uhhhh controversial opinion about su under cut

ill be honest with you. i dont like how tumblr bullied lauren zuke to the point of her deleting her twitter and leaving the show. even if she didnt leave solely because of the drama, its very likely that it influenced her decision. its fucking ridiculous that she voiced an opinion about the show which she reminded people regularly was her opinion and didnt reflect her employer (rebecca sugar) and people still gave her shit for the silliest things to the point of making her leave her job. its fucking embarrassing to be part of a community that has this kind of mob mentality

im not defending her or putting her on a pedestal because i so happen to share some of her views, i.e. the whole l.apid.o.t situation - this accounts for every scenario where somebody has been literally bullied off a show or website because tumblr didnt like what they had to say. i understand if it’s about something bad like pedophilia etc but something as small as a harmless, non-controversial personal opinion that doesn’t actually harm anyone shouldn’t be treated as a fucking death wish if you don’t agree with it

i get rly stressed out when i see pics of like. dogs or cats roaming around with collars that appear to not have any identification other than “hi im catte im not lost just exploring” bc outdoor cats and dogs are such Bad Bad Ideas not only for the pet themselves (they could get hurt or attacked by other animals, hit by a car, etc) (yes even if your pet is “”street smart”” and youve had other “successful” outdoor pets before like..... why take the risk at all??)  and the local wildlife (cats are honestly natures perfect killing machines) and like??? 

what if your pet is Legitimately lost??? or gets hurt??? how is someone gonna contact you??? why even RISK the fear of your pup not ever coming home again? 

if you want your pet to Have Adventures take them on a walk (yes, even cats!! if theyre willing ofc) or if theyre bored inside give them more enrichment stuff like toys or cat towers or etc!!!!! go to a dog park or the beach or smth!! laser pointers exist!! teach them tricks!! i spent literally 10 seconds typing in cat/dog enrichment in youtube and i got Numerous Results

Literally Anything but letting yr friend roam around unsupervised..... please.......

ok so. a few days ago some MA student form english wrote a letter and made a petition to our department about a racist (and other evils) lecturer who’s been harassing students since always and to just generally acknowledge what’s been going on and how people feel and what people experience in the past few weeks. and they sent a letter to us before this petition but also after and decided to have this zoom meeting for whoever wants to just talk about how they feel and what been going on to them the past 2 weeks

so we had it today a few hours ago and it was a very emotional experience like truly almost everyone who talked cried and i almost teared up once from some mundane evil one girl mentioned but everyone really lost it at something horrific another girl shared and honestly it was such an incredible experience tbh to be in a department in a uni in isr*el and have an hour and a half where only p*lestinian students share what they feel and what they thing and like i know what my friends have been going thru been hearing other random people just made everyone really emotional idk. like besides the lecturers there were like... 6 or 7 j*wish students out of everyone which is like. maybe sad but also j*ws are like a minority in out department like in my year maybe 11 ppl out of 70 students anyhow it was a very... idk i dont wanna dismiss the horrifying aspect of it by saying “incredible” but it was in some way incredible that this platform was even like i didn’t expect it from this hellhole at all like people have been saying they’re harassed in their other classes. idk it’s just something you wouldnt expect. i just ended a call with my friend and i told her this and she agrees like everyone thinks it was a good idea
