Session 99  (Date: 27th November 2020)

Summary

- Moonday, 15th Desnus in the year 815 (Second Era). Summer.

- The party begin this session, mid morning near the edge of the massive Kranun’s Crater. Dozens of dead bodies litter the rocky ground, comprised of Orcs and Cult Enforcers, the result of the large battle the party fought last session. There is no sign of any body, armour or weapon of the Champion Of Tiamat.

- The party are all injured, with Gim and Labarett being very badly wounded. With no other choice, the party stop to rest for an hour, to recover somewhat before continuing. The dead bodies are searched, some coin and gems are found but more importantly another of the Dragontooth Daggers is found on the dead body of Ixusaxa Terrorsong, officer of the Cult.

- Seated together, Trenchant plays a melancholy tune on his lute. He looks over at Sir Krondor and Labarett, who are seated nearest to him, and sees the same troubling expression as the one he wears. Trenchant speaks softly, so only the three of them can hear, “The words that Champion Of Tiamat spoke. They’re familiar. I can’t place them though. I can see by your expressions, the words are familiar to both of you as well.”

- Sir Krondor nods, and replies in a low voice, “Aye, the words ring familiar. Can’t say how, or where.”

- In a low voice, Labarett speaks, “Yes, the words he spoke, they do sound familiar to me too. I don’t think any of the others recognised them. It must have been from something that we heard before joining this group maybe?”

- Unable to piece the mystery together, they sit listening to the sad tune plucked by Trenchant’s fingers.

- After resting for some time, the party decide not to descend the stone steps that spiral down the steep two hundred feet high walls of crater, but instead enter into the dark narrow tunnel that the Orcs and Champion Of Tiamat used.

- The natural cavern passageway, is narrow and descends at a constant angle. After following it for some time the party, which is still disguised as Orcs, can see light coming from a large cavern ahead. There is the strong smell of alcohol coming from the cavern. Labarett goes in first, as he can speak Orc, and tries to act like an Orc.

- When the rest of the party enter, one of the larger Orcs, challenges the party as to who they are and why they are here. Though the party look like Orcs, though do not share a similar appearance to the Burning Banner Tribe. Labarett immediately throws himself into an unarmed fight with this large Orc, and eventually gains the upper hand. When Trenchant, disguised as an Orc riding a Direwolf, leaps into the room and destroys a makeshift wooden table, the rest of the drunken Orcs decide not to challenge the “new Orcs” any further, and return to their drinking.

- The party continue through the large cavern and follow another narrow, winding natural passageway until they come to second large cavern. This cavern has a horrible smell, with rotting garbage piled high in the centre, and a half eaten dead Orc visible on the floor. When Labarett enters the room, sneaking across, he sees four large dog like creatures, that have a sickly, almost deathly appearance. The dogs attack the party, as the party try to stay out of range of the dogs who are tethered by chains to the wall. Luckily, the party dispatch the diseased dogs before they become inflicted too.

- Now the party proceed onwards following another narrow natural passageway. This time, the passageway goes for a considerable distance, constantly descending and slowly curving around to follow the crater boundary. Eventually, after a long time, the party see up ahead a large cavern, that is well lit, and from the noise, has many occupants.

- Labarett enters the cavern, confident as he is still disguised as an Orc. In the large cavern, there is a large group of Orcs, seated or standing around this living quarters. A large muscular Orc sits upon a Worg, this must be Narle Shieldbiter, the leader of the tribe. Shieldbiter is kicking a small Goblin dressed only in a lone cloth, apparently just for his amusement. Around the cavern are half a dozen well dressed Orcs, with red robes worn over chainmail, longswords with painted red blades and well kept shields hung on their backs. Each of these unusual Orcs also have their hands painted red. One the Red Hand Orcs walks towards Labarett and raises his red hand, fingers outstretched. The Orcs eyes seem to cloud over for a second, becoming completely white, and a deep voice speaks in Orcish, a voice that seems louder and deeper than a Orc should make, “These are not Orcs. They are disguised by magic. Deal with them.”

- The Orcs eyes become normal again and then in a different voice, more Orc like, he barks in Orcish, “Tricksters! Attack!”

- The battle starts immediately with the party rushing in. Varis fires an arrow at Shieldbiter, straight and true, but one of the Red Hand Orcs flings his arms out, screaming, and the arrow turns mid flight and instead changes direction to strike the Red Hand Orc in the heart, killing it.

- As the rest of the party rush in, and see these strange Red Hand Orcs, Trenchant summons a Stinking Cloud over three of them which keeps them out of the battle, as they spend the rest of the combat coughing and unable to do anything.

- The remaining Orcs attack the party. The Red Hand Orcs appear to be able to somehow control the other Orcs to make them able to attack faster and more often. Ragnar summons a Flaming Sphere of fire which he directs to move around the room, burning enemies. Sir Krondor and Gim are cutting down Orc after Orc. Varis keeps his distance, letting loose arrows into the noisy fray. Trenchant uses his Rapier’s Wit on any single Orcs that get separated from the battle, and Labarett rages into foes, cutting them down.

- Eventually, Shieldbiter and all the Orcs outside of the Stinking Cloud are killed. Sir Krondor and Gim enter the toxic cloud, trying to find and kill the last three Red Hand Orcs, whilst Labarett uses the power of the Black Dragon Mask to easily navigate the Cloud and engage the foes. When Trenchant dismisses the Cloud, the party easily dispatch the remaining foes.

- The room is filled with dead bodies and one small injured and terrified Goblin. Another passageway leads on but a warning written in fresh paint, in Orcish read, “Death! Stay Out!”

<And as the party contemplate how to proceed, and who this Goblin is, that is the end of the session.>

আজ রবিবার (২২ নভেম্বর) চট্টগ্রাম চেম্বার অব কর্মাস এন্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজ কার্যালয়ে এ চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্টিত হয়েছে।

বাণিজ্যিক সম্পর্কের রোডম্যাপ প্রণয়নে ‘জাপান-বাংলাদেশের বন্ধুত্বের ৫০ বছর পূর্তিঃ আগামী এক দশকের পরিকল্পনা’ শীর্ষক যৌথ প্রকল্পের বিষয়ে হয়েছে এই সমঝোতা ।

জাপানের সাথে বাংলাদেশের বাণিজ্যিক সম্পর্ক উন্নয়নে পরিকল্পনা, বিনিয়োগে সমস্যা ও সম্ভাবনা চিহ্নিত করতে একটি যৌথ প্রকল্প। এর আওতায় চিটাগাং চেম্বার, জাপান এক্সটার্নাল ট্রেড অর্গানাইজেশন  (জেটরো) এবং জাপান-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার আগামী ১০ বছরের জন্য রিসার্চ ও ডেভেলপমেন্ট নিয়ে কাজ করবে।
