D02's "The Beginning" if Toei let 02 Chosen think this through even more Rationally
02 Chosen: (*seeing a YOUNG TAICHI & HIKARI*, VERY Confuse) Someone like Daisuke or Hikari: But HOW do we get back HOME?? ? Ken: If Taichi-san and the younger Hikari-san are here, then *the rest could be*, too. Ken: Which could *also mean*, *KOUSHIRO*-SAN... We *could* 'LOOK' *for Koushiro*. Hikari: I remember where Koushiro-san's {place} is!! Miyako, worried: But wouldn't Koushiro-san be *very young* here?? Ken: *Maybe*... but it's *worth a try*. DAISUKE: HOW would it be *worth a try* if Koushiro-san is like a 5-going-on-6 year old?!?? KEN: Koushiro-san probably had at least a *starting* computer setup *even back then*. EVERYONE: !!!!! Iori: Koushiro-san's computer might be able to open up the Digital Gate to take us back home!! Takeru: That's right!! Even *at a young age*, Koushiro-san had an interest in gathering knowledge, and *may* even have had a computer - or the laptop - even back then!! KEN: If *I* try to go back home and use *ours*... KEN, HESITATING: (OSAMU would likely find me.) KEN: (If Osamu found us, it could turn out BAD.) Ken: (Because Osamu would likely *instinctively* Know it's Me, somehow...) Ken: ... It wouldn't be good if someone from "our time" sees and recognizes us, but Koushiro-san *doesn't know us Yet*. Hikari: Koushiro-san is very dedicated to our cause, if it came to it, Koushiro-san would keep our secret! Miyako, getting kind of excited now: So it's settled! Let's *look for Koushiro-san* then!! DAISUKE: I can't believe we're seeking the help of a *five-going-on-six year old* Koushiro-san... Rui: If it means we can *find and HELP* Ukkomon, I'm willing to try, even if I don't know Izumi. (They reach the Izumi household...) Young Koushiro, upon outside the Izumi household already, looking at them as if they're SUSPICIOUS (because They Are): Who are YOU??? DAISUKE: (*ERK*...) (To Be Continued, Maybe...!!)

Digimon Adventure 02 ~ {United States of America Chosen} ~ {Personal} Favorite Supporting Character{s} Steve & Frigimon {+Bonus New York Chosen Children Group} + Daisuke Motomiya + Mimi Tachikawa (+Satoe & Keisuke Tachikawa) & Michael (also technically a U.S. Chosen) "We couldn't have done it without you {Daisuke}." - Steve
Image usage rules + original commentary under the ‘read more’! {Along with another, not Steve specific, but maybe significant "Kizuna spoiler"}
"...That was on December 25th at 3 A.M., local time." (Narrator)
Notes: In the books released post-series production and 02's conclusion, Steve was revealed to be the very first confirmed Jewish American Chosen Child, a significant step forward for the Digimon franchise, as it acknowledged the Jewish community living in real-world America.
Because Steve is Jewish, Steve would have been personally celebrating Hanukkah that year, not Christmas (hence I left out the last subtitle referencing Christmas to prevent confusion).
Chanukah in 2002, when 02 officially takes place, however, was November 29th ~ December 7th, and these scenes took place closer to Dec. 25th (early 3 A.M.). But that doesn't mean Steve, as a Jewish American, wouldn’t have noted Hanukkah (or Chanukah) at all earlier that year, and it’s good to note that when we're discussing potentials of 02′s “real-world based” “timeline”!
(Basically, what Steve is doing here is joining in on, via being invited by being a Chosen Child who is able and willing to help, an Interfaith gathering of individuals that was originally meant to simply send corrupted by virus Digimon back into the Digital World, and was not actually a "holiday" focused gathering initially!) :) {If Steve joins them after the fact is unknown, but either way, Steve would have to be invited and it would have to be acknowledged that Steve as an individual does not celebrate Christmas religiously.}
In the scenes above, Steve is one of only two U.S. Chosen that are also given spoken lines to personally thank and acknowledge Daisuke Motomiya's help (along with the rest, but also specifying Daisuke). {Michael aside, as even Michael doesn't get to comment verbally.}
Gifs by @izzyizumi, {Do Not Repost or Reproduce without my Permission} {Do Not Remove Caption} (Please Ask to Use)
BONUS:
^ Though Steve can't be seen clearly in the shot, in the 'gathering' of Chosen Children including many International ones, a Frigimon can very clearly be seen on left. As other Chosen from the World Tour are included here, it is almost defintely Steve's Frigimon, and either Steve is somewhere in the background but off-screen, or Steve and Frigimon were somehow separated...

I had to shorten some dialogue and exclude some of the "They're glued to each other by the hip" shots, but here it is: The "Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning Takari" masterpost.
In a similar fashion as Miyakensuke, Takari are mostly framed next to each other whenever there is a group shot. There are a few exceptions, but they still remain as close as ever, responding to each other's remarks and/or sharing knowing glances and smiles. And while that is nothing we haven't seen before, they're still displaying some notable dynamics: First of all, they are back to being "the old souls" of the 02 squad, meaning that, even though they can - and will! - be silly little trolls and teases, their position as "senior Chosen Children" becomes visible again whenever a part of the "lore" gets brought up they are familiar with - or not.
The most interesting scene they share has to be the "What should we do?" scene in which, as outlined here, they are basically mirroring Taichi's and Yamato's conversation in Kizuna. Hikari, while taking after Taichi due to their past experiences, still displays more idealistic outlooks throughout the movie (that also get challenged here and there); while she understands the need to fight for the sake of others, she still believes that her faith in her bond with Tailmon will outlast every obstacle - and that this can apply to every person out there as well. In her view, their belief will affect everyone - thus, her trying to comfort and calm Takeru is only natural. Takeru, on the other hand, understands the need to fight as well, but he interprets the "responsibility for others" differently. He's trying to be more rational about it all, basically implying that they cannot make this choice for everyone else - because if they fail, it'll affect everyone just as much. It is basically an argument about faith vs. rationality to achieve the best possible outcome for everyone involved. They basically agree, but insist on their own viewpoints, which is a refreshing aspect we haven't seen about these two and their relationship before.
(There may be a tiny bit of an underlying romantic subtext too, but it is very subtle; not only are they shown during the snowball fight before Miyaken, they're also INDIRECTLY pulling a trope-y "It's pretty" - "Yeah, you are it is" moment, which may or may not be taken with a grain of salt.)

⌜I Love, Robot | Chapter 02 Chapter 02 | history. . . loading⌟
╰ ⌞🇨🇭🇦🇵🇹🇪🇷 🇮🇳🇩🇪🇽⌝

❘ prev. chapter ❘༻✦༺❘ next chapter ❘

Over the next few years, things began to change. You noticed the distance between you and Rain growing, the once-strong bond you shared slowly fraying like the worn-out edges of an old blanket.
It wasn't something you could put your finger on at first, just a creeping sense of separation that settled in your chest whenever you caught sight of her from across the room.
You'd see her more often now with the colony kids, laughing and chatting, a bright spark among the worn and weary.
At first, you were happy to see her connecting with others, but then you realized she was spending more time with them than she was with you.
It hurt, but you understood. She needed friends her own age, a distraction from the hardships that seemed to hover over all of your lives like a dark cloud.
You were about 19, maybe 20, when everything took a darker turn. You'd been freelancing for a while—small jobs that kept you under the radar, nothing too flashy.
That was until a desperate small business, teetering on the edge of collapse, sought your skills.
You were hesitant, but the pay was decent, and the work seemed straightforward enough: hacking into some old systems, unlocking what was needed to keep them afloat.
And it was a success. Or at least, you thought it was.
But success came with consequences. You didn't realize you’d been tracked, not until someone with far more power than you could fathom found you.
They came to you with an ultimatum, their voice smooth but with an undercurrent of steel that sent a chill down your spine: work for them, take on any job they needed, or they’d turn you over to Weyland-Yutani.
You knew what that meant. You'd seen enough to understand the company didn’t tolerate dissent, especially from a former prodigy with a name they hadn't forgotten.
That's when your life took a dangerous path. You agreed to their terms, the fear of what could happen if you didn't outweighing any hesitation.
The jobs started simple but quickly escalated. Hacking turned into more complex coding, cracking into secure systems, sometimes even building or reprogramming androids and bots—a skill you honed under Marcus's watchful eye.
The pay was good, better than anything you could have made in the colony, and for a while, it seemed worth it.
But it wasn't just the money that kept you going. The promise of protection from other dangerous groups, black-market dealers who might see your skills as a threat, was a lifeline you couldn’t ignore.
To protect Rain and her family, your small, adopted family, you began staying out later, sometimes disappearing for days at a time. At first, Marcus and his wife were upset, worried about your well-being and what could be keeping you away.
Rain, especially, couldn't understand why you'd suddenly become so distant, why you weren't around as much. Her confusion and hurt were plain to see, and it tore at you in ways you couldn't explain.
Marcus eventually eased up on the questioning after he found you one night in the throes of a particularly bad meltdown. You'd come home after a job went sideways—something you hadn't anticipated, a system you couldn't crack in time, and the fallout had been brutal.
You couldn't tell Marcus what had happened, not exactly, but he didn’t push. He simply sat with you in the dim light of the kitchen, his presence a steady, calming force as you tried to pull yourself back together.
"If you ever need to talk," he'd said softly, his voice thick with the kind of understanding only someone who’d lived through hardship could have, "I'm here. You know that, right?"
You nodded, though you knew you'd never burden him with the weight of what you were involved in. This was a part of your life you'd chosen to keep to yourself, a dark secret that had become a necessary evil. And even though you trusted Marcus, you couldn't bring yourself to let him in on this one truth.
But life has a cruel way of taking away the things you hold dear, doesn't it?
Just a few weeks after your 21st birthday, Marcus and his wife fell ill. The colony's cold, damp air had always been harsh, but the pneumonia they caught from the mines was unlike anything they'd faced before.
You watched helplessly as the sickness took hold, their bodies weakened by years of toil in the toxic conditions of Jackson Star. It was like watching your own parents waste away all over again—a slow, painful decline that left you feeling powerless and lost.
Rain was a mess, her normally bright, fiery spirit dulled by the looming reality of losing her parents. She tried to stay strong, but you could see the cracks forming in her armor.
You did everything you could to help, taking over the household duties, scrounging for medicine, anything to ease their suffering, but deep down, you knew there was nothing that could be done.
The disease had sunk its claws in too deep.
One night, as you sat by Marcus's bedside, his breathing ragged and shallow, he reached out, his hand weak but insistent. You took it, holding on tightly, just like you had with your own father all those years ago. The weight of his grip was lighter than you remembered, his strength all but gone.
"Y/N…" he rasped, his voice barely audible over the sound of his labored breaths. "Take care of her… take care of Rain…"
Tears welled in your eyes as you nodded, unable to speak. "I will..." you whispered, your voice breaking. "...I promise."
He smiled faintly, a shadow of his old, warm smile. "Good… that's… good…"
You stayed with him until the end, just as you had with your parents. And when the time came, when the house fell silent except for the soft sobs of Rain and the hollow echo of your own grief, you knew that once again, you were left holding onto the pieces of a shattered life.
And this time, you would do whatever it took to keep Rain safe.
No matter what.
☆

☆
Three years had passed since your adoptive parents' death, and in that time, life had only grown more complicated. You returned from your latest job—a grueling five-day ordeal that left you exhausted and hollow inside.
This time, you'd been tasked with hacking into Weyland-Yutani's high-security network, retrieving files that exposed a chilling directive: in moments of crisis, their synthetics were programmed to prioritize the company's assets over human lives, all under the guise of logical probability.
The job paid well, enough to secure you and Rain's needs for the next six months, but the price was high.
The screams and pleas of employees who’d been betrayed by the very machines meant to protect them echoed in your mind, refusing to let go. You tried to shake the images away as you made your way through the dim, narrow corridors of the small home you shared with Rain.
Entering the room, you found her curled up on your bed, her small frame wrapped around your pillow, her face buried into the soft fabric as she slept. You approached quietly, the soft sound of your footsteps barely audible over the hum of the heating unit.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, you reached out and gently brushed your fingers through her hair. Rain instinctively leaned into your touch, a small sigh escaping her lips as she snuggled deeper into your pillow.
A soft smile tugged at your lips, though your heart felt heavy. Watching her sleep so peacefully, so unaware of the horrors you'd just witnessed, was both a comfort and a curse.
You knelt beside her, continuing to stroke her hair, trying to silence the panicked screams still echoing in your mind. Just as you began to lose yourself in the motion, Rain stirred.
Groggily, she opened her eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep. She gave you a tired smile. "Hey," she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep.
"Hey," you replied softly, your smile widening despite the weight on your chest.
Rain's brow furrowed slightly as she looked up at you, sensing that something was off. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice a little clearer, more alert.
You shook your head, stilling your hand. "Nothing," you murmured, trying to keep your voice steady. "Just go back to sleep, Rain. It's late."
She hesitated but nodded, a yawn escaping her lips as she turned over, curling up again. "Okay... But could you look over Andy?” she asked sleepily, her voice trailing off. "His eyes... something's wrong with them. He's already in the workshop, in sleep mode, waiting."
"Sure, I'll take care of him," you promised, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. She mumbled a thank you, already drifting back to sleep as you stood up and quietly made your way out of the room.
You moved through the darkened house, your steps light and measured to avoid waking Rain. Despite the pitch-black surroundings, you knew every inch of this place—every loose floorboard, every creaky door hinge.
It wasn't hard to navigate to the small workshop in the back, a space that had become both a sanctuary and a battlefield for your mind.
Without turning on the main lights, you reached for the small lamp on your workbench, flicking it on and casting a soft, warm glow over the room.
In the corner, covered by a sheet, was Andy. You pulled a rolling stool behind you as you approached, removing the sheet with a practiced motion to reveal the android beneath.
Andy's face was serene, almost peaceful in the dim light. The shadows cast by the lamp danced across his features, highlighting the sharp lines of his cheekbones and the soft curve of his lips.
Despite knowing he was a machine, you couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship—the subtle blend of human and synthetic, the way his face seemed almost too real.
You reached out, gently cupping the side of his face, your fingers tracing the contours of his jaw. His synthetic skin was cool to the touch, but familiar. Your hand moved to the side of his neck, pressing the small port to awaken him.
The change was immediate. Andy's body tensed, his right hand shooting up to grab your wrist with surprising speed and strength. His eyes flickered to life, emitting a soft glow in the darkness. "Shh, it's okay," you whispered softly, not pulling away. "Sorry to startle you."
At the sound of your voice, Andy's grip loosened, his eyes quickly focusing on you. "Y/N," he said, his voice calm and even. "You're back."
You offered him a small smile before turning to grab your diagnostics tablet. "I've only been gone for five days," you said, connecting the tablet to the port in his neck and starting the diagnostic test.
Andy blinked as if you'd made the dumbest statement ever. "Five days is more than enough time for someone to be missed."
You giggled softly at his matter-of-fact tone. "Thanks, Dee." You glanced at the screen, focusing on the data streaming in. "Rain mentioned you've been having issues with your eyes. Can you tell me more about that?"
Andy's eyes flickered for a moment before he answered. "I... I can still see, but my vision sometimes become foggy. It affecting my ability to accurately assess situations and objects."
You nodded thoughtfully, continuing to run the diagnostics as you chatted with him, your fingers moving deftly across the tablet. "I see... We'll get it sorted. So, how have things been while I was gone?"
Andy remained still, his gaze fixed on you. "Rain and I have missed you."
A warm smile tugged at your lips. "I've missed you both too." You paused, reflecting on how much had changed since the day you found Andy in that scrapyard.
Your perception of synthetics had shifted over the years.
You'd never treated them as mere machines, but having one as a constant companion had blurred the lines between man and machine.
Despite knowing he wasn't human, Andy's human-like qualities were something you cherished. They made him unique, almost... alive in a way that was hard to define.
The soft beep from the tablet pulled you back to the present. You looked down, seeing the source of the issue on the screen. "Ahh," you sighed, turning the tablet to show Andy.
The screen was filled with lines of code, complex and unintelligible to most. To anyone else, or even to an android whose primary function wasn’t related to programming, this would have been complete nonsense. But since bringing Andy back online, you'd made it your mission to always explain everything you did to him, guiding him through each process.
Part of you believed he deserved to know, a small gesture of respect for the android who had become so much more than just a machine.
But there was another reason, a darker thought that lingered in the back of your mind: the possibility that one day, you might not be around to help him.
You wanted Andy to understand his own systems and the intricacies of his coding—not just to function but to ensure he could take care of himself if the worst were ever to happen.
Andy studied the code intently, his synthetic mind processing the information with an almost human-like concentration. "There is an error in the environmental calibration subroutine," he noted, identifying part of the issue correctly.
You chuckled, impressed. "Close, Dee. But, you got most of it right." You pointed to a specific line of code. "This here—it needs an update. The last patch didn't account for the increased levels of smog and soot in the colony's air. It's affecting your visual processors."
Routine set in as you continued to work. "What is your directive, Andy?" you asked out of habit, fingers moving swiftly to implement the necessary changes.
Andy responded almost instantly. "To do what's best for Rain."
A second passed, and then he spoke again, his voice softer. "Do you ever think about changing the directive?"
You paused, fingers hovering over the screen as you looked up at him, puzzled. "What are you talking about, Dee?"
Andy hesitated for a moment, his eyes studying you with a strange intensity. "The day Marcus uploaded my directive, I remember asking him if the girl standing above me when I first came back online was Rain. He to me it was you, Y/N."
You laughed lightly, trying to lighten the mood. "Did you ask him if I was a great hacker too?"
Andy's expression remained serious, his voice steady. "No. I asked him, 'But what about what's best for Y/N?'"
Your fingers stilled on the tablet, and for a moment, you didn't know what to say. You looked up at Andy, his face soft with an expression you couldn't quite place.
A small, self-deprecating laugh escaped your lips. "What's best for me? Ha, I've never been too good at figuring that out. If I had a directive for myself, it'd probably be something like 'make everything harder than it needs to be.'"
Andy let out a low hum, his gaze unwavering. "Even if it's not my directive, just know, I'll still want what's best for you."
You blinked back the tears welling in your eyes, quickly turning your focus back to the tablet. "Thanks, Andy," you whispered, your voice barely audible. You continued your work in silence, the weight of his words settling over you like a heavy blanket.
Andy's head tilted slightly, his eyes zeroing in on your face as if committing this moment to memory. "Of course, Y/N... anytime."
The remainder of the time was spent in a comfortable silence as you finished updating his code. You leaned back with a sigh, setting your tablet down beside you. "How are you feeling now, Andy?"
The android paused for a moment, then said, "Well, it's better than before. But if my vision gets any worse, I guess you could say... my future won't be looking 'too bright'."
You just blinked at him, taken aback by the unexpected joke, before laughter bubbled out of your lips. "Was that a 'dad joke'? Where did you learn that from?"
Andy's eyes seemed to brighten, and he sat up a little straighter. "I learned it while walking Rain to work the other day," he explained. "I like them."
You chuckled, warmth spreading through your chest at the thought of Andy picking up on humor. "Well, I'll be sure to learn some more and tell you. We can make it a little hobby between the two of us."
Andy nodded earnestly, his expression softening. "I'd like that. Sharing experiences can strengthens bonds."
You couldn't help but smile at his earnestness. "You're right about that, Dee. We can even start a collection of the worst jokes we can find."
For a moment, the room felt lighter, the shadows less heavy. Andy's presence, his attempts at humor, made the grim reality outside these walls feel a little less suffocating.
It was moments like this that reminded you why you fought so hard to keep your small world safe, even when everything else seemed so uncertain.

A/N: Ahhhh! sorry for things moving thigns so fast with all the time skips, but if you're confused, by the end of this chapter You're like 24-ish and Rain is 21, i'm following fandom ages instead of rain's confirmed 25 age. also, sorry for the long 2 intro chapters, i know most would like to just jump right into the story, but my mind wont let the good stuff happen until it at least lay down the lil backstory 😭💀💀 man, i really need to learn to get over that, but anywhoooo, hope you guys like this enough, thoguh it isn't obvious, i want this to be a sort of a slow-burn, well, on the reader's end at least, lolol, Andy's gonna go full speed tbh, but then again, that's why he's a yandere here.... hope i dont bore you guys too much, but dont fret, next chapter will start immediately with the plot! also, someone asked me to make a tag list so i'll just put that down below:

Pairing: Jimin x Reader
Warnings: None, just chaos and Jimin being a lovable menace
Genre: Fluff, Comedy, Crack, Friends-to-Lovers
Summary: You never should have let Taehyung talk you into taking that stupid soulmate test. Now Jimin, the most dramatic menace to ever exist, refuses to let it go. Forced into ridiculous dates, relentless flirting, and one too many soulmate-themed activities, you start to wonder: maybe, just maybe, the test wasn’t so wrong after all.
---
### **Chapter 1: The Stupid Quiz That Started It All**
You should have known better than to trust Kim Taehyung.
It had started as a normal night—video games, snacks, and Jungkook screaming in defeat as you obliterated him in Mario Kart. But then, as you basked in victory, Taehyung leaned over with a suspicious glint in his eyes.
“Guys,” he said, grinning, “we *have* to take this test.”
“What test?” you asked, already wary.
“This ‘Are You Soulmates?’ quiz,” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows, turning his phone around to show a BuzzFeed-style website. “It calculates your compatibility based on *highly scientific* questions.”
Jimin, lounging next to you, snorted. “Scientific, my ass.”
“Shut up, just take it.”
You leaned closer, scanning the first question: **"Which potato dish speaks to your soul?"**
“Oh, yeah. Super scientific,” you deadpanned.
But Taehyung was relentless. “Come on. Just do it. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Jimin smirked. “You get paired with me and fall madly in love.”
“More like I set my laptop on fire,” you muttered.
“Wow,” Jimin clutched his chest, feigning hurt. “That *wounded* me.”
Still, for reasons you would never understand, you gave in. “Fine. Whatever. Let’s get this over with.”
You both grabbed your phones, answering increasingly ridiculous questions. **Favorite movie genre? Biggest pet peeve? What color gives off ‘main character energy’?** You clicked at random.
It wasn’t *real*, after all.
Until—
**"100% MATCH! CONGRATULATIONS, SOULMATES!"**
Silence.
Jimin stared at the screen. You stared at the screen. Taehyung *howled* in laughter.
“Oh,” Jimin breathed, eyes wide with delight. “Oh, this is perfect.”
“No, this is rigged,” you argued, pointing at the flashing heart animation. “It’s a scam. A joke. A—”
“—A declaration of our fated love?” Jimin finished, beaming.
You groaned.
And that was the beginning of the end.
---
### **Chapter 2: The Menace Awakens**
You should have known Jimin wouldn’t let it go.
The next morning, you woke up to a text.
**Jimin (7:02 AM):** Good morning, my fated one ✨
**Jimin (7:03 AM):** Did you dream of me? I dreamed of us frolicking in a field of roses.
**You (7:05 AM):** Stop texting me this early or I’ll make you dream of my fists.
**Jimin (7:06 AM):** So feisty. I love that about you. Truly, fate has chosen well.
By the time you met up with your friends, Jimin had taken it *several* steps further.
“Everyone,” Jimin announced, slinging an arm around your shoulders, “I have an important announcement.”
Taehyung and Jungkook, the devils who had encouraged this chaos, smirked in anticipation.
“We,” Jimin continued dramatically, “are soulmates.”
Jin choked on his drink.
Yoongi blinked. “From that dumb quiz?”
“*Highly scientific* quiz,” Jimin corrected. “And yes. We got a perfect score.”
You groaned. “I’m going to commit a crime.”
Namjoon patted your shoulder in sympathy. “Just don’t make it murder.”
Jimin, unfazed, turned to the group. “Anyway, as soulmates, it is my duty to woo her properly.”
Jungkook perked up. “Oh, this I gotta see.”
And thus began the worst (and possibly most entertaining) era of your life.
---
### **Chapter 3: The Forced Dates Begin**
Jimin was relentless.
It started with small things. Holding doors open. Pulling out chairs. Dramatically sighing “Ah, my *beloved*” whenever you entered a room.
But then—
**The forced dates began.**
Date #1: **The “Accidental” Candlelit Dinner**
Jimin “accidentally” ordered an extra meal and dramatically insisted you share it. “It’s *fate*,” he claimed, shoving a fork at you. “The universe wants us to eat together.”
Date #2: **The Ferris Wheel Incident**
Somehow, Jimin tricked you into sharing a Ferris wheel carriage. The moment it stopped at the top, he turned to you with the most dramatic look. “Now’s the part where we confess our feelings.”
You shoved popcorn into his mouth.
Date #3: **The “Hand-Holding Practice”**
Jimin insisted on lacing your fingers together “to get used to soulmate energy.” You let it happen just to shut him up, but—*damn it*—his hands were warm.
Date #4: **The Rain Scene™**
Of course, it had to rain when you were stuck outside. And of course, Jimin had to pull you under an umbrella, way too close, his stupidly soft voice murmuring, “This feels like a drama, doesn’t it?”
You blamed the rain for why your heart skipped a beat.
---
### **Chapter 4: Maybe, Just Maybe…**
At some point, you stopped resisting.
You stopped questioning why Jimin always made you laugh, why your bickering felt like a dance, why his teasing never really annoyed you.
Because somewhere between his ridiculous antics and forced dates—
You started *liking* it.
Liking *him*.
And maybe, just *maybe*, the quiz wasn’t so wrong after all.
---
### **Chapter 5: The Not-So-Fake Ending**
It wasn’t until your friends set you up on one last “fake” date that you finally admitted it.
“You know,” Jimin murmured, leaning on the café table, “we never really proved the test *wrong*.”
You sighed. “I hate that you have a point.”
Jimin grinned. “So, what do you say?” He tilted his head, softer now. “Maybe we give fate a real shot?”
You stared at him, at the boy who had turned a dumb quiz into something real.
Then, with a dramatic sigh, you smirked. “Fine. But only because you’re a menace and I need to keep an eye on you.”
Jimin beamed. “I *knew* you loved me.”
And maybe, just *maybe*, you did.

In the distant past, after the chaos and flame subsided, many creatures baked by the witches scattered across the world. Among them were the Five. Five cookies graced with Soul Jam of the purest kind: Knowledge, Volition, Happiness, Change, and Solidarity. The Dessert World bound by these Five Virtues was nothing short of paradise...

That's how the story starts, that much hasn't changed. A group of five heroes, chosen by forces greater than themselves to protect the world of Earthbread against those seeking to destroy it. But the line between heroes and villains is one that can easily shift... given the right circumstances.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, after all, bringing them to the most tragic of ends... A fate even the Witches were unable to foresee. These five cookies, once heralded as saviors of all cookie-kind, became agents of chaos and destruction. The five virtues distorted and twisted, becoming Despair, Obstinacy, Ambition, Gluttony, and Discord.

Emboldened, the beasts ushered in an age of darkness, agony and strife that quickly spread across Earthbread. The Witches could not stand to see their creations suffer any longer. They stripped them of their powers and sealed the beasts within the seed of the Silver Tree. With the untainted remnants of the Soul Jam, they reforged and purified them into: Hope, Serenity, Prudence, Rebellion, and Harmony. With this, the creators sent the new Soul Jams back into the world with the hopes of finding cookies worthy enough to wield its power...

SYNOPSIS
Exchanged Fates is an alternative universe(AU) that takes the Five Ancient Heroes and switches them with their primeval predecessors, the Five Beasts. Alas, even with new heroes, the past still loves to repeat. As an old threat reawakens from a forgotten time, will these ancient heroes be able to stop him from finishing what he started?
This AU will be using the existing traits (and speculative ones for unreleased characters) of each character rather than simply swapping personalities. Due to the nature of this type of AU, the original plot of the source material will naturally be altered; meaning that in addition to new characters, locations, and establishing kingdoms, preexisting characters, plot lines, artifacts, etc., will either be altered or unchanged depending on their roles in the story.
For reference, here are the most notable swaps.
Pure Vanilla → Shadow Milk Hollyberry → Eternal Sugar Dark Cacao → Mystic Flour Golden Cheese → Burning Spice White Lily → Silent Salt Dark Enchantress → Oblivion Knight Cookie
Any posts related to this project will be located under the tag #exchangedfatesau. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to ask me in my inbox or in the comment section! Your support is greatly appreciated!

pairing: george weasley x fem!black cat!reader
description: george is finally making moves on his long-time crush, the only issue is that she’s a little hard to read, so once he convinces her to watch his quidditch game, he’s unsure of whether they’re on the same page or not.
warnings: not smut but brief implications of sex, pre-established situationship, george being a cutie but also a little insecure, reader’s house is not listed beyond the fact that she’s not a gryffindor, cursing, underage drinking (but they’re wizards so who cares), grumpy x sunshine/black cat x golden retriever trope, reader gets a teensy bit jealous but george only has eyes for her
words: 5K

The Weasley twins were certainly not unaccustomed to being the topic of conversation among their fellow students at Hogwarts. The pair were constantly getting into trouble, wreaking havoc upon unsuspecting students, and finding the most outrageous ways to disrupt their classes. Together, they were legends among the student body, but the same could not be said about Fred and George on their own.
Fred was, without question, the more popular of the two, though not so much that they were considered to be on different social standings. He was the more outgoing of the two, the one who seemed more interested in chasing girls, the one who tended to instigate altercations with other boys in the hallways. Not that George did not possess any of these qualities or interests, but there was certainly a difference between them. While Fred had the occasional rumour on the run about himself and Angelina, or Alicia, or Katie, no one had ever heard of George’s involvement in any sort of scandal without his brother at his side. Perhaps that was why, once it finally happened, the rumour spread so fast.
It wasn’t truly a rumour, though, because it was entirely true. Enough of his peers had been able to witness the shift in his behaviour and exactly who his attention seemed to be going towards. To be completely fair, if he had chosen to chase after anybody else, he might not have been such a hot topic for gossip, but he had not been enamoured by just any girl, it had been the one girl that had not ever shown genuine interest in just about anything.
Straight-faced and monotonous, she was most often found tucked into the corner of the library or having a hushed conversation with her very small group of friends–though, even they would admit that they had little more insight into her private life than anyone else would. So, the moment that George Weasley was spotted walking her to class and joining her in the library after supper, word spread very quickly.
Though, no one has ever been able to spot anything necessarily romantic between the two, beyond their frequent time spent alone together or the occasional brush of his hand across her own. This was where the rumours began to spiral; I heard they were just friends; Lavender heard from Pavarti who heard from Padma who heard from Cho that she’s only tutoring him in potions; There’s no bloody way, they literally could not be more different.
For a while, George liked the rumours. He liked knowing that people were so curious about he was able to capture the heart of the most elusive girl in school, the one he’d fancied since the end of his third year. He liked having people ask him about it, and he liked giving a very vague response that kept the questions coming. He liked returning to his dorm at night and finally being able to recount his encounter with a girl to his brother, as Fred had to him so many times. Most of all, he loved the fact that people could not understand their relationship because of how private it was, meanwhile she was putty in his hands the moment they were completely alone together. He liked that he was the only one who saw her like that, the only one to make her laugh, the only one to know her on a deeper level beyond the stoic front she put on for the public eye.
He did, however, sometimes wish he could hold her hand in the corridors, visit her in her own common room in the evenings, invite her to his Quidditch games, visit Hogsmeade together, introduce her to his mum, get married, support their growing family with his successful joke shop… Perhaps he was getting a bit ahead of himself with those last few, but he was so completely awestruck by her that he was able to envision an entire future for himself with her at his side. He was more than respectful of her boundaries and her disinterest in any public displays of affection, but he was dying to finally put an end to any of these rumours for once and for all.
Gryffindor had done exceptionally well in Quidditch that year, easily breaking through semi-finals against Hufflepuff and heading into the championship against Slytherin, and Fred was certain that he would willingly get himself a week’s detention with Snape if it meant he wouldn’t hear George’s nagging any longer. His brother had been unsuccessfully attempting to build up the courage to ask her to come watch rather than spending the day in the library, waiting for him to return, but every time the chance presented itself, he was too worried about her pulling away and decided to just squash the idea. His twin brother, however, was the poor soul left responsible for George in his distraught state, and was simply through with it, taking matters into his own hands.
Fred was certain he’d never spoken to the girl before in all of their time at Hogwarts together, but that did not hinder him as he cornered her in the library one morning, palms flat to the surface of her desk, hunching over to be at eye level with her as he finally confronted her. He was immediately caught off guard when she addressed him by name, his hopes of simply pretending to be his brother and asking her on his behalf flying out the window, but he couldn’t hold in his laughter at her shocked face, completely bewildered that he was speaking to her as she sputtered out a response.
“I didn’t know he wanted me to come.
“And why wouldn’t he?”
“He never asked.”
“That’s because the poor git is terrified of you. Completely obsessed, he is,” Fred told her, “He’s been mad for you since our third year.”
Her eyebrows rose in surprise, having no idea that George even knew who she was that long ago. As far as she was concerned, their attraction to one another was mutually new. A pit of guilt formed in her stomach once she realised that, not only had he been interested in her for three years, but he’d also been so patient in asking her to go any further in their relationship to a point that he was afraid to ask for his own emotional needs to be met. The entirety of her time at Hogwarts, she had consistently interacted with the same few people outside of her classes, and even then she generally tended to stick to herself. The fact that George had shown interest in her was surprising enough, she was certain that she was simply too happy with him in her comfort zone to recognise that she had not even considered his own, which brought her to the Great Hall that following Saturday, diverting her path from her own house’s table and instead finding the group of majorly red-headed Gryffindors.
She was so nervous she was certain she would vomit. George was one thing, she’d grown attached enough to him that she could say quite literally anything to him, but she was approaching a group that consisted of him, two of his brothers, his sister, his best friend, and the Boy Who Lived, especially since every single one of them had turned to watch as she grew closer, all except for the boy who she was hoping to sneak away from them with as little conversation as possible.
She cleared her throat once she finally reached the group, smiling bashfully as his chocolate brown eyes turned to her in surprise. His jaw was clenched, mid-chew of his breakfast as he glanced over his shoulder, seemingly taken aback by her willingness to approach him when he was with his friends.
“Good morning,” she offered a nervous smile to the group, then turned her attention back to the red-head in question, “George, I need your jumper.”
“Sorry?” He choked out as he finally swallowed.
“Your jumper?” She suddenly realised exactly how embarrassed she would be if he were to refuse or make her stand there for a moment longer than necessary, “I, um, I don’t have any red to wear. To the game, I mean.”
“You’re coming?” His younger brother, Ron, spoke through his own food-stuffed mouth, followed by a grunt of pain as his sister drove an elbow into his ribs.
“You’re coming?” George repeated the question, though his voice lifted with excitement as her words finally registered in his head.
“If that’s okay,” she shrugged.
“Okay?” He laughed breathlessly at her, almost tripping as he clambered over the bench to head towards the exit with a clear pep in his step, “you have no idea how okay that is.”
She glanced over at the group, each of them donning looks of both shock and amusement at what had just happened. She met Fred’s gaze as he winked at her and she felt her face flush before offering a meek goodbye to everyone, turning on her heel and chasing after him.
One challenge had been completed, but even when she was wrapped in one of George’s warm knitted Quidditch jumpers (the one he’d slightly outgrown over the summer and kept on hand for emergencies–though, he had never imagined that this would be the emergency in question), her footsteps wobbled as she climbed up the steps that lead into the bleachers, eyes scanning the rows of seats for an empty space or a familiar face, eyes narrowing in on Ron sitting with Hermione Granger.
Their conversation came to a screeching halt as she dropped down onto the bench next to the younger girl. They both shared a look, then peered over at the girl curiously. She settled into the bench, catching their uncertain stares out of the corner of her eye as she wracked her brain for something to say.
“Nice day, isn’t it?”
Hermione turned her head to face the older girl, driving her elbow into Ron’s side as he failed to stifle his laughter, “It is. Are you excited for the match?”
She paused as she considered her next words. She’d only watched quidditch a handful of times, and she had never even stuck around for the entire game. She didn’t know the rules, nor did she understand what made the game that interesting in the first place, but the last thing she wanted was for George to find out through his younger brother that she hadn’t even wanted to go to the game in the first place.
“Mhm,” she hummed in response, “I’m sure it will be…good.”
Hermione nodded knowingly, turning back towards the pitch, where both teams were beginning to take flight and warm up. She was glad that neither Hermione nor Ron made much of an effort to speak directly to her, but left their conversation open for her to join in if she wanted, but she was just as happy to sit silently and listen to them bicker back and forth throughout the duration of the game. It made her feel less out of place, especially now that she was donning a red and gold jumper rather than her own house’s colours.
When the game was over, Hermione paused as she and Ron stood to leave the bleachers, Hermione stopped to invite her to the victory party that would be taking place in the Gryffindor common room that evening. She was surprised, having never gone back there with George at any point, though he had offered on many occasions, but thanked the younger girl anyway and moved down to wait outside the locker room for her preferred Weasley.
She fought off a grin as she listened to their excited cheers, easily picking out the synchronous chants of Fred and George over everyone else’s. This was a side of George she did not get to see very often; he made an effort to match her energy when they were together, which, up until now, she had never seen as an issue. It never occurred to her that she was being selfish with his time, because he never really seemed to mind it and always assured her that he and Fred were very different people when they were together in comparison to how they were separately, that he appreciated the quiet moments they shared together while the rest of his life was so loud. She was suddenly very self conscious of the fact that he may not have been truthful–maybe that was the reason why he never actually invited her to the game. Maybe Fred had been overzealous in his effort to bring her there, and that George was planning to slowly remove himself from her orbit.
She was broken out of her quickly spiralling thoughts by her own squeal as she was lifted off of her feet, a pair of arms looping around her waist and twirling her around. Her feet finally met the dirt path once more, allowing her eyes to fall on the grinning visage of George Weasley before he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. Her spine stiffened at the touch, though she did not hate the affection as much as she would have thought when he was so clearly in a state of pure excitement.
“Hi,” she breathed, eyes peering up at him in awe, taking in his messy ginger hair and red, wind bitten cheeks, “You–you played good. Well, I mean.”
“More than well, I’d reckon,” Fred appeared at his twin’s side, arm slinging over his shoulder, “We were bloody brilliant, to no surprise.”
“Well,” he turned his gaze back to her, ears burning red as his expression turned equal parts bashful and nervous, “I had a bit of extra luck today, I think.”
Her face burned at his words, for this was the first time they had been in any way affectionate with one another out in the open, especially anyone so close by as Fred and the rest of the team as they filed out of the locker room, each peeking over with little smirks on their faces. She was suddenly aware of exactly how public their relationship had been, even if it had been entirely behind closed doors.
“Yeah,” Fred released his twin from his hold, pushing him closer to the girl as he turned to follow behind his teammates on the path back to the castle, “make sure you spend more time with him then, would you? He could use a bit of luck.”
George snorted and rolled his eyes, murmuring under his breath as his brother jogged to catch up with Angelina and Katie, “Git.”
She cracked a small smile as a nervous giggle escaped her, “He’s…nice.”
“Nice, that’s one word for it,” George chuckled, stepping even closer to her as his fingers stretched out to meet her own, “I’m glad you came. It was nice having someone cheering for me.”
“I was hardly the only one cheering for you,” she rolled her eyes, “I’m sure half of the girls in my year are plotting to slip you a love potion.”
“Well they’d certainly need one, because I only remember hearing you,” he smirked at her, both of them knowing fully well that she had not cheered that loudly, instead opting for more clapping than yelling. “I mean it though, thank you for coming. I know it isn’t exactly your…scene.”
“I didn’t hate it. I had fun,” she shrugged, “what are you doing later?”
A small look of uncertainty crossed his features, “Um, nothing. Should we meet in our usual spot?”
She felt a pang through her chest at his selflessness; he had clearly been wanting to go to the party in his common room, but was willingly choosing not to go in order to spend time with her. Then, as if he couldn’t be any more heartstopping, he didn’t even tell her in order to ensure that she wouldn’t feel bad about keeping him away from his friends.
“Actually,” she paused, finally lacing their fingers together, “I–uh, Hermione invited me to this party tonight. Wanna be my date?”
His eyes lit up, “You? At a party?”
“Shut up,” she pushed her spare palm against his shoulder, “I can ask someone else if you’re not up to it.”
“Nuh-uh, no takesies-backsies,” George shook his head, a beaming grin spreading across his features, “It would be an honour to be your date to the party being held in my honour.”
She leaned into his side as they began making their way up the beaten path towards the castle, “Do me a favour?”
“Anything.”
“Don’t leave me alone there, please.”
He laughed, leaning down to kiss the crown of her head, “Trust me, I know better than to leave anyone alone with you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Well, they’d either be dead or madly in love with you. I’m not sure which one I’m more afraid of.”
George hardly let go of her hand for the rest of the afternoon, leading her to join him and his friends for supper in the Great Hall, ensuring that she was able to be as involved in the conversation as she wanted, never pressuring her to step too far out of her comfort zone. She had been pleasantly surprised to find that Katie, Angelina, and Alicia were all incredibly kind–not that she necessarily thought otherwise, but one could assume that three girls who were smart, pretty, and exceptional quidditch players may be a bit full of themselves, but they had generally seemed more interested in finding out information about her and her relationship with George, and they all seemed excited to discover that she was going to attending their victory party later that night.
He finally let her escape him for a few hours after their dinner, walking her back to her own common room and letting her go with a sweet kiss, and once she was in the privacy of her own room, she could no longer hold back the face-splitting grin that crawled across her face. She hadn’t expected to go so far out of her comfort zone that morning, having thought that she would attend the game in silence and that would be it. Instead, she felt a warm feeling of belonging–a feeling that she had never truly been able to find at Hogwarts up until this point.
She used the time she had to get herself ready and take a short nap; her social battery had been severely drained by her earlier activities and would certainly need to be refilled before she could attend any sort of party. When she was finally ready, now donning a pair of jeans and a dark red blouse, she began the trek to the Gryffindor common room, where she met George on the way.
“I told you to wait for me,” he whined as he came to her side, “I would have walked you the entire way.”
She shrugged, smiling up at him teasingly, “I got impatient.”
“My apologies for being too slow, love,” he laughed, taking her hand in his own as he took in her appearance, “You look nice. I thought you said you didn’t own any red?”
“I just found this buried in my trunk,” her face warmed as she remembered the excuse she had made for needing his jumper, “or maybe I just needed an excuse.”
A pink tint crawled across his cheeks and reached the tips of his ears, “You didn’t need an excuse.”
“I know.”
They continued to walk in a comfortable silence, fingers laced together as they wandered through the torch-lit staircases leading to the portrait of the Fat Lady, who rolled her eyes in annoyance as George uttered the password, moaning about how many times she’d had to open and close with this bloody party and bloody students.
The party was in full-swing when they stepped inside, though she suspected it had been since shortly after the match had ended, considering that many of the players were still in their gear. She took a moment to take in the common room, admiring how it was so uniquely Gryffindor, just as her own seemed perfectly suited to her house. The room looked warm, with red and gold painting every inch of the room and a sultry amber glow from the raging fireplace. She almost wondered how the room had not come to be uncomfortably warm, considering the flames and the amount of people who had come to celebrate, but she knew better than to think too hard on it considering what school they were all attending–sometimes there was no answer to be found other than the understanding that magic did not see or respond to reason.
They were greeted by George’s closest group of friends as he led them through the crowd, each of them clearly having begun their celebrations with the half-empty quart of fire whiskey on the table before them as they cheered upon the couple’s arrival.
The girls were quick to pull her away from George, forcing her to join them on the plush, red velvet sofa and pressing a goblet into her hands. They bombarded her with questions about her relationship with George, questions that they had seemingly been waiting for them to be separated before they could be asked.
She felt her body burn with embarrassment as they pestered her, asking how far they had gone, if they were exclusive, and dozens of other questions that she had not expected to be asked. Her nerves were calmed, slightly, by the sight of George over Katie’s shoulder, his own gaze finding her easily through the crowd, and even more so as she drained her cup twice over and allowed Angelina to fill it up once more.
Under the influence of her drink, she had found it easier to partake in their conversation, though she was still much more reserved than the other three. She had even gladly offered a cheerful hello to Hermione, who had made a point to come greet her, as well as Harry and Ron, who both seemed equally as surprised and amused at her uncharacteristic friendliness. Her eyes flickered up to where George had been standing all night, her heart dropping when she found the space empty. She whipped her head around, scanning the room with urgency.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, whirling around to find Harry staring down at her with a glimmer of amusement in his green eyes, pointing over his shoulder, “I think he just went over there. By the punch bowl.”
She followed his gesture, eyes falling on his lanky figure among the crowd. She sighed, nodding at the younger boy in thanks as she turned to find George in the crowd once more. She narrowed her eyes as she found him once again, only this time, he was not alone.
Her hand instinctively reached out to take hold of Alicia’s bicep, her grip firm as an iron shackle as her words cut through whatever story she’d been in the midst of telling, “Who is that?”
All three girls turned to follow her gaze, all sharing a glance of uncertainty as Katie responded, “Oh, um, that’s Ursula, Ursula Pots. She’s in our year.”
She clenched her jaw, “And who is she to George?”
If it hadn’t been for the alcohol, she would have been mortified at the idea of portraying such blatant jealousy in front of a group of people she barely knew, but her eyes narrowed nonetheless as an ugly green pit appeared in her belly.
Angelina cleared her throat, “She’s fancied both of the twins since first year, but she definitely prefers George. I wouldn’t worry about it.”
“No?” She asked, “you’re certain they’ve never…”
“George humours her from time to time, but they’ve only snogged once or twice,” Alicia yelped as Katie slapped her bicep, quickly correcting herself, “not since you two have been…you know, but–hey–”
She wasted not a single moment before she pushed herself off of the sofa, pushing her way through the crowd and ignoring the glares and shouts of protest as she shoved passed, tunnel vision focused solely on the flirtatious mannerisms of the girl standing in front of George and holding back the desire to wrap her fist into her curly blonde hair and yank it clean from her head.
George caught the sight of her from the corner of his eye, taking a fair step back from Ursula as she sidled up next to him.
“Hi,” she greeted, though her tone was as monotonous as ever.
“Hi,” he responded, all-too-aware of the change in her demeanour; each time that he got closer to lowering her walls, something happened that only proved to reinforce them, “was wondering where you’d gone off to. Having fun?”
“I hadn’t moved all evening,” she pursed her lips, “but yes, I am having fun, thank you.”
The blonde girl cleared her throat, eyes narrowing at the close proximity of the pair. Her lips curled into a sickly sweet smile as her eyes snapped over to her, “Hi, I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Ursula. Are you a friend of George’s?”
She scoffed, “Something like that.”
“I’ve never seen you around before,” she pressed, her tone condescending as the lie fell from her tongue, “have you just transferred?”
She gave her the very same, stern stare as before, “No, I haven’t. Perhaps we simply don’t have the same taste in friends.”
“Oh, well you must be in a different house, then. I did not think the other houses would be attending, it was a Gryffindor victory, after all.”
“I invited her,” George finally spoke up, his hand gracing her lower back.
“You did?” Her smile faltered for only a moment, “how nice. You’ve always been such a selfless person, George.”
He seemed taken aback, “I–”
“George, I’m tired,” she cut in, fury flooding through her veins.
He turned to stare down at her, “Oh, I can walk you back to–”
“I don’t think I’ll make it that far,” she shook her head, lips forming a pout, “could you take me to your bed?”
His face flooded with hot blood, pale flesh burning a deep scarlet red at her suggestion, “Are you…you’re sure?”
She nodded, lashes fluttering against her cheek as she took his hand in her own. He nodded, setting his own cup aside and leading her away without so much as a second glance at the blonde girl, whose own face was a matching shade of red as a result of her own anger.
George led her to the staircase leading up to the boy’s dormitories, unintentionally making quite the scene as George’s close friends clapped him on the back and cheered him on. He shrugged off the attention, not wanting to let on about any part of their sexual relationship, ducking his head to hide his bashful smile as he led her up the stairs and quickly ushered her into the dorm that he shared with his twin and their mutual best friend, Lee.
He nervously kicked the small amount of clutter on the floor to be hidden beneath his four-poster bed, guiding her to sit on the edge of his mattress as he moved to his trunk, digging through his clothing and pulling out another one of his jumpers.
“Here,” he handed it to her, “you can change into this, it will be more comfortable.”
She took the jumper, setting it aside and replacing it with his hand to pull him closer, “What if I don’t want to go to sleep yet?”
He furrowed his brow in confusion, “I thought you were tired.”
“And I thought that I wouldn’t last another moment speaking to Ursula,” she tilted her head, “I suppose we were both wrong.”
She pushed herself onto her knees, coming face-to-face with him. Her fingers traced over the delicate skin of his neck, one hand lacing through the ginger hair at the nape of his neck while the other slid over to grip his shoulder, finally pressing forward to capture his lips in a kiss. He grunted in surprise, her tongue slipping into his mouth with ease as she gently began to tug at the fabric of his jumper.
He pulled away in surprise, “We shouldn’t–”
“I want to,” she affirmed, “I’ve never wanted to more than I do now.”
“You’re drunk,” he shook his head, “let’s say, if you still want to tomorrow, I will gladly have you. For now, let’s go to bed. As much as I enjoyed having you with us today, I was beginning to wonder if I would ever have you all to myself again.”
“You always have me all to yourself,” she giggled, pressing another kiss to his lips, “I had fun today, surprisingly.”
“I’m glad. I had fun seeing you have fun,” he smiled, “and seeing you get jealous.”
“Jealous? Me?” She laughed, “you are too full of yourself, Weasley. I have nothing to be jealous of, you haven’t even asked me to be your girlfriend.”
He raised a brow, “I suppose you’re right. How foolish of me. Would you–”
“Not now,” she huffed, “like you’ve pointed out, I am drunk. I would like to be sober when it happens.”
“I suppose you’re right,” he mused, “well then, would you get changed already? I’d like to go to bed.”
She laughed, glancing down at the jumper on the bed before moving her gaze back up to the awestruck brown eyes staring down at her.
“Would you at least help me change?”
His eyes widened in surprise, but his grin only widened with mischief, “Well, if I must.”

Who is Tahlia Bliss
Tahlia Bliss where should we begin.
Let's start with saying a bit about who she is, Tahlia is a girl who loves to have fun but knows when to be serious she's the friend that many people know they can talk to even if their not close with her, she loves a laugh but loves to win she is very competitive even if your her best friend, Tahlia is a team player with good morals but still isn't afraid to state her opinion.
Tahlia got into Football from her dad who was a die hard Chelsea fan, it was quite easy for her to get into football when her dad put her in it at the age of 3. Her mum was fine with it up until she was 9 and there were no girls teams for her to play in, she didn't like the idea of her 9 year old daughter playing against the ruff boys who were tall and that bit more stronger then her, but Tahlia and her dad didn't let it go, Tahlia's mum eventually gave in and let her play, much to her own dislike. Playing with a boys team up until the age of 12 toughened Tahlia up quite a bit. She got recognised by the under - 16s Chelsea youth girls program and left the boys team and signed for the girls youth team. After playing for Chelsea's youth team Tahlia also began training for the England national team in 2012, being chosen to train with the under - 15s, where she made her debut as a midfielder for the team in 2013 against Sweden.
Tahlia went through all the youth team with a group called "the good peeps" which is a friendship group that includes some of the girls that play on the senior team now, one of them including Georgia Stanway who made her senior debut on the same day as Tahlia, the 8th of November 2018 which was a 3-0 victory against Austria.
In 2016 Tahlia signed a 1 year professional contract to play for Chelsea wfc after being in their youth teams since 2011. When her contract finished instead of signing an extension she went on and played for a college team in America which was UCLA, she played from 2017-2020 becoming captain in her last year. After Tahlia's last year at UCLA she went back and signed with Chelsea with a 4 year contract.
So far Tahlia's England stats are
Senior Caps: 77
Senior Goals: 24
England Debut: 08/11/2018

About team Hebi/Taka and team seven
Part 02
So this led us to team Hebi and team Taka… ok ok, I know it's the same group of people and all, but hear me out.
Well, in chapter 344 Sasuke made an interesting allusion about snakes and hawks and so then called Orochimaru a snake and Sasuke himself as a hawk.
But then the first name he gave to his team was hebi (snake). I don't know if everybody is aware of the fact that the names Sasuke has chosen it's linked to how he sees the world.
Hebi, as a snake, Sasuke has one only target and it is the only thing he could see in front of him. Sasuke walks on the ground having a limited perception of the world he lives in.
At the moment Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi he also became aware of the corruption in the world, so as a hawk, he started to fly and have a better perception of everything that happens beneath his eyes. So then he became Taka.
And he had two moments as Hebi and Taka. Hebi with Itachi and Danzo and Taka with Tobi and when they revived the Kages.
Well well well… This can also be applied to the other members of the team.
Each of them has an objective. Suigetsu wants Kisame's sword, Karin wants to stick around Sasuke and Juugo has some kind of duty to see if Sasuke is strong enough to be Kimimaro’s memento.
And everything changed when Itachi died.
I don't know if we can assume that Juugo knows about Sasuke's past, but surely Suigetsu and Karin knew.
It wasn't shown, but for sure Sasuke had told them what happened and again they had to choose to be with him or not because the reason why they were reunited was to find Itachi, however, now the story is different, so then they stayed and fought for Sasuke's purpose.
And that's why I like so much team taka, each of them has something in common with Sasuke, as if each of them reflects a bit Sasuke's history and trajectory, so this the reason why they stood with him no matter what, they understood him (even more than Naruto, sorry)… that's why Kishi has this urge to create a team for him.
Who will follow Sasuke? People that are equal to him.
And the same goes for Sasuke. He acknowledged them because he knows they share the same pain and loneliness and that's what makes them strong.
And the point is: the moment all of them change for taka we could see their real intentions.
Karin and Juugo databooks shows it clearly.
Kishi himself wrote questions for the characters and that's great because in the next databook he answers those same questions.
For Karin
We already knew that Karin had feelings for Sasuke, but at the beginning we saw the characterization of a fangirl with pervert thoughts, and unfortunately, the data release of her first databook was made one year after her debut in manga, so unlike Juugo and Suigetsu, Karin’s past background was never mentioned in the manga. So, basically the databook series was released in the middle of volume 43 and 44 at the moment Hebi became Taka, so eventually we had the first information about her.
Her heart and mind was with Taka and she never felt loyalty towards Orochimaru, she stayed in ottokagure because of Sasuke, but why?
Her databook came at the moment she turned in Taka showing us her true self and true history.
This leads us to the other databook where we learn about chapter 480, the reason why she stayed with him, demonstrating a selfless love and showing her real intentions as a Taka member.
It's important to point out that the last databook series was released close to the last chapter of the manga.
So at the end we learn her history and why she felt so close to Sasuke.
With Juugo we had something more subtle. His first intention was to see if Sasuke was worthed to be Kimimaro's memento, so he needed to see with his own eyes because for him only Kimimaro's wishes mattered so in the beginning Juugo was testing Sasuke's intentions.

The translation is kind of weird and has a huge difference between the Brazilian Portuguese translation, it says “but then a light shines, the one for whom Kimimaro gave his life… Sasuke. So Juugo came out of his own isolation to test Sasuke’s power.”
Here we don't see nothing new from the manga
But here Juugo had finally recognized Sasuke's power and wishes, not only as a memento, but as the person Sasuke was. So we can assume that this changes began after Itachi's deaths when Sasuke's purpose changed, at that moment Juugo’s changed too.
For that, my point of view is the thing: Juugo didn't know about Sasuke's past, but at the moment he was aware of all of the history he just wanted to be the person Kimimaro was to him and this lead us to another detail in Juugo's changes as a Taka.
This painel here
Ladies and gentlemen, Juugo was putting Karin's wishes above Kimimaro's, and therefore, he was thinking about Sasuke's well being too. So this is a markable point for his character guuys, can you see why?
Juugo no longer protects Kimimaro's interests which were the same as Orochimaru's, he is no longer a Hebi (or what we saw in my previous post) that he is no longer Orochimaru’s Hebi… He is now part of Taka and he does everything to protect Sasuke's will.
Another thing that is very important to point out is that part in the databook it says “Imprinting in these eyes Sasuke's existence, he pushes forward towards the ninja world in turmoil.”
Juugo is described as a gentle person that doesn't wanna fight or hurt anyone, but for Sasuke he made sacrifices and fought whenever it was necessary…
Suigetsu, he was more difficult to understand because he had one and exclusive goal that never changed, so he said to be with Sasuke to have a chance to capture Kisame's sword and that it was when he was a Hebi.
But when his first databook came out we got to understand why he wanted that so bad.
This dream wasn't exclusive his and he didn't only wanted to collect swords, his dream of rebuilding the seven ninja swordsmen came as a result of his brother's death.
And those same informations repeated in his last databook.
But, unfortunately, all his path was a waste of time. Kishimoto just forgot about it and somehow he didn't know what to do with Suigetsu after all, not only him, but team taka as a whole and that's so sad. Actually, at the end, Suigetsu got the executioner ‘s blade back? I Don't remember that.
Anyways, Suigetsu turned out as a Taka in the moment we discovered about his brother and it seems his brother was his only bond, somehow he extended this bond with the rest of team taka at the point of sacrificing his own life for them. I believe that the moment Suigetsu knew about Itachi, he thought about his own brother and wanted to fight for Sasuke's purpose too.
He wasn't just looking for swords after all, in the end he was looking for freedom too.
Read this one {∆}
That's it, team Taka is a resemblance for Sasuke, they were written exclusively for his trajectory and each of them can understand Sasuke better than anyone.
That's why they tag along and stay together. Unfortunately they didn't have a place to return, and even though Kishimoto gave ambitions and goals to each of them, in the end, Team Taka remained in the same place that took everything from them… Just like Sasuke as well.
Suigetsu could have returned to his homeland, Juugo wanted to stay in the land of lightning and Karin... Well, in a universe where Sasuke can't be with her, many possibilities to reconnect with the past or start over.

The DT-6800 Daughtress
When tensions between the United Nations Earth and its surrounding space colonies erupted into a series of more and more devastating conflicts, both the Earth military and the Space Revolutionary Army invested significant material and manpower into developing new weapons systems to gain an edge.

By the outbreak of the Seventh Space War, the mainstay mobile suit of the United Nations Earth was the DT-6800 Daughtress, remarkable for being totally unremarkable.

As the main mass-production unit of the United Nations Earth during the Seventh Space War, the Daughtress saw action in every theater on Earth and in space, seeing many variants developed over time.

The machine proved so resilient that it even saw use after the cataclysmic mass colony drop that ended the war.

Many leftover UNE mobile suits were pressed into service by the Alternative Company, a megacorporation in control of most of North America following the end of the war.
The Daughtress also proved popular among the many Vulture groups operating on Earth. Vultures, independent scavengers and mercenaries, were known to extensively customize their machines.

The Daughtress was also used by the resurgent UNE as they began rising to prominence, with the faction even continuing development of the machine.

The NRX-018-02 Daughtress Neo saw extensive deployment by the New UNE during the so-called Eighth Space War, as several factions rushed to take control of the mysterious lunar-based D.O.M.E.
The Daughtress line of mobile suits would see further deployment by the mysterious Eyes of Space organization in A.W. 25.
The DT-6800 Daughtress was originally designed by Junya Ishigaki for the 1996 anime After War Gundam X.
This machine was chosen because I love AWGX and think it needs more recognition.

Summary:
500 years after Sun Wukong's (Aaron Kwok) imprisonment under the Five Fingers Mountain, a young Buddhist monk Tang Sanzang (Feng Shaofeng) sets out for a journey to the Thunder Monastery in India to collect Buddha's scriptures. When he is attacked by a tiger, he is forced to free Wukong and the Monkey King learns that he has to protect the monk throughout the journey, because the Bodhisattva Guanyin ensured he would be bound by an enchanted circlet that can cause him pain whenever Tang Sanzang chants a certain sutra. Soon the duo meet Zhu Bajie (Xiaoshenyang), a lustful pig demon, and Sha Wujing (Him Law), a djinn-like monk. He fights a dragon, defeats it and transforms it into a horse as his mount.
The company travel to the Yun Hai Xi Kingdom, a land terrorized by the White Bone Demon (Gong Li) who has been eating people in order to extend her unnatural life and avoid the Wheel of Reincarnation. As the demoness learns about Sanzang, she decides to eat him in order to stop her reincarnation cycle and achieve everlasting demonhood. She takes the appearance of an old woman and lures the group into a cottage in the woods. To prevent Wukong from using his truth-seeking eyes to see through her disguise immediately, she throws tainted dust into his eyes that clouds his sight. Then while her disguised minions keep Wukong, Bajie and Wujing occupied, the demoness tells Sanzang a story about how she was forced to marry as a young girl, and when her village suffered famine, the people blamed her for it, even calling her an evil demon, and attempted to kill her as a sacrifice to the gods. As Tang comforts the old lady, she attempts to kill him, but is stopped by Wukong. The demoness escapes before Wukong can deal the killing blow and leaves the dead body of the old lady behind. Sanzang and the others don't believe Wukong that all the women he murdered were demons, and blame him for killing the innocent. Sanzang punishes Wukong by chanting the sutra and causing the circlet to tighten painfully on his head. Afterwards, Sanzang climbs to the top of a mountain where Wukong is sulking. Sanzang tells Wukong he thinks they are both very alike, for they both only trust what their own eyes sees. But together, they are better able to discern the truth. This is why they were all chosen to be on this journey together.
The group arrives to the kingdom's capital and the King (Fei Xiang) throws a feast for them, begging Sanzang to exorcise the bloodthirsty demoness from their land. Suddenly Lady White appears and demands the monk, but he offers her his help in enlightenment instead. She tells Wukong that they are both very alike, and tries to persuade Wukong to let her devour the monk, but he deceives her instead and a fight ensues. During the chaos, the King's guards kidnap Sanzang. It is revealed that it's actually been the King kidnapping and killing the children in a desperate attempt to cure himself of a cursed disease by drinking their blood. He tries to kill Sanzang, but Wukong arrives and saves the monk and the surviving children as well. All of the group are celebrated as heroes, but as a little girl approaches Sanzang, Wukong beats her and her mother to death as well, because his truth-seeking eyes perceive both were possessed by the White Bone Demon. In a fit of anger and disbelief, Tang banishes Wukong away. As soon as Wukong leaves, Sanzang gets kidnapped by the demoness.
In the demoness' lair, the White Bone Demon gives Sanzang a day to convince her to give up her evil ways and embrace nonviolence and enlightenment as the true path to immortality. She reveals to him the story she had told him earlier was true, recounting her previous life as a mortal. Right before Sanzang's time is up, he is saved by Wukong at the last minute. Wukong, Bajie and Wujing fight the White Bone Demon and her army and finally defeat her, with Wukong mortally wounding her. The Buddha comes down from the Heavens to collect the defeated demoness' soul and banish it to oblivion but Sanzang pleads Buddha to grant her mercy and give Sanzang one last chance to save her soul from destruction. Buddha tells him that he would have to lead her on the path herself, meaning he would have to sacrifice his own life. The monk begs the demoness to show remorse and accept the Wheel of Reincarnation, but the White Bone Demon would rather die as a broken tainted soul in Sanzang's body instead of returning to the Wheel of Reincarnation. Saddened, Tang begs Wukong to kill him, too. The Monkey King refuses at first, but Sanzang explains how he used to think he just had to recite Buddha's teachings to convince people to become good. Now he understands he must also lead by example and do good in order to convince people. Sanzang had to do this for his own journey towards enlightenment. Wukong finally understands the monk's desire to help the demoness change her fate, and tearfully agrees, promising Sanzang to wait for his return. Wukong brings his staff down and Sanzang's body is changed into a statue. In return Sanzang says if he gets a chance to do so in his next life, he would be glad to be Wukong's master again. Because of Sanzang's sacrifice, he succeeds in leading the demoness to her next reincarnation, freeing her of her pain and hatred.
Some time later, Wukong and his friends still wait for the return of the monk, but continue their journey to the Thunder Monastery. Wukong rides on Sanzang's horse with Sanzang's statue strapped to his back. From Heaven, Guanyin drops a bead of water from her magic vase that falls to earth and hits right at Sanzang's hand. The surface cracks, revealing a human finger underneath.

Aita for telling my lil sis that she isn't that important even when her friend group is standing with us?
[😬💣🫐]
This is a long story background of the story / main focus(???)
Soo me[16F] am I highschooler and I have this extra activity that I do after school called landservice.( Basically we're a group of a bunch of people from the same school that shows to 4 loves by working together. The 4 loves are: love for your fellow people, love for your beliefs, love for labour amd love for nature)
It's my sister's[10F] first year of doing landservice, while I have been doing it for over 7 years. She was really sceptical over whether she wanted to do it but my mother insisted she try just as she did with me 7 years ago.
Soo I just wanna say that her middel school's landservice was soo crappy I had to endure it for 4 years. Soo last year at our once a year meeting to get ideas of what to do next year, we decided we would go help the middle school with their landservice.
We have done it once and yesterday(22/02) me and 4 others were chosen to help the kids make small bunnies out of wool( i was the oldest there rest were 13-15). Now for us highschool kids it's easy peasy but let me tell you middleschoolers don't have a single thought in their brain.
We were task to help the kids when they struggled and were divided in different groups. I got stuck alone with the grade 4 who were the most kids there(there was like 30 grades 4s there mixed language) and since their the youngest of the bunch they struggled the most.
I helped there and then there then suddenly there's like five or four kids surrounding me with questions.( just to say I am very shy with people my age but I absolutely love working with kids.)
Soo here's where the story gets interesting!
My sister and her group didn't really understand the task of what to do and I had to go and help them frequently (they still didn't get it right though)
She would get me to help her group while I'm busy with other kids. Then at one point she just started crying because hers wasn't working out and her friends tried to get me to go help her. But at that moment I was help 7 English kids[my English is the best in our group of five soo I also had to help them alot more] and explaining how to do it with the limited time we had. And her friends just kept bothering us till I said to go let some one else help her.
After I help the bunch I went to try to find my sister, just to find out she refused to get help from anyone else in our group even the teachers. Now that really pissed me off.
I went to talk to her and said that I wasn't there to be her babysitter or mother I was here to help ALL OF THE KIDS THERE not just her. I wasn't going to take this bullcrap from her she is old enough to do it alone or be able to ask anyone else for help.
So that's where I landed in front of my sisters friend group telling her she isn't that important amd she was bloody mad. Soo were he friends calling me a bully amd that I was to mean.
Also told our mum about this later and she says she understand but that was an asshole move.
And after alot of thought I see where I could be the asshole.
Soo aita???
What are these acronyms?

What it means to be "chosen" - burden, fate, acceptance
This is not going to be a full analysis on the whereabouts of why and how "The Chosen One" trope is being executed in the Digimon Adventure series, because frankly... The lines have pretty much been blurred throughout the different iterations. Even the question of why some children in particular were chosen has been answered differently depending on which source material and which person you'll ask - and thus, there are different interpretations out there. Whether it's because of their potential (in regards to certain attributes, the subject of friendship or in general) shall not be discussed in full, but let's say... The very first Chosen Ones were chosen out of necessity, even if chance may have been involved.
If you ask me personally, the main premise one can and should take away from all of it actually boils down to a cheesy quote from the dub version of the first Pokémon movie: "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."
Replace "birth" and "life" with "Chosen Child status" and it fits again - regardless of what characters you apply it to. The only difference here is - that they may not refer to it as a "gift". Because this is something they all handle differently, depending on what version you look at, once more. So I wanted to make a little, very inoffical ranking on how the status is being perceived by all of them. Keep in mind that, by the end of 02, you could say that ALL of them have accepted it as a part of their lives, some more willingly than others, but the general tone is the same:
"Being chosen is nothing special and yet we all understand that there is a necessity, that we have a duty to fulfill."
After characters like Sora or Yamato had already questioned being chosen in Adventure, Ken was the first character that challenged the idea of it being a "burden created by chance".
"It could have been anyone but me, so why was I chosen, why did I have to suffer and get punished?"
This theme is being explored in similar yet different ways through the protagonists of the later movies - Meiko (and Maki), Menoa and Rui all represent tragic figures in a somewhat twisted "game of chance", used by higher forces. We know that the number of Chosen Children doubled each year - whether due to Homeostasis meddling mingled with Rui's wish shall not be subject of this post, but overall, we can say: They all received the "gift" of partnerships. However, neither of them were meant to last, due to different circumstances. Which includes Ken as well - because once corrupted or unable to fulfill a certain "duty" any longer, all these partnerships were (sometimes temporarily, sometimes permanently) ripped apart.
Long story short, for the sake of the following ranking, I will include Tri onwards for completion sake - however, it's just a temporary state, because "Adventure Beyond" may fix some of these views.
Rejects it as a burden (temporarily): Sora
This one is, sadly, quite self-explanatory due to the current state of Sora being "out of the loop". She had been among those who initially (Adventure) fell into despair due to the burden of having to save the world - and while she temporarily accepted it (02), it all played into her trauma of not knowing who she was and how to define herself outside of "labels that were externally assigned to her". So yes, despite her clearly loving her partner... We shall wait and see how she will deal with this in the future.
Ambilvalent, had to get through several stages of contemplation, but overall knows it's part of who they are (still ongoing): Yamato & Taichi, Miyako & Iori
These two "groups" are here for different reasons. The entirety of the Adventure-verse spends a lot of time telling us how torn Taichi and Yamato are basically all the time - they're more than willing to save the world whenever it's required, but struggle with the "Chosen Child identity" and what it means for them as "normal people". Because as strongest fighters, they know they shoulder a lot of responsibility, for themselves, their friends and families, but also for the worlds out there. Fighting yet causing sacrifices when they themselves still have to deal with heavy childhood trauma not only causes them to clash, but also to (subconsciously) reject their duties, hence causing their partnerships to (temporarily) vanish. Which is very similar to the tragic figures talked above - which is also why they all suffer from depression, fear of abandonment and identity crises. They're perfectly aware of the duty and see it as a necessity they HAVE TOO choose for themselves in order to succeed. But the latter is a lesson they had to learn the hard way first - while also remembering how important their partners (and this kind of life) really are to them, because it's literally all there inside themselves. They just have to discover it again.
Miyako and Iori are a bit harder to decipher - they used to struggle strongly with the idea of having to make sacrifices due to their Chosen Child status and I would argue that this is still something that, if they think about it for too long, keeps them up at night. But I would still put them on the outer part of this scale - for the simple fact that they were able to integrate their partnerships into their daily lives. There may absolutely be times when they see it as a chore and annoying - but begrudgingly accept it due to the bond they share with their partners and friends.
Accepts it after coming to terms with it, transforms it positively: Hikari & Takeru, Jyou, Mimi & Ken
The viewer doesn't spend as much time with these two when it comes to how they define themselves. Hikari and Takeru, similarly to their brothers, can be assumed to be aware of their special status among the group. They're the enabling angels - and know that's why they could never quit. On the other hand, despite suffering from childhood and family-related trauma that causes them to fear darkness and separation, they seem to learn not to see it as a "burden" in itself. Unlike their siblings, they have an easier time integrating their partners into their daily lives - maybe because they hadn't been separated for as long, maybe it's because they perceive it differently due to their ages and being surrounded by people who also make it look easy. They are aware of the responsibility - and despite their strong opinions on injustice, they're still able to see the gift in it all.
Jyou, Mimi and Ken are purposefully separated from everyone, due to the fact that they were all at a point in their lives at least ONCE where they were about to quit it all for good - but eventually learned that it was something about themselves they couldn't change. Something they had to live with, if they wanted or not, even if they were ALL heavily affected by watching beloved people/mons die. Mimi loathed the idea of fighting and causing unnecessary death, Jyou repeatedly asked himself why he couldn't just live a normal life aside from outside expectations - but unlike Sora or Taichi, they actively embraced the idea that there were things only they were capable of that nobody else could. This seems to be in contrast to the idea that "being chosen is nothing special" - but these two were capable of making it work in a more casual, less spectacular way and, just like the likes of Miyako, Iori, Takeru and Hikari, were able to keep their partners as active parts of their private and/or career lives all around.
And so was Ken! Ken's journey is that of repentance, wanting to make up for what he did in the past, even if it meant sacrificing himself for that. He could easily have collapsed under that burden - if he hadn't had the right people to surround himself with, showing him that he was valuable despite his wrongdoings. And it feels like - Ken learned that lesson so thoroughly that, even though one can be sure that he still suffers from nightmares as an adult, he's also capable of helping others (just like Rui) to understand that message.
These three chose to embrace it eventually, even if there were temporary doubts.
Embraces it as part of their lives without question: Daisuke & Koushirou
I'm not saying that Daisuke WASN'T having temporary doubts of whether or not he was worthy enough to carry a digivice or even the goggles at first - but he also turned out to be the one who just "winged it" all eventually, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. For him, having a partner, being chosen, meant just that - it didn't make him any more or less special than any other person on the planet with aspirations, goals or all the various life paths. Sure, he may have been flabbergasted and in awe at first, but in the end, meeting V-mon was nothing more than getting another brother AND having the ability to be badass and doing the best he could while saving the world. Despite his mask of self-importance, who knows him also knows that he's down to earth like that and just accepts it all how it is as a side gig to getting his Ramen business going.
Koushirou may be a little bit less casual about it, but for him, being chosen isn't a burden or fate or any magically connected miracle - it is a part of his identity. Yes, he may have been just as irritated by File Island and being surrounded by weird monsters as everyone else was - but he was basically the first one who just questioned it all because he simply wanted to figure it out, NOT because it was a chore. Yes, he may look exasperated at times after having helped to support saving the world(s) countless times, but for him, that is his life. He has committed himself to researching the whereabouts of the Digital World, his tech company is primarily aimed at creating gadgets to support his friends and that serve the initial cause - and his partner is basically with him 24/7 anyway.

PART 2
parts 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08
CW: starvation, aftermath of torture, main character death
With their treasure secured, the chain formed a protective circle around Twilight, their swords out and eager for more. However, once they left the dungeon the yiga hideout was disturbingly empty. Only the echo of their footsteps and stale air left for them to confront. Paranoia seized fast as they swiftly headed to where they guessed the exit was, checking around corners and careful of shadows, waiting for the fluttering of paper and grating laughter to signal an ambush, but their diligence proved unnecessary. They weren’t stopped even once. They got out, and at the behest of Warriors went further than they usually would to get clear of the place. Even then, most of the group couldn’t shake off the feeling that they were being watched.
“What’re they playing at?” Four muttered, looking back toward the direction of the hideout. There wasn’t any sign of pursuit.
“Hell if I know,” Legend replied, sweeping his eyes around the clearing they had settled in. “But I don’t like it.”
“Four, please,” Twilight called.
Four couldn’t stand hearing Twilight plead. He approached where Twilight had laid Wild, fussing over him just like he would when their brother was sick or injured even though the pillow under his head and the cot laid out for him was something he couldn’t appreciate anymore.
The stress of escaping the hideout and the unnerving absence of their enemy fled their bodies for the reality to settle.
Wild was dead.
He was with us this morning, Red insisted. He laughed at our joke about how Warriors can’t handle spice to save his life. He can’t just be dead. He was alive when they took him. He can’t be dead.
Why does he look so malnourished? Vio was muttering. His ribs are sticking out, he has significantly less body fat, we were separated for maybe 5 hours, how is this possible?
Stress of torture, Green replied weakly, though Vio didn’t pay him any attention.
Wild’s dead, Blue repeated.
“Get them off,” Twilight’s helpless voice broke through Four’s haze and the colors’ voices grew distant.
Twilight was glaring at the shackles around Wild’s ankles and wrists. “I can’t get them off. Four, please.”
They got the shackles off (Four had patted Wild’s mangled hand, and said with a reassurance that trembled, “Don’t you worry, Wild, it won’t even hurt. I’m good at what I do.” With skillful swiftness, the metal snapped free), they cleaned him up (Legend and Warriors did so silently and tenderly, and if they both took a second to brush hair out of Wild’s face or to fiddle more than necessary over his clothes nobody said a thing), they laid his cloak— the one Sky was holding onto to return— over his head (Sky kissed the top of his head before covering him up. That seemed like the limit for the Chosen Hero as his carefully still expression cracked and he hid his face in his hand, swaying on his feet until Warriors and Hyrule swept in to help him sit down against a tree).
Wild could’ve been sleeping.
Twilight transformed and laid a heavy head on top of Wild’s chest, whimpers escaping him more often than not.
It was a nice day, Time had to admit.
In the rush of figuring out the portal, the fight in the windowless yiga base, the dungeon, Time hadn’t had the chance to notice it. Now, the crisp breeze blew through the emerald green trees, sunlight danced and dappled, he could hear a creek close by. Wild’s Hyrule was just like him. Bright, free, and unrestrained. Whenever any of them returned to their eras, they fit in like a glove, like they were the missing subject of a landscape painting. The land would rejoice at their return every time.
Now, the boy’s body lay uncharacteristically still among the thriving backdrop of his own land.
It was said when a fairy died, a flower would blossom or a tree would sprout. Time thought that would suit Wild very much, for his spirit to be the scurrying of a fox, the snuffling of a bear, the cool dirt under their feet, the sun that peeked through the leaves of a magnificent tree. But Time couldn’t find him in any of them. Couldn’t find him anywhere. Couldn’t rip his eyes away from how still, how silent, how wrong the body that had been Wild’s was.
A movement ripped his gaze away and onto Wind, who was swiftly heading to hyperventilation as he jerked around this way and that, still looking for something, growing more desperate. Time hurried over to him.
“Sailor,” he said sharply.
Wind snapped his eyes onto Time, big and brown and lost.
Time took a knee and placed a hand on his shoulder.
He seemed to deflate under Time’s hand, bottom lip quivering as he squeezed his eyes shut and clenched his fists open and closed by his sides.
“He didn’t say goodbye,” he wept. “I guess it’s good he can move on. It’s a good thing, really. Being able to move on right away isn’t something a lot of people like us can do, you know. I’m happy for him, of course I am…But—”
A few shallow breaths filled the silence as Wind quickly lost the battle against his tears. He sobbed, pushing the heel of his palms into his eyes.
The next sob had Time scooping the boy into his hold.
That was right. During the war, an older Tune had told Mask he could see ghosts. Mask hadn’t believed him or rather pretended not to. But right now— Time squeezed the boy tight—all he felt was heavy sadness that this was something else that added to Wind’s grief. Just another loss for their youngest to go through.
Everybody watched silently as Wind cried.
Time addressed the others once Wind had calmed down, still buried in his shoulder. “We should decide where we’re heading, we can’t stay here for much longer.” He didn’t like how easily they were allowed to leave the base. Were the yiga cutting their losses since Wild was already dead? They always were quick to run. But this unsettling feeling jittering around his chest told him differently, and it was further corroborated by how the others were just as uneasy. There was something they were missing.
Four’s voice said, “We should bring him to Hateno. Wild said Flora is usually there.”
All at once, the breath left Time, leaving a tired, tired old man.
Wild’s Zelda… What were they going to say to her? How could they do this to her?
A hand shook him out of his thoughts and he turned to see his big brother who was taking Wind from him. As Wind turned into Warriors to continue crying into his scarf, Warriors gripped Time’s shoulder, grounding him. “Mask, take some time. We have time.”
What’s the use of time now? Where was all this time when they needed it?
But he didn’t say any of this out loud, instead he followed Captain’s advice and finally went to join Wild and Twilight.
Twilight’s eyes flickered to him, another whine. Time ran a hand over his head comfortingly. Gathering his courage, he pulled down the cloak enough to see Wild’s face.
The blood was all gone, wiped clean by Warriors and Legend, leaving the pallor of pale skin and a good view of sunken cheeks and eyes. Wild was ever still in death. Time cupped his cheek.
He would never see this face crinkle up in mischief ever again.
“This couldn’t have been done in less than a day.” Four had also gotten closer to examine Wild over Time’s shoulder.
Legend sighed from where he was sitting next to Sky and Hyrule. “Smith, let it go.”
Four turned to glare at Legend with a frenzied look in his eyes. “It couldn’t.”
Before a fight could break out between them, Warriors intervened.
“I agree,” he said with the air of knowing something he didn’t want to reveal. “Stress of torture is one thing, but his body showed signs of starvation.”
“So what are you saying?” Hyrule whispered.
Warriors and Four stared at each other until a look of horror gradually overtook Four’s face. “No… the portal we took—!”
“It was the right place but the wrong time. It was less than a day for us but an unknowable amount of time for Wild.”
Warriors would’ve kept this theory to himself if he had it any other way, but this group was smart enough to eventually realize by themselves. He rationalized that it would be better to take the hits all at once, together.
It was almost cruel. Just another way they’ve failed.
“He was there long enough to starve,” Hyrule said, eyes glistening with outrage.
The estimated number floated to the surface of Warrior’s mind unbidden. Longer than that, the body yelled, refusing to be ignored. Fed just enough to stay alive longer than that.
“He was waiting for that long,” Wind’s despairing tone sharpened into anger, “just because the portal decided to spit us out in the wrong time?”
“Maybe we took too much time trying to figure out how to make it wide enough,” Legend said morosely.
“You and Hyrule were the only reason we were even able to get here. None of us are at fault, least of all you two.”
Legend didn’t respond, not eager to continue putting his work down if it meant dragging down Hyrule too no matter how much he blamed himself. Warriors knew invoking Hyrule’s name was backhanded, but he needed to do whatever possible to nip that self-blame in the bud.
There was a vibrating force that was emitting off of Hyrule as the boy wore a fierce expression, but just like his predecessor, he remained silent.
Warriors glanced back at the group huddled closest around Wild to see that other than one of Wolfie’s ears pointed towards them, Wolfie and Time both hadn’t moved despite this revelation. Sky had sunk deeper down where he was sitting, his face completely hidden by his trembling hands, the master sword held tight against him.
The only one not looking enraged was Legend who just looked sad, fiddling with his rings absentmindedly as he stared at Wild’s body.
Four’s eyes looked violet at this angle, a horrible twist of rage to his face that Warriors had never seen before. “What a sick joke,” he spat. “Must have had a good laugh, making sure the group of heroes can’t save one of their own. Ironic. Poetic, even.”
“Our tragedy is someone else’s comedy,” Legend said distantly.
Tears had once more welled up in Wind’s eyes. He aggressively tried to wipe them off his face. “Pathetic excuse for heroes we are. We have eight of us and couldn't even do our job right. What’s the use of us?”
Warriors wrapped an arm back around the boy’s shoulders and Wind promptly buried his face into his stomach. Thoughts to Time’s story about defeating Ganon to win an already lost kingdom only to have to go back in time to fix it, to Wild’s story about dying and coming back a hundred years later to try again, to Sky’s misplaced guilt around failing to prevent the curse Demise had placed on them all. Heroes never get a clean win, but he didn’t think it was the right time to point it out.
Instead, he squeezed Wind closer to him and said, “He didn’t deserve this.”

Addendum (September 23, 2024 5:03pm )- It was brought to my attention by a concerned friend inquiring if something had happened yesterday that this post can come off as complaining about a fandom issue of some sort. Because of how often "Don't be like x" (in particularly Futa) has been used in regards to ongoing Milgram fandom incidents.
It was not my intention to invoke those sort of alarming past experiences for anyone that may have come across this post. My intentions when writing this were to interrogate the prevalence of that phrasing when it came to Futa as a character while including the prisoner paired with him known for bullying as well.
To put it in a plain and jovial way- These are my feelings in regards to this topic in a meme format,

Since I have now been informed of how emotionally disruptive this phrasing can be given the things it's been associated with in the past at least within the tumblr Milgram community I will be putting it under a cut with one more addendum further down that uses the same phrasing.
Once again saying to not be like Mu.
It's easy for individuals to understand why they shouldn't be like Futa. In a lot of ways, not many people would see their actions as being similar to his even when they are. This is why I stress not to be like Mu either.
Because it seems to me that a lot of people are comfortable with being bullies as long as they convince themselves they were the victim first.
A trait that's present throughout both Futa and Mu's narratives. Even if not many people recognize how emotionally manipulative, insidious, and abusive this sort of behavior is socially.
Because just like with these two, some will convince themselves it's the other parties fault for doing something wrong first.
That the person who did something wrong should just,
"You apologize if you do something wrong, you learn that even before words, don't you?"
Q.09 Do you want to apologise to the person you killed?
Mu: I think the person who did something wrong first should apologise first.
These two are simply not as different as some fans like to tell themselves. They are both reactionary bullies. Just because one goes on offense (attacks) and the other defense (cries/deflects) doesn't make one any better than the other. That's why they both got into codependent relationships with another prisoner over the first trial intermission.
Both Amane and Haruka provide them with something. Giving Futa and Mu hope and help in a difficult situation. Along with something to do with themselves to prove their own worth. They also both took on a naturing and protective role in Amane and Haruka's lives. Making the other their main priorities as of the second trial.
23/07/05 (Mu’s Birthday)
Futa: Oi, you. Is he ok? He’s not even left his room lately.
Mu: You mean Haruka-kun? Hmm. Yeah, probably. I’ve been bringing all his meals to him so he should be fine. Isn’t that great of me?
Futa: Hah? Who the hell says that sort of thing about themself. ……ah, no, well, right now I understand a bit. When you’re feeling down, it’s nice to have someone who relies on you and accepts you. The rest of us can’t really understand you from where we’re standing. But well, if you’re Haruka’s “salvation” then I guess it really is great.
Mu: Salvation……? I don’t know what you mean. Futa-kun, you don’t sound like yourself. Did you hit your head or something? Oh, wait, you actually did, didn’t you. Ahaha. Ah, putting that aside though, did you know it’s my birthday today?
Q.02 What do you think of Haruka?
Futa: I can’t afford to be worrying about other people at the moment. Anyway, he’s not a little kid.
This is also why one of my first posts discussed them together. They were both even abandoned by their groups,
"Everyone else was having fun, weren't they? What about them?! Why is it just me?!"
Q.18 Do you regret anything?
Mu: I think maybe I should have chosen my friends a bit more carefully.
Q.11 Who do you want to see right now?
Mu: I miss my friends too. But most of all, Papa and Mama.

Yeah, don't be like either of them, actually.
This is not a healthy thing to strive for. The only difference between them is that Futa takes the orders, and Mu gives them. Aptly portrayed in the relationships they've formed over the course of Milgram.
Also, a bully is a bully regardless of if they cry about it. Women have been weaponizing crying for decades. Stop pretending like this is a brand new undiscovered form of manipulation it's not.
Addendum (September 23, 2024 5:03pm ) continued: Also it was not intent to specifically call to attention Mu's characters flaws or take any digs at people who relate to her. Saying things like don't be like x character can be inconsiderate towards individuals who relate to that character a lot especially if it's something done on a consistent enough basis.
These are once again my feelings on that in meme format.
