I’ve never really been a fan of 2011s. I’ve been aware of them, but they’ve always been on the periphery for me. Even when the Staccatos came out and they started taking off, they never really caught my interest. I thought they were crazy expensive for what they were, and they don’t have a standardized magazine and you have to tune mags for them to work and in my mind, I delegated them as something only for competition.

Recently, after talking with @mikes-place and @wearestillflying about the 2011s, I started coming around. Then I watched a 1911Syndicate video on the Fowler Vanta9, and I was hooked.

I can’t say what exactly about the Fowler makes me want it, especially considering it’s $4,000, but watching that video and then a video from Chris Costa on it and that just made it worse.

That was then compounded by the Alchemy Custom Weaponry Quantico Hicap

Again, a custom gun that is way too expensive for me but man. I need to hit lotto.
