THE MESSAGE OF THE SONG SOUNDED INTERESTING & WHILE SHOTO WANTED TO QUESTION KIRISHIMA ABOUT IT MORE, he decided not to —instead, he remained silent while the other spoke, intently listening to each word delivered. When his classmate — or perhaps they were friends, he was unsure & he was nowhere near bold enough to ask about that with the knowledge his lack of understanding may be perceived as an insult rather than his clueless attitude to social situations — fell quiet, Shoto hummed, hoping it wasn’t out of line to finally reply as he opened his mouth to speak.

Voice quiet, but not particularly soft — it held the typical monotone albeit slightly more emotional than it might have been should this conversation have been taking place several months prior. He was quick while talking, just in case the other had only meant to pause for a moment

Moving on is better for you in the long run.❞ & Shoto knew that, knew holding onto anger & resentment & grudges was unhealthy & ended up destroying most chances at friendship & if his classmates weren’t so forgiving & kind, he was sure he’d have remained alone & isolated to stew in his negativity for the rest of high school & perhaps even the rest of his life.
