Seeker Samurai, Heir to the Star Saber clan and Cybertron Sovereign, Starscream !

Born and raised by Star Saber in the art of the blade at a very young age alongside his brother Thundercracker and sister Skywarp, Starscream would rather spend his time tinkering in his lab.

During the Golden Age, he worked as a scientist with his lab assistants, Wheeljack and Jetfire, and would subsequently participate in gladiatorial combats, in which he met young warriors named Megatron and Optronix "Orion" Pax/Optimus Prime, who taught him the art of Deception and Honor respectively. During this time, Star fell in love with a Six Clan ninja named Nightbird, which would later result in their son, Nightscream.

When the war broke out, he was hesitant to join a side, until Skywarp convinced him and Thundercracker to join the Decepticons, who cloned the triplets inyo an army dubbed "The Seekers". After several years of experiencing the horrors of war and watching his wife and his own father die at his leader's hands, Starscream plotted to usurp Megatron and have a truce with Optimus Prime. However, most of those plans have failed.

In the year 1962, the Nemesis intercepted the ARK on its way to Earth, only for the vessel to crash on Earth. During the first few days, both factions had an encounter with a certain Amazing Spider-Man… After a brief interaction with Peter, Starscream and Thundercracker joined the Autobots, though Megatron couldn't care less since he replaced Star with Nightscream.

During their time with the Autobots, Starscream grew attached to Bumblebee and Arcee. (They both view him as a father figure of sorts though he only sees them as his students.)

At some point, Starscream would sacrifice his life to save Earth and Cybertron from Unicron, though he was resurrected alongside Star Saber and Nightbird.

From time to time, Starscream would go to Earth and work as an instructor at Top Gun.

I would like help finding a fic I read back in 2022!

It was on ao3 and was multi chapter. Steve and Eddie were together, and living in a bigger city (perhaps Chicago but I’m not sure). They had been together a long time and the focus of the story was I think when they are both in their 40s?

It was pretty angsty overall but the main thing I remember is that it had an unhappy ending. Eddie and Steve have a conversation towards the end of the fic where Steve asks if Eddie is happy and he says that he isn’t. Eddie tells him he feels trapped (or something very similar) and moves out.

I also recall that Steve was hopeful that they would get back together after seeing Eddie post breakup, but they didn’t. Not sure if it was part of a series or not
