I am very happy for BIGBANGs 13 Anniversary, I knew I was also going to somehow feel annoyed by it. As someone who has supported The 5 of them for 8 years. I hate how delusional the fandom is totally ignoring and forgetting on purpose that Seungri is gone. They are so infused into their denial that they really think the K-media is lying to them. Assuming the 4 are totally okay and are welcoming him back. I hate seeing his name now and being included. Why do I have to be so alone I’m this fandom

I hear ya. Sometimes it feels like I'm sharing this fandom sandbox with a bunch of loonies. I know it hits like a punch to the gut, but with Seungri's retirement from the entertainment industry, Big Bang as 5 members didn't make it to year 13. Big Bang existed as 5 members for just over 12 and a half years. Big Bang has been 4 members for 5 months now. These are the cold hard facts. Denying and insisting on "5 forever" doesn't make these fans look committed... it makes them look like they should be committed -- if you know what I mean.

But there's no point in getting worked up over it. Just give it time. The remaining members will sort out these sad fans when they return. Maybe something like: "We're sorry about what happened with Seungri, but he made his decision... and we've made ours. He will not be coming back to Big Bang. But we (gesturing at the four who are present) aren't through with music. We want to keep doing this, with you, for many more years... so we hope you'll still support us and will cheer us on even though we're only four. Thank you for still thinking of us as Big Bang."

Just like GD's time capsule message to VIPs in 2021. Those of us who've come to terms with the fact of Seungri's departure will take the announcement in stride. OT5ers in denial, however, will be left with no choice but to pick up the pieces of their broken hearts all over again. They can plug their ears and pretend Big Bang's youngest never left, but the clock is counting down. Reality is coming for them. They can't hold it off forever.
