7/4/15 July 4th.

I spent the morning cleaning and organizing. Kuya Chris took me to Ate’s place, and then Kuya Mario dropped me off at Ate’s friend’s place, Maria. Her house was crazy! She lives in the mountains of Poway in a gated community. They had a tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool & Jacuzzi, a garden including a full-on orange vineyard, a mini chicken farm, a trampoline, and a barbecue in their backyard. They also had a pet peacock and a dog who thoroughly enjoyed eating fallen oranges, if she wasn’t playing fetch with them, of course. Jumping in the trampoline was definitely a highlight of the party. Ate was seated completely, but with the kids jumping she ended up flying at least three feet in the air. It was hilarious. You had to be there, though! Fireworks were awesome because they were being shot from a lower elevation (Poway High School) so it was almost as though we were seeing them closer to eye level! Afterwards, we went back to Ate’s place and watched Wreck It Ralph. I was so surprised how much I liked it! Great movie.
