The earth shook again, but no one was hurt and there was little damage. They seem to have moved far enough from the volcano. Maybe this is a better place to stay for a while.

Then later that same day, there was a much bigger quake, and they lost almost half of everything.

Beonill turned into an Angelic toddler, Gartnait is Clingy, and Cochlan is a Stargazer. Gartnait's eye colour changed, as happens to babies, to be something less uncanny.

Okay so I don't do full sets often but I love these sets so figured I would convert every piece (; - disclaimer: okay no, not every piece, some are variations for taller walls (which are possible in ts3 but I think they suck so I'm sticking to short walls)

Some general notes;

>Most items are low poly (under 2k verts, with a few exceptions) and have small textures.

>Everything that could be made functional is functional. Columns are decorative and include 'half' versions in case you want to place them on the wall (and avoid seeing part of it through the wall which gets on my nerves lol) / I recommend using either OMSP or S3DT to move some of the objects up or down, since I didn't resize decor objects to fit short walls (in case you don't want it to cover just one level ;)

>*Known issues: One of the sides from the medium 2x1 & 2x2 doors from the "Soho" set sink a bit into the ground after use, I couldn't fix it but I'll update the files if I ever manage to get them to work as expected </3 - Also the "Soho Shop" windows' glass clips a bit with each other but it's almost unnoticeable unless you set the camera very close :s

It was Roe who could get the most number of votes in one round, and it was in the finals: 628 votes

It was also Rosie in round 1, who was able to gain the biggest percentage: 98,4%

Lipton vs Speirs in round 6 scored the most number of votes in any of the polls: 976 votes

Rosie vs Lipton was the only poll to reach 50-50%

Eric Kocher got the less number of votes in the polls (he deserved better): 8 votes

Drew laughs at the comments on his current post. His fans love Y/N, yet they have no idea who she is and he truly does enjoy the anonymity of who she is. It means he gets to keep his slice of heaven to himself. When he started acting, he moved out to LA because it just made sense job-wise, but he found himself constantly coming back to Asheville, North Carolina. Of course, he missed his home state; however, the real reason to go back to NC is Y/N Y/L/N. The love of his life. She is the most down-to-earth and in-the-moment person he has ever met. At a concert, she is the only one singing along without her phone in the air, recording the show. During dates, she isn’t buried in her phone or obsessed with taking pictures of everything because she has no social media to post them on. She lets him be their photographer because she knows he will keep their private moments, private. He found love and that is with her.

California Internet Bills Update 8/1/2024

A heads-up for everyone, all three of the major internet bills in California currently have dates before they proceed.

AB 3080, the major age verification bill for access to adult sites is set for its second reading on the CA Senate floor on this coming Monday's meeting 8/5/2024. This will not be the final vote, if it passes this second reading then it will have a vote at the third reading before going to the Governor to pass, veto, or allow to pass without signature. Current Recommended Action: call your CA Senators to voice your opposition, and call/write Governor Newsom's office in advance in the event that this bill passes through the Senate after the coming third reading.

AB 1949, the bill regarding collection and sale of data from those under 18 if the website has knowledge of their age, is set to go through the CA Senate Appropriations Committee on Monday 8/5/2024. If it passes through then it'll go to the Senate floor. Current Recommended Action: check to see if your CA Senator is a member of the committee, and call their offices to voice your opposition to this bill.

And lastly SB 976, the bill which intends to keep "addictive" social media feeds away from young users and set up systems to prevent notifications during certain hours as well as create systems where "verified" parental figures may step in and give permissions to them to access these feeds, as well as deny "addictive" feeds by default if it hasn't "reasonably determined" that the user is not a minor by 2027, will be heading to the CA Assembly Appropriations committee on Wednesday 8/7/2024. If it passes, then it will go to the Assembly floor. Current Recommended Action: check to see if your CA Assembly member is a member of the committee, and call their offices to voice your opposition to this bill.

Thank you for your hard work and everyone using your voices. Now that KOSA has thankfully been benched for the moment, I hope to ask all California users to spread this around and use your voices to keep these bills away from well-reasoned Californians at the state level as well as federal.

Lando abriu a porta do apartamento e o frio logo o recepcionou. O lugar estava escuro, quieto e muito gelado, como se fantasmas, totalmente sem vida, dançassem no meio da sala.

Ele acendeu a luz e chamou pela noiva. Recebeu silêncio.

Largando a mala no chão e as chaves no aparador ao lado da porta, ele olhou ao redor, a procura de algum sinal de que ela estava ali. Não encontrou nada, então foi em direção ao quarto deles, mas não havia ninguém ali também. Nem no quarto de leitura, nem no escritório, nem em nenhum lugar. Conforme percorria os cômodos, Lando sentiu que algo estava errado e não gostou nada do sentimento de sufocamento que começava a roubar seu ar aos poucos.

Ele e a noiva estavam juntos há sete anos, mas as coisas já não eram as mesmas há pelo menos dois. O pedido de casamento, inclusive, havia sido uma tentativa de salvar tudo. Porém não funcionou. A cada dia, a noiva se afastava mais, parecia mais triste e decepcionada por Lando nunca cumprir tudo que um dia prometeu a ela.

Lando a amava, disso tinha certeza, mas em algum momento começou a se sentir insuficiente, começou a se sentir incapaz de fazê-la feliz. Vozes em sua cabeça gritavam que ele não daria conta de conciliar tudo, que ele precisava escolher entre ela e a carreira, que precisava deixar de ser egoísta e resolver a situação, mas simplesmente não conseguia. Era corajoso o suficiente para dirigir um carro há 300km/h, mas não era para enfrentá-la ou deixá-la ir. Permaneceu paralisado, fingindo estar alheio às mudanças, se afundando cada vez mais em trabalho.

A Formula 1 tomava tanto seu tempo, que quando deu por si, já não era somente o Lando Norris; era o Lando Norris da McLaren. E ele deixou ser assim, se transformou numa pessoa que não reconhecia, se distanciou tanto do que era, que nem se quer enxergava mais o antigo Lando.

Então, não podia a culpar por cansar dele; até mesmo ele estava cansado.

Quando chegou na cozinha e viu o envelope laranja (Há! Grande ironia!) em cima da bancada, nem precisou se aproximar muito para saber que sua vida mudaria e aos poucos, começou a senti-la desmoronar em volta dele.

O piloto se aproximou devagar, como se fosse uma bomba prestes a explodir e o tomou nas mãos com cuidado. Seu nome estava escrito com a caligrafia delicada da amada. Ele sentiu a garganta fechar e os olhos marejarem antes mesmo de abrir.

Puxou uma das banquetas e se sentou, abrindo o envelope com cuidado. Dentro, havia um pedaço de papel, mas também um objeto pequeno, a aliança de noivado. A primeira lágrima escorreu veloz pela bochecha do piloto quando ele segurou o objeto, ele a secou e a perna automaticamente começou a balançar pra cima e pra baixo. Com as mãos trêmulas, abriu a carta.

Além da caligrafia, que perdia seu padrão do início para o final, como se escrita com dor e rapidez, também havia manchas pelo texto. Manchas de lágrimas.

Seus olhos se nublaram ainda mais com as lágrimas que agora escorriam descontroladamente pelas bochechas. Ele respirou fundo antes de começar a ler.

“Querido Lando,

Por muito tempo, você foi minha fortaleza, meu farol em dias nublados e escuros, uma espécie de forte onde eu me abrigava para me esconder das fortes ventanias repentinas que apareciam destruindo minha vida. E você exerceu seu papel tão bem.

Nunca se importou em me ligar; não importava o lugar do mundo que você estava, nunca se importou de me ouvir, de me acolher em seus braços quentes e sempre cheios de vida. Seu sorriso era o que costumava ser meu aquecedor, era instantâneo sentir o calor percorrer meu corpo quando via você sorrir.
