1060 aluminum cookee circle
1060 aluminum cookee circle is 0.01mm to 3mm thick and 100mm to 900mm round. Regular tempers include O, H18, H22 and H24. 1060 aluminum circle is an industrial pure aluminum whose aluminum content (mass fraction) is 99.60%. The circle hardness can not be strengthened by heat treatment. The surface of pure aluminum is silvery white, and its density decreases with the increase of purity or temperature. Aluminum circle 1060 features relatively simple production, mature technology and much cheaper prices. With good elongation and tensile strength, it can fully meet the conventional processing requirements (stamping, stretching) with high forming ability. It has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, conductivity and thermal conductivity, but its strength is low. It can be welded by gas welding, hydrogen atom welding and contact welding, and it is not easy to be brazed, and it is easy to bear all kinds of pressure processing, drawing and bending, proving to be a good material for cookees.Aluminum cookee circle can be of many alloys in addition to 1060, such as 1050, 1070, 1100, 3003 and 5052. The main difference lies in end products. 1xxx circles are made into cookees like pots and kettles, but 3003 and 5005 aluminum circles are turned into higher end products, such as high pressure cookers, pizza trays and so on. Those for common cookware are mill finished, but sometimes anodizing and color coating are applied in production of 3003 and 5052 circles to improve the hardness and service life of cookware, which has stimulated the development of anodized aluminum circle and coated aluminum circle.

Classification of aluminum circle discs
Aluminum circle discs can be divided in a few ways: alloy, application, thickness, surface treatment and even color. Their alloys used to cover 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003, 3004 and 5052, but recently 6061 and 7075 has also been taken into account, for the application scope of the circles are being widened with development of the manufacturing process.
Application of the 1xxx discs includes cookware, kitchen utensils, containers and power battery. While 3xxx and 5xxx, boasting better performances in hardness, corrosion resistance and service life, are used in making higher end products such as pressure cookers and pots. The aluminum circle pressure cooker supplied by Haomei belongs to this group. The thickness is usually 4mm and more and diameter can be customized. Though these discs show stronger hardness, they are weaker in tensile strength and elongation, which generally reduces with the decline in aluminum content. The adding of certain alloying metals, however, can make up for this part. Take 5052 for example. Its content of magnesium offsets the loss of aluminum in elongation.
Based on inquiries of our clients, we have found that thickness has also become a key word in their demands. They might want 1mm, 3mm and 6mm etc. As a result, we have developed a 08mm 10mm thick aluminum circle to cater for special needs of clients in thickness. The thickness our production line can deal with is from 0.4mm to 10mm. The regular thickness gap is 0.5mm between two adjoining specifications, but in practice any thickness can be customized. In application, thin aluminum circle discs match disposable kettles, pots and other kitchenware which last only month, and thicker ones, like a 6mm circle sheet, usually lasts much longer after being made into daily objects.
By surface treatment methods there are mirror finish, anodized and color coated aluminum circles discs. An anticorrosion aluminum circle falls on this scope, for both anodizing and color coating aim to improve the corrosion resistance of metals. Anodizing is a method combining physical and chemical properties of aluminium. Aluminium circle pieces are kept in a chemical solution as the anode, during which a hard protective film comes into being. This extends the service life of an aluminum round sheet substantially. The color coating of aluminum discs function in the similar way. The only difference lies in the method. Here circle surfaces obtains a protective layer by paints sprayed onto them rather than chemical reactions.

What influences aluminium circle price
The aluminium circle price fluctuates day by day. However, it does not change randomly. The price has something to do with aluminum ingot price, rolling way, alloy, surface treatment process etc.
As a raw material for all aluminium products, aluminum ingot price is closely related to the price of electricity, relation between demand and supply of oxide aluminium, demand of aluminium sheet roll products and even economic situation. Alloys of aluminium circle for cookwares
  Regular alloys of aluminium circle for cookwares include 1060, 1070, 3003 and 5052, the performances of which are successively better in strength and corrosion resistance.
  1060 aluminum circle belongs to industrial pure aluminum, with high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, but it’s low in strength and machining ability. Easy to withstand various pressure processing, extension and bending, 1060 aluminium circles are widely used in cookwares with low requirements on strength, like kettles, pots etc.
  1070 aluminum circle has the characteristics of high plasticity, corrosion resistance, good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. But the strength is low, it is not strengthened by heat treatment, and the machinability is poor. It can accept contact welding and gas welding. Also a member of 1000 series, it is similar to 1060 in strength and corrosion resistance, used in cookware of months service life.
  3003 aluminum circle is an AL-Mn series alloy, which is the most widely used type of rust-proof aluminum. The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. Therefore, cold working method is used to improve its mechanical properties. Its strength is about 10% higher than 1100, and the formability, adhesion, and corrosion resistance are all good. It’s used in cookware with good corrosion resistance and strength. Thick 3003 aluminium circles can be made into frying pans and quality pots.
  5005 aluminum circle has better performances in both hardness and corrosion resistance than 3003, and its processing ability prove to be excellent, too. With the highest price of the three, 5005 circles are made into high profile cookware like pressure cookers. They can even be anodized and coated, which improves the corrosion resistance of their end products.

Properties of aluminum circle for cookware
An aluminum circle for cookware can be made of many alloys, such as 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003, 3005, 5052 and so on. Its properties are as below.
First, good corrosion resistance. An aluminum circle, whatever alloy it is of, contains a high content of aluminium that “rusts” easily. Aluminium reacts to oxygen far more faster than iron or copper, but in a quite different result. Iron oxide proves to be a dark brown powder that are so porous that oxygen gets through it to oxidize the inner layer of iron and have a new group of iron oxide powder coming into being. Eventually the whole iron piece will get rusty and disappear. Aluminum oxide, on the other hand, appears as a dense layer of solid item attached firmly to the surface of an aluminum circle for cookware. This layer prevents oxide getting in contact with the inner layer of aluminium. That’s why aluminium cookware, if not anodized or coated, gets a white layer on the surface quickly. Please note that this white layer should not be removed, or else your aluminium pot will get thinner and thinner.
Second, fast heat conductivity. Aluminum circle discs have a heat conductivity of 211.9, second only to silver and copper. Then why many people would rather choose aluminium cookware than copper ones? Because aluminum circles are much cheaper and harder.
Third, wide in hardness range. 1050, 1060, 1070 and 1100 aluminum circle sheets are not so hard as 3003 aluminum circle pieces which are less stronger than 5052 circle. This makes cookware manufacturers have great freedom in choosing raw materials. If they aim to make “disposable” pots which last only months, they adopt 1000 series of aluminum circles, but if they are manufacturing high pressure cookers, they will purchase 5052 aluminum circle featured by a stronger hardness and a longer service life.

Other alloys of 1000 series of aluminum circles include 1050, 1060 and 1070, but none of these can compete with 1100 in hardness. 1100 aluminum circle contains an aluminium content of 99%.
