After about 11 months and 777.5 hours of work I am finally done and I am obsessed with the end result

〔You clumsily reach for one of your earrings and take it off. Even when you sleep, you wear studs. It feels kind of strange to go without!〕

〔You're not sure why you picked up the chain in the House. But... it gives you the chance to do this.〕

〔You hook it through one of the chain links and carefully slip on the back.〕

"So... until we're both ready. Until we know for sure! How about a promise?"

"A promise?" Sif echoes.

〔With all the caution in the world, you slip the chain around Sif's neck. They don't flinch. And... neither do you.〕

Lilo & Stitch is, and probably will remain for the foreseeable future, the Disney animated film that is more antithetical to everything about Disney as a company than any other Disney animated film. Unfortunately it is also owned by Disney which effectively commodified every subsequent use of the characters back into conformity with every other Disney property. Which leaves the original film itself kind of an orphan - isolated from its creator by its own nature, its various sequels and merchandise and etc belonging to Disney with no bearing on the film, and innately difficult to engage with on its own terms by the nature of the larger population of the Disney fandom also aligning more with Disney as a corporation and not that specific film.

It's almost like some kind of secret experimental creation which normally would have been destroyed by all the acceptable corporate governance under Disney, but it managed to escape and find the weirdos and exiles of the world who could appreciate it or something

My first project completed during The 100 Days Project! I saw this comment in a "vaguely threatening corporate speak" video and couldn't get ot out of my mind. I had to chart it out immediately.

I've decided that (other than this 😅🤞) I'm going to work on WIP from my 100 Days. Hopefully I can work through what I have laying around to make room for other new projects!

Playing around with Procreate brushes is quite fun! I'm quite pleased with how the Treasure Planet background came out.

Initially I was thinking of painting very simple and basic backgrounds for Toontown and the Disney Castle, but I ended up liking the collage effect that comes from using photos / screenshots.

So I read A Stitch in Time and one result of that which I was certainly not expecting was that I feel so much sympathy for Enabran Tain. Garak's life is a tragedy, but Tain's is a fucking black comedy.

I mean, he's a terrible person and an absolute shitbag, but can you imagine? You have this kid. You go to all the trouble of arranging for him to be raised in a family situation where he won't be rejected from society for being your bastard. You get him into the nicest indoctrination school where he can hobnob with plenty of uppercrust kids. You get him a job in your Order and all the proper training. And he's actually, like, really good at it. But he has this fatal flaw of being completely incapable of not making stupid, short-sighted, emotional decisions.

A scene I imagine has to have happened just prior to Garak and Tain's confrontation at the end of part II:

Like goddamn. When Tain asked "what's your plan for getting rid of her husband?" and Garak's just like "plan what plan." Dude. I'M disappointed, I can only imagine the guy who's job it is to know and plan for everything isn't at least as disappointed.

I know he didn't actually, but do you think there was ever a time when Tain wanted to be like, You know what. Just go back to Tolan and become a gardener. Join that illegal hippie cult. It's fine.
