Jennifer Lawrence barfed at Olivia Wilde's Broadway play
Jennifer Lawrence makes headlines for all sorts of things.
JLaw makes headlines when she trips. She makes headlines when she trips again, over a traffic cone on the Oscars red carpet. She makes headlines when she jetskis, when she eats and, most recently, when she barfs during a Broadway performance.
Per Page Six, the actress excused herself midway through a Monday night performance of 1984 to throw up.
But although this particular show — starring Olivia Wilde and Tom Sturridge — is notorious for making audience members faint or vomit, Lawrence's bout of sickness was reportedly due to a stomach flu she caught from her nephews.
On Wednesday Wilde chimed in, referencing her play's messy reputation:
As long as I have a play, Jennifer Lawrence has a place to puke. 🙌#honored #getwellsoon #iloveyou #1984onBarfway #spewbagsnotincluded
— olivia wilde (@oliviawilde) July 19, 2017
Wilde's sustained serious injuries (including a broken tailbone) since the play's public debut. In June, she says she split her lip and broke Sturridge's nose during two performances.
Busted my lip open on stage last night. Broke Tom's nose a few nights before. This play is NUTS. 🔥☠️😵. #1984onBroadway #revisedtruth
— olivia wilde (@oliviawilde) June 2, 2017
But despite the audience reaction, Wilde's pretty nonchalant about the whole thing.
Per the Hollywood Reporter:
Translation: Maybe pack a barf bag before attending.

Daisy Josephine is 1!
The younger child of engaged actors Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis rang in her first full year Wednesday — fittingly, on International Day of the Girl.
“My curious, courageous one, I promise we’ll work hard to make this place better for you and your sisters everywhere,” Wilde, 33, captioned a photo of an intrigued-looking Daisy gazing out a window. “We’ve taken some hits recently, but I believe we are even more determined because of it.”
“We dream of a time when you won’t have to apologize for your brilliance, or sacrifice your self-respect to prove your worthiness,” adds the Vinyl star. “This world is yours, kiddo. We’re just the cleanup crew. I love you. Happy birthday. ❤ #internationaldayofthegirl.”

The mother of two (she and Sudeikis are also parents to son Otis Alexander, 3) also shared a hilarious throwback photo of herself in a hospital bed shortly before Daisy’s arrival, flipping the middle finger at someone “juuuuust as the drugs kicked in.”
“Daisy’s birth was a little bit complicated and I’m deeply grateful for Sharlene Pope, Dr Caitlin Fiss, Nurse Helen O’Keeffe, and the whole life-saving team at Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan,” Wilde wrote.
“Together we pushed out a gorgeous almost 10 lb (😱) baby lady,” she continued. “Let’s hear it for modern medicine. It shouldn’t be reserved for the lucky few. Happy birthday, Daisy girl! 💕.”

From May through Oct. 8, Wilde made her Broadway debut as Julia in a stage production of George Orwell‘s dystopian classic 1984 (which happens to be the year Wilde was born) — and little Daisy was along for the ride on Mom’s opening night.
“How Daisy and I feel about #1984onBroadway officially opening TONIGHT! Aaahhhhh!!!!!” she captioned a smiley selfie of the pair in June.

Olivia Wilde Has the Best Response to Jennifer Lawrence Reportedly Puking at Her Broadway Show
Jennifer Lawrence apparently had a very visceral response while watching the Broadway play 1984 -- but the show's star, Olivia Wilde, is totally OK with that.
The play's website warns that the "production contains flashing lights, strobe effects, loud noises, gunshots, smoking, and graphic depictions of violence and torture," which can be too much for some people. The Monday night performance was a little overwhelming for Lawrence, who midway through the show, reportedly "bolted from her seat," and was "very sick," according to a Page Six source. "Several people saw her getting sick in the lobby," the source claimed. "The ushers were very helpful and courteous in helping her out.”

While it was thought that Lawrence may have fallen ill due to the intense production, the website reports that a friend of the Oscar winner told them that she had actually "caught the stomach flu from her nephews."
On Wednesday, Wilde reacted to Lawrence allegedly getting sick during the show with a lighthearted tweet. "As long as I have a play, Jennifer Lawrence has a place to puke," she declared, adding the hashtags #honored, #getwellsoon, #iloveyou, #1984onBarfway and #spewbagsnotincluded.

This isn't the first time 1984 has reportedly caused some audience members to get queezy. In May, Wilde tweeted a disclaimer about the play, writing: "Sending my love to those four people who fainted in the audience. Warning: this is not your grandma's Broadway. Hope all are OK!"
It's not a cake walk for the 33-year-old actress either. Last month, Wilde also took to Twitter to talk about the injuries that she and her co-star, Tom Sturridge, had sustained during production. "Busted my lip open on stage last night. Broke Tom's nose a few nights before. This play is NUTS. 🔥☠️😵. #1984onBroadway #revisedtruth," she wrote. Wilde later confirmed during an interview with Today that she wasn't kidding and had in fact broken Sturridge's nose "in retaliation because he broke my coccyx."

In the play, based on George Orwell's 1949 book, Sturridge stars as Winston Smith and Wilde as his love interest, Julia. Like the 1984 the novel, the play is set in a dystopian future run by Big Brother, a government that uses propaganda, brainwashing and torture to control its citizens.
While the play does seem to cause an adverse reaction in some people, Lawrence has admitted in the past that she already has a weak stomach. "I'm a puker," she said during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in December 2015. "I don't stop working because I am a show pony. I don't have a choice. So I just keep going until my body is like, 'If we don't make her barf or pass out, she won't stop.'"
The 26-year-old actress also claimed in May 2014 that she puked after the Oscars that year. Lawrence told Seth Meyers on Late Night that while at Madonna's Oscars after-party at Guy Oseary's Los Angeles home, she got very sick. "I puked on his porch," she recalled. "I was in such bad condition."
