"A comedy would be nice, maybe something a bit festive as well to bring in the holiday. If there isn't anything like that playing however, we could always rent something. Or find it on one of our streaming services."
After all, the date didn't have to end when they got back home. It could always continue. The idea of being cuddled up together under a blanket with a movie was nice anyway. Maybe they could squeeze in a bit of mall going today too actually. The rink wasn't too far from it, right?
He had to remember not to let himself get too carried away just yet though. They hadn't even left yet and he was already planning for when they got home. Better to leave the ten steps ahead planning for dueling. He couldn't enjoy those pretty pink blushes of Yugi's with his mind occupied anyway.
He pulled on his own gloves and wrapped his scarf about his neck. Rather than take Yugi's hand again though, he opted to wrap his arm about his shoulders instead as he opened the door. Better to hold him close and also to share warmth.
Yugi nodded and a soft blush touched his cheeks when his knuckles were kissed. One of the good things about it being cold outside was that the chill air would turn his cheeks and nose pink anyway, to better hide his blushes that he seemed to constantly be doing ever since Atemu came back.
But he squeezed his hand and snuggled up against his side as they walked. "That's a good idea, I hope there's something funny playing. I think a comedy would be nice." He said. He wasn't in the mood for something too actiony or spooky at the moment. He just wanted to have a good time. Pulling on his gloves and his scarf he smiled at Atemu.

He responded by enfolding his arms around him and keeping him close. With the soul link now quiet, he wasn't sure if Yugi now understood what those words meant or not. However, the answer to that could wait as a tan hand slid down the shorter boy's back and he let loose a content sigh.
"Long day, aibou?"

Golden Gate by Talon Abraxas Silver Gate and Golden Gate
"The constellation Ophiuchus the "Serpent holder",the missing 13th zodiac sign sits 180 degrees accross Orion(Osiris). The Greeks removed this sign because it reprisents the resurrection of the Gods.
The are only two Gates/entry ways into Orion(Osiris/Asar).One being the intersection between Taurus and Gemini is known as the "silver gate" of heaven. The intersection between Scorpio and Sagittarius, were ophiuchus is located is known as the "Golden gate" of heaven. The galactic center lies visually from our solar system along a line that passes through the golden gate.
The constellation Ophiuchus, the missing 13th zodiac sign, sits in the direction towards the center of our galaxy. The ancients called it the 'Gate of the Gods'. Orion(Osiris) sits in the opposite of this direction, which would be considered the 'anti-galactic center' and the ancients called this direction, the 'Gate of man'.
The directions of Ophiuchus and Orion offer opposites,as they lie 180 degrees across from each other.Face one you face the galactic center, face the other you have your back to the galactic center.
Heru/Horus Hawk-Bird reprisents Scorpio in Eagle form, and Sets' sata(snake)ophiuchus the serpent bearer.
In the Greek tale,Ophiuchus tramples on scorpio and having recieved the elixir of life from the serpent, restores Orion(osiris)to life.
As Orion/Osiris "dies" (sets at sunrise) on the winter solstice, Scorpio does rise -- but with Ophiuchus on its back, rising heliacally(rising with the sun). And as Scorpio "dies" -- when Orion rises heliacally(rising with the sun) in the summer -- Ophiuchus also is setting, driving the Scorpion down into the Underworld beneath her.
At the time, Orion(Osiris) set at sunrise on the winter solstice, thereby symbolically entering the Underworld, to be reborn as he rises heliacally on the summer solstice.
Ophiuchus and Orion reprisent part of our 'cycle of life' that we all incarnate into as going from "earthly beings" through the 'gate of man'-"eternal beings' through the 'gate of Gods'.

There are a lot of bad takes out there about the current whereabouts of Sebastian Yarrick and I think it's probably worth a frank discussion about how his absence from the forthcoming Astra Militarum codex and some cheeky social media posts don't mean what you think they mean.
First appearing in the November, 1995 issue of White Dwarf, Commissar Yarrick isn't the oldest named character in the setting — he's predated by both Marneus Calgar and Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, for instance — but he's one of the longest continuously serving, appearing consistently from the 2nd edition incarnation of Codex: Imperial Guard, onward. Long after Captain Al'rahem and Commander Chenkov had been discontinued, Yarrick was headlining Imperial Guard releases, from Codex: Armageddon in 2000 to Apocalypse in 2007.
This had as much to do with the ossification of 40k in its modern form as anything else. As the '90s came to an end, so too did the neon gothic era of 40k (sometimes referred to as Games Workshop's "red" period, due to the widespread use of bright red details on 'Eavy Metal team paint jobs) and the setting, overall, became that much more self-serious. The obvious joke characters fell by the wayside and the ones that remained became grimmer and more dark.
Ultimately, this had the effect of lending an almost mythic provenance to the principle characters, such that contemporary players and casual fans cannot imagine a codex without them. It's understandable, starting with 3rd edition and the ouslite aquila era of 40k, the setting became static, the clock stopped just before the stroke of midnight at the end of 999.M41; and there it remained until the setting lurched forward with Gathering Storm's do-over of Eye of Terror, seventeen years later.
And that was already more than five years ago, longer than Yarrick's original model lasted before the post-Armageddon glam-up we've had for the last two decades. In the time since Cadia fell, we've seen updates of '90s characters across multiple ranges - Abaddon the Despoiler, Fabius Bile, Mephiston, Ragnar Blackmane, Jain Zar and Ghazghkull, himself, to name a few.
There is clearly a recognition on the part of the design studio that nostalgia sells, else we would not be getting updates to Attilan Rough Riders, and the entire Horus Heresy range has become a love letter to RTB-01. I'm incredulous that among this flood of retro kitsch, the studio would "kill off" one of the characters most closely identified with one of its longest running product ranges.
Yesterday's "is he or isn't he" article is emphatically not Games Workshop walking back Yarrick's death because they're shamefaced by the negative reaction — it's a tacit admission that he's not in the Codex because his new model will be introduced in a subsequent campaign supplement or battle box, and everyone should just relax with the outrage.
It's likely far enough off that they're concerned about losing sales to people that buy the old model to start new armies, but not so far down the line that they felt the need to include rules for everyone that already had it.
Gut read, Yarrick will be back within a year, eighteen months at the outside, and that's largely down to the wild fluctuations in scheduling GW's experienced over the past few years. Anyone that thinks otherwise — or, worse, sees a new Yarrick and thinks that means GW is backpedaling — clearly doesn't realize that the production timeline on any Games Workshop product is five years from conception to execution.

👫Bring it!
01: Timeline: Ancient Egypt
First Impression VS First Meeting. Although it may be hard to believe, once upon a time, Mana had been intimidated by his title. After all, as the Prince of Egypt, he was meant to become the living incarnation of Horus and thus, was meant to be revered upon. Even as a young child, she understood the importance of diplomacy and while she often seen him around the palace, she could not find the courage to actually approach him. Of course, everything changes when the naive Mana misdiagnosed Mahad and believed he had been contracted a plague. Desperate to see her teacher well again, she enlist the prince’s help and together they gathered up the necessary ingredients in the palace. Although her spell was a complete and utter failure, that day pretty much marks the moment she saw the Prince as an actual person then a living god; ( not to mention she realized that they made one great team ). Granted, Mahad probably found himself waking up to something much more powerful then a simple migraine. #NoBreakForMahad
02: Timeline: Ancient Egypt
Test Dummy. Contrary to popular belief, Mana does take her magic training very seriously. When she isn’t conducting her infamous pranks, and missing class to hang out with the Prince, she does a pretty good job with self- training when Mahad is away. And that is because, she is usually allowed to study with the Prince. Of course, when it comes to the both of them: havoc completely ensures. One time she accidentally used a shrinking spell on him and to make it up to him, she built him a tiny house and promised to find him a land completely populated with small creatures like him. Of course, to her relief, such idea was short live and the Prince was able to return to his full height before anyone had found out about this incident. Needless to say, she never once used any spells on him again. #PrinceOfTheSmallPeople
03: Timeline: Modern/ Afterlife?
Some things never change. Once upon a time, Mana gave him a part of her ba in order to save him from a battle against Zorc and the King of Thieves. That piece of her soul continues to exist within his own, and hence the Black Magician Girl had always recognized him as her childhood friend. Of course, due to his lack of memories, and probable scolding from her Old Teacher, she is unable to act upon her childish wish to greet him. One time she got so fed up with waiting around, that the spirit that had once been Mana, attempted to prank him within the confines of his own pendent. That prank quickly died, not only because she had been found out by the Black Magician, but because she actually got a headache from wondering around the stupid puzzle. Seeking penance for this failed attempt, she tries to prank him again in the afterlife—- he won, by using that same trick on her. #StopCheatingBro
04: Timeline: Reincarnation
What’s in a name. Like her previous incarnations, the reincarnated Mana of the twenty first century, cannot bring herself to actually call him by his first name. Using the excuse of Atem being a strange and foreign name ( like she can talk ), she had to find various nicknames to refer to him. From Spikey, Purple, and Temmy, her inability to properly find him an appropriate nickname eventually leads him into taking pity on her and suggesting his old title: Pharaoh. It didn’t catch on and he had to settle with ‘Hey You’, instead. Even now, she still hasn’t found a perfect nickname for him. #ItBeatsGuyOnTVokay

He's just going to climb onto Atemu's lap, wrapped in a blanket and curl against his chest.
A soft chuckle was the response as he enfolded his arms around his partner. "Stealing up my warmth there, Yugi?" he snickered.

A soft clearing of his throat and the Pharaoh was back under control again. No risk of laughing and making his annoyed friend even more angry. Though he couldn't keep the amused smirk from his lips when one of her swatting hands landed against his stomach.
It didn't hurt and it didn't bother him. Even though the laws of their nation strictly forbade contact with him. Not to mention looking him in the eye or speaking his name.. He was glad Mana at least still only saw him as Atemu and not a God on Earth.
So when he smiled at her, it was always genuine. And with no small degree of appreciation for how she viewed him.
"Completely original..?" he echoed, tilting his head curiously. "What is it you are trying to do? Is the way you create dust cyclones not enough of an original spell?"
She swatted in his general direction, gritting her teeth. “Go on, laugh it up, I know you want to.”
Really, it was less about his reaction and more that she was simply embarrassed that she’d failed. She’d been so sure it would work, and now… ugh. Back to the formula.
“Master says that if I can create a spell that hasn’t been done, I can move forward with my training, but… I don’t know what it is that’s going wrong. It’s not like I can access my Ka as a focus, so what am I supposed to do except try until I get it right? I cant see any problems in the theory…”

01: Timeline: Ancient Egypt
Water and Oil. Although, for the most part, they had grown to accept each other’s presence inside the palace walls, both their distinctive and contrasting personality often leads them to bump heads. Whether or not, it is because of a comment made against her Master, or just because he was wearing that annoyingly arrogant look on his face, Mana finds herself unable to like the guy. In fact, once upon a time, she accidentally used her magic and make his has catch on fire. He was far from thrilled, and as retribution he personally oversaw her punishment. #YouMissedASpot
02: Timeline: Ancient Egypt
War Changes People. While the both of them had a... difficult start, it will be after his ascension as Pharaoh and their strong desire to rebuild Egypt, that will bring these two to finally reconcile. By devoting themselves to the cause, Mana became a High Priestess within his inner circle, and by extension remained devoted to him, the new living incarnation of Horus and the former Pharaoh’s chosen successor. Although they remain completely professional, sometimes the two of the them would reminisce back to the past and more specifically on their childish antagonistic days. They get along relativity better and sometimes even share a laugh every now and then. #ItWasOneSmallFireGetOverIt
03: Timeline: Modern
Recognition. The First time the Black Magician Girl was summoned on the field against him, she was genuinely pleased to see his spirit reborn again. After all, he was equally her pharaoh as much as his predecessor had been for her. Although she would have preferred to see a much kinder version of him, she supposed beggars can’t be choosers and hence found joy over the aspect of the Pharaoh kicking his butt once again. #YourObsessionwithBlueEyesWasCuteBeforeButNowIt’sPlainCreepy.
04. Timeline: Modern
Someday. Despite the obvious unlikelihood, the Black Magician Girl would have loved for another chance to talk to him again. Even if his personality was much more intimidating then before, or the fact that she was an iconic monster in his rival’s deck and hence would have no interest in speaking with her, he was still someone she associated with a positive esteem. Of course, even if she never gets the chance too, she will be more then satisfied with watching something of his burn. #WearAHatSoICanBurnIt

He expected that response. Jou and Honda along with him seemed to have bottomless pits for stomachs. Rarely did they really care what it was they were eating as long as it was edible. Though that too was debatable depending on how hungry they were. He remembered a time in Duelist Kingdom when the blond was ready to eat a poisonous mushroom in fact.
Though true enough, the American inspired food seemed to be his favorite. Perhaps because of all the extra flavor not found in most of the food the Pharaoh himself had tried from here. Not that Kemet was all that keen on extra spice and all that at the time. He could still remember the first burger he'd had and the explosion of flavor he hadn't been expecting. Until then he'd thought a foodgasm was just a made up term that didn't really mean much. He was proven wrong.
"Well let's see.. We have that new chicken place that recently opened or the usual burgers," he offered. "And I live close by. I believe you still have some clothes there from where you stayed over last time if you want to stop there first."
He had a point after all. He was likely to spook the staff if he walked in looking like he currently did. Besides, a hot shower may make him feel better too and he also had a first aid kit there. Something Yugi had insisted he have, now he was glad for his partner's foresight.
He'd have been grateful for Jou's as well had he known the full reason for him intervening when he had. He didn't want to do anything that would make his partner upset with him again. However, he wasn't above still scaring or hurting those after his friends. Hurting a little mind you.. Probably enough to traumatize, but not end lives..
..As long as he didn't get too mad.. Also dependent on the harm others that was meant to be inflicted on his friends or aibou.
The blonde had his reasons to act swiftly. His friends were in danger but he knew the other could defend himself but that would have resulted in something much more horrible for the thugs that picked the fight. At least Jou's beating was a mercy even if they would never realize it. Jonouchi smiled with his arms behind his head. His nose finally stopped bleeding.
"You know me. I'm always happy with American food." he laughed. "But I'll eat anythin'. I just need to stop at a restroom to clean up or the staff might get spooked, you know? Who wants a customer covered in dirt and blood, right?"
The man lowered his arms and stretched a bit. "You would think I would grow out of this fightin' shit but in my younga' days I made some enemies I guess." He was fighting hard to stay out of that life, slowly building a career in dueling for himself.
"I guess it takes time though."

Oh how he loved the sound of his partner's soft laughter. Just the sound of that alone could keep him warm. Besides, if Yugi was sure that the sweater and hoodie were enough, he wouldn't insist any further. He didn't want his partner getting sick from the cold exposure, but Yugi knew his limits better than even Atemu would.
Besides, they had a date to get started. One of many more to come, he hoped. And aibou was right, the cider would go a long way in warming them. That was actually one of the reasons he'd added it to the plans. That and the movies, not too much time spent in the cold and warming back up in clever ways.
"We can probably look up what's playing in theatres once we get our cider," he suggested as he led the way out of the apartment. He brought the hand in his up to his lips to place a kiss to his knuckles before leading the way toward the door. "I already have our gloves and scarves ready for us at the entryway."
"I got a thick longsleeve under this and I'll grab my scarf and gloves too," he said. Though he was still chuckling at the notion of Atemu falling on the ice. The man had always been so graceful it seemed in just about anything he did. He did grab his scarf and wrap it around his neck and put his gloves in his pocket for later.
"And the hot cider will keep me arm too." He didn't want Atemu worrying.

"I'm sure I'll be falling on the ice too at first," he replied with a chuckle.
Atemu was already bundled up in a long sleeve shirt, a sweater over it, a hoodie and a winter coat over that. He had to really with being so unused to the cold weather. The usual leather boots were traded out for the boots more suited for the cold as well. So when Yugi came out in only a hoodie for cold protection he gave him a worried frown.
"Will that be warm enough for you, aibou?" he asked, though he still wrapped his fingers around the hand in his.
He smiled at the kiss before going to change and came back, snuggled up in one of his hoodies. "Oh spiced cider does sound really good," he said, perking up. He couldn't help blushing softly at the plan, it sounded like an absolutely lovely evening. "If we go ice skating, you can't laugh if I fall," he said with a chuckle, getting his shoes on before taking Atemu's hand.

Before Yugi got up, Atemu kissed his cheek in response to the warm nuzzling. He understood where his partner was coming from, being originally from Kemet after all, he still wasn't used to the harsh winters of Japan. And if he wasn't, how bad must it be for a boy that had lived his whole life here to not want to even get out of bed?
"I was thinking a walk in the park first, maybe some coffee, cocoa, or spiced cider from the vendors there? A movie, lunch, ice rink and then stay for the Christmas light up festival they're throwing?"
"That's a weakness of us both I suppose," he hummed and nuzzled him before getting up to go change into the warm, waiting clothes. "Did you have something in mind, then?"

"You know I can't resist a challenge from you, Yugi." And all is fair in love and war as the saying goes. He knew his partner's "weaknesses". Besides, who wouldn't love to be given warm from the dryer clothes on a cold day like today? Any excuse and chance to spoil his hikari was always one he'd take.
"....That's playing dirty." But he sighed and smiled, nodding. "But yeah, that sounds like a good reason." Chuckling, he wiggled himself out of his blankets and kissed Atemu's cheek.
