Andrew had Thanksgiving weekend back in the house their adoptive parents had left behind in Columbia and a call with Betsy to work through his anger about Neil's identity as Alex. He's furious that Alex left but in retrospect considering what he knows about Neil, it makes sense.

A lot about Andrew's life with and after Alex makes sense. He calls his adoptive mother and after some direct questions and a period where she obviously needed to speak with someone toget permission he got the confirmation he had wanted.

They were working for the Moriyamas, paying back a debt by taking in and raising who they were told to.
