I have wanted to rebuild our mantle for 12 years and this past week I just decided to get it done after have no good reason not to. Wife happy! I picked up the granite this fall and with 3 hours of shop time this week, the new raised frame and cove molding went together. The stocking hangers are rosettes that I found @rejuvenation like 10 years ago. They have been in a drawer waiting for me to build this and are inset 1/8” into the mantle. Two coats of primer and 3 coats of @benjaminmoore Advance paint in Chantilly Lace white - may favorite trim paint. 8 months later the up-cycled corner cabinets are in and done.
