Olivia Wilde Has the Best Response to Jennifer Lawrence Reportedly Puking at Her Broadway Show
Jennifer Lawrence apparently had a very visceral response while watching the Broadway play 1984 -- but the show's star, Olivia Wilde, is totally OK with that.
The play's website warns that the "production contains flashing lights, strobe effects, loud noises, gunshots, smoking, and graphic depictions of violence and torture," which can be too much for some people. The Monday night performance was a little overwhelming for Lawrence, who midway through the show, reportedly "bolted from her seat," and was "very sick," according to a Page Six source. "Several people saw her getting sick in the lobby," the source claimed. "The ushers were very helpful and courteous in helping her out.”

While it was thought that Lawrence may have fallen ill due to the intense production, the website reports that a friend of the Oscar winner told them that she had actually "caught the stomach flu from her nephews."
On Wednesday, Wilde reacted to Lawrence allegedly getting sick during the show with a lighthearted tweet. "As long as I have a play, Jennifer Lawrence has a place to puke," she declared, adding the hashtags #honored, #getwellsoon, #iloveyou, #1984onBarfway and #spewbagsnotincluded.

This isn't the first time 1984 has reportedly caused some audience members to get queezy. In May, Wilde tweeted a disclaimer about the play, writing: "Sending my love to those four people who fainted in the audience. Warning: this is not your grandma's Broadway. Hope all are OK!"
It's not a cake walk for the 33-year-old actress either. Last month, Wilde also took to Twitter to talk about the injuries that she and her co-star, Tom Sturridge, had sustained during production. "Busted my lip open on stage last night. Broke Tom's nose a few nights before. This play is NUTS. 🔥☠️😵. #1984onBroadway #revisedtruth," she wrote. Wilde later confirmed during an interview with Today that she wasn't kidding and had in fact broken Sturridge's nose "in retaliation because he broke my coccyx."

In the play, based on George Orwell's 1949 book, Sturridge stars as Winston Smith and Wilde as his love interest, Julia. Like the 1984 the novel, the play is set in a dystopian future run by Big Brother, a government that uses propaganda, brainwashing and torture to control its citizens.
While the play does seem to cause an adverse reaction in some people, Lawrence has admitted in the past that she already has a weak stomach. "I'm a puker," she said during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in December 2015. "I don't stop working because I am a show pony. I don't have a choice. So I just keep going until my body is like, 'If we don't make her barf or pass out, she won't stop.'"
The 26-year-old actress also claimed in May 2014 that she puked after the Oscars that year. Lawrence told Seth Meyers on Late Night that while at Madonna's Oscars after-party at Guy Oseary's Los Angeles home, she got very sick. "I puked on his porch," she recalled. "I was in such bad condition."
