Warriors ocs. Story inspired by Seri Pixel Biologist and her sims 3 warrior cats challenge. Go watch it if you haven't! It's pretty great!

I should start with introductions.

Wildpaw is a dark brown cat with dark orange patches and bright amber eyes. Her fur sticks up in random directions and is naturally curled and fluffed up in certain places. She lives for the hunt and enjoys(ed) the satisfaction of feeling the elders and kits of her clan their favorite foods. Always willing to jump to the defense of the weak and innocent even though this attitude has gotten her into trouble multiple times.

"Softpaw says I need to 'slow down' and 'think my actions through'. I do that enough already! If I thought any longer about it the offender might have already gotten away or hurt someone! Best to jump to action than remain actionless."

Softpaw is an off-white colored cat with very very light orange patches (to the point where you can't even tell that they are there at times) and gentle blue eyes. Her coat is constantly smooth and even, only puffing up when she truly feels angry or annoyed. She is unfortunately always having to clean up after Wildpaw's trail of destruction and is victim to Wildpaw using her as a cushion every night since they have been born. Softpaw complains about these things often but she knows that if Wildpaw were to ever stop doing these things then she would question who replaced her sister and would honestly and secretly miss her constant company.

"I know Wildpaw can handle herself but it is the way she handles herself that leaves me worried. She could start a border dispute with birds if she really put her mind to it. *Heavy sigh* And I would be the one who would have to clean it up... Claw up some sort of treatise with the birds so that they can go back to being prey. Or bringing the clans together, united against the flying threat. Hmm... Now I wonder how a battle against birds would even look?"

Their parents are Turtleshell (soft spoken and thoughtful brown with white spots and amber eyes tom-cat) and Dappleclaw (feisty and cunning, and a bit bloodthirsty if she is honest, cream she-cat with light orange speckles across her pelt and blue eyes)

Softpaw and Wildpaw. Sisters, separated from their clan by a flash flood and separated further still by twolegs that had captured them directly after the flood. They were quick to escape the hairless paws of the twolegs together and find a good bit of dense forest to settle down in. Not knowing what would be in-store for them in this unknown land.

So far away from home and no way of knowing how to get back they, begrudgingly, stay in this new lawless territory. Setting up a tiny camp and continuing their clan duties as best they can. One hunting every day while the other patrols their tiny territory. They share tongues, call their news up to the stars on full moons, gather what little herbs they remember their old medicine cat Poppyleaf using and training and sharing hunting and fighting techniques that their mentors had taught them.

I will be posting more of this in the future. You can't stop me.

I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO ONE OF THESE!

(1.1) First Steps

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Lightrunner wished she could give herself more time to adjust to her new home, but she knew her warrior ancestors wouldn't be nearly as patient as she'd always been. Her purpose in coming here... was to start a new clan, wasn't it? But Lightrunner had never particularly liked the idea of leadership. She'd been a decent warrior in her time, sure, but any suggestions from her peers that she should take charge were often met with awkward laughter and shuffling paws. She knew this was the will of StarClan, but part of her couldn't help but wonder if they had the wrong cat.

Surely, surely, she was meant to find some other cat to lead the clan. She had to find new clanmates somehow, after all, and she figured she'd find at least one with an ambitious kick.

After carefully crossing the Thunderpath that bordered the territory, Lightrunner made her way through the farmlands. Where there were farms, there were mice. And where there were mice, there were cats! Surely she'd meet some new faces if she kept on in this direction, though whether they would be friendly was a different matter. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

Lightrunner discovers a new location: McGreggor Farms

Lightrunner meets Briar, an aggressive tortoiseshell she-cat with a stubby tail. The two spar and gain mutual respect for one another as a result.

Lightrunner meets Honey, a friendly cream-and-white she-cat. The two socialize for a while and part on good terms.

Lightrunner meets a spotted tabby tom named Rudd. While he is friendly and the two hit it off, Rudd doesn't seem very interested in clan life as of now.

Lightrunner gets fleas while socializing with the strange barn cats.

Lightrunner spends the night outside the farmhouse to rest after her journey.

Lightrunner meets a black-and-white tom named Skunk. He seems apprehensive of her, but curious about life in the wild.

Lightrunner invites Skunk to join her new clan. He says he will consider it, but only if his mate, Honey, comes along as well.

Honey agrees to come along to check out the forest, as it "sounds like fun". Skunk joins as well, but less enthusiastically.

Lightrunner invites Briar to come to the clan as well. Briar agrees.

Lightrunner returns to camp with Briar, Honey, and Skunk. The trio doesn't commit to officially joining the Clan just yet, but they are willing to try things out.

What issues did you have with Lion Guard’s Final season?

I disclosed them in a separate post but to recap those points; it basically goes against everything the show has established itself upon in the first and second season, retconning word-building, characters, development, morals, lessons, and other elements of the show's DNA, all for the sake of its central story, rather than progressing with the overall story. It feels more like a softcore revamp than a final season (hence why I've often compared it to Bunk'd in terms of quality, or lackthereof) Which is why for me personally, a lot of Season 1-2 episodes that I enjoy (pilot included) are retroactively spoiled because of Season 3's writing (i.e. Janja's poorly paced redemption arc, or Bunga's character assassination, or the final episode proving the villains of one of the earlier episodes in the right). It's frankly a mess. Whether this was done out of last minute rewrites, or as an attempt to be fanservice, or if this weird writing was the plan since day 1, I'll never know, but it doesn't earn much kindness from me.

If I were to bring anything new to the table, I'd say that another ounce of beef I have with Season 3 is with its release. Someone at Disney Jr. apparently thought that it was a smart idea to release every episode of the final season online within a full month, before any of the episodes (sans Battle for the Pride Lands) released on television. The show's advertising directed viewers (both in and out of the show's target demographic) to DisneyNow or watchtlg.netify to see the new episodes. Because of this, I (and I assume many others) watched the new episodes online and called it a day with the show. Barely anyone saw the final episodes when they aired, and because of that, the already stunted viewership of the show had taken a final devastating crash-drive. The show did poorly with reruns and eventually was pulled out of its timeslot almost two months later.

So yeah, Season 3 is just bad in almost every regard. lmao.

(She is missing her two front paws and her jaw has been shattered as a result of being hit by a thunder snake. She lost her mate in the incident)

Bravestep (heroic short haired black tabby tom with a large build, greying face and blue eyes.)

(He has taken Dawnrest under his wing and is her main caretaker in Poppyleafs stead. He's basically adopted her.)
