Different Species [Alpha Marco x omega reader] - part 1
Tumblr media
Important to understand the context
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 - Final
Word count: 1442
Oden's story spoiler from the Wano arc ___
(This takes place about 30 years earlier, 2 years after Momonosuke was born and when Marco was 15 years old)
Marco the Phoenix has recently joined Whitebeard's pirates as an apprentice. On a party night on the ship he suddenly started a routine surprising everyone by introducing himself as alpha, he introduced himself relatively late which led everyone including himself to think he was a beta.
After the routine was over the crew teased him for his new alpha status to which he replied with a shy smile, he didn't think he was an alpha.
Looking around Marco smiles at Oden's family, Toki and Momonosuke, as an alpha then his mate was also an omega and knowing how they are treated in this world he only wished he could find her as soon as possible.
It was only a moment, a few minutes, Toki went to the bathroom and Oden went to fill his drinking mug while Momo played with a beetle, but when Marco looked again he was gone. Getting up abruptly and calling out to him, the whole crew stops and realizes the boy's absence and immediately begins their search.
___
Y/n runs at great speed through the forest dodging deftly through the trees, the wind was in her favor omitting what little scent she had.
After everything that happened in the Kingdom of the Gods as a young girl she was forced to run away and live in hiding, but unfortunately a few months ago her luck had run out. Weakened, she was captured by a vulgar band of pirates who captivated by her pair of wings imprisoned her and cut off her wings to sell. A feeling she would never forget, with those cuts they took away all her freedom along with her ability to fly condemning her to live on the ground.
Shortly after they finished mutilating the young girl of only 15 a man entered the cabin and informed them that he had discovered that she was actually a Lunaria and that the government would pay 100million for any information regarding the whereabouts of one. Even damaged she was still one so they decided to let the wounds heal to try and make it look like they hadn't done it, if it was 100million for one piece of information how much would it be for delivering one? They were going to be rich.
When they stopped at this island Y/n didn't think twice and escaped, although she was trapped without wings to fly off the island. Hiding in the top of a tree Y/n watches as the pirates wander off, luckily the Lunarias present themselves late and their scent was not yet strong enough to make chasing them easy.
'Hey boss look what I found' Y/n's eyes widen at the sight of a child 'A child?' asks the Captain 'I thought we could sell him or just use him to do chores' Sighing the Captain orders the man to go put him on the ship. She frowns, there was no way in the world she would let that happen.
Following him through the trees Y/n waits until he is far enough away from the rest of the crew before reaching down and picking up the child throwing the pirate away with a hard kick.
___
Y/n sighs in relief when they are a good distance away from the pirates. She smiles at the child with watery eyes. 'What's your name?' 'Momo' 'Do you know where your parents are Momo? They are on this island right?' Momo nods 'Then let's go look for them' the boy smiles 'Thank you.'
___
They had been ambushed again by the pirates, Y/n was still running deftly through the trees, but fatigue was starting to get the best of her.
'Momoooo' They hear in the distance and Momo smiles from her place on Y/n's lap 'Dad!'
They weren't right next door, but they would still be able to catch up with them if they kept at it, but unfortunately Y/n makes a mistake and allows herself to relax for a second. At that moment a huge heat runs through her entire body and a deafening pain makes her fall to the ground. Tears stream down her face, there was no worse time to introduce herself even more so as an omega. Forcing a smile she lightly pushes Momo towards the voices calling him 'Momo, I can't anymore. If you run you can. Go' Hesitantly Momo starts to run and Y/n smiles as she loses sight of him just in time for the pirates to get to her.
The moment the pirates catch up to her the excited smell of the alphas hits her making her want to vomit 'Back off you idiots!' 'B-but Captain! It's an omega!' 'That's why! Do you know what she's worth? A Lunaria omega and unmarked, 100million seems little if you think of the price she must have on the black market.... Nobody touches it! None of you idiots have the willpower to mate with her and not mark her' Everyone sighs in disappointment except Y/n who sighs with a little relief.
___
'Momo!' Marco shouts when he sees the child emerge from among the bushes. Momo runs and throws himself at Oden crying wildly. Seeing that he has no wounds the whole crew smiles 'Let's go back'
Momo's eyes widen going into despair 'N-no!' Everyone looks shocked 'How not Momo?' 'They took me! And-and then she saved me b-but they took her!' 'She?' Momo nods and Oden sniffs Momo realizing the scent on him 'An omega' Oden laughs 'I don't think we can leave the one who saved my son behind, much less fail to teach a lesson to the one who messed with Whitebeard's pirates' Everyone laughs and agrees with Oden.
___
The pirates were quick to carry Y/n back to the ship, one of them had seen the flag of the Whitebeard Pirates and as such wanted to get off the island as quickly as possible.
Y/n cries, that damn rut hurt horrors and all those disgusting smells around him were only making everything hurt more. A loud bang from the top side of the ship brings her temporarily out of her daze. What was going on?
___
Those pirates were certainly cowards in the face of Whitebeard's name, knocking out a few more of them Marco makes his way to the hold in search of the omega that saved Momo. As soon as he opens the door he is overcome by a tremendously delicious smell that makes his entire alpha purr, rushing towards the smell he finds an omega with tan skin and white hair.
Marco breaks the bars with a strength he didn't know he had immediately taking the omega in his arms. Relaxing as he feels her purr against his chest he rushes back out of the basement shouting that he had found her.
___
She didn't know what it was, her mind was too foggy to clearly register anything, but shortly after that bang she was caught and enveloped in a comforting warmth and delicious smell. She couldn't stop herself from relaxing and snuggling further into the source of the warmth and smell that seemed to do wonders to soothe her pain.
___
When they finally return to the ship some betas try to remove Y/n from Marco, but are stopped by a loud growl from the younger alpha who pulls away pressing the omega more into his chest.
'Come on Marco she has to go to the infirmary' Izou argues, but it only seems to serve to intensify the alpha's growl.
Marco eventually failed to yield Y/n and had to be held so that she could be taken away, two or three ended up flying as they removed her from Marco's arms and she emitted a loud whine at the loss of contact causing him to struggle even more to retrieve the omega.
Some time after Y/n has been taken to the infirmary and her scent has started to fade Marco seems to calm down 'It's normal, the alpha instincts are still new to you and this is the first unmarked omega you've seen, even more so in heat it's hard to have control' Justified his companions.
Marco sighs, a huge headache seems to arise from all his struggle. He had really lost control with that omega, but according to the others they couldn't be mates since they were of different species, she was a Lunaria and he human. Even knowing this he couldn't ignore the way his inner alpha longed for her and protested that she was his.

1/5 You know, I was so broken about that MC game for so many reasons. (plus real life didn't go well either... ugh). Particularly it was Ox's debut! He's a player that I genuinely want to do well before he even played for us as he is exactly what I would do if I'm a footballer. He genuinely believes in the club and Klopp, even prefer a pay cut over Arsenal.(I told my friend that I would prefer a pay cut to play under Klopp lol) How many footballers do that?
I hope he’ll get his justice when he’s in the starting 11. Secondly, Sadio… Can’t say it was totally unjustified because lifting his leg & collide with the opponent’s face can consider as a dangerous act. (However, like you all have said, could be yellow if goalie wasn’t injured) But what made me feel devastated was Sadio didn’t had the intentions to hurt the goalie :( And the impact of Sadio’s card on the rest of our players was totally 180* What would have been if it’s a yellow?
And because this is an important year for Klopp, this lost made it more heart wrenching. There seems to be more and more doubters within the fans as time goes on. They didn’t understand that Klopp is a manager that builds a team, not buying one. Building something needs time. It can’t be done instantly. Klopp is a manager that nurtures talents, turning them into diamonds. He not only cares about the sport, but also his players and the fans. I have never seen that on other managers before.
As a fan of Klopp since his Dortmund days, I know his capabilities and it’s very sad to see people losing their faith on him. But no matter what happens, I will no doubt continue to support and believe in him. But part of me is glad that there is this wake up call. Wake up from the Arsenal trashing dream because although we were good, we are still miles away from a title winner. (we looked good because frankly speaking they were awful in that game).
The positive of the MC game is, this came early in the league. Because with this lesson, the team will able to learn the lesson and still have time to change things. Waiting for a good comeback on Wednesday :) It’s Anfield! Also waiting for Phil to make a good comeback ;)
Thank you for the messages. And yes. Agree with it all. It’s easy to forget the tough times, and hard to understand that we don’t have the Russian mafia or Oil money backing us that we can splash 100million+ on 18 year-olds. We are trying, and these are steps in the right direction. Thank god for sensible heads like FSG up there.
Lewandowski and Hummels cost 6M combined, Kagawa/Piszczek were for free, Aubameyang was 9M - and look at where they are now. That’s just how he is. He makes a diamond out of the rough. It’s just that the English football culture is toxic. I love English football, but it’s one of the things I appreciate about Bundesliga. Apart from Bayern who can buy whoever they want (even then someone like Hummels cost approx. 35M) the League isn’t made of money. So their fans aren’t all high up in the clouds.
In addition, we were bound to get thrashed. Arsenal do it on a daily basis, Spurs got thrashed 6-1 by Newcastle. Atleast for us it was City. But like you said, its good it came early. Time to learn and move on.
P.S: Hope real life is treating you better now :)

Where do Tottenham go now? It’s the end of Project Poch (part 1) and fresh blood is needed
Simmering beneath the dejection and defense in the aftermath or defeat in the Champions League final was a feeling that this Tottenham side may have reached the very end of a natural cycle.
It has been an epic journey together. They will never forget those acts of escapology in the group phase, that equalizer in Barcelona the nerve-shredding tension of VAR-assisted victory at Manchester City or the emotional high in Amsterdam .
They came up short in Madrid but, as Harry Kane made for the bus with ear plugs and eyes fixed on the floor, and Moussa Sissoko pulled up his hood and avoided eye contact , key questions were already forming …
Tottenham's Champions League final defeat seemed like the very end of a natural cycle
Pochettino after a new challenge?
Certainly, this is the end of Project Poch 1. Even the man himself says it's time for a 'new chapter', time to 'think like a big club', with a glittering new stage to go with their status as Champions League finalists.
More cryptic comments about Mauricio Pochettino's own future as Tottenham manager, however, only served to fuel doubts about whether there will be Project Poch 2. Is he hankering after a different challenge, as he hinted before the Champions League semi-final? Daniel Levy?
Post-match in Madrid, Pochettino said it was a time to be 'proud' and 'positive' but 'not a moment to talk' about his own situation. All questions to the players about their manager were shut down by club press officers.
There are doubts about whether or not Mauricio Pochettino plans on staying much longer
If there is not an issue – and sources close to Spurs do not expect him to quit with four years left on his contract – then one has been artificially created for whatever reason.
Last season ended with similar noises from the manager about the need to 'be brave' and 'take risks' in the quest for 'the biggest trophies'.
In fact, nothing changed: they signed no one, kept everyone and produced a successful season. The overriding feeling inside the camp is that they cannot afford to repeat this policy. There is money to spend and the squad needs energizing, but it is a balancing act.
On the move
Christian Eriksen was so long the creative heartbeat of this team but his form has faded, only a year remains on his contract and his mind is set on leaving. He has no intention of discussing a new deal, wants to play in Spain and Real Madrid will move for him. Levy has made it known negotiations will start at north of £ 100million.
Toby Alderweireld, also a year from the end of his contract, has a clause which entitles him to leave for just £ 25m. Manchester United have long-standing interest and such a move would be lucrative. But to swap White Hart Lane for Old Trafford is down to trade for the Europa League. There is a suspicion Alderweireld plans to leave on a free at the end of his contract.
Of the other, Fernando Llorente and Michel Form are out of contract, and Jan Vertonghen has signed for one more year, but there is a feel of a natural break-up and a need to reinvest.
Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Vincent Janssen (again), and will consider offers for first-choice full backs Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier.
Christian Eriksen looks on during what was most likely his final game for Tottenham
New faces
After 18 months without signings, the Tottenham squad needs the tonic of new faces and the top priority is two new midfielders, with the club depleted by Mousa Dembele's exit in January, Wanyama's unreliability and Eric Dier's problems with
Tanguy Ndombele is the club's top target and they are committed to working hard for this transfer, but the France international will not come cheap. Lyon for more than £ 80m, double Tottenham's record transfer.
Other clubs are also interested and that rarely plays out well for Spurs, who are thought to have a transfer kitty or around £ 50m plus whatever they can raise from sales.
They are already moving on Argentina midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, who has an £ 88m buyout clause, and Real Betis are preparing to cash in on the player they signed for £ 20m from PSG in January . Summer bids for full backs Ryan Sessegnon, or Fulham, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, or Crystal Palace, are also planned. A lack of home-grown players left Spurs short in their UEFA squad this season.
Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is the club's top target in the summer transfer window
They will need invention if they lose Eriksen, and are keen on Nicolo Zaniolo, or Roma, and Donny van de Beek, or Ajax. The model remains to target young prospects with years ahead and potential resale value.
Wilfried Zaha, looking for a move out of Palace, is likely to cost too much, and hopes of signing Jack Grealish this summer have vanished with Aston Villa's promotion. There is no interest in Andre Gomes, who was on loan at Everton from Barcelona last season, despite persistent links.
Existing talent
Tottenham have plenty of talent in the building and hope players return to form after a summer's rest. No team were more diminished by World Cup exertions and it took its toll on the thinnest squad of the Premier League's big six clubs.
England stars Kane, Trippier, Dele Alli and Dier have all suffered injuries since playing in Russia. Hugo Lloris has been uncharacteristically erratic. They and others need to rest bodies and minds, but they will be back. "We have a great team," Vertonghen said after the final. "Hopefully everyone can stay together and we can achieve great things.
" We can take confidence from this season. We did very well, it was very exciting, it was great to experience this but we did not come here as tourists. We wanted to win and we failed. Today we live with disappointment and we'll see what happens in the summer. "
The likes of midfielder Dele Alli will benefit hugely from having a full summer to rest
Building from defeat
Liverpool did it. Liverpool came back from disappointment in Kiev 12 months ago to produce a fabulous season in the biggest competitions and reclaim the European title. It was done with heavy recruitment, as Pochettino is never slow to point out.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker (£ 65m) was commanding in the final. Virgil van Dijk (£ 75m) is arguably the world's best center half since rising to the Anfield challenge. Fabinho (£ 43m) and Naby Keita (£ 53m) bolster Liverpool's midfield.
If the recruitment policy is sound, such huge fees can still deliver good value and Pochettino feels Spurs should compete in this market if they are to move on. Deep down, though, the feeling is they are not about to cut loose.
Harry Kane walks past the Champions League trophy following Saturday's defeat
" It's difficult to compare both projects, said captain Lloris when asked about following Liverpool's example. "There is one club who sets out to win every competition in which they play, and that's not the case with Tottenham.
" We work and try to stick with the philosophy of the board, manager and the club . We look to improve every season and we have shown improvements year after year, so we cannot throw everything in the bin after a Champions League final defeat.
'It's a big step for the club and the only thing we can look to do is come back stronger next season. "

“We take the protection of our customers’ data very seriously.”

Be wary of any suspicious emails or phone calls claiming to be from British Airways incase they are from scammers trying to take advantage of the situation.
The National Crime Agency said it was aware of the data breach affecting BA and was consulting with partners, including the National Cyber Security Centre, to assess the best course of action.
A spokesman for the Information Commissioner’s Office said they would be making inquiries about the data theft.
Alex Neill of Which? said: “British Airways customers will be concerned to hear about this data breach. It is now vital that the company moves quickly to ensure those affected get clear information about what has happened and what steps they should take to protect themselves.
“Anyone concerned they could be at risk of fraud should consider changing their online passwords, monitor bank and other online accounts and be wary of emails regarding the breach as scammers may try and take advantage of it.”
This is not the first customer relations problem to affect the airline in recent times.
How to keep yourself safe from hackers and scammers
HERE’s how to stay safe online

In 2017 a computer meltdown forced British Airways to cancel 726 flights over three days.
It left 75,000 passengers stranded and lost the company around £100million.
Its chief executive said at the time it would take steps to ensure such an incident never happened again.

But in July this year another IT issue at BA led to further flight cancellations and delays, affecting more than 10,000 passengers.
The month before, more than 2,000 BA passengers had their tickets cancelled because the prices were too cheap.
BA apologised for the error on flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai, but customers said they were angry their tickets were not being honoured.
