Thank you @ivory--and--gold for the tag✨
1. what do you prefer to be called name-wise?
Olli is great, but Oli and Ozzie are cool too
2. when is your birthday?
4th of October
3. where do you live?
Italy
4. three things you are doing right now?
I'm currently making coffee, I'm waiting for my stepdad to send me pictures of the new cat and I'm thinking about Venus in Fur (the 2011 version with Hugh Dancy)
I've seen it twice in two days, I seriously can't stop thinking about it (@fieropasto I know we've never talked before but god your content is amazing)
5. four fandoms that have piqued your interest?
Ouf... At the moment I'd say Pacific Rim (gay scientists!) and Hannibal
6. how has the pandemic been treating you?
next question? I'm kidding of course
I miss people, I miss my friends, I miss the city. I'm a very physical person and the fact that I can't hug a friend or hold hands or braid their hair or rest my head on someone's shoulder is... tiring to say the least
It should have been the year of my new beginning, the year when I'd finally take control of my life, but frankly, control is slipping away from me
I am thinking about actually looking for a therapist tho (because gender) and I am slowly starting not to hate my sister?Maybe?? I don't know
7. a song you can’t stop listening to right now?
Runs in the Family by Amanda Palmer and Ho Visto Un Re by Enzo Jannacci
8. recommend a movie?
Pacific Rim obviously (I've never watched Uprising and I don't think I'll ever want to)
9. how old are you?
I'm 19
10. school, university, occupation, other?
I'm on my first year of university, I'm studying lettere classiche (I guess people could call it ancient literature? But there's also history and other very cool subjects)
11. do you prefer heat or cold?
Definitely cold, you can always use one more blanket, or add another layer if you're really freezing. Also I have a big problem with summer clothes so yeah definitely cold
When I was a kid I was always lending my jacket to my friends because they were always cold, and my grandmother keep saying that I didn't need my jacket because my blood boils
12. name one fact others may not know about you
I have a complex relation with food, and I cannot stand waste. My grandpa used to say that my ancestors suffered from a great hunger and that they gave this hunger to me. I don't really know how to react to this information
13. are you shy?
I guess you could say I'm shy
14. pronouns
they/them or he/him
15. biggest pet peeves
People who waste food, or things in general
People who believe their argument is right only because they are calm and collected (I'm usually not calm nor collected when I'm arguing about stuff I really care about and this is usually interpreted as "your point of view is wrong because you're crying")
Black humor that is not really black humor
16. what is your favorite “-dere” type?
??? I have literally no idea of what this is
17. rate your life from 1 to 10, 1 being crappy and 10 being the best it could be
I guess 6,5/7
I just had my cup of coffee, life is smiling on me
18. what’s your main blog?
This one!
19. list your side blogs and what they’re used for
This is my only blog, I'm afraid I'd spend too much time on Tumblr if I had more than one blog
20. is there something people need to know about you before becoming friends?
I still can't always understand if a person is being sarcastic or if they're telling me the truth and this can lead to awkward moments
Also I love talking to new people but eh, I don't really know how to keep a conversation going, and I usually say random things because my mind thinks silence is a sign the other person doesn't care about me✌️
I tag @c0smicbean, @artvmvs, @dame-de-challant, @mydadsoldrecordcollection and @voidnatasha

Manga the Week of 12/`16/20
SEAN: As we get closer to the holidays, we get more and more books being published.
ASH: This turn of events pleases me.
MELINDA: And me.
SEAN: Cross Infinite World has a new title, I Reincarnated As Evil Alice, So the Only Thing I’m Courting Is Death!. Our heroine dies and is reincarnated in an otome game, and she *is* the heroine this time… but the game is notorious for having almost all bad ends. Expect a lot of Alice in Wonderland vibes here as well.
No debuts for J-Novel Club, but a heaping helping of ongoing digital light novels. We get An Archdemon’s Dilemma 11, Arifureta 11, I Refuse to Be Your Enemy! 4, The Intrigue of Marielle Clarac (Book 5 in that series), Slayers 4, and The Sorcerer’s Receptionist 2. Phew!
Kodansha has some print. We get Drifting Dragons 7, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest 6, Gleipnir 8, the 2nd Magic Knight Rayearth manga box set, which will finish the series, and also has a bonus artbook. That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime 15 and UQ Holder 21 are also out.
ASH: I’ve really been enjoying Drifting Dragons. I’ve also somehow never actually read Magic Knight Rayearth yet.
SEAN: Digitally the debut is I Guess I Became the Mother of the Great Demon King’s 10 Children in Another World (Isekai de Saikyou Maou no Kodomo-tachi Juunin no Mama ni Nacchaimashita), which sounds like your standard isekai but is also by Ema Toyama, author of Missions of Love and other shoujo classics. This is not shoujo: it runs in Shonen Sirius. A girl whose mother has died plays the game the mother never finished… and finds herself in another world.
ASH: Ema Toyama, you say? That piques my interest a bit more than just the title alone.
MELINDA: I don’t read much digitally, but this intrigues me as well, almost entirely because of the author.
SEAN: There is also Dolly Kill Kill 9, Dr. Ramune -Mysterious Disease Specialist- 2, GE: Good Ending 12, Heroine for Hire 4 (the final volume), Kakushigoto 10, Orient 9, Shaman King: The Super Star 2, Shojo FIGHT! 14, and The Writer and His Housekeeper 3.
MICHELLE: I really, really need to get caught up on Shojo FIGHT!.
SEAN: One Peace has a 3rd manga volume for The Reprise of the Spear Hero.
Debuting from Seven Seas is Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! Everyday Misadventures! (Watashi, Nichijou wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!), the 4-koma spinoff of Mile’s antics that everyone wanted. It runs in Comic Earth Star.
Also out from Seven Seas: Goodbye My Rose Garden 3 (the final volume) and Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear’s 4th novel (digital-first).
MICHELLE: I wouldn’t say Goodbye, My Rose Garden was an amazing series, but it was certainly good enough to read the third and final volume.
ASH: I still need to read the second volume (and now soon the third), but I found the first volume to be enjoyable.
SEAN: Sol Press, after what seems like 80,000 years, has the second Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World light novel.
Tokyopop has the 2nd and final volume of No Vampire, No Happy Ending.
Vertical gives us the 4th Katanagatari omnibus digitally (I will keep repeating this till it’s correct), Kino’s Journey 7, and With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun 2.
MICHELLE: I really liked the first volume of With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun and am eagerly anticipating the second.
MELINDA: Always here for Kino’s Journey, too.
SEAN: They also have Zoku-Owarimonogatari, the final, absolutely the last, no take backs, Monogatari Series novel. Unless they license the others that came after this.
Viz’s debut is Remina, another helping of Junji Ito just in time for winter. This is sci-fi, but still just as terrifying. It ran in Big Comic Spirits.
MICHELLE: I am down for this sci-fi/horror blend!
ASH: Yup! I’m here for this one, too.
MELINDA: Yes!
SEAN: Also from Viz: Blue Flag 5, Golden Kamuy 19, Levius/est 7, Maison Ikkoku Collector’s Edition 2, and No Guns Life 8.
ANNA: Glad that Maison Ikkoku is being rereleased and looking forward to Blue Flag.
MICHELLE: What Anna said.
ASH: I should actually read Maison Ikkoku now that it is readily available again.
MELINDA: I should be buying them, since I never managed to acquire a full collection of the original release!
SEAN: Yen On has a truly terrifying number of light novels coming out. The first debut is The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken). We’ve seen a mini-rebirth of the non-fantasy romcom in recent licenses, and this falls into that category. A guy lends his neighbor his umbrella one day, she offers to help around his house in return, and a relationship blossoms.
The second debut is a spinoff, Goblin Slayer Side Story 2: Dai Katana. This apparently goes into the past of Sword Maiden.
There is also (deep breath): Accel World 23, The Alchemist Who Survived Now Dreams of a Quiet City Life 5, Baccano! 15, The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy 2, The Devil Is a Part-Timer 18, The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) 5, Suppose a Kid From the Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town 4, and Torture Princess 6.
ASH: That is a fair number of light novels!
SEAN: On the Yen Press side, there’s even more. Debut #1: 86, the manga adaptation of the grim military fantasy light novel series. It runs in Young Gangan.
Carole and Tuesday runs in Young Ace, and I believe is the rare case where the anime comes first and the manga follows. Girls who want to be musicians… on Mars!
ANNA: I watched half of the anime….
ASH: I do like musicians… and Mars…
MELINDA: I… kind of want it. Though I’m not sure how to interpret the fact that Anna only watched half of the anime.
SEAN: Not quite a debut, but we do see Overlord: The Complete Anime Artbook.
Strawberry Fields Once Again (Strawberry Fields wo Mou Ichido) is a yuri romance that seems to have a twist to it. It ran in Mediaworks’ @ vitamin.
And Wolf & Parchment is the manga adaptation of the sequel to Spice & Wolf.
Also from Yen: ACCA 13-Territory Inspection Department P.S. 2, The Devil Is a Part-Timer! 16, Goblin Slayer 9, King of Eden 2, KonoSuba 11, Lust Geass 2, No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular! 17, Plunderer 6, Rascal Does Not Dream of Petit Devil Kouhai (another omnibus), Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Chapter 3: Truth of Zero 11 (the final volume of this arc), Reborn As a Polar Bear 4, The Saga of Tanya the Evil 12, A Witch’s Printing Office 4, and Yowamushi Pedal’s 16th omnibus.
MICHELLE: I am fixin’ to have a YowaPeda catch-up spree and am very happy about that.
ASH: Same! And I always look forward to reading Natsume Ono’s manga, so I plan on picking up the ACCA continuation as well.
SEAN: Any presents from this list you’re giving out?

Nikolai Figner (1857-1918); Russian tenor. He studied singing in St. Petersburg with Ippolit Pryanishnikov and Camillo Everardi and in Naples with De Roxas. Here in Naples in 1882 he made his debut at the Teatro Sannazaro in Gounod's opera "Philémon et Baucis". In the following years he sang at the opera houses of Parma and Bologna and made international guest appearances at London, Madrid, Bukarest and St. Petersburg.. At the opera of Parma he performed in Aida and La Gioconda together with his future wife Medea Mei (they got married in 1889). In 1887-1904 and in 1907 he was engaged at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. In 1887 he sang the title role in the Russian premiere of Verdi 's "Otello" and since 1889 he celebrated here many triumphs together with his wife. The singer couple had a large influence on Russian musical life of their epoch. The with them befriended composer Tchaikovsky completed on their country estate in the vicinity of Tula his opera "Pique Dame", which he dedicated to the two artists. In the premiere in St. Petersburg (1890) Nikolai Figner sang the the role of Hermann and  Medea Mei-Figner the role of Liza. In 1892 they performed in another Tchaikovsky première; Mei-Figner created the title role of Iolanta and Figner the role of Count Vaudémont. In 1903 the  singer couple divorced. In the years 1907/10 he sang at various private opera companies in Russia. During the period 1910/15 he was director of the Narodny Dom Theatre at St. Petersburg. She married him in 1889. They both joined the Imperial Opera in St. Petersburg, where they had very succesfull careers. The singer couple had a large influence on Russian musical life of their epoch. The with them befriended composer Tchaikovsky completed on their country estate in the vicinity of Tula his opera "Pique Dame/Queen of Spades", which he dedicated to the two artists. In the premiere in St. Petersburg (1890) Nikolai Figner sang the the role of Hermann and Medea Mei-Figner the role of Liza. They also created leading roles in the première of Tchaikovsky’s "Iolanta" (1892); Nicolai as Count Vaudémont and Medea as Iolanta. 안전공원 TABLE GLITCH IN GTA 5 ONLINE - (FAST & EASY) #2336
Time spent learning how to play properly is always considered time well spent. A lottery game called "Il Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia" was being played in Italy by about 1530. But other countries, such as Germany and Austria, became the chief 19th-century producers of packs of fanciful cards meant for use in card games in polite society. It concludes the house edge, as measured by the ratio of the expected loss to the mandated two initial wagers, is 4.90%. It goes on to say the average loss to the total amount wagered, what I call the Element of Risk, is 2.38%.
When it got its way to other continents like the United States, many casinos promoted the game by giving an additional winning to any player who had a blackjack winning hand. Ten years ago you couldn't find a Caribbean Stud Poker table in any casino in the USA. Nowadays, virtually every major casino has at least one Caribbean Stud Poker table and in fact, most casinos have two or more tables. Generally, 2s, 3s, or 7s can be split unless the dealer has an 8, 9, ten-card, or ace. Finally, 6s should not be split unless the dealer's card is poor (2 through 6). Among these, and the remaining numbers and possible bets, there are a myriad of systems and progressions that can be used with many combinations of numbers.
Tumblr media
French playing cards (jeu de cartes) are cards that use the French suits of trèfles (clovers or clubs♣), carreaux (tiles or diamonds♦), cœurs (hearts♥), and piques (pikes or spades♠). Each suit contains three face cards; the Valet (Knave or Jack), the Dame (Lady or Queen), and the Roi (King). Aside from these aspects, decks can include a wide variety of regional and national patterns which often have different deck sizes. In comparison to Spanish, Italian, German, and Swiss playing cards, French cards are the most widespread due to the geopolitical, commercial, and cultural influence of France and the United Kingdom in the past two centuries. Another reason for their expansion was the simplicity of the suit insignia which simplifies mass production and the popularity of Whist, Contract Bridge, and the recent Poker boom. http://www.bbc.co.uk/search?q=카지노사이트 In order to get statistical significant results, millions and millions of games would have to be played. The Paris pattern came to dominate in France around 1780 and became termed as the portrait officiel. The good news? Citizens don't have to pay income taxes since Monaco uses the casino money instead.
This belief is false, and is known as the gambler's fallacy. Aside from these aspects, decks can include the wide kind of regional moreover to national patterns, which often realize different deck sizes. If the dealer does not qualify the player will win even money on his ante wager and the raise will push. -If the dealer qualifies and beats the player, both ante and raise will lose. 우리카지노계열 It seems casino gambling is becoming one of America's national pastimes.
The book was published in 1801. An even earlier reference to a game of this name was published in regulations for New France (Québec) in 1758, which banned the games of "dice, hoca, faro, and roulette". Lay bet maximum are equal to the table maximum win, so if a player wishes to lay the 4 or 10, he or she may bet twice at amount of the table maximum for the win to be table maximum. Many video arcades in Japan feature pachinko models from different times. In the long run, the casinos will be the winners -- those resort hotels and riverboats aren't built to drive themselves out of business by giving money away to the players.
A portion of the pot is taken by the house. In house-banked games the players compete against the house rather than each other. One of the best known systems is the Martingale System. Typically 43 to 48 numbers are pre-drawn at the beginning of a bingo session.Older dealers and players may use the term "Big Red" because craps tables once prominently featured a large red "7" in the center of the layout for the one-roll seven bet. During the comeout, the seven is called "seven, front line winner", frequently followed by "pay the line" and/or "take the don'ts".
Firstly, it is one thing for blackjack dealers to be able to cheat but it is a completely different topic for them to actually cheat. When the player moved the handle on the machine, the reels spun randomly until they were slowed by stoppers within the machine. The object of the game is to beat the dealer. However, this "free odds" bet cannot be made independently, so the expected value of the entire bet, including odds, is still negative. Since there is no correlation between die rolls, there is normally no possible long-term winning strategy in craps.
$10 Place 6,8 bets 0.46% per roll, $4.69 per hour, $94 per trip Vegas being Vegas, the city turned the horror show into a business opportunity, promoting the detonation times via official Chamber of Commerce calendars touting Atomic Bomb Parties and offering special "atomic cocktails" at casino bars. When all the players have placed their bets, the dealer gives one card face up to each player in rotation clockwise, and then one card face up to themselves.Since 1962 there are more than a hundred books written explaining how card counting works.

A Lovely Night of Shadows
Day 1 Theme (a) First meeting & Theme (b) First Date
SFW (Slightly Suggestive)
Word count approx (2470)
After several months on tour across the world, Shadow can now take his 3 week leave and catch some peace and quiet from all the bloodshed and pain he had to endure during those months. As he stepped out of the drop ship several other agents that flew with him rushed out to the terminal to meet their friends and loved ones. Pharah was standing waiting patiently for her mother to come out and see her. Reinhardt tapped him asking if he may pass, of course Shadow stepped aside and let him through “Ahahaha my friends what's with all this standing around, it has been so long!” his voice echoed throughout the base. The rest soon followed leaving him and Jack to be the last two. “Where will you go for the next few weeks?” Jack asked as he was about to step off. “France. I have a favor to do for a friend. What about you sir?” he replied. “A soldier's work never ends, you should know that. I’ll probably be here on base doing paperwork… You don’t have to call me sir anymore those days are over.” Shadow shook his hand before grabbing his bags and headed for his plane. “Get some rest Will you’ve earned it.” Shadow turned but, jack was already gone. “Yes sir”  he muttered to himself. The next drop ship to France landed on the landing pad and a line of agents began forming. Shadow saw a few other agents board including a few who were on tour with him. Shadow took his seat and closed his eyes and awaited yet another flight to his destination.
The drop ship slowly descended down to the landing pad and Shadow could already see the Eiffel Tower from his window. He grabbed his bags and proceeded to the terminal to find numerous other agents wandering around. Shadow walked outside to find a sea of cars building up on the roads. He walked toward the Private Overwatch cars instead of waiting for a cab. Shadow placed his right hand on the driver window, “Access granted bienvenue en France [1] Shadow”. He loaded his bags and drove off to the private hotel.
*At the hotel*  As soon as he got there the place was lit up like Time’s Square. He parked the car and grabbed his bags to check in. “Bonjour, je voudrais une chambre.[2]” The woman behind the counter looked at him and asked “Votre nom [3]?”
“William Nightingale” as he pulled out his ID. She smiled and handed him his key “Merci et j'espère que vous apprécierez votre séjour [4]” He took the key and proceeded to his room. He opened the door and walked in and slowly shut the door behind him. The room was luxurious floor made of marble, couches made of white leather, a black glass dining table sat at the center of the room, 55 inch plasma screen TV, and full kitchen. He turned and walked to the bedroom to set down his bags and glance over at the balcony. The view was breathtaking the Eiffel tower in perfect view with the rest of the beautiful city landscape surrounding him. Shadow reaches into his bag to get a fresh set of clothes along with  silver cross and a dog tag and places them on the night stand. “Might as well take a shower before I head out” he muttered. As the steam cleared up he wipes the mirror to reveal the scar that run across his right eye on his face and begins to get dressed. A midnight blue collared shirt, silver vest, midnight blue slacks, and black oxfords. He grabs the cross and dog tag and puts them in his vest pocket before heading out back to the car. “Off to Les Valides I go” as he starts the car and dashes off.
*At the cemetery*
As shadow closes the door a sense of sadness rolls over him, his heart slowly beats as the wind slowly breezes by his face. He walks around in search of the grave for his fallen comrade. Pual de Sant 1998-2024. Shadow kneels down and pulls out the silver cross and his tag. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you. If only I was faster…” He rested his head on top of the gravestone then stood up and saluted. “Reste en paix ma vieille amie [5]” Shadow checked his watch to see time it is. “Hmm 10:00 o’clock in the evening already.” He decided to take a trip to the bar and catch a drink before heading back.
*At the bar*
E BAR, FOUR SEASONS GEORGE V a place where Shadow and his comrades shared a number of drinks together whenever they were in Paris. As Shadow walked in, he can hear the sound of voices echoing throughout the establishment the scent of fine wine and liquor engulfed the room. He found a empty bar stool and took a seat. “Oi’ William bonjuor!” Shadow looked up to see his old friend and smiled “Bonjour Noe! How have you been?” “Good business as usual. Where are the rest of the boys? Or are all them on leave elsewhere.” Shadow looked down at the bar table And pulled out a photograph of him and his squadron, “Kicks, Hunter, and Pual are dead. Jesse, and Bishop have been medically discharged. I’m all that's left.” Noe set down the glass he was cleaning and reached for the photograph, “I’m sorry Will I know how close you guys were, they were all truly the bravest men I know.” “Thanks Noe they would’ve wanted me to celebrate, to live on for them, to tell their story.” Noe pinned the photo on the wall along with several others. “So William the usual? Old fashioned? Old Overholt rye?” “That would be much appreciated thanks.” “Of course Will” he smiled and turned to mix his drink. Shadow looked down at his watch again and then looked up to find his drink right in front of him. He picked it up and took a sip of his drink and then set it down wiping his lips. “Well, Well, Well, look who do we have here?” Shadow turned to his right  to find Widowmaker sitting right next to him holding a wine glass in her hand. Her yellow cat like eyes trained on his and a smug look on her face. “If it isn’t the Shadow himself.” He looked to his left to find Sombra holding a glass of tequila with the same look. “If you do not mind I’d like to finish my drink and take this outside. You can do whatever you so please then. Widow gave a light chuckle before setting her wine glass on the table and grew closer to him. “You are afraid are you not?” Shadow took another sip of his drink and set it down “No, I’m not. I’m actually surprised Talon would send for their best assassin to kill me now while I’m on leave.” he replied. “Hm tell me, do you really think I was hired to kill you now? And if I did don’t you think you’d be dead already?” She was right if she wanted to she could’ve killed him before he even got close to the bar. Plus why would she need another agent to help her? She’s Talon’s top assassin for a reason. “Oye I still can’t get anything on him, his phone is dark, I can’t even get past the first firewall.” Sombra broke in. “That’s because I already know who you are and I rigged mine to a whole new frequency” Sombra raised an eyebrow.  “Yes and I am well aware of who you are, ma dame. Amelie Lacroix, or now known as Widowmaker. You were kidnapped by Talon brainwashed and enhanced to become their top assassin. Your first assignment was to kill your husband Gerard Lacroix from there you were sent to kill Mondatta, Ana Amari, and you, Sombra and Reaper were both sent to try and assassinate Katya Volskaya, and now I dare ask, what do you want from me?” Widow rimmed the top of her wine glass. “Hmm it seems that your superiors provide you with a heavy amount of details about me but what about her?” as she pointed to Sombra. “Hmph …. Or Sombra is it that most call you now?” just as Shadow said her actual name she eyes widened as she looked as she was about to draw her gun but, widow ordered not to. “Calmate senorita I won’t speak of it again. Now where was I? right, sombra you were an orphan in Mexico trying to live in life hacking your way up until you were picked up by the Los Muertos gang and you hacking spree went viral from Lumerico to Volskaya Industries. At some point you were picked up by Talon due to your impressive hacking skills. Unfortunately I do not recall any other information but, that’s all I need to know anyways.” Both looked at each other in astonishment. “And so I politely ask, if you are not here to kill me what are you here for?” Widow moved her right leg and rested it on Shadows stool “Well you certainly know all about us, however we can not get anything from you. Even my companion can not find anything about you and you’ve certainly piqued her interest quite a bit. So why don’t you come with us on a stroll. Paris is lovely this time of year you know?” Widow drew nearer to Shadows face.“Well ma cheri?” she gave him a wink and sat back. Shadow downed the rest of his drink. As he got up he left a few bills under his glass. Sombra hopped off her stool wondering what was going to happen. Shadow lent a hand to Widow to which she took and got off her stool. “Apres vous. [6]”
*Outside*
Well this is something Shadow didn’t see coming. He was actually having a stroll with two Talon agents. Especially the cold blooded assassin Widowmaker. “So um-” “William or Will if you want.” “Will how is it that you know my actual name?” Sombra asked. William smiled “A man can’t tell you all of his secrets.” Sombra gave him a teasing shove on his shoulder. “Sombra why don’t you ask him something else, this is your chance to actually get to know him.” Sombra sighed before asking, “Ugh fine, how did you lock your phone to how it is now?” Widow rolled her eyes in embarrassment. “What you said to ask him something else?” Shadow took out his phone “Don’t worry it’s fine. Well you see. I changed the diagnostics of my phone and any of my electronics to filter out any unknown sources hence it blacks out on you.” Sombra waved her hand at her face “Dios mio it is hard to find people who can hide like that. I like it.” “Well Ms Lacroix?” “Hmmm? Wait did you just call me-” “I don’t like to call people by their call signs unless they prefer it or just don’t want me to call them by their real name. Something wrong with that?” Widow looked away “N-No I just didn’t think I would hear that name again. So what did you do before you joined, them…?” Shadow pulls out a rifle bullet out of his pocket “I hunted a lot so much that I have trophies all over my home. Bears, Wolves, Elk, whatever was game. I just feel like my life revolves around me and a sniper rifle. It’s just a part of me now. I can’t escape it so I embrace it.” “What about your hacking and programming where did that come from?” sombra piped in, “It’s just something I taught myself. Ever since the Omnic crisis I changed my electronics to prevent hacks.” “So I heard you’ve killed many Talon agents before have you not?” He looked at his rifle round before finally replying, “Yes, yes I have. My rifle, my knives, my bare hands, even my uniform. They’re all stained with blood of the many that I’ve killed. I think about those I’ve murdered and if I have any regrets for it.” when William said that widow’s heart stopped for a brief moment. “I know you’re still thinking about him. That no matter how much brainwashing they do to you ,somewhere in the back of your mind you still care for Gerard. You can deny it all you want because of it but in the end you truly do care... I’m not going to go anymore further than that since I know if I do I’ll be dead right where I stand now.” Sombra took a few steps back in fear that he could be right. Widow stood hands on the railing with her head down and her eyes closed. A single tear shed from her right eye, slowly streaking across her blue face. Shadow reached for his handkerchief to wipe her face. “If I die now by your hands, I don’t care, all I care is that I’ve finally brought peace to you and that’s all that matters to me now.” Widow wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Her cold blue lips locked with his warm ones, Shadow wrapped his right arm around her waist and slowly dipped her beneath the dark moonlight night, the cold breeze flowing past their faces. “You do not care if my body is cold?” Shadow smiled and swept her off the floor. “No I don’t because I want you to feel mine so I can finally bring warmth to yours...That and I’m from Alaska so I’m used to the cold” he chuckled. Shadow set widow down and she held him as tight as she could. “So um what about me?” Sombra bit her lip. Widow gave her the finger to come so she did. This whole time they were walking, Widow had led them all to the Eiffel Tower and they all embraced each other's company underneath the dark moonlight sky on one of the most romantic places on Earth.

The largest town in the Provence region of Provence is located in the Luberon Regional Park among the pine hills.
Manosque and surroundings will live up to your image in Provence, in an area of pine trees, olive groves, brown painted houses, and canyons. LéOccitane, Provençal-based beauty brand and entertain guests on tours, and the town has a host of small but interesting attractions around town to keep you captivated for the whole day or more. And with award-winning gardens, lavender fields, lying towns and the clear waters of the Durance River, there's so much in the striking distance of the Manosque that it's hard to know where to start. Discover the best things to do in Manosque.
[toc]
1. L’Occitane Visit
This personal care brand is known far beyond France, but its headquarters are located right in Manosque. You can drop by and see how L’Occitane makes its fragrances, soaps, essential oils, and skincare products on an hour-long tour.
In addition, there is a museum on the LápOccitane charting website, 40 years of progress with classic packaging cases and old bronze stills. And you can step into the fragrant Mediterranean garden, planted with all species, both indigenous and exotic, used within the brand beauty range.
In all, you could pass half a day delving into the world of one of France’s favorite beauty exports.
2. Porte de la Saunerie
The core of the historic Mansoque core is surrounded by a pear-shaped boulevard. These roads are where the strongholds of the city once stood and were set to help Manosque grow to the suburbs.
Protecting the southern entrance of the old town is the romantic Porte de la Saunerie, built-in 1382. The name comes from the Provençal for “slaughterhouse”, as the smellier trades like slaughter and tanning were moved to the edge of old towns.
High on either side of the gate are turrets with machining to pour oil and stones on the invaders.
3. Porte du Soubeyran
A little less is known about the city’s north gate, but it was most likely built a few decades earlier than its southern partner, around the end of the 13th century.
The base and gate are almost identical to the Porte de la Saunerie, but instead of the turret, this gate is crowned with an iron railing, clock, and campanile, all added in 1830. As you pass below, you'll get a good view of the arrow that surrounds the porch and the murder holes above a weathered expression of Manosque.
4. Tour du Mont d’Or
In half an hour or so you can hike from the center of Manosque up to the crest of a steep hill just east of the city. You’ll be glad you made the climb when you take in the view of the entire city, as well as the Durance River flowing past on its way to the Rhône.
Another motivation to come is to see the tower here. It looks quite modest now, but there was a whole walled town up here in the middle ages, with a castle, houses, chapels, and workshops. What’s left is a 17-meter chunk of the old keep.
5. Église Saint-Sauveur
The loveliest of Manosque’s churches were built in the 1100s, but altered 300 years later and so matches Romanesque with Gothic architecture. Outside, take a step back to take in the campanile which has some of Provence’s loveliest ironwork, crafted in 1725 by a blacksmith from Valensole.
The interior is opulently furnished and has carved wooden stalls and paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries. But if there's a reason to be here, it's for the showroom, which has had an organ since 1625 in the most sublime gilded wood case.
6. Old Town
The streets in the raised pedestrian center of the city have a plan that goes back to medieval times, even if the architecture is a mishmash of new and old. The most beautiful square could be the Place Marcel-Pagnol, with a sweet old fountain, restaurant terrace and iron gas lights under the shade of an airplane.
7. Église Notre-Dame-de-Romigier
The other church built within Manosque’s old walls is a bit more recent, having been started in the 1200s but rebuilt extensively in the 17th and 19th centuries. Like Saint-Saveur, this church is classified as a historical site of France and also has some curious things that will pique your interest.
One is a Renaissance portal, while inside you have to look at the altar. This is actually an adapted early-Christian sarcophagus from the 4th or 5th century, representing the 12 apostles and hewn from Carrara marble.
Also take a look at Madonna Black Madonna Madonna, a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary and Children dating back to the 1000s.
8. Maison de la Biodiversité
Located on the hills north of Manosque, the Maison de la Biodiversité is a great attraction operated by the Luberon Regional Park. Here the entire region’s wild or cultivated plant life is condensed into eight terraced gardens and an indoor exhibition in an idyllic Provençal farmhouse.
Outside there’s a palm plantation, orchards, rose garden, flowery meadow and vegetable garden with all the produce grown in Provence. At the galleries inside you’ll learn how the countryside has been shaped by humans across millennia.
9. Fondation Carzou
In 1991, the beloved Armenian French artist Jean Carzou was tasked with drawing a fresco of the Doomsday in the presentation monastery. The building is in the Neoclassical style, completed in 1848, and the paintings that adorn the apse and the choir are the centerpieces of the museum.
Carzou's paintings on the flank are crude and cluttered, depicting various atrocities such as the genocide of Armenians and the Holocaust, meaning it may not be suitable for everyone. The platform is also a space for temporary exhibitions, so let's see what Entries when you're in Manosque.
10. Plateau de Valensole
Manosque is located in the east of an area of unbelievable natural beauty, with scenes like Provençal when they arrive. This is the Valensole Plateau, which has an average elevation of 500 meters and conditions that are just right for growing lavender.
The best time to catch the most glorious and fragrant countryside is in July when the lavender is flowering and contrasts with the surrounding wheat fields or almond garden. And July is also the time Fête de la Lavande takes place in the town of Valensole, with live music, a distillery and a market stall selling lavender honey and scent.

Gustavo Dudamel’s New Year’s Concert debut! He is the youngest conductor ever of a New Year’s Concert! The New Year’s Concert live from Vienna is one of the world’s most famous and spectacular classical music events. It will be broadcasted on TV and radio and reaches over 90 countries around the world with more than 40 million viewers. As a brand name, the Vienna New Year’s Concert can trace back its origins to 31 December 1939. In other words, the concert initially took place on the last day of the year. By 1941, however, it was being held on 1 January, when the Vienna Philharmonic established a tradition that continues to flourish to this day. The list of names of leading conductors who have led the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concerts reads like a veritable who’s who of great maestros: including Herbert von Karajan, Lorin Maazel, Claudio Abbado, Carlos Kleiber, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Seiji Ozawa, Mariss Jansons, and Franz Welser-Möst. It is not least thanks to this illustrious succession of great conductors that the Vienna New Year’s Concert remains unique, ushering in the New Year in a way that has often been imitated but never equalled. Its universal popularity is undoubtedly due to the direct – or deferred – live broadcast from the flower-filled Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. The first broadcast went out on Eurovision in 1959, the first colour relay in 1967. Now the concert is shown in countries throughout almost the entire world.

Auvergne’s capital is dominated by volcanic peaks to the north, west, and south, in a setting that will give you goosebumps.
If you go by car, the first landmark you'll see below is the church, made of jet black flint and like no other church in the country. Clermont-Ferrand is crammed with engaging history, and is a young and convivial university city, with a pedigree for learning that goes back to Blaise Pascal. The city is also the home of Michelin, which is famed for a lot more than just tires, as you’ll discover at the L’Aventure Michelin a new museum showing how an iconic French brand came to be. Discover the best things to do in Clermont-Ferrand.
[toc]
1. Basilique Notre-Dame-du-Port
The most revered of the romanesque churches of Auvergne, this basilica was first founded in the 6th century but rebuilt some 500 years later. Don't be entered without seeing the geometric mosaic pictures on the outer walls of the chapel and the chapel radiating, made of sandstone and volcanic rock.
You may need some form of interpretation but it’s well worth going slow and observing the capitals between the chancel and ambulatory, as each one is full of symbolism and tells its own story.
These carvings are the best-preserved romanesque art in the region and show bible episodes like the assumption and Adam and Eve being expelled from paradise, as well as medieval allegorical images.
2. Puy-de-Dôme
Soaring just a few kilometers west of Clermont-Ferrand, there’s no excuse not to add this titanic 1,465-metre volcano to your plans.
The good news is that you don’t need to be an outdoor adventurer to get the best out of the Puy-de-Dôme: Road traffic is forbidden but there is a high-speed rail line that serves the summit at all times of the year and will take you there in just 20 minutes, with departures never 40 minutes seasons and 20 minutes in the summer.
At the top of the grass, you can choose to be dazzled by the scenery, get a table at the restaurant or explore the ruins of the Roman Mercury Temple, located on the Roman road that is still used as the route of the people. Long walk.
3. L’Aventure Michelin
This wonderful museum of Michelin origins, present and future will also tell you much about modern Clermont-Ferrand. That's because Michelin is the largest employer in the city and has developed whole districts for its workers.
You will see how Bibendum (Michelin Man) was born and will be guided through all the innovations that the company has introduced, such as the first detachable tires and famous guides.
4. Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral
No Clermont-Ferrand church is missing, especially because its black lava rock allows you to easily identify it from the slopes outside the city. It was built in the 13th century and was influenced by the gothic cathedrals of northern France, though it wouldn’t be completed for many hundreds of years.
In the 19th-century the master restorer Viollet-Le-Duc laid out plans for the final touches, including the western spires, which rise to 108 meters.
There are lots of flourishes that are from the medieval era though, like the 13th-century red and blue stained glass windows and marvelous frescos in the crypt, sacristy, and ambulatory from between the 12th and 15th centuries.
5. Old Montferrand
Clermont-Ferrand, consisting of two medieval cities, actually has two old quarters. Montferrand is a few kilometers northeast of the church and is best discovered under your steam when you see churches, palaces, an old church, villas made from Volvic lava and lots of The house has a wooden frame from the middle ages onwards.
Make sure you pass the Roman Maison de l KhanElephant, from the 13th century on the streets of Rue Kléber. Montferrand was a purpose-built bastide town built in the 12th century and had hostility to its neighbor Clermont until they were forced to merge in the 17th century.
It was not a happy marriage either, because Montferrand proposed independence four times, the last time was in 1911!
6. Old Clermont
On the streets around the church, you have to keep your eyes open because there are all sorts of great buildings and historical surprises.
One of them is on the Rue des Chaussetiers: Hôtel Savaron is a 16th-century renaissance castle with a beautifully carved courtyard of Savoron peak in the lintel above the entrance and three floors of a covered walkway.
The Place de la Victoire next to the church is a place with cafes and restaurants, where friends meet in the evening.
7. Musée d’Art Roger-Quilliot (MARQ)
Part of the former Ursuline Monastery in Montferrand, the city's art museum is named after a former mayor. The museum opened in 1992, with a modern three-storey skylight, lit by a glass roof.
In the medieval chambers, there are many intriguing artifacts such as a Roman wooden sculpture of the Virgin and the God of the Batman Usson and the capital from local churches.
In the renaissance area, there is furniture, sculpture and a painting by the first Dutch artist Cornelis Engebrechtsz. Then in the Grande Galerie, you’ll be struck by the richness of 19th-century French art, with contributions by Delacroix, Gustave Doré and Camille Claudel.
8. Place de Jaude
Clermont-Ferrand’s main square was completely revitalized ten years ago at great expense, around the time the city introduced its new tram system.
Place de Jaude is almost completely car-free and is ringed with fountains, laurel, tulip, and American sweetgum trees, and as you’d hope there are many places to take the weight off and order a coffee.
Get a photo of the bronze equestrian statue of the Gaulish leader Vercingetorix which was shaped by Bartholdi, who made the Statue of Liberty. Also, check out the northern part of the square, which is made of basalt and has 250 red and yellow diodes representing the movement of the lava.
9. Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle Henri-Lecoq
You may not have heard of the French botanist, Henri-Lecoq, but he was referenced by Darwin in the Origins of Spec, and throughout his life, he had a collection of 80,000 specimens. From around the world contains all groups of mollusks. Lecoq works at Clermont-Ferrand, where he is the dean of the City of Science Faculty.
The Museum of Natural History is located in his mansion and now has hundreds of thousands of minerals, insects, fossils and plant specimens. Those mollusks are still here, but if you’re impressed by the volcanic activity in Auvergne there’s an array of igneous rocks that might pique your interest.
10. Jardin Lecoq
Also in homage to Henri Lecoq is this soothing public garden plotted in the English style, so with sinuous paths, shrubs, and rolling lawns. It’s a botanical garden too, with 25,000 varieties of season plants putting on a spectacle of color and scent in spring and summer.
There are also 300 different trees and the whole environment is kept in the shape of a ship by a busy group of gardeners. The pond has a bridge over it and a stall with a cafe, while those with children can take them to the playground if they need something fun after going around the city.
