by his childhood flashback. He liked robots and sth like that, so being a engineer makes sense.

Speaking of which, let’s talk about the job that we thought he would do. I have read a lot of this manhua fanfic and most of them refer to his job as either a chef or a restaurant’s owner. That’s because we all thought that he loves to cook, and I also realize that we thought that way because he cooks well, but that doesn’t mean he loves to. He cooks well because he has done it many times, and it’s not because he likes it, but because he had to. He lives with his mom, and certainly his mom is extremely busy with her work, and she doesn’t have time to cook. Although whenever she appears in the manhua, she always seems to cook something, but I think that to raise a child herself from around elementary school to high school needs a lot of money and effort, so in order to have enough money to raise him, she doesn’t have much time being at home. As a result, Momo has to cook himself whenever she’s not home. I think that’s a little ironic because we all think he likes something that’s actually not his interest but a responsibility and burden to him.

and sorry for the tangent/rant is this going to become because, truly, 19 Days has no religious plot or tones, doesn't offer commentary or criticism on it- hell!! it has nothing to do with it at all

yet my hurt heart can help but heal a little bit more every time a queer piece of media has moments like this

ngl, when I started reading the chapter I was nervous, but afterwards it became one of my faves of the series; it gives the same vibe as Charlie's final talk w/ Ben in the Heartstopper series

we, who grow up on extremist religious households, are often groomed to the idea of "always forgiving", always taking the "high ground" and "being the better person" - whatever it even is supposed to be like. and it takes a long time to shake off the guilt of simply not wanting to forgive someone that hurt

because, here's the thing, YOU DON'T!! nb needs to forgive everyone; forget and move forward? absolutely, yes. but if someone pushed you too far and you want nothing to do with them anymore, it's your right to it. you're not going to hell, nor is any other Deity you believe going to punish you for that

it's why scenes like this, specially to lgbt ppl, is so important and will always have a deep impact on me (and a lot of others, I'm sure)

Late analyzing again 🤣 but it just feels like I can’t help sharing my thoughts on this chapter. Anyway I kinda like how they subtly and impliedly say flirtatious things (sorry for my bad English), especially He Tian, in ordinary scenes like this. Probably because of the censorship yet it’s somehow more affectionate than explicit confessions. I don’t know if it’s just me but the “I’m not letting go” really moved me 🥹 Just feel like He Tian will never ever give up on his lil Mo no matter what.
