okay i know i brought this up before but humor me so recently i rewatched spiderman homecoming & i remembered a few points. firstly Liz’s dad was the vulture second liz didnt know that peter was spiderman thirdly liz finds out that her dad was doing illegal stuff with alien technology and whatever so what if marvel were to progress this storyline & have liz know that it was spiderman who took down her dad & then have her continue the whole goblin storyline similar to the 2000s spidey

Hey there! I do somewhat remember talking about this a while back!

So…I do think that now that we have Spider-Man officially back in the MCU for a little while longer (THANK GOD) we definitely have a possibility of seeing Liz and Adrian Toomes taking on a modern day Norman and Harry Osborne story line! Before I continue…you’ve seen Far From Home already correct!? I don’t want to spoil anything so don’t keep reading if you haven’t!!

Seriously here comes a major spoiler so be warned!!

Now that we’ve learned from the first post credit scene of Far From Home, Peter’s identity has been revealed to the world by J. Jonah Jameson. I can only assume that this isn’t going to bode well for Peter in the future of the MCU. Because of this, there is no way that Liz wouldn’t be able to connect the dots and figure out that the boy who used to crush on her, ultimately took her father down and ripped her family apart. This definitely sounds like reason enough to exact some revenge!

Now, the only question will be if it is going to somehow be worked into the Green Goblin story line? Another blink and you miss it moment in FFH was seeing Avengers Tower being rebuilt in the background as Peter swings by. Was this put in there as an Easter egg to let us know that somebody bought the property? Possibly Toomes has something to do with it even though he is behind bars? And if so, is Liz vengeful enough to take on a Green Goblinesque mantle? Unfortunately, we may have to wait until 2021 to find out!

okay okay okay so in 202something thanos destroys the stones and from that point on they are null and void right so because they time traveled they were able to use them again to bring everyone back but then steve goes back in time to but them back but at that point in the time line thanos had been snapped away so there is no need for the stones to be brought together to bring everyone back & therefore put back or even destroyed so do the infinity stones exist at the time of far from home????

Ahh yayy we haven’t done this in a while! Also, how did you know that I literally just re-watched Endgame tonight so everything would be super fresh in my mind!? Alrighty, I’m going to try to talk myself through this to see if I even make sense…

So…when Thanos destroys the stones initially it’s still the year 2018 at that point; basically when the Avengers visit him in the Garden it’s only been a couple of days since “the snap”. This is when Thanos says that he used the stones to destroy the stones. Fast forward a little while and we get a crazy explanation from Bruce about the rules of time travel and basically everything we learned about time travel from Back to the Future is bullshit. From this explanation as well as his conversation with the Ancient One later on, we pretty much are told that going back in time isn’t going to change the past or future but will rather create a time rift of sorts and open an alternate timeline (at least that’s what I kind of make of it??).

This would explain the idea of how the Avengers are able to go back in time to retrieve the stones before Thanos does without actually affecting the result of “the snap”.  This also would be true for the events of Tony sacrificing himself  and Steve thereafter returning them back to where they came from to close the rift that they had changed. It’s not that the stones don’t exist anymore because the past version of Thanos (2014) was snapped away in their present (2023) or that “the snap” never happened because it was undone; it’s just that these events as well as the stones now exist in multiple timelines. So by Steve eventually returning all of the stones back to where they came from, it’s not changing the fact that they defeated Thanos but it is ensuring that he stays defeated in this said timeline. So all in all, in my own opinion at least, I do think that the stones still exist during the time of Far From Home but possibly not in the timeline that Peter is currently residing. I really hope that we are going to learn more about the Multiverse and it’s capabilities within the MCU as the Phase’s continue on that will give us a better explanation of this! We had a bit of a tease of it in FFH so hopefully we get a much more in depth look soon!

Honestly, I feel the longer that I explained this the more confusing I made it sound! I hope I gave an answer to what you were looking for!!

steph! so this past saturday i had my high school graduation!!! im officially done with school (not counting college). im currently going through the crisis of oh my god what am i going to do next what now i need an instruction manual. but im hoping to be able to spend more time here on tumblr now that i have more free time!

Cameron, oh my gosh!! Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS!!! 🎉 That is a huge accomplishment and I’m so proud of you! 💞 Also, I’m always so happy to hear from you so I’m glad we will hopefully have more opportunities to chat and catch up now!

And listen, I promise there’s no need to panic! You’re going to figure things out and be just fine! I know I personally had the same fears after I graduated high school; but then over the time following that was when I truly discovered who I am and who I wanted to be. College was a lot of hard work but it was also a lot of fun and it helped me to come out of my shell after some really tough high school years and I’m so grateful for the life experience. That being said; the first thing you should definitely do is enjoy your summer!! Get out into the world and have fun and discover the things in life that make you most happy! You have so many great things that lie ahead and I have full faith that you will move forward and conquer everything thrown your way! 💕🤗

okay so i read your response and ive been trying to figure out how to tell you this without just dropping a bomb on you but i feel like there is no right way to tell you but anyway around early august i got into a really bad car accident and i had to spend a few days in the hospital and i lost my car. but im okay now and i have a new car. and thats not the only thing i did with my summer, i started college and we adopted a new dog from the shelter.

Oh Cam, i am so absolutely sorry to hear that! I’m happy to hear that you’re doing okay now, but I know how hard and completely devastating going through something like that is. I’m glad to know that you’ve gotten a new car and are picking yourself up from such a hard time. And I’m so proud to hear that you’ve started college and adopted a new dog! What kind of classes are you taking? And what is your new furbaby’s name? I hope your classes are going well so far! Thank you for letting me know what happened and how you’re doing. yes hello im back with another not theory. So™, in aou i personally think the ending scenes its kind of unfitting how everyone is joking around with each other before tony and thor leave. considering how the events of sokovia shape the events of the mcu from thereafter it doesnt really make sense to me? like later on in antman it says "who is to blame for sokovia" so i would personally have preferred a more somber closing to the movie than the jokes about mjolnir. thoughts?

OMG I love that you’ve started this off with a trademark!! I’m going to be honest, I’ve never really thought about this before but you bringing it up has really given me a lot of reason to and I really think the points you’re bringing up make a whole lot of sense. One of my absolute favorite things about Marvel is how they harness the ability to infuse bits of comedy into the films of the MCU. Some more than others of course but each film absolutely has its moments. However,  I have to totally agree with you in this instance and say that the comedic timing may have been off. I know that personally, anytime I watch AOU I am immediately heartbroken to the point of ugly crying when Pietro sacrifices himself and Wanda immediately feels the blow. Gets me every time!

And then you’re left with the sudden urge to catch your breath and you realize that Ultron is defeated and though Sokovia is “safe” now, they are left with a terrible causality rate that we become more and more aware of as the timeline in the MCU continues. So it is definitely kind of jarring to go from that to all of the Avengers back at the compound joking around about the Mjolnir and all smiling as Cap prepares to say Avengers…(assemble HAD TO FINISH IT). I mean if we even go ahead and compare the ending of AOU to Avengers: Infinity War that right there explains it all. Granted, IW hurt a HELL of a lot more because of the mass amount of deaths and destruction that we were faced with within the last 10 minutes of the film. But I think this is kind of what you’re point is ultimately saying…that film was left on the proper note and tonally matched the rest of the movie.

And herein lies my personal thoughts on why I think that is. I believe a lot of it has to do with the style differences of Joss Whedon and the Russo brothers. And more importantly, the writing difference between Whedon and Markus & McFeely. I mean don’t get me wrong, I LOVE The Avengers and though it’s an unpopular opinion, I do enjoy AOU too. But when you compare those movies to Captain America: Winter Solider, Civil War and Infinity War…the difference is astonishing. (In my opinion at least). I feel like Joss Whedon didn’t quite create enough depth with some of the characters as we see them now. Steve Rogers most notably. When Whedon was writing for him he made Cap fairly one dimensional as a God-fearing and righteous warrior for America who always stands on the moral high ground. Whereas when Markus & McFeely write him he tends to be more driven through emotion and is now Steve Rogers fighting under the mantle of Captain America Even if that means going against everything to fight for something he genuinely believes in and not caring for what society would consider moral or immoral. Which just makes him a more relatable character and person in general.

But I digress…I feel as though if I keep typing I’m going to get off track more than I already have! Long story short…I agree with you my friend!
