I hate to be That GuyTM, but I just wanted to see if there’s any status update on 12.16 since it’s been about a year. Figured you were probably busy judging by prior comments but wasn’t sure if you had any date in mind for the next chapter.

Sorry I'm on Tumblr very sporadically these days and just saw this in my asks. Honestly, I have been writers blocked for awhile now. I have a partial chapter three written but everything I want to do is just not going.

A lot of it honestly I think is because I just got burnt out. I was putting out 5-10k chapters mostly every week for like a year and then the sequels and other stories.

It's still something I'm determined to finish even if not in the original capacity that I preferred. The last story was gonna be another sprawling epic but I think I need to scale it back and just end it appropriately with an opening to do everything else I wanted in the future because I hate leaving people hanging.

I’m with you 1000%. We needed more Agent Carter. Sousa did show up on Agents of SHIELD in the last season, but I was dying for appearances from Peggy and Howard. At least they’ll make an appearance in the What If series!

I am actually writing a story right now with their reactions. lol mwahahahahaha. It's almost finished. Possibly will be out this weekend.

Tony and Mike DO improve their relationship, they have a begrudging respect for the other. Mike just had to put him through the ringer for everything that Tony put Pepper through in the early days and also to make sure that he really had changed lol

How did Tony's in-laws met Peter? Did you pictured the meeting at all before? If not, it's ok. I was just curious.

Hmmm. I honestly had not pictured that scenario before. I could imagine it maybe happening on maybe Morgan's birthday or a big family holiday like Christmas where everyone would be milling about. Mike would very suspiciously be checking out Tony and Peter's interactions like, "Who the heck is this kid?" and wondering if Tony really did have some kind of secret love child like the tabloids had said, but his daughter and everyone vehemently denied. He'd kinda sidle up to Pepper like, "Ginny, did you lie to me?" And of course Pepper is like...what? And Mike kinda nods his head to where Tony and Peter are like having this back and forth rapport discussing something science-y or maybe even something ridiculous like whether you could actually create light sabers from Star Wars. It all clicks for Pepper and she kinda laughs, because honestly, this happens a lot and her Mom had just been sniffing around with the same questions. So Pepper is like, "No, Dad, we never lied. Peter is our bonus son." And she tells her Dad about Aunt May who is canoodling in the corner with Happy and Mike kind of feels embarrassed about it all, and kinda mumbles, "Sorry, I doubted you all." Pepper is like, "Well, let me introduce you to make up for it." And Mike is protesting because lord he really doesn't want to make a scene, he just wanted to make sure Tony was doing right by Pepper. And so Pepper introduces them and is like, "Dad, thought Peter was your son." And Tony kinda puffs out his chest offended and is like, "Um, excuse you, Peter IS my son." Pepper has to explain that he had meant biologically and Tony just doubles down like, "Biology doesn't matter, I invented time travel for this kid, he is MY kid." And Peter is all soft and gooey and maybe has some tears in his eyes because even though Tony had been so attentive and awesome, he had still never heard him really say the words like that before and he kinda smiles softly and nudges him with his elbow like, "You're embarrassing me, Dad." And that's how he claims Tony for the first time. Mike is just awkwardly watching everything unfold but internally grateful that he had been so wrong about Tony. Then the attention focuses back to him and Peter is like, "Hey, you know you look like this guy from this really, really old movie I saw called, 'Dances with Wolves'..." YES. I saw NWH opening night and just...man it broke my heart. Thank you for the message. I like writing out these fun little scenarios. :D

Aww I love ur headcanons. Thank you so much. Do you think Maria was a stay at home mom or was she a career woman? If so, what’s her field?!

We know that Tony had a nanny for years (Ana, maybe?), so while I can definitely see her as more involved in Tony’s day-to-day life than Howard, my guess is that she was a socialite.

 Tony and Pepper named a program after her to commemorate her charity work. I could see her being the driving force for a good portion of Stark Industries’ charitable events.

I love a little scene that @theherothechampiontheinquisitor had in her fic 12.16.1991 where Howard and Tony remembered attending one of Maria’s charity events very differently. Definitely helped further the head canon :D
