Dream Messages
Hello everyone, itâs been a hot minute since i posted a pick a card but uhhhhhh here u go lol. this pick a card is all about the messages your dreams have been trying to tell you. Center yourself, take a few deep breaths and chose the buggy image that calls to you. Take what resonates and leave the rest. I hope that this pick a card serves you well <3 love u
Pile 1- CaterpillarÂ
Dream Oracle: Dog, Baby, Falling, ElevatorÂ
Tarot: 6 of cups, 7 of swords, 8 of swords, 9 of swords, 10 of pentacles, Temperance
(The dream oracle cards could have some themes that have been showing up in your dreams lately so check for some extra confirmation <3)
Hey pile 1 <3. Youâre going through a period of growth right now (whether you resonate with ascensions, elevations, level ups, glow ups, etc) we have an ascending tarot number order ending with temperance. You may be super in your head and overthinking a lot right now or dealing with a lot of regret over the past or anxiety for a new experience (job, class, relationship, or creative project) but your dreams are trying to show you that everything is working out in a very aligned way for your best interest (*incredibly* stable, harmonious, and abundant). Youâre being asked to follow your instincts during this new period and that it may not be exactly what you had envisioned or hoped for but it will be just as good or even better so be open to what the universe is trying to deliver to you. Everything will work out possibly even overnight (Iâm seeing this build up of anxiety like âomg this is all going to blow up and explodeâ and then the situation is resolved in like the chillest manner ever). Youâre undergoing *a lot* of healing while you sleep (possibly past life healing as well or having dreams of past lives) if youâve been waking up exhausted or waking up multiple times during the night this is why (maybe check the time you wake up for some it could be a really opportune manifesting time). If thereâs healing work you have been avoiding then your dreams are showing you what needs to be healed. I donât get the feeling that itâs anything major, itâs something smaller that youâre just not really processing (character development/plot?? lol). Avoiding the work could cause a bigger problem in the long run. Your dreams have been reflecting your own reality so if youâve been having stressful dreams, take a look at what the stressors are and how they could relate to your current experiences. Also so many cards came out so some of you could be feeling really overwhelmed at this time, make sure to delegate and to ask for help where you need it. At this time your dreams are trying to show you that you need to connect with whatâs really important to you. Follow your instincts/intuition, do what you need to do but stay focused. I love you!!! <3
These mantras/affirmations come from the dream oracle deck, utilize them if you feel called to.
Dog: I pat myself on the back for expressing my instincts for love and loyalty.Â
Baby: With complete trust I allow the universe to midwife me into this new chapter of my life.
Falling: I am grounded in the bedrock of the here and now, rooted to the heart of unconditional love.
Elevator: I am moving up in the world, and I grow and glow from glory to greater glory.
Pile 2- Moth
Dream Oracle: Bridge, Dance, Chase
Tarot: 7 of cups, The Hanged Man R, 4 of pentaclesÂ
(The dream oracle cards could have some themes that have been showing up in your dreams lately so check for some extra confirmation <3)
Heyyyyy pile 2 are you guys into reality shifting or quantum leaping? If not, maybe thereâs something youâre trying to manifest right now. Bridging that gap between where you are and where you want to be (what you want is already aligned). Maybe youâre literally dreaming of your dream life. You could also be experiencing some choice paralysis or you have a lot that you want to manifest in this life. Your dreams are telling you which manifestation is the most important to you right now. If thereâs no indication then sit with yourself and really listen to what your heart and soul are calling you to. I feel that your dreams are trying to show you that you have subconscious blockage thatâs preventing the manifestation. Or theyâre showing you that youâre holding onto something that maybe you consciously donât realize that you are. Subconscious programming/subliminals while you sleep would be really beneficial to you at this time (if you already listen to them then this is confirmation that itâs working). Drink more water. Change your perspective on how you can achieve your goals, maybe try something new (like spoiling yourself). I feel the key would be to really tap into your sensuality and luxury (big Taurus energy). Sacral chakra healing. Look into masturbation manifestation. Treat yourself how your dream self would treat you. Find out what self care really means to you. I do feel like youâre taking steps to achieve your goals so be proud of yourself for that. You are really powerful at this time, thereâs just some illusion/blockage that needs to shatter before what you want manifests. Your energy felt really good pile 2 and your manifestations feel so close. Keep up the good work! I love you!!!! <3
These mantras/affirmations come from the dream oracle deck, utilize them if you feel called to.
Bridge: With my heart wide open, I realize that I am the energetic bridge that connects me from where I am to where I want to be.
Dance: Life is my dance partner, and I let it lead each step, each groove, and each move I make.
Chase: I can run but I canât hide from my power.
Pile 3- Grasshopper
Dream Oracle: Ceremony, Elevator, Fire
Tarot: 2 of pentacles, The Devil R, The Lovers S
(The dream oracle cards could have some themes that have been showing up in your dreams lately so check for some extra confirmation <3)
Hey pile 3 Iâm seeing that you guys are going through a major ascension/upgrade/level up right now. You could be going through a flame initiation or a kundalini awakening (iykyk). It feels like you have rediscovered your fire/passion recently. This fire is one of your greatest untapped gifts for real, use it wisely and intentionally because I feel it could burn people in your life if itâs not expressed. You could have just become aware of this potential and Spirit is congratulating you on that. You have come a really long way, healed, and taken accountability, it shows in your energy levels. Getting clear on what you want. Thereâs lots of good to come soon. Youâve released a bad habit/addiction/relationship/karmic (Spirit applauds you). If you havenât released this yet then your dreams are showing you what it is and telling you to let go. Some situation is giving you a headache. I feel there are some distractions around and thatâs what your dreams are showing you (most likely a person, unfortunately). âGlitterâ by Tyler, The Creator except not all that glitters is gold. You have a really beautiful passion and fire within you, take care of it. I feel like telling you that Spirit is really really proud of you for this. I know this reading was really short but you just achieved something really awesome so I feel like some pressure has just been released so give yourself a little grace at this time. Pile 1 is also going through a level up but their energy was much more overwhelmed and worried but maybe thereâs a message for you there as well. I love you!! Iâm so proud of you!!! <3
These mantras/affirmations come from the dream oracle deck, utilize them if you feel called to.
Ceremony: I honor the changes through which I am going, growing, and glowing!
Elevator: I am moving up in the world, and I grow and glow from glory to greater glory.
Fire: I marvel at the miracle of alchemy as I transform and awaken to the full radiance of my destiny.

50 Questions Tag
I was tagged by @janarine - thank you đheheh.
Iâve never done anything like this before, so I hope Iâm doing it right! Sorry if I mess up somehow.
1. What takes too much of your time?
Animal Crossing (New Leaf). I think Iâm spending too much time on my town right now...
2. What makes your day better?
Talking to my best friend, she always cheers me up heheh. Writing, listening to music, and doing something music related too.
3. Whatâs the best thing that happened to you today?
I havenât done much today, but my sister just baked a cake and let me try some, so that was pretty sweet.
4. What fictional place would you like to go to?
Yumenosaki. Itâs really the only fictional place I can think of that Iâd like to go to tbh. Thereâs this kid I go to school with thatâs basically Tori anyway.
5. Are you good at giving advice?
Eh, sometimes (I think). People say I am, but sometimes I donât think anything I say makes any sense. I do like to help people out though!
6. Do you have any mental illness?
Anxiety.
7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?
I donât think so. But I do have a lot of very dark and vivid dreams.
8. What musician inspired you the most?
Definitely Stray Kids. Not only their music and lyrics inspire me and help me get through things, but also them themselves - idk I look up to them a lot.
Bolbbalgan4/BOL4 and SHISHAMO influence me a lot musically as well.
9. Have you ever fallen in love?
Nope. I mean, Iâve had a crush before, but I wouldnât call it love.
10. Whatâs your dream date?
Iâm not sure, but maybe either something at home where it feels cozy, or maybe at a cafe? Idk I just really like cafes.

Referring to the person I used to have a little crush on - yes, weâre pretty good friends.
Iâm pretty sure anyway.
14. How many exâs do you have?
None. I donât think much about dating.
15. How many songs are in your playlist?
There are around 3500 on my main playlist. Iâm always listening to music, and Iâm always adding more.
16. What instruments can you play?
Iâm learning to play ukulele. I really like playing it heheh, and Iâm going to start writing my own stuff soon I think.
I was learning guitar, but I lost interest and had no patience for it.
17. Who do you have the most pictures of?
I have more memes and reaction images saved on my phone than anything else (whoops). But putting those aside, I have a lot of pictures of Mika Kagehira. But if weâre talking about real people, Iâd say Stray Kids - Hyunjin, Felix and Chan to narrow it down.

22. Are you going through anything right now?
Hmm, maybe a little bit right now. But Iâm trying to stay positive for those around me.
23. Whatâs the worst decision youâve ever made?
I had this really good friend a couple of years ago. She always looked out for me, made sure I wasnât alone in class, etc etc. it was a bit hard for me to sit with her sometime though, seeing as she was in that more âpopularâ group of people. I started sitting with other people after a bit because I thought that itâd be easier on her, but I still regret not talking to her about it first. Iâm not very good with communication. We donât talk anymore and that kind of makes me a bit sad, but thatâs my fault, and I know that. Iâm trying to become a bit better now, and itâs taught me to take other peopleâs feelings into consideration (I believe that people are in your lives sometimes to reach you something, so I guess this is one of the things that she has taught me).
24. Whatâs your favourite store?
In general, Big W đ because I always find myself wanting to go there for some strange reason. Either that or Temt or QBD Books.

I donât really want anything in the aspect of presents, but Iâd really like to have dinner with my family. I really like to spend time with my family.

Well, Iâll be turning 16 this year. I donât know what age I seem like to people right now, but I know that when I was younger I looked a lot older than what I was.
I was always really tall for my age, but I think now Iâm not that tall in comparison to some girls in my grade.
31. Where do you keep your phone while your sleeping?
I usually keep in one of my drawers next to my bed. I donât like to keep it right next to my head while Iâm sleeping, but I like to have it close to me incase I need to write something down, especially if I get an idea for something Iâm writing.
32. What word do you say the most?
Definitely âlikeâ. I always say âlike, uhâ a lot, and also âyou know?â, although thatâs two words.
33. Whatâs the oldest age you would date?
As of right now, maybe 17, maybe 18? I think Iâm still a bit too young to date anyone older than that, but when Iâm a bit older, a 3-4 year age gap would be fine I guess.
34. Whatâs the youngest age you would date?
Iâm not sure. Maybe 15? I donât think Iâm really ready for dating anyway... lmao.
35. What job/career do most people say would suit you?
My family and friends when I was younger used to say that I should be a model? But I think they were just being nice. I also think it was because of how tall I am.
I also was told once or twice that I should be a nurse, since I care a lot for people I guess. I donât think I have a real interest in the medical field though, I think all of my interests lie in the creative sort of field.
With that being said, my dream job is actually to be a florist :)
36. Whatâs your favourite music genre?
I donât really have a favourite genre, or a specific genre I listen to. I listen to lots of different genres in lots of different languages, as I like to keep an open mind- Iâm really interested in other cultures and countries, especially their languages as I find many languages very pretty.
But if I had to narrow it down, then maybe indie and punk rock?
37. If you could live in any country in the world, where would it be?
Iâm going to be 100% honest-
Hands down, Iâd stay in Australia. Iâm sorry, I just really love my country. Itâs my home after all.
But if I had to choose another country, then maybe Italy or Japan?
38. What is your current favourite song?
There are too many songs that I absolutely love.
But my absolute favourite song is Awkward Silence by Stray Kids. It always makes me happy somehow whenever I listen to it.
39. How long have you had this blog for?
I started this blog almost a year ago to try and make friends that are into the same things as me, but unfortunately due to my anxiety and nonexistent social skills I could never bring myself up to speak to anyone.
I started posting and reblogging things on here not too long ago though, so I guess thatâs when I finally started using this blog.

I literally just want to spend time with my family heheh, I donât ever really have anything to ask for for Christmas or my birthday.
44. What classes do you get the best grades in?
Japanese. Itâs the only class that calms me and gives me sanity (usually), so Iâm actually able to focus for once.
45. On a scale of 1-10, how are you feeling right now?
8. Iâm feeling pretty all right, since school holidays just started, but for some reason I constantly feel stressed and worried, and Iâm always tired since I get hardly any sleep. But my plan is to

How to Take Action: 12 Habits that Turn Dreams into Reality
âKnowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.â Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
âDon't wait. The time will never be just right.â Napoleon Hill
What makes dreams into reality?
I believe that perhaps the most important â and an often ignored â thing is simply taking action.
I used to be really bad at it when I was younger.
Back then I usually got stuck.
I got stuck in my dreams about what I wanted to do.
I got stuck in analysis paralysis due to my habit of overthinking things. I got stuck in procrastination and in pessimism.
Things have changed a lot since then though. I have added many new habits that help me to take much more action than I used to.
I hope this week's article will help you to do the same.
1. Get your day off to a great start by doing the most important thing.
I first learned about this about 17 years ago when I used to sell computers.
The boss told us that if we took care of the most important task of the day â often one of the more difficult ones too â right away in the morning the rest of the day would be a lot easier and lighter.
He was right about that.
When that first and most important task is done you donât have to worry about it. It wonât weigh down on your day. You feel good about yourself.
And youâll have less inner resistance to taking action for the rest of the day.
2. Just take responsibility for your actions and the process.
I love this quote from the ancient Sanskrit Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita:
âTo action alone hast thou a right and never at all to its fruits; let not the fruits of action be thy motive; neither let there be in thee any attachment to inaction.â
Why?
Because every time I look at it or remind myself of it I feel a sort of freedom and relief.
This quote reminds me to understand that I cannot control the results of my action. I canât control how someone reacts to what I say or what I do.
It reminds me that it usually works better for me to stay motivated to keep doing what I do if I do something I really like doing.
Basically, I do what I think is right and that is my responsibility. And then the rest (the possible results), well, that is not up to me to decide about or try to control.
I let it go.
Taking action becomes a so much lighter activity when you only have to take responsibility for doing what you think is right.
3. Donât feel like doing it? Start small.
Getting the most important thing done first thing in your day and setting yourself up for an action-packed day sounds great in theory.
But in reality you will have unmotivated days.
Days when you feel emotionally low or when you are confronted with having to do something you donât want to do.
Thatâs life. But no reason to let that sink your day into inaction and feeling sorry for yourself.
I have found that the best thing for these situations is to start very small. To justâŚ
Write for 1-2 minutes.
Lift free weights for just a few repetitions.
Spend 1 minute with getting started on something that scares me.
After that I have the choice to go do something else.
But I seldom do.
I just need an easy way to get started and then, when I am in motion, I usually continue taking action for a while longer.
4. Donât hurt yourself.
This is a powerful motivator for me to grow and to become a better person.
If I donât do what I deep down think is the right thing to do then I hurt myself and my self-esteem. What I do â or do not do â during my day sends powerful signals back to me about what kind of person I am.
There is no escaping yourself. And there is always a price to pay when you don't do what you think is the right thing.
5. A reminder for focus.
If you donât remind yourself often about what you need to focus on and why you are doing it then it is easy to let days slip away or to spend too much time on less important things.
So create a a simple reminder on a piece of paper. On it you can for example write down:
Your top 3 priorities in life right now.
Your most important goal or new habit for the next 30 days.
A motto or quote you want to stay focused on and live by at this time in your life.
6. Stay accountable to the people in your life.
An accountability buddy can help you to stay on track and to keep taking action towards your goal or dream even when the initial enthusiasm has dissipated.
For example, many of you as readers help me to stay accountable to provide helpful content. I get feedback all the time about if I do things in a helpful or less helpful way. I get a ton of encouragement.
People closer to me in my life help me to stay accountable to for instance not eating too much unhealthy stuff, to working out and to not working too much.
Find someone in real life or online who wants to get in better shape too. Or start a business online. Motivate each other.
Keep each other accountable so you take action and take steps forward each week.
7. Cycle fully focused work and fully relaxing rest.
Get your kitchen timer or access the stop-watch function on your cellphone.
Set the timer for 45 minutes. During those minutes just work on your most important task/small step forward. Nothing else. No distractions.
After those 45 minutes are up, take a relaxing break. Distract yourself on Facebook if you like. Or step away from your work space and take a short walk, stretch or go for an apple for the next 15 minutes.
By working these fully focused periods of time youâll:
Get more done and do work of higher quality.
Be able to concentrate for a longer time in your day and week and get less tired.
Train yourself to focus on one thing at time, instead of getting stuck in your mind between work and relaxation and building up friction and stress within.
Be able to enjoy your rest periods without a guilty conscience.
45 minutes of work too much?
Try 25 minutes instead.
Procrastinating half-way into your 25 minute period?
Set the timer for 10 or 5 minutes and build up the time that you can fully focus on the work over the next few weeks and months.
8. Focus more on the how to and less on the what-ifs.
If your thoughts starts spinning as you are thinking about taking action then in your mind shout: STOP!
Donât allow yourself to get stuck in the negative spiral of analysis paralysis.
Sure, it is smart to think before you act in many cases but overthinking things tends to become a way to try to control things you cannot control or to simply stay away from action because you are scared in some way.
After you have said stop to that train of thought open up your mind to what you CAN DO instead of all the things that could go wrong in the worst case scenario.
Ask yourself questions like:
What is one small step I can take today to move forward towards my goal or out of this situation?
What is one thing I can learn from this situation?
Write down the answers you come up with and take action on them.
9. People donât care that much about what you do so donât let that hold you back.
When I was younger I almost always let what people may have thought or said if I did something hold me back and I got stuck in inaction.
It was more of a self-centered than accurate belief.
In reality people have their own things going on in busy lives. They think about the job, kids, a partner, the cat, a vacation, what to have for dinner and they worry about what you and other people may think about them.
You are probably not the main character in other peopleâs lives. Even if you are that in your own life.
A realization that can be a bit disappointing but something that can also can set you free from self-imposed bonds.
10. Tap into enthusiasm.
When you dream and when you get started with something new in life then the enthusiasm flows like a fountain.
A few weeks later it may have decreased quite a bit. Donât let that lead you to quitting if you think this is something you want to continue doing.
Tap into enthusiasm in your surroundings instead.
Let the enthusiasm of your accountability buddy flow of over to you and create a flow back to him or her by being enthusiastic about his or her goals and dreams.
Listen to podcasts or audiobooks by inspiring people.
Read blogs, websites and take courses that help you to get a dose of enthusiasm every week.
Let the enthusiasm from friends, children or pets flow over to you.
Listen to music and watch movies that increase your joy for life.
Bring the enthusiasm of the rest of the world into your life.
11. Add the fun.
Some tasks simply are boring or not much fun at all.
Then try this while you are doing them to add a bit of fun:
Add some music that gives you energy and inspires you.
Make it into a game where you compete with friend about who can finish something first or do the most amount of something in 10 or 30 minutes.
Change your perspective on what you are doing, lighten things up a bit and it tends to become quite a bit easier to take a lot of action on what you may have procrastinated on for some time.
12. Celebrate what you did today.
Take 2 minutes at the end of your day to think about, appreciate and celebrate what you have taken action on today. No matter how small the action may have been.
It will:
Motivate you to get going tomorrow too.
Increase your self-esteem over time.
Make you feel good about yourself and that feeling will spread to the people in your life too.

This is the result of a misdiagnosis. A broken rib should never have been ignored and I should never have been forgotten or maimed further by ignorance and lables
From the ashes of a forgotten life, my book GIVE ME A SECOND â my walk through MEDICAL MADNESS, is finally published. After 34 years I close the chapter on medical abuse and show the world the truth of the in-betweenâs of an injured worker, who was misdiagnosed and crucified because nobody believed I had a broken ribâŚâŚ.
This video tells the story of my journey. And if I died tomorrow, I would knowing that my words are out thereâŚ.and the truth I hope will change the corrupt Workers Compensation system we have to fight with and deal with daily as our losses accumulate.
God kept me alive for this reasonâŚ.
This video gives you an idea what hides under the carpet..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDGctIQRGnA  One day I will get the compensation for this medical madnessâŚ..until I do, I FIGHT FOR THE RIGHTS OF INJURED WORKERS
May God have mercy on their souls.
My past abusive childhood had nothing to do with my mind or my broken rib in 1985. I left one world of abuse behind me, only to have known 6 years of freedomâŚ.
â
Iâm coming back outâŚâŚand may God have mercy on the people I face from the past with my book GIVE ME A SECONDâŚ.the true in betweens of this medical madness and ignoranceâŚ.God made me a poet for a reason and kept me alive for this reason aloneâŚ.
 JUSTICE FOR INJURED WORKERS
 Giggles the poet
MY BOOK âGIVE ME A SECONDâ is a lifetime of poetry on patterns we need to speak up on and change. I wontâ be taken out of this world so easily, many have tried when I was a child, and they failedâŚâŚ
The publisher didnât want to print the truth, but itâs already out thereâŚ..either wayâŚnobody will ever know the whole story, but one thing I can say is that WSIB thinking my childhood caused PSTD which caused my broken ribâŚâŚ.not a chanceâŚGod gave me a stronger mind to survive what I did. And a muscle problem is far different than a broken rib in our backâŚ..I said Iâd be backâŚand itâs just a matter of timeâŚ..
http://www.gigglespoet.com Awareness and Inspiration. My site will be up in a few weeksâŚand Iâll let you know so you can visit đ
This is the poem that my book GIVE ME A SECOND is based on the in betweenâ s so many forgot. Too big to fit in the bookâŚbut something that wonât be forgottenâŚ.
MY STORY MY TRUTH! MY WALKTHROUGH MEDICAL MADNESS
Donât let this happen to you. We can be the change the world needs to see
This poem couldnât fit in the book, but it tells a summary of my story.
MEDICAL MADNESS
Old memories plague me in the darkness
And as they rear their ugly head
They only remind me of all that Iâve lost
My life, my freedom, and my children are dead
Dear God, please forgive my anger
For these many transgressions that I see
But all the madness that I have lived through
Almost got the better of me
I have no need for food or sleep
What I crave most are the sun and air
But, when I look out the window of my sanctuary
I see no signs of the truth out there
Dear God, itâs you Iâve turned to the most
For answers, for courage and faith
And as I read these medical reports of cruelty
Anger washes over me, replacing the hate
My Lord, I have, but five days to go
Can I hold onto the hope this doctor will come to my aid?
I canât close my eyes; I canât find any rest
From the pain these surgeons continually create
I see clearly such torture in one operation
And I shake with the echo of hearing my pleas
During this procedure, I felt what they were doing
And when I slipped into unconsciousness, fear followed me
When I woke up in recovery, I felt only doom
Because all Iâve done for so long was cry and beg
Now I felt something different when I turned on my machine
The current was not reaching my back but was running down both my legs
The first surgeon that implanted this medical device
Offered me a choice between paralysis and pain
And as I read these words again in my medical file
It leaves me reeling in sorrow, reeling in shame
Once again, I was sent back to my prison of silence
I lost the job that I loved and my friends of nine years
I kept searching for help, but no one would touch me
And each night I lay down, on my pillow of tears
It took three long years to find another surgeon
He said he would operate and put the wires in place
He smiled as he spoke and promised to help
I smiled back through my fear, as I looked up at his face
I believed what he promised, but I felt like a fool
As I waited daily in my bed for his call
Depression took over, as days turned into months
He couldnât be reached; I was climbing the walls
My doctorâs husband took over and went to his office
Not leaving until he got my surgery date
Workers Compensation harassed me, wouldnât leave me in peace
They wanted me back to work, and they wouldnât wait
The day finally came; I had my fifth operation
Another stranger opened me up, creating a mess
When I woke up much later, I felt such foreboding
I turned on my machine, and I screamed from the stress
Something was wrong; the current was closer
But, it still gave me no comfort as it had done years before
I looked up at my doctor, and as I was being sedated
I wondered how I would get over being sliced open once more
Two weeks later, I was back for my next operation
I tried to prepare my mind for what was to come
This sixth operation was finally completed
I went home feeling gratitude for what he had done
Alone with my sorrow, my body felt mangled
I recovered slowly a few more years gone
I asked God for assistance in clearing my heart
As I tried to forgive the ones who had done me wrong
Five years passed and I got lost in depression and pills
Now, I needed Workers Compensation to help me update my skills
The office software had changed from five years ago
And when I asked my adjudicator for help, but I received a flat âNo.â
I was still in grave shock as I hung up the phone
There was no one beside, me I felt completely alone
I needed some hope I then called her manager
The kindness in his voice helped soothe some of my anger
I have paid into this system from the time I was ten
They cared nothing about me or the hell Iâd been in
I asked them for help; their stoic response caused me shame
It seemed every report they wrote, said, âI had low back painâ
I questioned my pension wondering what that was based on
When I told them the truth, they treated me like a con
I asked them why would I lie, or pretend to have pain?
They paid me such meager wages; I had nothing to gain
These machines, they paid thousands of dollars for, electrocuted me twice
I know if it happened again, death would be rolling the dice
The adjudicator asked me nothing, and they cared even less
My depression got worse, my mind and body were a mangled mess
When I cried on the phone, they had no empathy
They said those were the rules; they had to follow policy
I had to hustle my body, even though I was a wreck
Other resources wouldnât help me, and I would receive no cheque
It has been twenty-nine years and all that I know
Are the mangled scars on my back, things that wonât show
I still fight in a system that refuses to care
And each day I ask God, whatâs the reason Iâm here?

MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULSâŚ.
A broken rib in 1985 and a misdiagnosis, caused the biggest challenge I would ever experience in my life, altering my life, causing me to lose two pregnancies, dreams, and almost my mind, and body, sending me on a fight for my life, human rights, and medical attention that always came much too late, to find a doctor to acknowledge I had a broken rib and not âRhomboid muscle strain.â and not PSTD. This was more than muscle problems.
Misdiagnosis happens more than we think, or hear about. To think that a simple broken rib would cause such so much internal damage, heartache, losses, and destruction in this day is a crime, that we as a society must stop and change. Take the Workers Compensation Board, down and out. Replacing it with a place that cares, helps and supports the injured workers and their families.
Instead of being helped, we are crucified, thrown aside, harassed, called liars, sent into a deeper depression, incurring more injuries and living in poverty.
This picture is the result of six unnecessary operations I suffered after the broken rib was removed in 1986, almost a year later. The result of that first of seven operations was that I was left with nerve damage that caused further problems and pain.
Further injuries and the implantation of medical devices that were forgotten and never monitored causing more internal damage and problems. And Workers Compensation seems to know nothing about, and as they said âI DONâT CAREâ, but the lies I see in the reports they sent out will one day reach someone who will care. Reports that only caused more judgements and crucified me in the process. I didnât fit into their box!
I was implanted after the rib removal with a Medtronic Neurotransmitter, (spinal column stimulator.) This was inserted into my body in 1991, as an experiment, to stop nerve pain. Prior to my having this inserted in my thoracic spine, I was told it was only used for the lower extremities. So, I became the guinea pig they forgot to monitor and I paid the price and it almost cost me my life on two occasions.
This device would send 750 amps of electricity through my nervous system, stopping the pain. My miracle and my curse. I wore this device 24/7 and was able to return to the workforce and get off chemicals, at least for seven yearsâŚ.and for seven years I lived not in the past, but tried to rebuild my world.
I could never have any more children after I lost the 2nd child that was growing inside me. Everything was taken from me, time and again.
I was forgotten by everyone that was supposed to monitor this machineâŚ..it became a part of me like breathingâŚ..it did stop painâŚit was my miracle, but a curse.
Unfortunately, I was left to suffer the consequences of this device malfunctioning seven years later, electrocuting me internally on two occasions while at new higher paying jobs. Had I not been at work, I would have died.
The machine suddenly went haywire and as the electricity rose in my body, I was paralysed, couldnât cry out, could only cry silently, as my body contorted and my heart hurt almost beating out of my chest, I almost blacked out from the force. Had it not been for my co-workers unplugging the cord from the transmitter, or had I been anywhere else that day, it would have killed me.
These losses, children they took out of my body, electrocutions, seven unnecessary, botched surgeries, and further injuries have been swept under the carpet by each Workers Compensation adjudicator on my case. They didnât care how much I had to fight each time for medical care and they still have no idea about what really happened, nor do they care. I searched for medical help that came much too late, delayed by an adjudicator.
If the rib had been acknowledged, I would never have had two children taken out of my bodyâŚ.and the losses continued accumulating, but for every loss God made up with beautiful words of poetry that kept me sane, helping me find a better perspective on looking at the situations I was up against.
I never got time to mourn any losses, I had to fight to live and find medical help which always came much too late. I was even thrown out of a hospital after having painful electricity running through my head, I was told by the emergency doctor to go to the U.S., or to another town. A neurosurgeon wasnât called and I was given 5 muscle relaxants and told to go homeâŚâŚ..They didnât know about the device, or know how to helpâŚ.and didnât even try.
I can only pray that my experiences, wonât become the experience of someone else. I was twenty-two when this happened. I left a lifetime of abuse in Newfoundland only to be faced with more abuse that continued for 34 years.
A frightened young girl, in pain and up against some pretty big doctorsâŚ.I thought my childhood was a nightmareâŚ.my future became worseâŚand I fought these battles, for the most part, requesting my medical case be investigated, but like my words, they were lost on many. WSIB didnât investigate, I didâŚand what I found was truth and facts my publisher wouldnât printâŚâŚbut the truth comes out regardlessâŚ
In 2010 I had my seventh operation to remove the machine, but the doctor couldnât as it had grown into my spine and the wires couldnât be found.
We need to make changes to the way we are treated by theBREAKING THE SILENCE-ENDING THE WAR My experiences with an unforgiving medical device-spinal-simulator
Workers Compensation Board and by the doctors who are like a revolving door, they write prescription after prescription without care, not investigating, nor looking us in the eye asking, âwhat is going on,â as in my case.
I will find retribution and find a way to make changes to this corrupt Workers Compensation Board that discards injured workers, causing more depression, injuries and sometimes death.
We donât have a system that protects us when we are injured on the job, we have a system that puts us into a new âCONCENTRATION CAMP,â we are a number only and they do everything in their power to shame us, and we pay for being injured. Itâs a system that buries their dead under outdated policies.
WE ARE MORE THAN A LABELâŚAND MORE THAN A DISABILITYâŚ.

INSPIRATION IS OUR NAME

I have no family to leave behind a legacyâŚthat was taken away because of ignoranceâŚ..but my words will live foreverâŚ..that is for my children in heavenâŚ. Now, I have a mission to complete, and Iâm coming back like a tsunamiâŚâŚ.

Brand Innovation: 5 Rules For Failure
Vinko Bogataj doesnât usually come to mind when savvy marketers think of influential business lessons. In fact, most of us donât even know his name. But, growing up in the U.S. in the 1980âs, Iâll never forget his image in the opening montage of ABCâs Wide World of Sports. It was accompanied by Jim McKayâs epic narration contrasting âThe Thrill of Victoryâ with âThe Agony of Defeatâ; which McKay offered as âits inevitable companionâ. The footage was from the 1970 Ski-Flying World Championship in Oberstdorf, Germany. Unfortunately, on that infamous run, there was no actual ski flying. There was only a horrific sequence captured on film of a helpless athlete bounding head over heels off the side of the ramp.
The good news was that Bogataj suffered only minor injuries. The bad news, the young Slovenian became the anonymous icon for agony for a generation of American sports fans.
You might think this is an interesting sports story. Itâs actually a story about brand innovation.
Zero Sum Games
Jim McKayâs thrills and agonies of the sports world could equally apply to business where there are also dramatic and uncertain outcomes, although usually not in such a swift (and visual) fashion.
The reason is simple: Successful brands are driven by growth imperatives. For example, your brand may need to grow by 10% next year. But, in the short term, populations usually donât grow by 10%. In the short term, incomes donât generally rise by 10%. In most cases, if you are going to grow by 10%, somebody else has to shrink. If you taste the thrill of victory, somebody somewhere feels the agony of defeat.
Brand Innovation For Growth
Innovation is a hot topic. Itâs often seen as an answer to the growth imperative. Among other things, innovation allows you to enter new businesses, re-define the competitive landscape, or differentiate your offering in the market and separate yourself from lower margin commodity products.
Bold innovation is one of those things many brands enjoy dabbling in and dreaming about. But in practice, we may not like the realities it entails. Lives get changed, markets get disrupted, our sense of security goes out the door, and people get hurt. And, thatâs what happens when weâre successful! Itâs much worse when brands try bold innovation and fail (cue Wide World of Sports video).
In summary: We need the thrill of victory (from innovation and other growth drivers). But, we never want to experience that agony of defeat (from failing).
Paradoxically, how we cope with failure â both the fear of it and the reality of it â often determines our ability to succeed.
Dealing With Failure
The traditional approach to dealing with failure owes a debt of gratitude to Pavlov: Failure is bad. Do something bad, get punished. Donât do something bad again.
In innovation, punishing failure leads to a really bad thing: Failure Avoidance, with nasty side effects like decision paralysis, finger pointing, and playing it too safe. Innovation comes to a halt when employees feel itâs unsafe to work on projects with an uncertain outcome. Brands with cultures of fear and blame are historically low-performing innovators.
Thereâs a temptation to solve for this by over-correcting and declaring âFailure is OKâ. This well-meaning approach is designed to allow âsafe spaceâ to explore, experiment, and play. But the unintended consequence is that when nobody is held accountable for failure, quitting becomes an easy optionâŚopening the door for an equally crippling condition: Failure Acceptance.
During the course of any significant innovation project, there will always be logical, rational, compelling reasons to quit. Try to think of a successful innovation project that didnât go through a dark period where the outcomes looked bleak. The companies that win donât do so because they donât face challenges, but rather because they have the will to persevere and adapt their way to success.
Think of it this way: when you have to solve a problem, you usually do. When given the option to not solve a tough problem, you often donât. History is full of examples where groups succeed when they didnât have the option to quit (the Spanish after Cortes burned their own boats or mission control on Apollo 13 to name two)
So failure avoidance leads to inaction and failure acceptance leads to a higher likelihood of failing. What do the worldâs leading brand innovators do? I offer these five rules, gathered over the last decade of working directly with them.
1. Understand That Failure Is Not OK
Show me a brand where failure is truly OK and Iâll show you a brand that fails a lot (or did). Failures cost money. Banks keep score.
2. Accept That Failure Is Innovationâs âInevitable Companionâ
If you play it safe, youâll never do anything fundamentally better. Bold leaps require commitment and investment based on imperfect or ambiguous information. Despite your best effort to minimize risk, some percentage of the time every brand will miss the mark.
Apple made the Newton. Coors launched spring water. Life Savers made soda. They were all bold.
They didnât work out.
Failure is part of the game. Of course, this creates the tension at the heart of the innovation challenge â failure is not OK, but failures are inevitable. You canât avoid failure or youâll never do anything bold, and you canât accept failure or youâll lack perseverance. You may not like it, but just as Jim McKay said about victory and defeat, failure and innovation are inevitable companions.
Apple, Coors, and Life Savors are all highly successful, despite losing some big bets. They donât win every time, but â importantly â they win more than they loseâŚwhich lets them live to innovate another day. And thatâs the key â if you learn from each loss, the next time your odds get better.
3. Understand That âWrongâ Is Not The Same As âFailâ
Many cultures equate âwrongâ with âfailâ. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, being wrong is a vital part of the innovation process. If you pursue bold innovation, you will almost certainly be wrong some of the time (maybe a little, maybe a lot). Designing businesses for the future is unpredictable with complex factors, many outside of our control. Having the space to explore and play is critical, and that requires having permission to be wrong.
4. Over-Invest In Making Smarter Bets
In my experience, the brands that are consistently best at innovation invest generously in an exceptional process to gather learning, analyze risks, and create viable plans to make modest bets based on the information available. This up-front investment can be expensive, but itâs a wise investment if youâre serious about innovation. And, itâs ultimately much less expensive than writing off costly failures much later in the process.
I canât stress enough how important it is for brands to over-invest here. Over-invest in simple prototypes. Over-invest in interacting with customers. Over-invest in being wrong so you can figure out whatâs right. Do your homework, make smart bets, and course correct. If you do this well, in the long run youâll win more than you lose.
5. Think Of Launch Commitment Like A Ski Jump Remember Vinko Bogataj? Ski jumpers like Bogataj never know for sure if theyâll land on their skis each time they jump. But once they take their butts off the seat, there is no other option but to see it through. They donât think about the âwhat ifs.â They only think about how to adjust and succeed. High performing innovation brands (and entrepreneurs) think the same way.
I urge you to think of outcome commitment like a ski jump with a similar âButt Off the Seatâ moment. You wouldnât strap on skis and hurl yourself down an icy ramp without a serious amount of prep work, would you? Do not commit to any innovation project lightly. But once you do, see it through. After your buttâs off the seat, either youâll make choices that let you win, or youâve already lost.
In Closing
What most of us never saw was that earlier on his fateful day, Vinko Bogataj made the jump of his life. He flew 410 feet down a German mountain to experience the true thrill of victory.
Iâd love to say âski jumpers and innovators have a lot in commonâ, but I canât do that with a straight face. However, there is an important lesson about dealing with failure that we can learn: If you avoid failure youâll never get in the game. If you allow it you wonât persevere.
In the middle is a balanced, if highly uncomfortable, space dominated by the inevitable tension most athletes have come to accept where failure is bad, but losses are inevitable if youâre in the game.
For those new to innovation, itâs easy to believe that success somehow occurs overnight and without having to fight for it. But itâs never easy, and while not every innovation project is a winner, every one could be a loser if you donât persevere and make the right adjustments.
By the way, what did Bogataj say to the medical crew loading him into the ambulance 10 minutes after his fall. âCan I jump again?â

And thatâs the key â if you learn from each loss, the next time your odds get better.

horror/fear survey
50 questions stolen from @my-world-is-ruled-by-fictionâ
1) Favorite horror movie? I try to avoid watching horror movies even tho I am into creepy stuff. I would say it is âGothikaâ since I watched that one most often.
2) Scariest place to be outside at night where you live? Park areas without any lanterns.
3) Any animal fears? Just the regular icky feeling around spiders and wasps. but i try to catch them and release them instead of crying.
4) When you were younger what were you afraid of? getting lost/ getting left behind (because hooray that happened a few times with kindergarden/school)
5) When you were younger how did you cope with your fears? crying.
6) Is a basement or attic scarier to you? Attic. We donât have one but I am scared of heights so âescapingâ down the stairs again would be extra stressful.
7) Ever have recurring nightmares? Yes, about two colours mixing in a very gross and weird way. something about this hue (i think its a yellowish?) itâs really really spooky to me I have no idea why. Itâs super abstract but I had it since i was a kid.
8) Favorite old horror film? Alien. (because it has my babies in it)
9) Are you comfortable being at home alone? Pretty much so.Â
10) Has the fear of something ever kept you up all night? Yes. Fear of failing and the usual existential dread.
11) When you imagined monsters when you were younger what did they look like? I canât remember.
12) Do you sleep with one foot out of the covers or both under? I am most of the time curled up into a ball under the covers so no leggies sticking out here.
13) What is your natural response upon hearing a loud crash in your house? I like to blame it on my cat, that has passed away in 2015 and ignore it.
14) Have you ever played any horror games? Amnesia. I tried to avoid any monster encounter by spending awfully long time at stacking up chairs, since the physics in this game are fun.
15) Top 5 scariest noises to hear when youâre alone? scratching at the wall from the apartment next to me at 3 am?, random wood/furniture cracking, my guitar humming, weird heater noises?, weird noises from people outside?
16) Pick a horror movie and explain how you would survive. Donât go upstairs in a house, Donât go camping in a god-forsaken place, Go with a group of friends you trust and not Sharon you have some stupid beef with because she slept with your ex, If itâs a person who is causing the horror gang up on that bitch with your friend and beat the shit out of murder-man.
Also donât wear high heels.
17) Do you have pre-planned hiding places in your house for scary situations? No. I have pre-planned go to the kitchen and get a big olâ knife places.

Silence of the Lambs??
22) Do you prefer gore or thrillers? Depends. Gore to laugh my ass off because it is so over the top most of the time?? (zombie splatter silliness). Thrillers are usually more complex and interesting.
23) What did your parents tell you about monsters when you were young? I think they made up stories about something else protecting me from them???
24) Are you a fan of jump scares? No, I hate them. jump scares are a cheap tactic to make weak horror films scarier.
25) What is your go to for horror entertainment? Nothing really.Â
26) Do you believe aliens or other life forms exist? Yes. I think it would be sad if we were alone in the universe.
27) Have you read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? If so what was your favorite or what was the scariest story? No, I read goosebumps as a kid. I also had a collection of scary stories  but IDK where this book is. It has some cool 19th century spook stories and stuff???

29) Would you ever spend the night in an abandoned building? No.
30) Are you superstitious? Not really?
31) Have you ever had a fortune told to you that came true? Naw.
32) Do you sleep with your window open? During Summer but it is usually to noisy outside for that.
33) Have you ever trespassed onto private property late at night? I dunno, probably?
34) Would you ever stay overnight in a place that is said to be haunted? Not alone.
35) Do you ever have dreams/nightmares that end up occurring in real life? No?

43) While on the subject of phobias, do you have any things you want people to tag for safety? IDK?
44) Have you ever used a Ouija Board? If so did anything happen during your experience? I did but nothing happened except that you could feel people were pushing for the letter they wanted.
45) Favorite horror movie antagonist? Shruuuug they are all usually very stupid, boring and unrelatable. I liked the woman in mind hunters tho.
46) Favorite horror musical? Little Shop of Horror.
47) Zombie apocalypse weapon of choice? A big olâ shiny knife. Rocks?Â
48) Have you ever read Goosebumps? Yes. And they were more entertaining than scary.
49) What would be your back story if you were the killer in a horror movie? Why are you killing people? I dunno... murder of people who hurt innocent people? Other avenging shit.
50) Have you ever gone ghost hunting? Yes. As a kid. It was lame.
