I can't believe I got to watch the official beginning of the 17 Right Here World Tour!! AHHHH! Though it was online, I genuinely had such an amazing time! Where do I even start, omg! First of all, I need to thank Seventeen and their staff for the perfect setlist. Like, fuck, I can't believe they performed ASH and IF you leave me. Not to mention, they performed Fear as well as Fearless, and I am currently dying. Imagine my utter shock when the tour starts with Wonwoo's iconic "neo nae giyeokae jiweoya dwae, i'm poison." Like, OMFG, thank you so much, Seventeen and crew 😭🫶🏻! Speaking of which, they all were hitting so hard this concert?! Like, bro, Wonwoo was bias wrecking me like crazy and Cheol?! His two-toned hair?! OMG! And of course, Chan was hitting different as always. I think I screamed every time he came on screen, lmfao. I still can't believe I got to hear Seungkwan and Chan sing their iconic parts in ASH live, oh lawd. And the new songs?! They're all so good, omfg! Water is so damn hot! And don't even get me started on Rain! I loved that song since the track samplers, and I can't even believe it's a pfu song since pfu is my favourite Seventeen unit! I literally won in life!! And Candy is such a sweet song, just like the name! All in all, I loved the unit performances! Also, tell me how these men can joke about a literal fire on stage 😭? Like, that was definitely NOT on my bingo for 2024. But I loved how they remained positive, though 😭. Also, I love the surprises in the setlist, lmao! Playing the HOT instrumental only to actually sing ASH and playing the Circles instrumental only for them to sing Snapshoot. They LOVE playing with our emotions, don't they? 😭 God, even their VCRs were making me emotional 😭. Also, I can't believe they sang March again! That is literally my favourite song off of FTS!! 😭 I LOVED IT!! And then they decided to "end" the concert with IF you leave me and the drone show. But of course, is it even a Seventeen concert without the infinite Aju Nice? NOPE! I am so fucking sore because of all the jumping, lmao! And the Carats that sang the high note all did so good! Also, apparently, Jeonghan had gone to see the concert using his military off days?? That made me so emotional, omg they love each other so much 😭. The way they constantly talked about Jun and Jeonghan, awww, I wish they could've been there 😭. But, oh well. I literally loved everything about this concert like I know they keep getting better, but this concert is literally their best so far! I loved it so much! Thank you again, my Seventeen 🩷🩵.

K-pop icon SEVENTEEN will return with their highly anticipated 12th Mini Album SPILL THE FEELS on October 14.

Today, SEVENTEEN revealed the mysterious title of the upcoming album through a short teaser clip featuring an anagram where the phrase ‘I FELT HELPLESS’ transforms into ‘SPILL THE FEELS,’ hinting at an emotional and introspective theme of overcoming helplessness by embracing vulnerability and spilling out honest feelings. This signals another album that continues SEVENTEEN’s long-standing mission of spreading positivity and hope through their music.

Prior to the title reveal, the teaser revealed on September 13 sparked numerous speculations among fans after a scene set in a dark, eerie subway station ended with the scrambled letters of ‘I FELT HELPLESS’ displayed on a billboard, leaving the meaning shrouded in mystery.

The K-pop icon also dropped a series of concept photos between the teasers, capturing the members submerged in water with their eyes closed, evoking a sense of helplessness and loneliness. Other photos show the members gazing into the camera, their faces conveying deep, meaningful expressions that exude a sense of tranquillity.

The announcement of their 12th Mini Album follows the group’s history-making performance as the first K-pop headliner at Lollapalooza Berlin. SEVENTEEN will soon hit the stage again with their 'RIGHT HERE' world tour, kicking off on October 12 in Korea, and continuing through the U.S., Japan, and across Asia.

2019 ep 5 Caratland Behind - Solely for DK and Jeonghan's recording of BRING IT. Jeonghan's lil "tu~rn left" was so cute but I was totally blown away by DK's angry rap. So much 'tude, possibly fiercer than the original. :0

2019 ep 17-18 Karaoke Escape Room - The moment Hoshi is dramatically drawing out the last lyrics to some random old song that they don't know and the 100 points shows up on screen and everyone absolutely loses their shit. Also, the members being relatable AF because they can't do math.

2020 ep 5-6 Past Life Destiny - Where do I even start? DK full on grinding the floor and getting up close and personal with the camera during his intro dance. JiHan's chaotic reenactment of a scene from "I'm Sorry I Love You" where Shua throws himself out of the car (not scripted). All the SeokSoon drama. As a bonus, Seungkwan sang DBSK's Hug while DK was choosing his partner and I squealed!

2020 ep 9 Insomnia Zero - Birth of Wonwoo's iconic ~tasty~ and when I learned that Woozi has no chill.

2020 ep 21-22 Kartrider - "Booster! Booster! Booster! YAH! BOOSTER!" - Hoshi failing to get a booster, 2020

2020 ep 23-24 Seventeen's Got Talent - Seventeen is so good at adlib humor, they just take the concept and go hard. Too many amazing characters! My favorites were diva judge Boo, sloth rapper Hoshi, musical actor Jun, angry ballad singer DK, robot Shua, and of course "Jun" aka mischievous Minghao.

2020 ep 25-26 The8 and the Shadows - Minghao wanted to be the leader for a day and the GoSe team gave him what he wanted... kinda lol. Favorite moments include the impromptu "We Will Rock You", DK's sogo dance, Jeonghan casually throwing water at Shua, and Shua getting everyone to imitate the voodoo doll he threw on the floor multiple times.

2020 ep 33 Mousebusters - Not so much for the actual Mousebusters part but the orange and grape games they did after. Seventeen takes games EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.

2020 ep 40-41 Don't Lie II - Hoshi absolutely slayed this season of Don't Lie and he knows it. There's something so satisfying about seeing his chaotic thought process pan out to actually be correct.

2020 ep 44-45 TTT - I enjoy all of the TTTs but the focus on "hyperrealism" made this one even better because it seemed like the members were simultaneously more and less aware of the cameras and making content for the show. It had all of our favorite SVT pastimes - eating and drinking, badly played sports, games they've played a thousand times, and overly-enthusiastic karaoke.

2020 ep 46 Going Magazine - Minghao styled Hoshi sooooo well for the shoot, holy crap. Praise the denim crop top. And Mingyu was carrying this whole project so hard, this is when I first started to appreciate how hardworking and talented he is in other artistic ventures outside of just performing.

2021 ep 11 Ad Genius - Honestly too many meme-worthy moments to count, but my top are: Shua putting Shin Ramen in his hair, Jeonghan putting gochujang on his eyebrows, and Coups proposing to Dino with all kinds of products while Hoshi sings 2AM's "This Song" in the background.

2021 ep 24 Tribal Games - The Whispering in Silence game is probably my most rewatched Seventeen clip ever. Hoshi "epik"-ly screwing everything up makes me laugh every time.

2022 ep 37 How to Eat Rice - We must pay our respects to two members who threw away their idol image for this episode: 1) DK, the hungry rice monster, and 2) Shua, who poured a bucket of ice water over himself to prove that ramen tastes the best when you're cold. Double respects to Shua because he didn't even win after all of that lol.

2022 ep 50 GOING Radio Show - Dino going "look at my fit!" while Vernon is fighting for his life keeping his laughter in is one of the first clips I ever saw of Seventeen and it's still hilarious. The whole corner with Jeonghan and Dino learning English from Shua and Vernon was peak comedy.

Anyway, the two episodes that have been released so far have been really enjoyable! Lots of pun humor, member banter, and a surprise twist! I'm looking forward to Wednesdays now~

Seventeen: The K-pop Band Poised to Make History at UK Festival

The headline act on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage this yea is a K-pop boy band boasting 13 members, who sold over 10 million albums last year. Despite K-pop's global success, the UK has been slow to embrace the genre. Bands like BTS, Blackpink, Stray Kids, and Aespa have gained traction, often through collaborations with Western artists like Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, or Coldplay. However, Seventeen stands out as they don't do collaborations and uniquely write and produce their own material. Now, they are set to make history as the first K-pop act on Glastonbury's main stage. The significance of this milestone is not lost on them. “There's a great sense of responsibility,” says Choi Seungcheol, also known as the band leader S Coups. “We’ll keep coming back to that feeling and do our best to prepare, so that we can blow everybody away… Not just our fans, but every other member of the audience.” This year, Glastonbury is moving further from its rock roots, reflecting evolving audience tastes. The Pyramid Stage will also feature Afrobeat icons Burna Boy and Ayra Starr, while pop star Dua Lipa and R&B sensation SZA will headline. Seventeen's performance is scheduled for Friday afternoon, a stark contrast to their usual late-night sets in Asia, but S Coups remains unfazed. “The time of day doesn't really matter to us,” he says. “It's actually even better that we’ll be performing in the afternoon because the audience can see us better under sunlight.” Their music, known for its upbeat and positive vibes, includes hits like "Shining Diamond" and "Very Nice," reminding fans that pop can be fun. Seventeen's journey began in the basement of South Korean entertainment company Pledis, where members endured a long and grueling apprenticeship lasting four to five years. Rapper Jeon Won-woo, known to fans as Wonwoo, was one of the first recruits in 2013, surviving multiple rounds of auditions documented in the online series Seventeen TV. The band faced a significant turning point during an eight-month hiatus when three members were replaced. S Coups recalls, “Our deal was pushed back a little and Woozi, one of our members, thought we could debut earlier than planned if we made our own music.” Woozi, a classically-trained musician, co-wrote and produced most of their songs, inspiring other members to learn songwriting and lyric-making. “Being engaged in our creative process goes a long way towards making our music more authentic. We take great pride in it,” says S Coups. Despite the intense training and initial struggles, Seventeen's debut EP, "17 Carat," was released in May 2016. The group, consisting of S Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino, is divided into vocal, hip-hop, and dance teams. Their name represents this tripartite setup: 13 people + 3 units + 1 band = 17. S Coups, the oldest member and leader, approaches his role with humility. “I try to listen to what every member has to say and have everybody aligned on the same path,” he says. “My goal is to make sure we can last as long as possible, so we can make as much music as possible.” Woozi oversees music production, and Hoshi leads choreography, while each member contributes uniquely to the band’s dynamic. Seventeen's hard work and dedication have paid off. Their sound has evolved from the pop of "Adore U" to the broody EDM of "Don't Wanna Cry" and the genre-hopping exuberance of "Left & Right." Their recent mini-album "FML" includes the introspective title track and the upbeat celebration "Super." "I'm getting so numb to this life that it feels like I'm shrinking away,” sang The8, reflecting on the band's mindset during its creation. "But when we honestly, openly talk about our feelings, it really helps to get rid of the negativity," says Wonwoo. Seventeen's success is evident with "FML" being the biggest-selling record of 2023, selling over 6.3 million copies.
