A/N: here's my justin foley fanfiction, i hope you'll like it!
CHAPTER ONE: "When dark meets the light"
Tumblr media
It was a sunny day in Evergreen. Liberty High students started a new school year. Among them is Justin Foley, whose life has slowly taken to be colorful since Clay's parents adopted him. You might think that everything will be fine now. You are wrong. Justin Foley is still surrounded by darkness. The darkness was so great that it slowly covered his heart, and Justin every day stopped knowing what love is and how to love another person.
What is love? Something that should makes our heart happy, and Justin had a different opinion. He thought that no one would be able to love him, that no one would be able to accept that he is a fucking junkie. His life revolved only around heroin. He promised to Jensen's family that he would change. He didn't want to let them down. He talked to Clay and Zach in the school corridor, leaning against his locker. He looked happy, but it was just a mask he put on, so that nobody would see his suffering. Justin was absorbed in listening to what Zach did during the summer. He paid no attention to anything except Zach's story.
And then she appeared. She crossed the threshold of the building, and a delicate draft caused by the open door blew her hair. Dressed in a simple floral dress, she walked down the school corridor. A thought in head prompted Justin to look that way. He saw her. He saw her graceful movements, and his heart began to beat as if it was about to jump out of his chest. Zach laughed at his friend's reaction to the mysterious girl. Clay sighed, instructing him not to get into relationships so easily this time because he had to focus on himself.
What did Justin Foley do? He didn't care at all about his brother's words and approached the girl, picking up her things from the floor when she bumped into one of the high school students. He waited until she looked at him. He waited until she noticed that he is interested in her. It happened. She looked at him. Justin couldn't look away from her. Up close, she was even more beautiful. She looked like like a goddess. "Mysterious girl, I want to know your name. I want to know every bit of you" he thought as the girl smiled at him.
"You must be a little more prudent. Otherwise, everyone will be lying down at the corridor." He laughed a little, hoping that it will also improve her mood a little bit. "I'm Justin. Justin Foley, and you? You must be new here, right?"
The new girl seemed to be apparently interested in Justin. She stared at him for a long moment.
"I'm Stella Mitchell, nice to meet you. Yes, I moved to Evergreen a few days ago" she told her new friend.
Justin Foley smiled slightly.
"In case you need help or something..." he scratched his neck. - "I'm here."
Clay suddenly interrupted them.
"Man, are you going to pick up some defenseless girl? You barely finish last class, so you have to focus on studying." he said and slightly pushing Justin away from Stella, that they could go to class.
"SEE YOU LATER, STELLA MITCHELL" Justin screamed to Stella and waved lightly at her.
As it turned around later, Justin and Stella were in one group at all lessons, which makes our footballer happy.  He devoted his attention only to her, only she mattered to him. He stared at her and focused on her every move. He stared as she touched her beautiful and long brown hair. He stared while she was focused on listening to the teacher and he stared as she reading a note from the book. He was fascinated in her, Clay and Zach were surprised that Justin Foley focused on one person for the first time. Why for the first time? You know Justin, and you know perfectly well that he usually preferred one-night stands.  He did this because he never knew what love was. He didn't fell it because of his parents, who didn't show him what real love is.  I will not call Justin emotionless, because he's not. I will simply call him a man who doesn't know how to love.
Now you probably think it will the same with Stella. Well now, you're wrong again. Clay perfectly noticed the light in Justin's eyes and his fascination. Clay knew that Stella could be the one who would change Justin's life.
But Justin didn't know yet what Stella is hiding, he didn't know that her heart was in disarray. And how I know it? She lived next to me with her parents and sometimes I have opportunity to hear their conversations in the garden. I also heard the painful one.
They talked about someone like Katie, and as it turned out later, she was Stella's little sister. She died in a car accident when she returned from a ballet school with her best friend and her parents. They also died. A terribly painful tragedy.
However, if we looked at it more closely, we could see that Stella and Justin have one thing in common. Ache. Terrible ache that hurts their hearts. Justin lost his biological mother, and Stella lost her sister.
Now let's get back to Justin. Let's focus on how devoted he becomes to Stella. Will he become addicted to her as much as he is addicted to heroin? He doesn't even focus on the lesson, his heart goes crazy and his body shudders. He doesn't even focus on what's going on about him.  Can we call him romantic with a broken heart? Romantic with hidden pain? Of course we can, so from now on Justin Foley will be called a suffering romantic.
I think that is enough of story for now. You'll find out the rest soon.

You waited anxiously as Mrs Jensen talked to the probation officer at the info point. You were in juvenile prison along with Clay and his mother, trying to visit Justin.
After he had gotten arrested yesterday you had spent the night crying in your bed, guilt eating you up inside. You should have known. You should have known he would get into prison if he talked. You could have stopped him. You bet Bryce would have gotten arrested even if he hadn’t testified.
That was the only satisfaction you felt in the past weeks. That and the fact you had gotten back closer to Scott. Though even that went down the drain when Justin and you shared an almost-kiss, complicating everything.
Sighing, you shook your head. Now was not the time.
“Only two of you can visit and only one visitation is allowed per day,” the officer said just as you tuned back into the conversation.
“That’s fine,” Mrs Jensen replied, taking the visit card.
“I have to see him,” you immediately demanded, not leaving any room to answer.
“That’s fine,” Mrs Jensen repeated with a welcoming smile, “You and Clay get in and talk to him. And tell him, that we’ll try our best to get him out as soon as possible from me.”
“Alright, Mom,” Clay said and you two followed the officer. Walking down the halls, you took in the bleak atmosphere and shivered, not from the cold. And Justin had to stay here for who knows how long.
The officer stopped in front of one of the many white doors with the number 20 on it. Unlocking the door, he held it open for you. “Another officer will get Mr Foley in soon. Just wait here.”
“Thanks.”
Wringing your hands, you paced around the room after the officer closed the door, leaving you alone with Clay for now.
“Relax, Y/N,” he said, pulling the chair next to him out, “Take a seat.”
“I can’t,” you rejected, a frown marring your features. You were too restless to sit still.
“It’s going to be fine. Juvie can’t be so bad,” Clay continued, “And he won’t be in here for long. You heard my mother.”
“Juvie can’t be so bad?” You asked incredulously, crossing your arms, “You clearly haven’t been talking to Sheri-”
Right then the door across from you opened up and in came the boy you had been waiting for. Freezing, you took a millisecond to take in his features before you jumped on him, hugging him fiercely.
“Woah, calm down,” Justin chuckled feebly, though wrapping his arms tightly around your waist as well.
“I missed you,” you mumbled.
“It was only a day.”
“Still,” you insisted, feeling his smile as he nuzzled your neck, hiding his face from the world for a second. “And I was scared of what would happen here.”
“Nothing’s going to happen here,” your best friend reassured, pulling back and you reluctantly loosened your hold on him.
“That’s what I said, too,” Clay chimed in and they greeted each other with a simple nod. You almost rolled your eyes, ‘Boys’. Can’t show their feelings.
“They already cut your hair short,” you noted and ran a hand through his shock of hair. He closed his eyes, leaning into your touch and your heart ached at how weak he looked at this moment.
“Common thing, they do it to all of them in juvie,” Clay smart-assed and you gave him a look.
“It’s really fine, Y/N,” Justin reassured, squeezing your waist and you searched his bright eyes before nodding with a sigh.
“How was the first night?” you asked, leading him towards the table to sit.
“Fine,” Justin recounted, “I got a creepy dude as a roommate. Creepy as in he doesn’t talk at all. But everything is better than Bryce, I guess.”
You all chuckled humourlessly, “That would have been something.”
“Don’t worry, Mrs Jensen said you will be out in no time,” you informed him, “She’s doing the best she can.”
“Good, tell her thanks from me,” Justin said, “I really appreciate it.”
You smiled, placing your hand on his to squeeze it in comfort. He turned his own around to intertwine your fingers and your heart skipped a beat, which confused you a little. Since when did this little move of your best friend make you feel all funny?
You inwardly shook your head again, trying to listen into the boys’ conversation. Clay talked about the blog for the case and how Justin’s and Bryce’s arrest had blown up the comment section.
“Some say you deserve it, but most want you out,” Clay summarised as Justin scrolled through the feed. You peeked over his side to take a look at the comments yourself.
“I hope you die a miserable death in juvie, you cowardly bastard,” you read, wincing. People never learn.
“I earned that, I guess,” Justin said, shoulders slouching. He dropped the phone on the table and pushed it back to Clay, leaning on his elbows as he ran a hand over his face tiredly. You rubbed his arm in comfort. “They’ll get over it. Quick to judge and quick to forget, that’s how people are.”
He smiled weakly, nodding and you wished you could more.
-
You were only able to spend little more time with Justin as the officer soon called you out. Thankfully, you were allowed to visit him every day, which you did.
Sometimes, Mrs Jensen would tag along, sometimes Clay, sometimes even Zach. But most of the time you went alone, making sure he was alright. He seemed alright at least but you felt like he wouldn’t tell you everything that was happening. Knowing what Sheri told you about juvie, you wondered if he was sugarcoating things to ease your worries.
“The food was actually pretty good today,” Justin recalled, “The cooking staff was in a good mood, I guess.”
You nodded, regarding him with sharp eyes. He glanced around in confusion, “What?”
“Are you telling the truth?” you asked, straight out.
“What? Of course, I am.”
“Because to me, it seems like you’re hiding stuff from me.”
“I’m not!”
You raised up an eyebrow. “Really, Y/N,” he pushed, holding his hand out over the table for you to take. You did and he ran his thumb softly over the back of your hand. “You have nothing to worry about. This is actually way better than being homeless.” You bit your lip, the thought of it was still painful.
“I still don’t get, why you didn’t come to me,” you almost whispered, not wanting to push this question on him now that he was suffering but not being able to contain yourself.
“I...you know the reason why I left now, Y/N...what I did to Jessica,” Justin explained slowly, “I couldn’t face anyone, especially not you...I guess I was too ashamed. And afraid.”
“Afraid of what?”
“Of you hating me?” Justin said, “I mean, don’t you at all?” You stayed silent, looking down at this hand as the memory of the day before the verdict surfaced again. How he had accused you of taking him in out of pity and passively judging him for his mistakes. Justin seemed to have the same in mind, letting go of your hand to wring his own together, “Listen,” he started nervously, “about that night...I...we...I didn’t really mean, what I said- the way I said it-”
“-but you think it,” you interrupted, “You think that I took you in out of pity. It’s not true, I took you in because you’re my best friend and I care about you. And yeah...I admit I was angry at you about what happened with Jessica, but I can tell how much you regret it. You already feel guilty enough and...who am I to judge anyway?”
Justin stared at you, nodding unsurely, “Okay...and about...the other thing that happened...?”
You shifted, avoiding his probing look, “Let’s talk about that when you’re out, okay? It can wait.”
Justin bit his lip, slowly nodding again. You guys stayed silent for a few minutes and you wondered how to break the awkward tension when he spoke up again, “Are you and Scott...back together?” he asked, hesitatingly glancing up to you, his eyes almost fearful.
“No...we haven’t been able to talk or see each other...with everything going on,” you answered truthfully. Justin sighed quietly to himself in relief. “That’s good.”
You raised an eyebrow at him and he coughed, “I mean...I don’t know what I mean.”
“Time is up,” the officer called out and you nodded at him. Standing up, your heart squeezed upon seeing him in the orange prison clothes with ‘juvenile’ printed on the back. You quickly hugged him as tightly as you could.
“Y/N, you’re crushing me,” Justin laughed, tickling your side so you were forced to let go.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” you said, bidding him goodbye. He nodded with a smile, tugging a strand of your hair back. “Take care.”
But you didn’t see him the next day. Nor the day after or the day after the day after.
“I’m sorry, Ms L/N, Mr Foley doesn’t wish to see you right now,” the probation officer said, a sympathetic look in his gaze. Clay shifted beside you uncomfortably, already having the visit card in hand.
“But why? I don’t understand,” you demanded to know, gripping the strap of your bag in a death grip, “Why can Clay go see him but I can’t?”
“He specifically asked not to let you through.”
You gaped at him in shock. “Okay, thank you,” you said numbly, sitting down on one of the chairs. How could he? Why would he do that?
“Mr Jensen, if you’ll follow me, please?”
Clay looked down at you with a pitying frown, “I’ll be back soon.”
Your chest burned at the rejection as you waited for Clay to get out. He was allowed to go in, but you weren’t? When the hell did they get so close and you got pushed away once again? First Jessica, now him. Anger bubbled inside you at Justin’s blatant disregard towards you. You were tempted to just barge into the room, already knowing the way from coming here every day for over three weeks, but one look at the buff officers around made you think twice.
Your phone dinged and you looked down to see Scott messaging you.
Scott (2:36 PM): Hey, how are you doing?
That’s all you’d been doing lately; texting. You met up once or twice to just hang out and maybe get closer again, but your thoughts preoccupied you too much to give him the attention he deserved, so you had opted for not meeting up until you sorted yourself out. If you had known it would take this long for Justin to get out you would have had already talked to him about the night before the verdict.
You (2:37 PM): Fine, I’m waiting for Clay to get out from meeting Justin rn.
Scott (2:37 PM): Why are you not with them?
You (2:37 PM): He doesn’t want to see me, I’ve been told.
You dropped your phone in your lap and looked up at the ceiling, blinking fast to stop the tears that welled up in frustration. Scott didn’t text you back after this and you were left mulling over what you could have possibly done wrong to Justin.
Clay got out after another twenty minutes, awkwardly walking over to you. You looked up at him wordlessly, your eyes questioning.
“He said he doesn’t want to see you for a while. You should come to visit a day or two before the trial,” he informed you quietly and your features constricted in pain.
“But why? I don’t get it,” you whispered, brokenly. Clay sighed deeply, unsure of what to say.
“...Let’s just get you home for now,” Clay suggested, “It will all get sorted out eventually.” You nodded, figuring he didn’t get an explanation from your idiotic best friend either and followed him to his car.
He dropped you off at home where you immediately fell down in your bed, tired from being sad. You were close to drifting off to sleep when the doorbell rang, causing you to groan out loud in annoyance.
“Not a single second where I can be left in peace,” you grumbled to yourself and opened the door, ready to yell at anyone who dared to disturb you at your sensitive moment.
The curse words got stuck in your throat though when you spotted Scott standing with his pearl white smile, in simple dark jeans and a grey, tight-fitted shirt.
“Hey Y/N,” he greeted almost shyly and your anger melted away immediately.
“Scott, hi,” you asked surprised, opening the door wider, “I didn’t expect you to come. Did we plan something?”
“Eh...no,” he said sheepishly, stepping inside, “I figured you could need some company.”
You didn’t need some company, you needed his company. Smiling warmly I closed the door behind him, “It’s greatly appreciated but how did you know, I wonder?”
“When you wrote that Justin didn’t want to see you I thought you would be hurt,” he explained, settling down on the couch. Your smile faded upon remembering the previous event and you sighed heavily, “Yeah, I don’t even know what that is about again,” you said, pain filling your voice.
Scott looked at you sympathetically, motioning for you to sit down next to him, “It’s like every time he wants to hide something he runs away like he doesn’t trust me at all. I wonder what it is this time.” You relaxed under his touch as he rubbed your back in comfort, leaning into it.
“He’s going to come around,” he reassured, “You guys never managed to stay away from each other for too long.”
You chuckled, nodding in agreement. The longest you and Justin had not talked was when he had run away.
“It still gets me frustrated even though I should be used to it by now,” you mumbled.
“You know what will help?”
“A tub of ice cream and the Hobbit movies?” you asked hopefully and he grinned, nodding. You squealed in excitement, not having done that for a while. It wasn’t fun doing it alone and the only one, who would go through with all three movies, was Scott.
The day took a good turn after that horrendous start and you couldn’t be grateful enough for Scott’s presence. He always managed to make you feel great no matter what. ‘Why did I ever break up with you?’ You wondered as you admired his features whilst he was absorbed in the scene where Bilbo met Smaug in the Lonely Mountain.
“If you keep staring that intensely I might go up in flames.” Oops, he wasn’t so absorbed then. You looked forward, pretending like you hadn’t stared at him and he chuckled, leaning back.
“Thank you for staying here with me,” you said softly, smiling slightly.
He smiled back, his white teeth almost blinding you. “Always, Y/N. You know I’m only a call away.” His phone buzzed then and you glanced down at the screen to see a message from ‘Baseball Kings’. The same group that had started all the dilemma in the first place.
Biting your lips, you refrained from saying anything. You had no right to judge him, he had proven more than enough on what side he was. If he was still in that group...then it was fine. You observed him frown slightly and swish the message away without reading it before he turned back to you.
“So, do you think Justin will get released soon?” he started up a conversation and you two started contemplating together until the late evening. In the end, you both had no clue and decided to just see what would happen.
By the time you bid each other goodbye, it was already dark outside. You gave him a slight kiss on the cheek, blushing deeply as if it had been the first time. ‘Grow up, Y/N. He’s already seen you naked,’ you scolded yourself as you slowly closed the door on his beaming face, giggling to yourself.
This day had definitely turned out for the better.
-
You paced back and forth in the waiting room of juvenile.
It had been almost an entire month since you had seen Justin. Almost an entire month he had refused to see you and you were on the verge of losing your mind. Neither Clay nor Mrs Jensen or Mr Jensen told you why he had decided to close himself off once again. You had your theories, but none of them seemed valid enough, a reason enough to be rejected like that.
But now, one day before the trial he had finally agreed on seeing you so this was why you were where you were right now.
“Ms. L/N?” the officer called out and you raced towards him eagerly. He gave you the visit card and pointed to the hallway, “ Mr Foley is waiting for you.”
Your heart unexpectedly raced at the words and you blamed it on not having seen him for so long. Although your heart had also raced back when you saw him in school for the first time after his disappearance, it was more out of anger that time and now...you couldn’t tell.
A guard opened the door for you, revealing the same room that you had used to preoccupy on the first days of his arrest.
Thanking him quietly, you walked in only to stop dead in your tracks when you spotted your best friend standing in the middle of the room. It wasn’t his mere sight that made you halt your steps but more what had been added to his features; bruises. A lot of bruises.
More than Meth Seth had ever given him. And you knew now why he had tried to keep you away. Why he had kept himself hidden the whole time.
Tears filled your eyes and Justin sighed, “It’s fine really, Y/N.”
Ignoring his words you rushed over, crushing him into a hug. He chuckled slightly, wrapping his arms around you as well and the familiarity of it only made you cry a lot harder. You had missed him dearly.
“You stupid, idiotic piece of shit,” you cursed him weakly, rubbing your eyes against his shoulder to dry them.
“Sorry?” he apologised.
“Why do you always do this?” you asked in a broken voice, “Why do you always try to hide everything bad?”
“Because you will just take it too hard,” Justin replied quietly, nuzzling your hair, “You always take everything to heart.”
“When it comes to you, yes,” you huffed, “You’re my best friend after all.”
Justin stayed silent, running his hand through your hair and calming you down effectively that way.
“So this is why you refused to let me see you?” you clarified, still not letting go of him as you blankly looked at the wall behind him. You felt him nod into your shoulder and your heart ached at how much he must have suffered all this time whilst you were cursing him 24/7 for not letting you see him. “Who is doing this to you?”
“Just some idiots, nothing personal,” he said with a shrug, “They like to pick on the new ones, I’ve been told.”
You took a shaky breath before pulling away slightly to take in his features again. His left eye was surrounded by a dark shade of purple and you wondered since when he was able to open it again. There was a cut on his right cheek and a slight bruise on his jawline. You had the sudden urge to kiss each spot as if it would take away the pain like mothers fooled their kids into believing.
Looking into his sea blue-green eyes you admired the slight fire that was still in them and wondered how he had not broken down, yet. Besides the time he had run away.
“You need to stop doing this,” you whispered, feeling like you should be quiet in this serene atmosphere.
He raised an eyebrow questioningly.
“You need to stop hiding from me,” you explained, touching the cut on his cheek slightly with your fingertips. He winced before leaning into your touch like he always did, making your heart melt and speed up at the same time. What was he doing to you?
“Okay,” he whispered, placing his forehead against yours and your eyes fluttered closed, breathing him in. Was this still normal for a platonic best friendship?
“I feel like you’re just saying okay to please me but you will do it again,” you complained and he laughed.
“Maybe,” he said with an impish smile that deepened his dimple and you poked your finger in it, “Will you please stop crying now?” he requested a bit desperately and only then did you realise the tears were still flowing and he raised his hands to your cheeks to gently wipe them away.
“Can’t,” you sniffed and he sighed in mock-exasperation.
“What to do with this emotional Y/N,” he pondered, “Normally I would offer a tub of ice-cream but that’s not possible now, I’m afraid.”
“I don’t need anything but my best friend, you jerk,” you said, punching his chest slightly before your rested your head against it. Justin engulfed you back into a hug, squeezing you tightly and you let out a content sigh, feeling safe and secure even though you were in juvenile.
“Now, tell me: How bad are things for real here?” you requested, tensing in anticipation.
“Y/N...”
“The scale is 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst.”
“...9,5.” You sucked in a sharp breath as your head snapped back up. That bad?? You knew it was bad but if even Justin was admitting it to you it must have been way worse than your imagination.
You stared at him in sheer devastation as he swallowed tightly, the pain in his beautiful eyes evidence on what he had endured the past weeks. “You get used to it at some point,” he tried to brush it off casually but he knew he failed when a new set of tears came rushing down your cheeks. You felt a bit pathetic at the number of times you had been crying but you couldn’t help it given the situation.
“I don’t want you to get back in there,” you mumbled, wrapping him tightly in your arms.
“I might get out of here tomorrow after the trial,” he mused, “Bryce’s folk won’t let him lose this case and if he gets off, I should, too.”
You nodded, feeling relieved even though the prospect of that rapist being set free without any jail time repulsed you immensely. The law system was sick sometimes.
“Five more minutes,” the officer called from behind the door and you tightened your grip around Justin.
“Y/N, you need to let go,” Justin said, trying to gently pry you off but you shook your head.
“He said five more minutes,” you said, your tone muffled as you had your head nuzzled into his shoulder, breathing him in. He smelled mostly of dirt and grease but there was still a slight hint of his own smell and you were desperately trying to take it in.
“I promise we’ll see each other tomorrow,” he said and you looked up into his eyes, narrowing your own.
“You’ve broken too many promises by now. I don’t trust you,” you said and he winced slightly.
“Can’t blame you for that,” he muttered, “How about I swear it then?”
You sighed, “Better than nothing, I guess.”
“Alright. Y/N, I solemnly swear that we’ll see each other tomorrow.”
“Okay, and if you break it I get to knee you in the bal-” you were cut off when he suddenly leaned and kissed you right on the lips. You gasped in surprise and he took the opportunity to deepen his approach, placing a hand on your neck to pull you closer. For a second, you were frozen, not knowing what to do but you almost moaned when he ran his tongue over your bottom lip, asking for entrance that you granted. You kissed him back, sighing contently and feeling a kind of freedom you had never felt before; like you had been unable to breathe and this was the first gulp of air you had gotten after a long time. Your hands glided upwards, your fingers tangling into his hair, causing a deep growl from Justin as he grasped your hips tightly, pulling you impossibly close.
He reluctantly pulled away when he heard the door open, pulling you out of a daze as you both breathed raggedly into each other.
“What was that for?” you gasped, still slightly numb as you almost drowned in his smiling blue eyes that shone with newfound energy.
“Sealing the deal with a kiss.”

Tell Me You Love Me // Part One
So I decided to make my first request a series! I just have so many ideas it would just be to long to make into one piece. I’m sorry if it sucks. I usually just repost other peoples content, but I am trying something new out. Let me know what you think and Part Two of this will be up shortly. I just didn’t want to much information to be put into one part.
Warnings: Cursing, Smut, Talks about Sexual & Physical Abuse, & Talks about Suicide.
Tumblr media
As I walk through the halls I hear my name being called from each end of it.
“Loved your solo during halftime Riley!” Some freshman screamed in my face.
“Oh! Thank you so much. I have been working on it for weeks.” I respond.
“Well you are amazing!”
“Thank you!” I smile at the young girl and make my way to my locker. As I walk up I see my boyfriend Bryce waiting for me. I sigh to myself and work up a smile while I get closer to him.
“Hey babe.” He says as while his hands somehow end up on my ass cheeks.
“Hey.”
“That’s all your going to say is hey? No kiss or anything?” He snarls as he squeezes my ass harder and forces his lips on mine.
“Riley!” Thank god. The voice of my best friend, Jeff Atkins. I pull away from Bryce. I turn to see Monty, Justin, Alex, and Jess following closely behind Jeff.
“Hey guys!”
“You were amazing! Did you write that song?” Jess asks.
“Yeah. I did actually.”
“Where did you learn to sing like that?” Monty says jumping into the conversation.
“I jus-“
“Guys. Cool it. She was okay, I mean let’s face it. She’s done better.” Bryce spits out. I tighten my hands on the collar of his shirt biting on my lip so hard that it could bleed, but it isn’t worth fighting with him anyway. It never leads to anything good so I just take a deep breath and let go.
“You know what guys. I have a lot of homework to do. I will catch you all later.” I say making my way from the group. I see Justin push Bryce’s shoulder.
“Come on man.” He says sourly looking at me with sorry eyes.
“What?!” I hear Bryce fight back as I start to make my way to the parking lot. I am approaching my car when I hear footsteps coming up behind me. I already know who it is so I just continue walking.
“Riley he’s an ass. Why do you continue to put up with it?”
“Jeff you know why.”
“It’s stupid.”
“It’s my only way into getting a record deal.”
I feel him grab my shoulder to turn me around to face him and I instantly yelp in pain.
“Woah. You okay?”
“Yeah. I fell down the stairs last night. No big deal.” I look up to see him frowning.
“Can I see? I know a bit about shoulder injuries being a baseball player and all?”
“Uhh. Jeff, really. It’s fine. It’s not that big of a deal.”
“You sure, because I can drive you home real quick before practice and grab one of my special ice packs from my house.” I smile a bit at his friendliness. Classic Jeff. Not one uncaring bone in his body. Jeff has been my neighbor for as long as I can remember, but we didn’t really become friends until last year.
“I will text you and let you know Atkins.” I say walking away to my car.
“Catch you later Edwards.” He says slowing backing away from me with that famous smirk on his face. God. That is what he is; a God. I reach into the front pocket of my backpack for my keys, unlock my car, and get in the drivers seat. I instantly take a deep breath, start up my car, make my way out of the parking lot, and down the street I go. I always get lost in my thoughts when I am driving. Some say it isn’t safe, but I say it is the only time out of my day where I can take 10 minutes for me. To be me.
I never thought being popular would be so exhausting, but I also never thought I would be popular. Wasn’t until last year when I decided to go to a high school party all by myself because I no longer had any friends. All my friends either graduated or killed themselves on me. I miss her. Hannah Baker was the only person on this planet that knew me. Riley. Not Riley Edwards.

"𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂" - 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘆
A/N: I needed to read something where justin is happy at the prom and having a great time with his friends
prompt: "I want to dance all night with you", "Are you ready, my lady?"
summary: both of you are incredibly and having a wonderful time together
warnings: i think no one, just happy words
words count: 461
Tumblr media
Prom day.
Everyone is incredibly excited and so are you. You are happy to spend this special day with your friends and your boyfriend.
You have a good relationship with Justin. The boy goes to therapy and fights his addiction, and your love blooms. Your mom helps you put on the necklace when you both hear the bell sound. You know perfectly well who brings to your home. It's him, Justin Foley.
You happily open the door while smoothing the fabric of your navy blue dress.
He stands at the doorstep and gives you that damn smile that could steal the hearts of a dozen or even millions of other girls in the world. He holds his hand out to you.
"Are you ready, my lady?"  he asks.
He's looking closely at you and your body in this beautiful navy blue dress.
A white suit with black inserts perfectly emphasizes his beauty. You put your hand on his and he gives it a little kiss.
"I promise I'll bring your daughter home safely."  he looks at your mother and smiles at her.
You get in Clay's car and drive away from your house. You stop in front of the ballroom where the prom will be held. You are incredibly excited and when you are inside you immediately say hello to the rest of your friends.
"I knew this dress was a good choice, because you look stunning"  says Jessica.
You all are having a great time, don't worry about anything, and the problems that were on your mind disappear for the moment. You talk to Jessica and Ani about the preparation for the graduation day and your speeches as Foley approaches you.
"Shall we dance?" he asks, bowing before you like a prince before a princess.
You dreamed of dancing with him. After all, he's the love of your life, and no one else matteres to you. You nod your head and you both go to the center of the ballroom. Tony plays "The Night We Met" and Justin's hands wrap around your waist. You put your hands around his neck.
"I love you, Y/N. You are my whole world" he says, staring into your eyes.
"I love you and only you" you answer as you sway to the music.
He pushes a lock of your hair that has fallen gently over your face and he smiles. You see a lot of love to you in his beautiful eyes. He's your Prince Charming and you are his Cinderella.
"I want to dance with you all night" you whisper, leaning your head against his chest. Justin rests his head against yours and cuddles you up against him.
"You are my happiness, my sunshine on rainy days" he says, stroking your head.

Imagine Zach losing at beer pong
Tumblr media
Disclaimer : GIF not mine. Found on Pinterest. A/N: Getting my inspiration back after many months.
Zach lost another round of beer pong against the great Jeff Atkins which made you laugh uncontrollably.
“I thought you were my friend.” He groaned.
“I am. But it is my duty,” you playfully tapped on his chest with your free hand. “as a friend, to tell you that you suck at this.”

BABIES MAKIN’ BABIES | Jeff Atkins
Requested by anon: Hiiiii 13 reasons why, Jeff Atkins... where you guys are still in high school and your pregnant and when you find out you ignore him for some days and then the fluff at the end PLEASE!!
Pairing : Jeff Atkins x Reader
Word count: 1.4k words.
A/N: Slowly building back my inspiration. Bear with me xX
Tumblr media
It started one morning when you woke up feeling like you had the most terrible hangover of all your existence without even drinking the night before. You were nauseous and liable to throw up at the lightest smell of food or any scent for that matter, even your shampoo made you feel sick. Maybe you shouldn’t have had that much pizza with your siblings the night before. “Good morning beautiful.” Jeff wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you against him but the moment his cologne - which you normally adored - hit your nose, you felt instantly sick.
“Morning” You responded trying not to inhale his scent too much and pushed yourself away from him. You never did that.
He frowned. “You good?”
“I agreed on pizza night with Tara and Josh and now my stomach is making me pay for it.” Or so you thought. By lunchtime, you were starving. You realized it when you finished your lunch entirely and still went for your favorite snack as you were heading to your first afternoon class.
But the sickness you thought was gone came back the next morning and the morning after and the morning after. You couldn’t continue blaming the poor pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks you ate days ago. “Have you considered being pregnant?” Jessica said when you got out of the bathroom after emptying your stomach. The smell of Montgomery’s sandwich, a basic cheese and ham with mayo, made you feel sick and you rushed to the nearest bathroom, followed by Jessica who was seriously starting to worry about your condition.
“I am on the pill.”
She raised her eyebrows. “And?”
“And it’s impossible for me to be pregnant.”
“It’s only ninety-nine percent effective at preventing pregnancy.”
How unlucky you would be to be the one percent remaining of this popular statistic? But you couldn’t be pregnant. Not now. You pushed the idea away from your thoughts and Jessica to the side as you stormed out of the bathroom. You got back to your seat between your boyfriend and Monty who was still slowly eating his sandwich. It triggered your stomach but you forced yourself not to let the sickness take over. “You alright baby?”
You nodded, forcing a smile on your lips. No, you were far from being alright but you couldn’t just tell him that your friend just planted the idea in your brain that you might be pregnant and that was the reason why you were so sick lately.
Are you upset ?
You weren’t upset. You were mortified at the simple thought that what she said could potentially be true.
Of course not
The three dots were quick to appear on your screen.
Have you taken a test ?
No, I’m scared
Do you have one ?
You had three sitting in your bathroom counter for hours. You got them from the Baker’s pharmacy after school. You didn’t think about it, you grabbed them with the hazelnut chocolate bars you were craving since your bio class this morning. Hannah didn’t make a comment on it. Jessica told her what happened while she was in the library with Clay. She just gave you a comforting smile before you left the shop. You sat your phone on the counter next to the first test you dared to take. Three minutes seemed incredibly long all of a sudden when in other circumstances they seemed so quick. Jessica didn’t send another message when you didn’t respond to the previous one. She must have figured what was going on. She waited with you, looking at the screen of her phone, just as anxious and scared as you were sitting on the closed toilet seat, nervously pulling your shirt’s sleeves over your hands.
The alarm went off and you jumped on your feet, turning it off and purposely avoiding eye contact with the white and blue test next to it as if by doing this something was going to miraculously change the unavoidable truth. But your mind was too curious to know that you caught the single word written on the small screen of the stick with your peripheral vision. Pregnant. Your knees almost gave up on you and you had to steady yourself by holding the edge of the white and grey countertop. “(Y/N/N)?” There was a knock on your bedroom door that you didn’t hear, you only heard the one on your bathroom door. “Honey, are you alright?”
“Yeah mom, I’m fine.”
“Dinner’s ready, we’re waiting for you.”
“I’ll be down in a minute.” You tried your best to sound normal. And your mother bought it. You glanced down at the test and the word was still the same. Pregnant.
During dinner, you didn’t speak much, pushing and dragging your food on your plate. Not only you weren’t hungry but the smell triggered your stomach. You found some stupid excuse about upcoming tests and college admissions to leave before everybody was done. Then you locked yourself in your room, grabbing the two remains tests, ready to dismantle the result of the first one but it only slapped you harder when they were all positive. You felt sick again. Pregnancy was meant to be a happy time. But you were terrified to the point that when Jeff tried to call you later that evening, you ignored him. You couldn’t talk to him, not right now. You needed to process the news first.
The next day - and the days after - you pretended being sick and asked to stay home which your parents didn’t really argue with. You didn’t respond to any of Jeff’s calls or messages and when he showed up to your house, you pretended to be asleep so you didn’t have to face him.
But when Monday came, there weren’t many options left for you and you had to go to school. You had to face Jeff and tell him everything. “What’s the silent treatment for?”
Jeff had his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the locker next to yours. “There’s no silence treatment, J.” You avoided the eye contact as much as you could.
“Then why have you been ignoring me for days?” He slammed your locker shut and stepped in front of you, forcing you to look at him. “Don’t you dare tell me there is nothing because obviously there is and you are hiding it from me, (Y/N)”
You didn’t have time to react that tears filled your eyes. Damn hormones. The smallest things made you emotional. “We need to talk but not here.” Silence was heavy in the car as Jeff speed through Evergreen’s streets. You thought about a million ways to tell him you were carrying his child but the very moment you were seated in front of him, holding the hold chocolate cups tightly between your hands, it felt like you had forgotten how to speak. Jeff cleared his throat, getting slightly annoyed by the silence. You took a deep breath and looked up. “I am pregnant.” You never said the words out loud, thought them but never said them to anybody. “I found out last week but I didn’t know how to tell you… ” Now it was his turn to remain silent, not knowing what to say. “Jeff please say something”
He didn’t. He wanted to but he couldn’t seem to find the right words. Just like you, it hit him like a brick wall but unlike you, he felt happy. So happy that when he caught your gaze, he started crying. “I really thought you wanted to break up with me, (Y/N/N).”
“Oh my God, Jeff.” Now it was the two of you crying. “I would never even think about it.”
Jeff moved to sit by your side and pulled you against him, pressing a kiss to your temple. “I’m sorry I yelled at you earlier, I didn’t mean to baby.” He mumbled.
“You were pretty intimidating.” Jeff chuckled at your words. How did you manage to crack a joke in the middle of an emotional moment?
When you looked at him, he had a soft smile plastered on his lips and he moved his hand to push away the rest from your face. “We’re having a baby, uh?” You just nodded and smiled before resting your head against his chest.
“You think we can handle a baby?”
“We’ll manage, my love.” He responded already thinking about your future life. The three of you.

Don’t mess with her boyfriend | Montgomery de la Cruz
Requested by anon (a while ago) : You & your blog are both amazing I have so much love❤️ could u pretty pls do a Monty x reader, her ex comes back to Liberty and approaches her trying to get back together totally ignoring Monty’s presence, obviously Monty gets annoyed and tells him to get lost, her ex starts dissing Monty.. let’s just say she’s a feisty one and nobody messes with her baby EVER, so she starts defending him and maybe even throws in a slap lol but that’s your call to make.. xx
Word count : 1.1k words.
Tumblr media
As you walked inside the crowded hall of Liberty, you felt some students weirdly stare at you but you just ignored it and walked over to your locker to get your books out for the day. You had a lot to do this week including convincing your parents to let you go to Jessica’s party on Friday. You were so deep in your thoughts until somebody pulled you out of them.  “Hey babygirl” You smiled and leaned back until your back gently collided with your boyfriend’s chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist. “I missed you.” He whispered to your ear before kissing your cheek. You turned around, grabbing the front of his shirt to steady yourself and kissed him, soft and slow.
“De la Cruz, (Y/L/N), lay it off!” Kevin Porter shouted from across the hall, dragging the attention of most students around on you. Nothing unusual.
“I missed you too.” You whispered against his lips before moving away to close your locker. By the time you turned around, your eyes landed on somebody who shouldn’t have been in Liberty. “You have to be kidding me…”
“And that’s what I wanted to tell you.” Montgomery sighed.
Your mood went from extremely happy, even though nobody is extremely happy on a Monday morning, to extremely angry within the matter of seconds. Standing a few feet away from you, with the rest of the jocks, was your ex boyfriend, the person you hated the most on earth, Noah.
Jessica introduced you to Noah at a party over the summer before sophomore year. It didn’t take long before you started dating. You spent the whole summer together. And you did that terrible mistake of trusting him and giving yourself to him. You were in love. Or so you thought. By the end of summer, Noah moved across the country with his parents. A decision he knew about for months but never told you about. You got the news on the first day of school when Zach and Justin asked you about how you were going to manage a long distance relationship. It didn’t hit you right away. It hit you when you saw a new guy on the field with Noah’s number. It hit you when you texted him and he simply told you that he didn’t think it was that big of a deal to tell you. It hit you when everybody at school was talking about you. You went through the first half of sophomore year secluding yourself in the Library, studying and keeping yourself from seeing anybody. You were ashamed of how naive you were to trust Noah like that.
One day, while you were busy finishing your Spanish paper, Montgomery pulled the chair next to yours and loudly crashed on it. “Shhhhh!” Someone angrily looked at him.
“The fuck you want nerd?”
He was about to stand up and fight that innocent soul for hushing him that way when you grabbed him hand to stop him. “Don’t.” And he didn’t. He just glared at the young boy and looked at you. You didn’t even stop what you were doing. “What are you doing here? I’ve never seen set a foot in here before.”
“Wanted the test the ambiance.”
You chuckled shaking your head. “What do you think about it so far?”
“Sucks.”
“And how about you tell me the real reason why you’re here?”
“I got an essay to finish.”
“Liar.”
“I am worried about you.” Your head shot up in surprise. His signature smirk was replaced by a rather concernes expression. “You never leave this place unless you go home or to class.” At least in the school library nobody judged you, too busy studying.
“I wanna pass. Is there a problem with this?”
“You’re a straight A student, you don’t need to put efforts to get the highest grades.”
“Maybe I do now.”
“Liar.”
“Get out if you have so much to tell each other. People are trying to study here.” Another student loudly whispered to you.
And you got out. You didn’t need people to notice you there. Montgomery followed you until you suddenly stopped and turned around to face him. “I am fine Monty.”
“Are you gonna keep lying to my face like that all day?”
“People keep talking about me, Monty. I hear them.” You sighed. “All the time and trust me, they’re not gonna drop the hottest tea in town so easily.”
“Let’s give them another one.”
“What?” The bell started ringing right at that moment and students were rushing out of class, filling the once empty hall you were standing in. At that exact moment, when some of them spotted you probably for the first time in days -or weeks-, Montgomery did something unexpected. He quickly closed the distance between you and pressed his lips to yours in a gentle and slow kiss. It took you one second to realize Montgomery was kissing you and another second to realize you were kissing him back. That was it. That was right. And that was nearly two years ago.
“What the fuck is he doing here?” You asked your boyfriend without looking away from Noah’s tall figure that could be spotted from miles away. Your blood was boiling inside of you.
Before Montgomery could say anything to try and calm you down, Noah saw you and walked over to you. “Hey baby, missed me?” His hand went to touch your cheek but you stepped back avoiding it. “Come on, I know you did.”
“How about you leave my girlfriend alone Carter?” Montgomery came to stand between the two of you.
“You replaced me with this poor latinx (Y/N/N)? You know you can do better.” He was completely ignoring Montgomery’s words and pushed him to the side to get closer to you. “We can start over beautiful.”
“Fuck off, Carter.” A crowd was slowly forming aroun the three of you and the boys came right away to hold Montgomery back. But he wasn’t the one who needed to be held back.
Noah looked at Montgomery who was trying to free himself from Jeff’s hold and chuckled. ’“Look at this attack dog, he can’t do anything but get into fights. What kind of future do you think he can give you?”
No one had the time to make a move that your knee collided with his crotch and as he bent down in pain, your forehead violently collided with his nose, making him fall in pain, blood flooding out of his nose. “Wanna say that again asshole?”
Next thing you knew, you were sitting in front of the honor board under the very disappointed gaze of Mr Porter. You didn’t speak, holding the icepack the school nurse gave you against your forehead on which a bump and a bruise were forming while Noah was sitting on the chair next to yours, blood still dripping out of his nose and on his white t-shirt. It didn’t take long for the honor board to come to the conclusion that you were the one to be blamed for everything and got you suspended for two days.

A Kiss To Change It All (Part 31) - Montgomery de la Cruz
Pairing: Montgomery de la Cruz x Reader; Jeff Atkins x Best friend!Reader
Warning: None.
Word count: 1.9K
Tumblr media
Monday
Slowly and reluctantly, you uncover your face. Blinked, closed your eyes and blinked again for a few times until you adjusted to the sunlight that was blinding you because you were too tired to close the curtains the night before. You had a long discussion with your father and despite him telling you that Montgomery was probably acting out of anger, your mind was already made and it was no way for you to continue lamenting yourself over someone who moved on quickly. No more tears. No more guilt. Just your old self back in the game. You promised you would show every single student in Liberty that no jock could break you, even if it was the big bad Montgomery de la Cruz. You were determined to start this new week on a positive note. Admiring yourself one last time in the mirror, you headed downstairs to find your best friend and father chatting in the kitchen while waiting for you.
"Good morning you two!" You chanted as you walked inside the room, kissing your father's cheek before taking a seat on your best friend's lap. Nothing unusual but considering what happened over the past weeks, your good mood and behavior were strange. "What?" You questioned when you felt their looks on you. None of them dared to tell you they found your behavior awkward, they just smiled at you and continued chatting while you were eating. "Zach and I kissed the other day." You dropped after a minute of driving.
"Is it this supposed to be surprising?"
"Yeah?"
"Okay..."
"At least fake being surprised, Atkins." You laughed and he did too. "I ran away right after that. I feel guilty because he tried calling and texting and I didn't respond."
"It's Zach we're talking about, sweetheart. He won't be mad at you if you just explain what happened."
And of course, he wasn't. The great Zach Dempsey couldn't even think of getting mad at you. When you got to your locker, you saw him chatting with Marcus a few feet away from and you decided that it was now or never to get that talk so quickly, you shoved your textbooks in your backpack and walked as fast as you could as he was walking away. "Zach!" You called and made him instantly stop. "Can we talk... in private?" You looked at Marcus with an uneasy smile. The basketball player just nodded and followed you to an empty classroom. Once you closed the door, the same heavy tension that was in his car the day he drove you to Jeff's settled in the room making the air suddenly hot and impossible to breathe. "I owe an explanation and an apology for my shitty behavior, Zach." You managed to get out of your mouth after what felt like forever.
"You had a rough week, it's alright. I understand."
A smile crept on your lips and you shook your head before you took a seat next to him, looking at the freshly cleaned blackboard. "Why do you have to be so nice?"
"Why not?"
Looking at him, you grinned and hit his shoulder playfully. "It's rude to answer a question with another one, Dempsey!"
"Ouch! I'm a sensitive guy, (Y/L/N), careful." He shot back at you on the same tone before he shook his head smiling at you. "So what's the explanation you owe me?"
Clearing your throat, you started your tale of adventures from you being on the Honor Board and ditching school, the fight with Montgomery, then you wanting to text him but ending up finding how your mother sabotaged your relationship. "And the rest, you've seen it yourself." He nodded, feeling sad for you after the scene he and the other jocks witnessed at Bryce's. "I'm sorry for running away like that."
"I should be the one apologizing but..." He paused searching for words. "We were searching for comfort, I guess and..."
"It's the only way two broken-hearted teenagers found."
"You good at finishing my sentences (Y/L/N)." He laughed.
"Saved your ass more than once, Dempsey. Be thankful I am able to read your mind."
Zach shifted on the chair so he was facing you now. You didn't look at him, kept your eyes for a moment on the board before you did. He was smiling. His angelic smile that lit up all his face and you wondered how such a sweet guy like him was friend with people like Bryce Walker. "What?"
“It’s good to see you happy again.”
With a smile, you nodded. “About the time I started smiling again, uh?” As you both exited the classroom and took opposite directions towards your first period, you heard no one talking about you or whispering countless stories as you walked past them. It felt good no to be the center of attention, to get back to being just a student among many others. Carried by your thoughts, you didn’t pay attention to where you were going and bumped into someone who instantly got a hold of your arms catching you before you hit the floor. You looked up and almost chocked when you saw Montgomery. Taking a step back and freeing your arms from his hold, you mumbled an apology and quickly walked away, leaving him standing there without a chance to say a word. You didn’t want to hear anything coming from him.
Thursday
The past days went smoothly. You allowed yourself to go out with Zach the night before, friendly night out, just talking and getting to know each other since you didn't really get to talk while working on your bio projects. The whispers and weird looks stopped giving you the peace you were desperately looking for. Or so you thought as you were headed to watch your best friend practice before the big game of the next day.
"How could he even go official with a girl like her? Boooriiiing." One of the cheers said out loud as you walked past them to get to the bleachers, making the rest of the group laugh as they eyed you.
Another added in a louder voice. "He probably fucked her this summer and didn't like it."
You heard them. They meant it, they wanted you to hear them and when you sprinted towards the nearest bathrooms, the cheerleaders started giggling and babbling even more. You tried to swallow back the tears that were threatening to start falling again. You almost made it through two days without crying. A record for the past weeks. Locking yourself in an empty stall, you let them fall silently on your cheeks, muffled sobs escaping your lips as you wanted to avoid anyone hearing you. But someone did. Someone followed you when the cheerleaders talked about you, worried about you. They couldn't help but listen through the thin door to your cries. You eventually got out after a few minutes, eyes puffy and red, sniffling and they got out at the same time. Kimberly. Great, you couldn't ask for anyone else to see you like this. She stood next to you, watching you wash and dry your face all the way long. "I am sorry, (Y/N)." She finally said when you looked for a second. Something in her voice made you feel that she was genuine to you. You gave her a slight nod and a small smile before you turned around ready to head out when she spoke again. "He still thinks about you a lot, do you know that?" She paused when she saw you stop walking. You didn't turn around, your heart taking a fast race inside your chest. "He..." She let out a nervous chuckle. "He calls me your name all the time."
You dared to look at her and tried as hard as you could to keep a straight face even though her words brought a sweet feeling to your cold heart. "I am sorry for..."
Kimberly took a step towards you, a smile on her lips. A pained smile. "I am not blaming you, (Y/N)."
"I don't understand then. Why are you telling me all of this?"
"Because you two aren't over each other." A statement from her. The blonde told you a fact you were pushing away from your mind.
You shook your head. "You don't know an..."
"Maybe I know nothing." She cut you off. "I know nothing of what happened between you and how things ended, yeah. But trust me, (Y/N), I see enough things every day since he got with me to tell you that he still thinks about you a lot." Kimberly went on telling you that he didn't change your name on his phone and kept your picture on his lock screen, he got mad at her when she pointed it out. She often caught him looking at you when you were too busy to notice him doing so. He smiled when you did, got worried when he didn't see you around Jeff and went crazy asking Justin or Scott to go ask your best friend if you were alright. That was when it hit you. Justin had a lot going on and to deal with but he texted you this morning when you were at the hospital for some blood tests, asking where you were and if everything was fine. Not that Justin didn’t care about you but he certainly wouldn’t freak out if he didn’t see you at school. But this morning you had French and your seat was empty when Montgomery entered the room, causing him to panic almost immediately as he just saw Jeff by the lockers earlier and you weren’t with him. He practically harassed Justin to text you and if the basketball player wanted to get some peace, he didn’t have much choice than to do what Monty asked him to. "Even this..." She smiled down at the leather bracelet hanging low on your wrist before she grabbed your hand to look at it closely. "He doesn't want to take it off." The boys kept telling him that it would be better if he took it off but he snapped one day as they were changing in the locker room and almost got into a fight with one of the jocks.
Pulling your hand away, you sighed. You couldn't break down in front of her after what she said. "He is with you now. Your boyfriend, not mine anymore."
Kimberly laughed. "I don't think that this purely sexual thing that is going between Monty and I is the definition of a relationship."
"I don't care about what you do together. I just don't understand what your point is." Of course, you cared, you were dying to know what attracted him to her and now you had your answer. It didn’t surprise you at all. But you hated thinking that he was having sex with another girl and you couldn’t fight the feeling squeezing your heart almost until you couldn’t breathe.
She smiled. “My point is that you two are destroying one another by staying apart. Whether you like the idea or not, (Y/N), you two are still madly in love with each other but your pride or whatever this is is not helping either of you. Do you think Zach would bring you happiness like Monty did?” You were speechless. She was surprisingly smart and showed you a face you didn’t know about her. “I’ll give you the answer. He would make you happy because Zach is a good guy but you wouldn’t be as happier as if you were with Monty.”
“You do realize what you’re saying, right?” She nodded. “Don’t you like him?”
“I do. But you love him, there’s the difference..”

A Kiss To Change It All (Part 30) - Montgomery de la Cruz
Pairing: Montgomery de la Cruz x Reader; Jeff Atkins x Reader
Warning: Sadness again
Word count: 1.6k
Tumblr media
In that split second, that very brief moment you turned to look behind you and caught Montgomery casually flirting with the blonde, time seemed to be frozen as Jessica and Jeff almost stopped breathing in anticipation of your reaction. But there was none. You turned around, swallowing your tears and smiled at the two before you continued eating your lunch. Your abnormal calmness terrified your best friend, he knew you like the back of his hand and your current state was no good sign. You weren't one to be violent or very expressive when it came to your feelings, but what you had been through and what you were still going through made Jeff could compare you to a bomb, ticking and about to explode any time soon. "Wanna ditch?" He dared to ask as you both walked towards the lockers to get your afternoon class books.
"I have ditched enough classes for an entire lifetime, Jeff." You laughed as you shoved your books in your backpack. "I am fine." Seeing the concerned look on his face and knowing that he wasn't buying your terrible lie, you let a loud and shaky sigh escape your lips before you spoke. "I am not fine. But I can't run away from school forever, Jeff."
What surprised your best friend the most wasn't how you held your head high and made through your whole afternoon classes without losing it on anyone who whispered things behind your back or those looks you were given when Montgomery was just a few feet away from you, holding the blonde cheer close to him. What surprised your best friend was seeing you sitting by the bleachers when he jogged on the baseball field after school, just like you always did ever since he joined the Liberty's baseball team. After his car accident and everything that happened, you were rarely there, he couldn't blame you for wanting to stay away from the jocks as you but he wished you could see how much he improved since he recovered from the accident.
Truth to be told, everyone was surprised to see you there. But unlike the other times, you weren't actively watching them as you kept yourself busy going through your textbooks until a piece of paper fell from one of them. From the shining texture of it, you knew what it was as you bent down to pick it up. It was a picture you took while at the beach with Montgomery back during summer which instantly brought a soft smile to your lips and almost automatically you looked up searching for his gaze on you, but he wasn't looking. You already missed it. You missed catching him looking at you when he was supposed to hit the ball, distracted by your presence, earning whistles from his teammates. You missed him smiling and winking at you before he focused on the game. You looked back at the picture, running your fingers on the glossy paper on which Montgomery was smiling.
"I hate you (Y/N/N)" Your boyfriend groaned as he looked away from you but you were quick and managed to take a picture of him smiling at you while you were both sitting on a surfing board a few feet away from the shore, just chilling and goofing around.
A wide grin spread on your lips before you spoke. "That's not what you were saying last night, papi."
"She pulls the Spanish card on me, uh?"
"She knows you love it."
"Yeah I do but she is still deleting that picture."
"Baaaaabe" You whined, uncrossing and dropping your legs to the sides of the board so he couldn't move it. "You have tons of pictures of me, I barely have a few." That was a fact. Montgomery took countless pictures of you, at that point he probably had hundreds of them stocked in his phone, he found you beautiful no matter what you were doing or wearing, whether your hair was done or in a messy bun over your head. You were his beautiful girlfriend of whom he was proud and didn't hesitate to pull the cheesiest captions on the few pictures you allowed him to upload on his Instagram account.
He leaned forward, capturing your lips in a quick but sweet kiss. "'Cause you, mi vida, are the most beautiful human being my eyes have ever seen." The tone he used made your heart skip beats, how come he still had this effect on you after months and months of constant flirting?
"Lay it off De la Cruz!"
The sweet and calm voice of coach Patrick made you jump in your place and brought you back to reality. Shaking your head, you shoved the picture back into the textbook and looked up to see why coach Patrick was yelling and the boys whistling. Your eyes landed on Kimberly and Montgomery kissing in the middle of the field, right where everyone, you included, could see. Jeff and Zach were the only one not reacting to the scene before them, they both looked at you only you were already down the bleachers, textbooks in your arms as you didn't bother to put them back in your backpack, walking as fast as you could to reach Jeff's car in the parking lot. You felt humiliated. Everyone saw you there and now everyone would talk even more behind your back about how your ex-boyfriend was kissing another girl right in front of you. "Sweetheart..."
"It's how relationships work, right?" You wiped away the tears that were running down your cheeks as you nervously laughed. "I don't even know why I'm crying. I feel so stupid."
"You're not." Jeff cupped your face and pressed a kiss to your forehead. "He is the stupid one for letting such an amazing girl slip away from him and trust me, pretty girl, he will soon realize that you can't be replaced by a dumb cheerleader." That was how you called Kimberly and it made you chuckle that he said it too now. "Now, I want you to stop crying and give me that beautiful smile of yours." How could you not smile at such an amazing boy who did anything in he could to keep you happy and safe?
By the time Jeff dropped you home and made sure you were fully okay before he left, another surprise was waiting for you inside. You pushed the door open. Two suitcases were sitting by the stairs which make you frown and hope it was none of the dark ideas that were roaming in your head. Before you could move from your spot, you saw your father make his way down the stairs. "Dad!"
"(Y/N/N), sweetie." He engulfed you in a tight hug and kissed the top of your head. "You got me worried about you."
"I'm sorry." You mumbled as you pulled away from him, desperate to have an answer to your question. "What's this?" You looked at the suitcases behind your father and then back at him.
He sighed. "(Y/N)..."
"Don't tell me you're leaving." Hearing not response from him, you stepped back and crossed your arms over your chest. "If you leave, I leave too."
"You are not going anywhere, young lady."
Your mother was standing right behind the two of you. "And who might you be to tell me what I can and can not do?" Before she could speak, you did. "Oh yeah, the one who calls herself a mother but doesn't give a single shit about her daughter's happiness. If dad leaves, I am leaving as well, end of the discussion."
The words that came from your mouth were sharp blades to her, but you didn't care because she certainly didn't when she was destroying your relationship. You pushed past them and went to your room, grabbing the suitcase from under your bed and proceeded to shove your clothes inside. "You don't have to do this."
You didn't turn around and kept going back and forth between the closet and your bed, handfuls of clothes thrown inside the suitcase. "Don't talk to me if you don't want to hear anything that won't please you, mom."
"No (Y/N)... I'll leave. There's no need for the two of you to leave."
She did. She understood that there was no way you were staying under the same roof as her and it was easier for one to move out of the house instead of two. That night, your father ordered food and you had a movie night, putting your mind on something else than the problems that were surrounding you. By the end of the movie, none of you was asleep or wanted to go to bed. You sat in silence for a long moment before your father broke it. "Have you talked to Montgomery yesterday?"
The sight that escaped your lips was slow, as if your brain needed time to process what happened the night before. "I said things I didn't mean and by the time I realized what really happened, it was too late." You toyed with the remaining food in your plate. "I hurt him, and I am dealing with the consequences, dad. Proper teenage life I always wanted to live." You chuckled and made your hurting father laugh a little. You always complained about not being able to live like a teen of your age because of your health issues but now you had the whole broken heart and separated parents package right in your face. "I'll get over it, right? That's what teen my age do, they move on. He already did. I'll do too."

A Kiss To Change It All (Part 27) - Montgomery de la Cruz
Pairing: Montgomery de la Cruz x reader; Zach Dempsey x Reader
Warning: None.
Word count: 1317 words.
A/N: I know I said I was updating over a month ago but many things happened in my life, among them my many university projects that I just finished on Monday and a lot of personnal issues. Really sorry for the long delay. But now I am back for good, I will update more frequently. Thank you for all your sweet messages and support despite me being away for so long. ❤️
Tumblr media
The sadness drained through your body rather than rolling over your skin. It traveled through every cell, poisoning the little amount of hope and happiness you had left inside of you before dripping on the cold ground like your tears did for long minutes now.
If you had to describe in one word what your past weeks or months were like, you would use the word tears. To be quite honest, you were rather surprised to see that you some left in your system but they didn't last for a long time, soon your body was shaking, loud hiccups leaving your trembling lips. You didn't realize how loud you were behind the gymnasium bleachers until a hand rested on your shoulder making your head shoot up instantly. "You're killing yourself." No distinguish words could be heard from you, instead you grabbed the basketball player's hand and pulled him down to sit next to you into the rather small space. Zach was comfort at all times.
It was an undeniable fact.
Despite everything that had been going on for the past days, you didn't push Zach away even though you should have. He managed to sit down, head touching the stairs that were hovering above you. He didn't try to know what got you into such state. He didn't say a word. But still, his first thoughts were that Montgomery must have messed with you, hurt you or something. You were still shaking, your trembling hand still firmly holding his. A few minutes and loud sobs later, he finally broke the silence. "Did Monty do..."
"S'not him..." You managed to get out of your mouth in a low and shaky voice.
"Who is it then?"
"(Y/N) wait..."
"Don't bother, Montgomery. Now I know which side you're picking, thank you very much."
He opened his mouth to say something else but you didn't give him the chance to speak that you were out of the locker room, slamming the door behind you. You knew that whoever would come your way at that exact moment will have to deal with the consequences. In fact, as you were storming out, someone grabbed your arm and before the person could even speak, you raised your hand to slap whoever it was but you stopped midway when you saw your best friend. "Woah sweetheart, it's just me... What's got into you?"
"We ... We need to talk, Jeff."
You sat in an empty classroom. It took a lot from you to confess about the whole tapes and Sheri situation. A lie. Another one. This one got ugly. "How could you do this to me, (Y/N)?"
"I wanted to tell you everything but..."
"You fucking promised you won't lie to me anymore (Y/N)!" He was yelling. Pissed, disappointed by what you did. You couldn't blame him.
"I didn't want to, I..."
"Last time you didn't want to as well but I brushed it off because of how happy you were and because it's your life but this, (Y/N), this has to do with me. I almost fucking died in that car accident!" At this point, you couldn't speak. Bringing the accident back formed a huge knot in your throat. Jeff was right, no matter what, you should have told him the truth the moment you knew it. "I don't recognize you anymore. You pick fights, you lie to me... Lord knows what else you do that I don't know about." There you were, no more trust between you and it was all your fault, no one else to blame but you.
The mention of the tapes did the exact effect you were expecting it to do. He shifted uncomfortably, putting as much distance as he could between the of you. By the time you stopped talking, he immediately asked the question you were waiting for. "How do you know about the tapes?"
"Woah that's all you have to say, Zach?" You scoffed, wiping away your tears.
"What she said isn't true."
"Tell me something I haven't heard today." You were about to get up when he handed you a folded paper with his name on it. With a frown, you grabbed it and flipped it to see if there was anything written on the back. "What's this?"
"What Hannah thought I threw away when I didn't." He cleared his throat before he continued. "I kept it. I never meant to hurt her. You know I am not like this, (Y/N)."
"You didn't hurt her as the others did but you still contributed to her destruction." Pausing, you gathered what was left of energy in your body to speak again. "I was surprised to hear your name among all of the others. I mean Justin ain't a surprise, neither is Marcus but you, Zach, you shouldn't have been on those tapes."
"I know and you have no idea how much I feel guilty for this."
His lips brushed yours. You wanted to pull away before it was too late, but you couldn't seem to have any control over your actions, your body and mind stopped working. None of you could think straight. After all, you were two broken hearts comforting each other in a way words could never do. He ran his fingers down your spine, pulling you closer until there was no space left between the two of you and you could feel the beating of his heart against your chest. It was fast. Really fast. But the kiss seemed like it lasted forever. "Zach..."
"I am sorry, (Y/N/N). I am so sorry." He whispered. "I shouldn't..."
"I... I need... I have to go."
You rushed out of the only safe place you found after your heart was shattered into thousand more pieces for the third time today. There was another load of sadness, anger and confusion added to what you could call a pile of dust sitting silently yet painfully inside your chest, reminding that nothing would ever go back to the way it was before. Nothing would bring back the dead or erase the terrible things that happened to the alive. Nothing would clear up the huge mess that everyone was swimming, or should you say drowning in. You walked past your car, decided that abandoning the vehicle on the school's parking lot was a much wiser decision and you walked under the cold breeze at first then came a heavy rain, soaking you to the bone but it didn't matter. Nothing mattered anymore. Not even your phone that was going crazy inside your pocket, calls and texts filling the screen. Your house was empty. 'Thank God' you thought when none of your parents answered your calls when you pushed the front door open. You dragged your drenched body to the bathroom where you didn't bother to strip any of your clothes as you got under the hot shower. You needed it. You needed to wash away was this tensed day brought you. "(Y/N) are you okay sweetie?”
A small smile formed on your lips when your father's reassuring hand rested on yours during dinner. You had been playing with your food, blankly staring at your filled plate. "Yeah, I just had a long day."
"Where's your car?"
"I left it at school. I was too tired to drive."
"Couldn't Jeff drive?"
It felt like a punch in the face hearing his name. "I... Uh we didn't see each other after school, mom. Can I leave please? I have homework for tomorrow."
"Of course (Y/N/N), go."
You almost ran to your room, only finding peace behind the closed door. A door you wished you never had to open again to face the world because you couldn't seem to have any energy or will to do so anymore. You wished that the next day you would wake up and find that everything was just an ugly nightmare. But it wasn't like that. Ever.

Imagine… Montgomery telling you he likes you but in his way
Tumblr media
A/N: I was reading through some prompts I found on Pinterest and got suddenly inspired for one-shots (as well as working on the main series). Hope you like this short one.
Hanging out with Montgomery de la Cruz, somehow, somewhat, always ended with him doing something stupid and either getting caught, hurt or if you were lucky enough, you would just have a lot of fun.
You were sitting by the swings in the park, enjoying the calm before getting back to school after a long and hot summer. None of you was ready and maybe it was the reason why you didn't talk, the squeaking of the swings being the only sound to be heard around you.
"Well, I'm about to do something stupid." Montgomery suddenly said as he got off the swing and stood in front of you.
You giggled and pushed your legs to swing higher. "You're always doing something stupid, Monty. So how is this any different?" He just smiled and grabbed the metal chains to stop your swing from moving. "Oh and since when you warn m..." You were cut off by him kissing you. It lasted just a few seconds, not enough time to process properly what was going on but enough to bring thousands of questions to your mind. You kept your eyes closed for a brief moment, breathing slowly and trying to find a way to get the hell out of the awkward situation that was going to follow. But hey, you didn't do anything wrong, he kissed you. "Any explanation to my confused self, De la Cruz?" The only explanation you had was him kissing you again. "Can't you use words?" You chuckled.
"I'm not good with words and you know this."
"Yeah, right… But a damn good kisser, he is." You chanted as you hopped off the swing and started walking away from him.
"What? Wait a minute did you just say I am a good kisser? Hold on (Y/N)!"

A Kiss To Change It All (Part 26) - Montgomery de la Cruz
Pairing: Montgomery de la Cruz x Reader
Warning: Mention of death. Angst at points.
Word count: A little less than 2000.
A/N: Sorry for the delay, my computer crashed and I didn’t have any wifi today. Next part will be next Sunday, 9 p.m. Belgian time! Love
Tumblr media
The following day, even if you were beyond exhausted, you had to drop the tapes by the first person's place on them which meant Justin. You didn't bother eating or changing into fresh clothes, you just grabbed the box and rushed to drive to his house, making sure no one saw you, you rested the box on the doormat and quickly made your way to Jeff's. "Sweetheart, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I couldn't sleep." Half a lie.
"Still thinking about Hannah, right?" You nodded, tightening your grip around the steering wheel. "There's nothing you could have done, (Y/N)..." He said as he rested his hand on yours, making you loosen your grip just enough for him to take your hand away and kiss the back of it. He had no idea about the tapes, he couldn't know just yet. He couldn't know until you sorted things out with Sheri. "Stop blaming yourself, okay?"
"It's so hard..."
"This is why you got me, sweetheart." The small smile playing on your lips quickly vanished when you bumped into the jocks as you walked inside the school, holding your best friend's arm. Almost instinctively, your grip around Jeff's forearm tightened when you met Bryce's gaze from afar. You felt sick just looking at him but then you saw Jessica, laughing and talking to him, unaware of what he did to her. "(Y/N)? (Y/N/N)? Sweetheart?"
"Uh... What?" You shook your head as Jeff's voice brought you back from your thoughts.
"You zoned out..."
"Uh sorry, I was thinking about that damn bio project for next week."
"Talking about bio... Hey Zach, what's up?"
You had to fake smiles for days long, contained yourself from murdering Sheri whenever she came to sit with you at lunch. Tony managed to convince not to do anything stupid until the tapes reached the final person. "You really think Porter will give them to that fucking rapist?"
"He won't. But for Hannah's sake, just keep it together for a little longer." A little longer meant two days later when Clay got them. He didn't say anything but you could read panic and anger on his face as he went slowly through the tapes. "He's so slow."
"Can you blame him? I mean the girl he loved is literally telling the story of why she killed herself and he is just processing this." You could only imagine how hard it was for Clay to hear her say those things and oh boy, you didn't want to think about his reaction when he would reach the final tape.
The following day was your action day. No one was going to hold you from sorting things out with Sheri. "Oh, hey Sheri." You said standing behind the brunette as she was gathering her books from her locker. She turned around, probably expecting to see you all smiles and happiness but instead she encountered an extremely angry (Y/N). The one who instantly pushed her back against the metal locker and slapped her as hard as she could and oh boy, did it feel good to finally let your built-in anger out. "This is for the stop sign you knocked down!" And another slap. "And this is for not reporting it because you were too scared of your daddy finding out you had an accident!" You growled before you punched her straight into her left cheek. It stung your fist a little bit and made her stumble, but you caught her before she could run away and trapped against the lockers. "This one was for nearly killing my best friend, bitch." You kept your voice low not to attract anyone in the empty hall.
"I can explain ever..."
"Just fucking shut it, Sheri."
Your hand landed once more against her cheek on which a light purple shade was starting to show. And when you were about to hit her once again, someone caught your wrist and pulled you back. "Easy there, tiger." Montgomery's voice was heard in a whisper in your ear as he dragged you away from Sheri. "You pick fights now, (Y/L/N)?" He smirked as Marcus checked on Sheri.
"Fucking let go of me, Cruz!" You struggled to free yourself from his strong hold but you failed. "I have reasons to do that."
"Your girlfriend is crazy." Sheri said rubbing her swollen cheek.
"I swear if you don't lock it, Sheri, I'm gonna fucking murder you!" You tried to reach her once more, but Montgomery had wrapped both arms around your waist and held you away from her.
"Uh uh, you're not murdering anyone, (Y/N)." He said and dragged you behind him to the boys' locker room, empty at this hour. "What happened to you, crazy?"
"None of your business." You groaned as you tried to get out of the room, but he just stepped in front of the locked door before you could reach the handle.
He quickly got a hold of your waist and pulled you against him. "Try again, princess." He breathed against your lips.
Pushing him away, you stepped back. "I'm not in the mood for that, Monty." You crossed your arms over your chest, annoyed by his behavior.
"I'm very much in the mood to handle your hysteria, (Y/N/N). So, don't talk, we have plenty of time ahead of us." He said as he imitated your gestures. You sighed and went to sit on the small bench in the middle of the room. "Talk to me, (Y/N)." He knelt in front of you as he rested his hands on yours. "What's going on?"
Deep breath. "Sheri knocked the stop sign the night Jeff had his acci..."
"What? How do you know that?"
You closed your eyes and tried to continue. "Hannah ..."
"Hannah?"
"Will you let me finish, Cruz, instead of cutting me all the damn time?" You said, getting slightly irritated by his behavior. "Hannah left things behind her. She enlightened so many things, Jeff's accident among those."
He frowned and stood up, you could clearly see anger starting to pile up inside him. "And you believed her? What if she made all of this to suck everyone's lives after she died?"
"Oh yeah, why would she? Why would she lie about something like that, uh?"
"I am not saying she lied about Jeff but the rest..."
Your turn to cut him off. "Oh, so you know about the rest?" He just looked away, jaw clenching as he went. "Of course, you know, Walker told you everything, didn't he. That fucking..."
"Don't."
"You're defending him?" You took his silence as a positive answer. "Of course you are. I wasn't expecting anything less from you."
"(Y/N)..."
He tried to reach out for you but you stepped back, tears forming in your eyes. "He raped two of my friends and Lord knows if there aren't any other girls and you... You're defending him. What if it was me instead of Jessica, uh? What if he did this to me? Would you still pick his side and say that I am a liar, Monty?"
He shook his head. "It's not the same..."
You gathered all of your energy not to say what nearly happened last summer. Part of you wanted to forget about it and never recall what happened that night but after hearing the tapes, it was the only thing that filled your mind along with Sheri's tape.
It was after your little trip with him, Montgomery had begged you to spend the evening at Bryce's with him and the others. He knew you didn't like Bryce but he wanted to show you that he wasn't all bad as people might think and say. "Fine, but we're not sleeping there."
"Please... What? Did you actually say yes?" And you shouldn't have. Despite Jessica and Sheri being there, you felt terribly uncomfortable at the glances Bryce was giving you. You kept trying to stay with your boyfriend but the girls didn't want to sit by the boys' as they were playing some rather violent video game and yelling like madmen. At some point, Montgomery left to get more drinks with Scott. "The girls are here with you, baby and I'll be back before you know it, I promise."
What girls? Both of them were wasted and passed out in a room which pretty much left you sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through your social media until you heard the door open. "What such beauty is doing on her own?"
"As you can tell I am not alone, Bryce." You glanced at the girls. "Did you need something?" He didn't speak and sat next to you but you were quick to get on your feet and get to the door but he was quicker and grabbed your arm, pushing you against the wall. "Bryce, let go of me."
"We can have a little fun, (Y/N)."
"I don't want to." You tried pushing him but no success. Within seconds, he was pressed against you, trying to kiss you, hands moving to touch your body. "Jesus, Walker, get off me!" You raised your voice in hope to get someone's attention.
"Oh don't be like this, (Y/N), I know you want it." He whispered, sending shivers of terror through your spine.
"I don't want anything, leave me alone or I'm gonna ..."
He smirked. "Oh come on. What are you gonna do? Tell Montgomery? You really think he'll believe a girl he's been with since a few months or a trustworthy friend like me?"
"(Y/N)?" You sighed in relief when Zach entered the room. "Monty's looking for you." You pushed Bryce away and almost ran downstairs to hide in your boyfriend's arms. He just pressed a kiss on your hair and held you on his lap as he watched Justin and Alex play video games. You were shaking and could still feel Bryce's filthy hands on you, you felt sick and dirty.
"It could have been the same, Monty. But your loyalty for this rapist blinds you."
