I'll never forget being 11 years old having just watched the Sherlock episode "The Sign of Three" and loving it so much that I posted a poorly photoshopped picture of Sherlock's face over Mary's, then I received anon hate so mean from someone claiming to be a gay man telling me about how I fetishize gay people and force gay couples into confirming to traditional hetero things by letting Sherlock be in a wedding dress.

I was 11 and trying to come to terms with being bi in an unsupportive family, as I am now, and I'm sorry I hurt you random gay man but you made me delete tumblr for like 10 years. So you suck but I hope you realized men can wear dresses whether they're gay or not, and I hope you found love or whatever

Don't knock The Rock

I was 11 in 1960 - at the very peak of my personal baseball fever - when the Tigers shocked and appalled Detroit by trading shortstop Harvey Kuenn, a hometown favorite, to Cleveland for Rocky Colavito.

Much of Detroit went into mourning. I jumped for joy. As a fan of the long ball, I knew that the dashing slugger known as “the Rock” would bring a dramatic new element to the Tigers lineup.

I had endless arguments with my buddies about this and always took Colavito’s side.

I had been a Colavito fan even before he became a Tiger. I knew that in 1958 and ‘59 his home run and RBI totals (83 and 224) were better that those of both Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle - and that in 1959 Colavito hit four home runs in a single game in Baltimore.

Colavito died last week at age 91 and I couldn’t let it pass without saying it one more time: Don’t knock the Rock.

Had to be sent to live with a different family member due to that.
