I had a university student from Switzerland residing in my house who was somewhat obsessed in trying to define women in a classical definition and I thought to myself, he can just as well argue about the sexes of the angels in heaven, the angels in hell don't matter. Stooping to such level of stupidity is beyond me. Whatever, I am fascinated with Louise Brooks hair style and the beauty it exudes with her bangs hiding her forehead.

Diary of a Lost Girl (German: Tagebuch einer Verlorenen) is a 1929 German silent film directed by G. W. Pabst. The film was shot in black and white, and diverse versions of the film ranged from 79 minutes to 116 minutes in length. This was Brooks' second and last film with Pabst, and like their previous collaboration, Pandora's Box, many film historians consider it to be a classic. It is based on the controversial and bestselling 1905 novel of the same name by Margarete Böhme. The novel had been previously adapted by Richard Oswald as Diary of a Lost Woman.

Thymian Henning, the innocent, naive daughter of pharmacist Robert Henning, is puzzled when their housekeeper, Elisabeth, leaves suddenly on the day of Thymian's confirmation. It turns out that her father has made Elisabeth pregnant. Elisabeth's body is brought to the pharmacy later that day, an apparent suicide by drowning, upsetting Thymian. Pandora's Box (German: Die Büchse der Pandora) is a 1929 German silent drama film directed by Georg Wilhelm Pabst. The film follows Lulu, a seductive young woman whose uninhibited nature brings ruin to herself and those who love her. It is based on Frank Wedekind's plays Erdgeist ("Earth Spirit", 1895) and Die Büchse der Pandora ("Pandora's Box", 1904).

Happy Year of the Snake to you all 🐍

It's been a week of thresholds. Last week was Lunar New Year, and there was lots of beautiful snake art to celebrate. The 139th Groundhog Day has been and gone, with Punxsutawney Phil predicting 6 more weeks of winter (though the predictions on our dashboards have been somewhat...gloomier in that respect). Yesterday also brought us the 67th Annual Grammy Awards which many have enjoyed, and Béyonce finally got that award for Cowboy Carter. In other news, Arcane still reigns supreme on the dash, and there are two Robins in the list this week. This is Tumblr's Week in Review.

La propuesta de reforma al artículo 1° constitucional que busca limitar la aplicación de tratados internacionales en materia de derechos humanos representa un retroceso significativo en la protección de estos derechos en México. Además de contravenir principios fundamentales como el pro persona, podría implicar el incumplimiento de obligaciones internacionales asumidas por el Estado mexicano, con las consecuentes repercusiones jurídicas y diplomáticas. Es esencial que cualquier modificación constitucional en esta materia sea objeto de un análisis profundo y participativo, garantizando que se mantengan y fortalezcan los estándares de protección de los derechos humanos en el país.
