….ok so ( @forgettable-au go read it. its so good.)
this is one of those rare times where not even visuals can explain exactly the feelings because holy shit
I WAS RIGHT.
I AM MATPAT!!!!!!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT I WAS SO RIGHT ABOUT SO MUCH SHIT AND HOLY SHIT???????????
ok ok ok ok ok
gonna attempt to break this down in a comprehensible way that also isnt as long as the bible (probably will be but, stick with me here.)
Saw this and FIRST OF ALL, LOVE THE ART, LOVE HIS MANNERISMS IN GENERAL, HES SO AWESOME, I LOVE HIM
And also “HA I KNEW IT!!! THIS IS GONNA BE A LOT ABOUT THE TAPE!” pretty obvious but like- let me have my victory
second of all AAAAAA! AAAAAAA! ECHO FLOWER?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ON HIS DESK!!!!! WHYYY???? HES SO SILLYY???? 😭😭😭
He definitely comes across to me as the kind of guy who would talk to himself a lot cause he…doesnt…really….talktoanyonelse- BUT YAY! CONFIRMED!
also “or C……” STOP STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR GODAMN SENTENCES *shaking wingdings*
FINISH THE THOUGHT
Biggest part here that had me stunned was…
I was right. about the tape….
“Establish connection” with T H E P L A Y E R
“Beyond the surface” is O U R W O R L D.
“HEAVEN”
I WAS RIGHT RRAAAAHHHH
(also dude not, this is not heaven dawg, Turn back you don’t wanna be here😭)
BUT THEN THE SILLIES!! AWWWWW
DUDE. SANS. YOUR BRO IS GOING THROUGH SOME SHIT YOU HAVE NO IDEA 😭😭 hes probably telling a stupid joke about a bar
and this is the last time we ever see them being happy ever again 😌
dawg you have no fucking clue
AND I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, I WILL BE RECEIVING MY REWARD,
also just crying that Wingdings and Alphys call each other “Dr” and not just by their names because wingdings doesn’t really see Alphys as anything more than a work colleague so Alphys in turn doesnt feel like getting too comfortable ‘round him
finale:
OPEN MOUTH!🫵OPEN MOUTH!🫵
PAPYRUS
I MISSED YOU YOU STUPID(smart) GOOFBALL I LOVE YOU SO MUCH😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
AAUUUUGGHHHH OH MY GOD THIS WAS JUST FEEDING MY EGO AND ME GAPING AT THE SCREEN THE WHOLE TIME 😭😭😭 I WAS RIGHT!!! IT WAS ABOUT THE TAPE, THE TAPE WAS GASTER, THE THING WAS SET UP BY GASTER(maybe), AND FLOWEY AND PAPYRUS ARE GONNA GO INTO THE UNDERGROUND LIKE HANDPLATES GOING INTO THE LAB TO JOG THEIR MEMORIES STYLE!!!!
Hope it doesnt end up how that did though…
oh also new Discord pfp just dropped
BUT JUST AAAAUUUGHHHHHH GOD
I dont have any theories cause this was all just confirmation like “mhm, yep, and yep :3”
all I have are feelings on WINGDINGSSSSSSSSSS, CAUSE…. GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH 😭😭😭
THIS MAN.
Right now, hes filled with so much joy and whimsy …..and thats just all gonna go down the drain… :(
These moments/lines are probably my favorite just because… THEY FILL ME WITH JOY!!! HES SUCH A NERD. HES FILLED WITH JOY. AND WHIMSY!!!!! HES HAVING FUN
*GASP* ROLL CREDITS!!!!!!!!
My favorite part of Forgettable is when Wingdings forgets and Sans forgets and Alphys forgets and…. and…… uhm…… what- uhhhhh what were the other characters names? uhm… uhhhhh…. uh… Forget….uhm…
#forgettable au#forgettable au theory#forgettable au (100% correct)#forgettable au (100% correct) (confirmed)#forgetting#forget#forgot#forgor💀

in all the 'trauma siblings' stuff with Clover & Kanako, I keep coming back to thinking about how Flowey engages with this
Like, here's someone who went through an at least similar ordeal of getting a human soul mixed into a monster body, leading to a lethal, traumatic injury, into a rebirth into a new body whose physical and emotional state are all way the fuck out of wack
Except Flowey was shaped a lot by having to go through the traumatic aftermath alone, and lives in the weird space of having experienced unknown years of resets but also is still mentally kind of a child
So I have to think that Flowey sees these kids and that little Asriel part of him is screaming "don't let them wind up like us", but being Flowey he also has no idea how to really comfort anyone.
Leading to sweet moments like Clover collapsing somewhere and before anyone else in their family can even pick up on something being wrong, there's already vines springing up to catch them, because of course Flower would know how to spot weakness in people after years of doing that, but now there's a productive positive use for that instinct and it's nice
But also moments like "Gee how do I cheer up Kanako about that appointment with Alphys... I know! We'll torment her! What a wonderful idea!" Because hey, a little bit of sadism always cheered him up when he was suffering
And he'd probably settle toward a crass & hyperbolic style of comforting people with hit-or-miss moments, like a sort of "Wow clover you ate SHIT just now", trying to get them laughing at the misfortune instead of crying, but obviously sometimes It's Not The Time For That or he reverts a bit back to thinking something really fucked up like "Man, that person was really rude just now, we should kill them and everyone they love" and the kids look back at Flowey like "dude what the fuck"
And everybody's different ways of processing trauma are constantly both helping and clashing with each other as these kids help each other figure this shit out because as much as the adults want to help nobody but these 3 can really come close to understanding how it feels
this has been a big ramble for an ask and not really an ask but I wanted you to have this
THIS IS SOOOO GOOD BECAUSE YOURE 100% RIGHT
flowey struggles with knowing the concept of empathy and compassion but not really. KNOWING it. i imagine he can at least remember how it feels being asriel and during the final boss but. its easy to know what it is and harder to put it into practice when you dont actually feel it
i think youre right in that he would try his best to help but not really know HOW. like it takes him a bit to realize that oh, i can see the weaknesses in people, whatdo i do with this information now that i cant use it to exploit them? what can i do to help instead of harm? what is objectively the GOOD thing to do with this information?
hes still an asshole and a bitch but he cares. hes learning to anyways. even if he missteps a lot the people around him are forgiving and willing to help him on the right path and correct him. i love…. flowey :[
#asked and answered#monster clover au#mcau lore#i love character studies and analysis. i love them so much#im not very good at writing them but read this was absolutely a joy#ohhgghh flowey kanako clover frisk friendship is literally everything to me#flowey kanako and clover support circle where they talk about trauma#flowey and kanako talking about isolation and the lab#AUAUGHUHH

Yknow, despite how it is impossible by all Ingame options, I wonder how a neutral route with *ONLY* Sans (and Asgore ig) killed would look? Would he count enough as a boss monster (NOT a Boss Monster) to push it from a Queen Toriel ending to an Empress Undyne ending? How would Alphys react (She lost one of her closest friends, but she still has MTT and Undyne around.)? How would Papyrus react (Would he go full angst mode and try close away his heart? Would he become even more of a people pleaser, trying to make sure he doesn't repeat whatever mistake he made with you again? Would he go into denial mode, trying to find Flowey to set things right with him either finding him or not based on what Frisk choses after the FloweyX fight? So many choises), especially with how he seems to Know Something he doesn't let on. I'd imagine that (provided it's a Queen Toriel Ending) Undyne wouldn't be thar affected, sad that Papyrus lost a brother rather than sad that Sans died (she never is close with Sans. She doesn't hate him, but she doesn't know him as more than "Papyrus weird brother" and "My sentry that works the ABSOLUTE bare minimum needed"). I don't think mettaton would appear or be affected, leaving the call pretty limited. So we have Papyrus and Maybe Undyne, with Papyrus probably being... kinda miffed that everything is going along the same, as if Everything hasn't changed. Bonus points if it's Post Dates, leaving a pretty aimless Undyne moving into Sans room, trying to fill a void that she never can. It isn't some threat she can suplex or teach to cook, it's the world being unfair.
(This also would give a pretty Unique Undyne state, being halfway between her "I don't like that you had to kill Asgore, but it's what you had to do" mindset and her more common "You betrayed me in such a soul crushing way it'll affect how I love forever" mindset in most Neutral Endings. I can imagine her actually trying to rationalise it, because the human only killed Asgore (sucks but she Gets It), and... Sans. The easiest enemy, one too weak to make it into the guard, and almost too weak to be a Sentry (Sans would have no reason to reveal Blasters, and his magic would barely scratch the TRUE HERO of the Underground when Karma is factored in. All she would see is surprisingly complex patterns that don't deal even a tenth of her hp). So surely, they had a reason, right? Why else would they do it?)
Forgive any bad writing it's literally 2 AM rn where I am
can't not confess I've thought about it too, but it IS really hard to extend as a concept because there's just... really no way for sans to die outside of the NM run. and I don't mean logistically, i mean character-wise he is so defined by his survival. by his Being There as everything falls apart. the final girl last man standing in the story. so the whole concept immediately falls apart.
undyne wouldn't personally grieve him, seeing as they didn't really know each other, but she WOULD still feel his death on her conscience as she does with every other monster killed in neutral runs. plus, there's her friendship with papyrus to emotionally aggravate things.
papyrus would definitely go into denial. he would be annoyed about him vanishing all of a sudden, then it'd turn to worry, then as his worries become more and more plausible, he'd shut out all rational thought about the subject and pretend everything is alright. i like the idea of him reaching out to flowey, but he'd try to explain his plan while also comtradicting himself all the time in order to never say outloud "sans is dead. we need to fix this"
betrayed undyne... yeah this is where it falls apart again, since you'd have to reason why sans would die (or even instigate a fight at all) in the final corridor during what has so far been a flawless pacifist run.
buuut pushing past the visceral resistance to the concept. i can easily see a scene where the betrayal pushes her to lose it and seek revenge like it does in normal neutral runs, and her looking to papyrus for training help/human destroying plans. and just... meeting a Wall of denial. that would be a harrowing talk. something people don't mention enough is that papyrus sees himself as sans' caretaker as much if not even more than sans does towards him. a world where sans is dead is a world where he failed his brother. it would devastate him. so he clings to anything not to think about it/delude himself. and here comes undyne ready to shatter that fragile hope. it would be a horrible moment between them
but yeah. everything aside, sans would straight up just not die lol.

In which it's Peter's birthday, and the Marauder's throw a party.
'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. YOU LOOK LIKE A RODENT AND YOU SMELL LIKE ONE TOO!'
James and Sirius finish their piercing rendition of happy birthday with a dramatic flourish, striking a pose from where they are stood on top of the drinks table.
There is a raucous round of applause from their usual crowd of sycophants, and even Peter looks rather pleased despite the insult.
'What did you think,' asks Sirius, coming to sling an arm around Remus’ shoulder, 'We wrote it ourselves.'
James approaches alongside him, his party hat hanging off the side of his head.
'Don't give up your day job, Black,' says Mary, holding a venomous looking glass of liquor in a well manicured hand.
'Ah well, you see MacDonald, I am unfathomably rich and have no need for a day job.'
'Well you were,' says James, 'But then you got disinherited.'
'Oh yes, of course. Silly me. Thank goodness for good old Uncle Alphy, eh?'
'Where's Pete gone, we need to give him his present?' Asks Remus, buckling slightly under the heavy weight of a drunken Sirius.
'Gone,' the boy draped across his shoulders says, wiggling his fingers and waving out into the distance, 'gone and left us for cake and womanly kisses.'
'You sound jealous, Black,' says Mary.
'Of the cake maybe, but I have no need of womanly kisses.'
'Been getting enough elsewhere, have we?' Marlene teases, shooting a pointed look at Remus who has suddenly become very interested in the bottom of his bottle.
'Oh look, my drinks empty,' he says, attempting and failing to unlace himself from Sirius.
'No, you can't abandon us too!' complains the other boy, grabbing hold of Remus’ arm.
'I'm not abandoning you, I'm getting a refill.'
'That's what they all say, then they're off in some corner with a long-haired temptress. Look!' Sirius points at where Lily and James have snuck away, standing awfully close to each other by the fireplace and laughing.
'There, there,' Remus says, patting Sirius' hand where it's wrapped around his forearm, 'You're the only long-haired temptress I'm interested in.'
'Well in that case,' Sirius says, eyes darkening mischievously, 'Shall we sneak away and find our own dark corner?'
'Tempting, but maybe we shouldn't leave the party we're hosting one hour in.'
'You ruin my fun you know, Moony?'
'I thought I was your fun?'
'You can be both, you're a very complex person like that.'
'I'm going to assume that's a complement. Oh look, here comes Pete.'
The birthday boy was indeed making his way over to the group, a satisfied and slightly smug smile plastered across his face. He, too, is wearing a party hat and also a lot of red lipstick across his lips and cheeks.
'Bloody hell, Wormy, who's attacked you?' Sirius asks with a laugh.
'Dianna Jones, that's who I saw you huddled away with under the stairs isn't it?' Mary says.
'Oh she's in our Care of Magical Creatures lesson, she's really nice!' Marlene answers encouragingly.
Remus thinks nice is probably an overstatement, but not wanting to burst Peter's bubble he smiles and agrees.
'Nice one, Pete.'
'Thanks. We're going to Hogsmede together next weekend,' he says and then, apparently unable to stop himself, he adds, 'She asked me!'
They all make noises of approval and Pete puffs up his chest proudly. He is rosy cheeked from drink and grinning madly.
'Oh Pete, we've got your present!' Lily says, finally rejoining the group with a very satisfied looking James.
'What have you two be-' Remus stops Sirius with a hand over his mouth.
'I'll just grab it,' Marlene says, hurrying away.
Sirius licks Remus' hand with an extremely wet tongue.
'Eugh!' The werewolf wipes his hand down the length of Sirius' arm to dry it off. 'You're disgusting.'
'You love it.'
There's a second where Remus thinks Sirius is going to say 'you love me' and his heart jumps nervously because, yes he does, but he hasn't got round to telling Sirius that yet and he doesn't want it saying in front of his friends in the middle of a very busy Gryffindor common room. Sirius, too, seems to sense danger in his choice of words and his face flushes. They both look away from each other, the rest of the group seemingly unaware of their sudden awkwardness.
Marlene thankfully chooses that moment to reappear with Pete's elaborately wrapped birthday present. He tears off the paper like a child on Christmas morning and cries out in pleasure when he sees the brand new wizard chess set inside.
'Oh wow, thanks guys! Mine was so battered.'
'We know,' said Mary, 'This one has a self mending charm.'
'Ah it's great, thanks so much!'
The rest of the party goes on, and the crowd starts the thin as students stagger back to their dormitories. Eventually it is just their small group that's left, spilled out over cushions and around the fireplace.
James has got his arm around Lily, who's laughing at a story Mary and Marlene are telling. Pete is half asleep, mouth drooping open where he leans back against the armchair. Sirius is sat against Remus' side, fingers tracing patterns on the back of his hand as they talk.
It's in moments like this, Remus thinks, he is most happy. When the moon is a distant memory, a barely visible cresent hidden behind cloud cover. He struggles to remember the loneliness of his early childhood. How good life can be, he thinks, and hopes for many more nights like this one.

I am back once again after having both read all ur answers to my Asks. Thank u so much for loving them and some of the ideas I gave for ur HH AU. And now, having also finally finished Ep3 and Ep4 of Dead Ringer. And OMG, they were so good. I think Ep3 and Ep4 are my favorite episodes now; even though all the episodes are great.
I adore how u write everyone, but the way u write Sans (both Dust/Murder Sans and the other Sans) and Paps (both Phantom and the other Paps). As well as Chara and Frisk are esp. great and a real highlight. I have a feeling they are going to be great in Bonnytale and ur Hazbin Hotel AU, considering how u do them in Dead Ringer, and what I have seen of those AUs. Alphys is great too.
And the bits we got with Mettaton, Napsta, and Mad Mew Mew were both funny and interesting (no wonder Mettaton looked scared, he was able to tell Dust wasn't their Sans. Find it so interesting and cool how the ghost monsters can tell he isn't their Sans).
Haven't seen that much of Asgore and Toriel, but they seem sweet, and I love how they look (I really love how u give them rectangle goat eye pupils). Oh, and Flowey in Ep4 in the flashbacks was awesome! Probably one of my favorite Floweys now. Loved Flowey's dynamic with Sans and Paps too.
I now understand even more why both Sanses should be on an FBI watchlist now. I will say more about this in a reblog or something that I am planning on doing talking about Dead Ringer, because I don't want to bombard ur Asks so much and stuff.
(Edit: This has gotten longer than expected. And I am going to have to do separate Asks anyways again. Lol. I do still plan to probably say even more in reblogs, comments, or whatever though).
But I will say this; God, do I love when Sans more moral grayness and/or dark sides and stuff are explored, and do that VERY well. They are both so twisted, to a point, that I don't even know which Sans is more twisted (will say more about this in my reblog or whatever, hopefully). They are both so supremely screwed up.
(I am pretty damn sure the flashbacks - which btw in one of those flashbacks, one of the later ones, the fricken art that focused on Sans and his blue eye and the leaves or something in the BG when he was talking about Frisk and their utter hatred for them and other disturbing stuff and then flashing over to a more of a Dust Sans, looking Sans in Judgement Hall all in red was freaking gorgeous, terrifying, and haunting. Man, Sans' blue eye, can be just as terrifying and cold, if not, even more so sometimes, as Dust's more red ones. I wonder how Sans' yellow eye could look in ur style -
(We see in Ep4 is the Sans, Dust is trying to replace, not Dust, and then there is the stuff that gets revealed when Phantom conjures up mimics of both their brothers and stuff. Frisk not wanting to say stuff about their Sans to Dust Sans, when he was questioning them, and the stuff at the very end, after Chara calls him. What he says in the blue text against the black BG. And/or etc. And Dust being twisted is very self-explanatory, I think.
(If I am right about this, that makes that really cool and pretty art that showed the title of the episode, that showed two 2 different Sanses, and I think a scarf, but dead Paps, and alive Paps, even better than it already was).
I am happy both Paps do understand that their brothers (Sans) do love them both very much, in their own, Sans and/or twisted ways, at least.
The two Paps's bonding about their Sanses both being miserable cowards, that don't tell them anything, and push them away, and won't show their pain and suffering, and won't let people in/help them, and how their Sanses do both love them very much, was somehow sad, heartwarming, funny, and messed up all at once.
Ep3 and 4 were very funny at times too; while also being very dark at times. Sometimes they were both funny and dark. Esp. stuff with Sans (both Sanses), Paps (both Paps's), Chara, and Frisk. Flowey too. Though, it makes sense to me, they could have dark humor and/or things could be both funny and dark, considering how these characters are. It is fitting.
Oh, Alphys was also quite funny in the episodes. And Metta got a chuckle or 2 from me. 1/?.
hai again >:3
hehe i love the character analysis u have of them here (AND HAPPY U POINTED OUT THAT THE GHOST MONSTERS ARE ABLE TO SENSE IT HELL YEAH)
i find exploring the characters, dark sides to be fun mwehehe, especially when it come to portraying them correctly. usually people will get too focused on one aspect (dark/comedy side of their personality) and dismiss the other. I want to be able to capture that perfect balance of unsettledness and fun sides of all the characters, especially the brothers <3
Deadringer is a big focus on the colors purple, red, and yellow, so i might not show Sans with his yellow eye despite him doing it a lot in canon, though his yellow eye would be in bonnytale 100%, underhell maybe
hehe, i’m glad you liked this ep! i don’t mind the asks they make me giddy >:)

Game!Tale
Hey, so... I saw a while ago about Jakei doing her last Underverse episode... and that took me back to when I started doing my own AU... so I wanted to talk about it!
I never did much with that really, I wanted to express myself with writing since I gave up on drawing... but I discovered that was another thing I was not really good with.
What I'm good with is having ideas, even though I can't fit it all together so why not sharing it all? If someone still wants to do something with it, feel free... but the main point here is sharing it.
So, starting with the world, it would follow the basics of undertale, but heavily focused on puzzles.
The Royal Guard members would be Royal Scientist devoted to make weapons and creating ways to defeat humans, some would use puzzles, others would use robots or even improve their bodies with science.
Most regular monsters would give riddles, puzzles and things that test your mind in general instead of the usual fights.
The usual puzzles from room to room would be much more deadly like the lasers we see in the final stages of the game.
As for the main monsters that are treated as area bosses (or something similar), I will give a resume about them:
Toriel would be one of the few people to not rely on puzzles nor machinery but her magic alone would be used in such smart way that dodging her attacks could be considered a puzzle by itself;
Papyrus would be a brilliant Royal Scientist, but he was unable to join as a official member, the reason? He would be focused way too much in doing traps (which is not his specialty) instead of Puzzles that is what he excels at... his traps would be very non-letal, showing both his incompatibility with the method and his naivety;
Undyne as a member of the Royal Scientists would develop a variety of melee weapons with special properties, she would not be as strong as her original counterpart but she would use special armor to make up for it, you can think of her like a technological Erza Scarlet;
Alphys would be the creator of the armor Undyne uses, her monster chimeras not only would be way more stable but would also be the Royal Guard of this AU, because of that she does not to work as much anymore, resulting in something similar to what we see in the game;
Mettaton would be another member of the Royal Guard of this AU, being way more combat focused with samurai-like swords, Alphys would pretty much design Mettaton with her anime mindset and instead of the TV shows, Mettaton would do vlods of the daily jobs and similar stuff, mainly focusing in being something similar as a youtuber;
Asgore would be very similar to Toriel in the meaning that his magic and attacks would almost act as living puzzles. Before fighting him Frisk would have to travel a entire room made of traps using Asgore's fire magic, all of them being very letal;
For Asriel/Flowey there's no need to change his focal points, only difference being he was unable to stay determined due to Sans being even more aware of timeline changes and directly fighting against him;
Sans would be the most different one, as a ex member of the Royal Scientists he had direct contact with the first human to die there after Chara and would later be responsible for doing experiments related to human souls, resulting on him absorbing the soul of the same human he had contact with in the past. The reason why his design was full of stars is because that human would share the same love of stars that the monsters who live in the underground have.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
At some point I even did think about Sans having some kind of time chamber in his lab that would be unaffected by timeline changes and such. All around cool ideas but I could never fit this huge puzzle together... Anyway, my usage of tumblr is very low in the past years and I even doubt someone will read it but if you did, I hope you liked what you saw.

Descending via the Thirty-Third Facet, we arrive in Merryall Agronomics.
There are no gleaners in the immediate vicinity, yet the workers are just as harried. Time to investigate!
I ask around a bit and perform some menial tasks, and eventually find myself on this little hilltop in front of these pretty glowing flowers. Which I know are Important because of how the camera lingers on them.
A passing botanist sees me admiring them, and stops to inform me that these flowers are like mood rings and their colors reflect the ambient emotion - right now they're a dull grey because of the anxiety and stress the workers are under. Despite knowing why they do the thing they do, no one has been able to get to the bottom of how. We also don't know where they come from.
Interesting. I am sure this will be relevant eventually, but I cannot imagine how.
We spy Erenville from a distance, arriving presumably to give the report he mentioned to his superior. We bet this superior is a forum member, and resolve to eavesdrop.
Krile is worryingly distracted by the flowers.
Y'shtola... turns us into toads. So we can spy better.
I. Was not aware this was a thing that could happen.
Alphi-toad and Ali-toad!
Omg I am losing it.
TOADS.
...Okay. Okay.
We find Erenville meeting with a forum member, and it seems he has a bone to pick with them himself.
A momentous duty they were charged with? And open acknowledgement of the Final Days? Jackpot.
While walking away Erenville notices us, and recognizes us instantly, lol.
Returning to Y'shtola we split up to find Krile, who has turned back due to not feeling well. I find her back at the flowers, where she picks one and casts a spell on it to keep it from wilting before giving it to me.
Uh... "She?" I think I can hazard a guess which She we're talking about.
Hello again, Hydaelyn.
Yes, I had gathered you were unable to save the First yourself. That wasn't my issue. My complaint was about your lack of communication. Surely you could have spoken with your champions as you are with me now. You could have told them what needed doing; you could have asked them for help. Failing that, simply speaking with them would have eased their suffering, instead of ignoring their pleas as you did.
...I forget if I learned about the aetherial sea through the game or if one of my friends let it slip by accident that that's where the dead go. Hmm. I suppose it doesn't really matter.
...Are you telling me that the sea is separate between the reflections?
I mean. I suppose that makes sense. I had just assumed it was all one thing. But... Oh, of course that makes sense. Or else the shards of the sundered souls would have the potential of meeting themselves and getting mixed up. Then, that means that those who die in a shard are forever trapped there, regardless of where they originated.
Thank you, then. That was... surprisingly considerate of you. On behalf of Minfilia, of Thancred, of the rest of my friends. Genuinely. Thank you for bringing her home. The idea of her separated from those she loved and who loved her in return, for eternity, is a horror I didn't know I had to consider.
I can think of several who died, but none who are both natives of the Source and not your enemies. Who else did you bring back...?
...Wait. It's not Emet-Selch, is it? Is that why he's narrating??
Gah. I don't know if that actually makes sense or if I'm just a horribly biased fan and can't not think about him. Why would Hydaelyn do anything to aid her mortal enemy? But, only Emet and Elidibus were natives of the Source, and Elidibus got absorbed by the Crystal Tower...
*sigh*
This is a mystery that will only be solved by progressing the plot. I will just have to live with not knowing for the time being.
You mean I'm not tempered? Is that what you're saying? Or is it that you won't impose your will over mine?
I will try. It's what I always do; try my best.
And then She is gone, and Krile is herself again. Not that I'm not glad Hydaelyn is finally communicating with us... But I am leery of seeing those blue eyes on another of my friends. I can never forget what happened to Minfilia.
On that we can both agree. Why She feels the need to be so cryptic is a mystery to me.
Uh oh. (And here I will cut the post, because this is getting quite long.)

good farewells with all the Scions and other NPCs leading up to the final blastoff
of note, the main trio of grownup Scions are endearing and have grown a lot and I hope for Y'shtola's and Thancred's sake, we figure out how to get them back to the First. love that they do clearly care about each other and want to stay involved even if they might go their separate ways
Estinien continues to impress me with his character growth; right at the Hydalen fight, when she exposits on everyone's arcs, she mentions the rage Estinien's traded in for love and he clearly gets embarrassed having to admit that FINE, yes, he loves things, even Ysayle and Alphy and the stupid WoL and his stupid home and he's never known peace since letting these maniacs into his life and HAHA! Estinien has feelings!
So naturally him having to meet Alphinaud's mom and then probably a.) panic because the Leveilleurs are like... rich rich, and he is a feral cat, and b.) PANIC because oh no, he has a family again and seeing Alphinaud with his mom reminds Estinien of his own mom and he has a little brother again and his surrogate brother's mom also loves him and oh no he's not a feral cat anymore he got adopted, SHIT
Alphy as always is my special little guy and he now confidently embraces sentiment and saying the things he thinks and feels and believes, and god, he's such a good and gentle character, I love him so much. Getting to say thanks to him and Estinien both isn't enough, Alphinaud is the reason she's a Hero at all and not just a killing machine with a conscience, he reminded her to hope and to try, he's the best
Alisaie and G'raha's moments were cute but nothing especially revelatory or reflective. I did finally figure out why they always get thrown into situations together tho; because they are both tiny hyperactive adrenaline junkies who want to impress the WoL SO BAD and are red themed, so, appropriate! They tuckered themselves out and passed out on a bench, adorable.
And Tataru also finally made me a good outfit! truly, everyone's character arcs have been resolved :)

UT Yellow Spoilers Ahead.
So. Here’s some buffer text so this shouldn’t show up in your notifications. The spoilery parts. The spoiliest. Consider this your spoiler warning.
Yeah, this is probably long enough. I’m just gonna shotgun this lol.
We’re going to start with the good.
So the good!
Yeah. There’s a LOT. Way too much to mention, so here’s some highlights.
Toriel showing up is obviously a necessity. But it was such a cool little moment to have the rescue ending (:
Nice callback to UT’s little “wait for something to happen” moments that happen in the Core and Ruins.
The music, of course, is amazing. Whether it’s the original music or the remix (I dig that Hopes and Memes remix), they did a phenomenal job.
On the front of artistic expression, the art. Sprites are amazing. The flashback art is amazing. The videos are super cool. The animations are really good.
Gameplay is pretty in line with Undertale. You’ll find yourself holding X a lot more to slow yourself down than you did in UT.
I like how the game makes callouts to beloved characters we don’t see directly, like Alphys and Undyne. It was nice to see more of the same side characters, too. The expansion on monsters is good- like Dalv. And we finally see farms.
I love Clover, Martlet, and the Feisty Five. Cerboro… well, we’ll talk about her later. Their dialogue is always great. I don’t think there was even a single bad line.
The hugs at the end! And the hand holding! And how much everyone just loves Clover aaaaah
Also Flowey (:
Good cowboy representation!!!
Snowdin expansion (:
More of the Ruins we never got to see (:
We got to see the city up close wooo!!
The map is just good. My favorite part was the Dunes. I liked seeing the UG Apartment Complex. The Royal statue specifically. Nice smaller detail that I’m glad didn’t go forgotten.
Also! UT Yellow successfully retains the writing and goofiness of UT. While the drama doesn’t hit AS hard, it’s still definitely a tearjerker! It really makes you see the six kids as more than just a number. Helps to put gravity and weight on that.
But most importantly, the creators very clearly have such love and respect for UT. It shows in their creation. A lot of hard work and effort went into it. UT Yellow is what all fan games should look to do in my opinion. I want you to keep this in mind for what I’m going to say about the dislikes.
Here’s what I didn’t like:
Do you wish every fight was as bad as Sans? Do you hate everyone and yourself? Do you wish to inflict pain on your mental well-being? Do you straight up suck at dodging, but love seeing game over screens?
Congratulations. This game is for you. It’s a mix bag for me. Extra challenge is good, but this was extreme.
The boss fights don’t hold back. So this could easily be in the “good” category if you’re a masch… maschochist? Masc… enjoy pain. I can’t spell it, okay??? And I ain’t gonna Google it.
Axis took me close to two and a half hours to beat (in comparison, the dance boss took only about an hour and a half).
That’s my only real complaint about the pacifist run as far as combat goes. No way monsters would’ve been locked away without a single soul during the war if they were this strong.
I will say the world makes the Underground seem TOO big, which contradicts the whole “the underground is too small” narrative Undertale pushed. I think Yellow mentions it once or twice, too? HOWEVER!! I am totally and completely willing to ignore this because cowboy hehe (:
Plus, it explains some food source. Little curious how they’re growing crops underground, but I’ll just go with “it’s magic so it doesn’t need sunlight” as my excuse.
Flowey. I know I said I liked him, too. So here’s what’s going on.
This is gonna be weird to people because Asriel and Frisk are my favorite UT characters. And I don’t even dislike Flowey in Yellow! He’s super funny.
But he should not be there.
His presence opens up a whole can of worms.
1- He can save and load while Clover can’t (he is Clover’s save point). This isn’t an issue in itself, but it is an issue at the same time because Flowey’s goal to take human souls would be ten billion times easier if he just bodied Clover at the very first opportunity like he tried to do with Frisk. This is a kid who throws a temper tantrum after about five seconds of you not dying to his bullets. I don’t think he would have the patience to play the long con.
2- Flowey doesn’t seem to have met a human other than Chara and Frisk… and the ones who killed him, I guess. The True Lab implies that before him, LemonBread had the SAVE/LOAD ability for a short time.
3- Flowey’s presence also stuffs the timeline in a box. We’re to assume Flowey in UT woke up relatively recently, because he’s been screwing with timelines. But Toriel tells us a human hasn’t been underground in “a long time” in both games. I can picture this being 7-10 years minimum.
Are we really going to believe Alphys had people locked in her basement for ten years? Because I couldn’t see that lasting more than 3 months tbh. 6 months would be a MASSIVE stretch before people stormed the gates. I feel like Alphys’s mention should’ve been left at “the new Royal scientist made a robot.”
Leave out the subplot of Cerbora’s blatant disregard for child safety. You wouldn’t even need to do away with the (frankly busted) fight she had (I did most of it with the silver scarf btw).
My final thing that is a total complaint is the genocide ending. Clover gains the LOAD/SAVE, one shots Asgore, murks Flowey, and frees the souls. But they’d still be trapped down there lol.
I feel like Asgore should’ve just skewered Clover and that should’ve been the genocide ending. Flowey being left out would’ve nullified my dislike of him dying (for realsies).
Though I will say, the art made exclusively for it is disturbing as heck and belongs in a horror game. So they definitely did a great job on that part of it.
Speaking of Asgore… he seems really out of character to just fire someone like he does. I can disregard this as him wanting kids to NOT die. Axis is very clearly a way bigger threat than MTT could ever dream to be.
So really, my complaints boil down to:
1- Game too hard ):
2- Biiiig place but cool so it’s worth it (but how the heck is there a desert down here? Who cares!? Worth it!)
3- Genocide ending sad and dumb and I hate it because sad and weird):
4- Flowey’s presence
5- Timeline confuzzlement.
The first is a skill issue (even if I know I haven’t had nearly as many issues as some other people).
The second is really just a mix bag. It makes sense in most places (Snowdin, Hotland, New Home, Home/the Ruins) but less so in other places (the Dunes, aka my favorite spot in Yellow. Damn, I’m willing to compromise just to keep this tho.)
The third is just personal preference I guess… I don’t like how it’s contradictory to UT. As a stand-alone thing, it’s perfectly fine. Just too depressing for me.
The fourth… well… okay, this is the only complaint I don’t see myself budging on.
The fifth just needs some minor corrections.
How is Yellow overall?
If Undertale is a 9, which frankly it is, I’d give UT Yellow a solid 8.75. It should be impossible to make a fan game that’s almost as good as the content it was based on, but the absolute madlads did it. They really did it.
Jury’s still out on DeltaRune, but I rate it around an 8.25 so far.
For context, out of all of my favorite games, I’ve never once thought of a game as a ten. Not even the fantastic Fallout: New Vegas or the reliable (Halo) Reach.

The theory that chara isn't evil is fundamentaly flawed and incorrect.
Throughout my binge watching MANY undertale theories I've noticed a pattern. I'll look in the comments of a theory that mentions the fact that chara is evil in some way and their will always be some comments like....
"ItS NoT ChARAs FAult ItS ThE PlaYEr"
While yes in the genocide route, one could argue the player's actions influenced chara's behavior. However.....
That Does NOT excuse their actions in pacifist and in the tapes.
I previously mentioned the theory that chara emotionally abused asriel in my Alphys theory.
(the video is almost done please be patient)
I am very convinced that this theory is true due to one line in particular....
This dialogue from asriel....
The WHOLE point of this line is asriel realizing that Chara wasn't a good person.... Finally seeing through the manipulation and lies from his so called "best friend".... And the main reason asriel realizes you aren't Chara is because you show him true kindness and mercy...
Which when we take into consideration him thinking your chara in the ruins.
(Specifically in the route where you seek out and kill everyone, including his and chara's mother)
Is something Chara would NEVER DO.
This moment is a beautiful representation of someone standing up and speaking out against someone who manipulated and emotionally abused them....
And the theory that chara isn't evil throws this beautiful moment right in the DAMN trashcan....
Think about this logically... Do you REALLY expect me to believe Toby Fox, a beautiful storyteller would include this wonderful moment of a character standing up to the manipulation and abuse from someone who claimed to be their best friend...
Only to turn around and say that the person doing the manipulation wasn't really ever evil...?
Really...?
Let that sink in...
If your still not convinced hears some rapid examples of chara's evil behavior in the Pacifist route.
Insulting napstablook
Laughing at snowdrakes mother
"Big kids don't cry"
Asriel (chara's best Friend) literally saying they were not a good person.
Laughed after accidentally poising asgore
And if you want to argue Chara was laughing to hide their sadness about what they did.... THAT'S ALSO THEORY AND NOT CONFIRMED!
And you can't prove a theory using a theory unless both theories are backed by evidence...
Now do I think chara is truly evil....? No I don't...
It is theorized that they were abused on the surface and their hatred for humanity likely caused a lot of their issues...
So I don't think chara is completely evil. But as asriel said.... Chara is certainly not a good person....
But hey... That's just my little theory. If you have evidence to prove me right or wrong feel free to comment or reblog. I love hearing everyone's opinions and evidence that I may have missed.

Yeah, of course! We’ll do a lot better than last time, I promise. *Flowey feels an even greater attachment to Chara now, after hearing that specific deal of their mother starving them as punishment. Nothing like that should ever happen to them again. To go along with the soul-amplified empathy for Chara’s situation, Flowey also feels vengeful and proud even, to have killed their mother.*
*Flowey burrows back to Kara, unsurprised by the commotion not only because he was warned in advance, but also because it’s just a common event at this point for physical fights to break out. He doesn’t bother to step in yet though, since everyone else seems to have it covered. He stays at the ready just in case.*
Jeez, what do people have against you, Kara? You’re like a battle magnet. I think you should run from the battle this time since you’re already hurt. Undyne will have the anon distracted for a while.
(Kara) " I guess the more people know me, the more people hate me. Luckily, my arm will improve soon enough if I replace it with a mechanical arm." (Dess) "I didn't promise that. Kara gives Dess the side eye. But we do have the tech. You will still be technically different, though. It might even be able to control from others." (Undyne) "While fighting I never thought an Airbender was real since Alphys told me anime was fake. Anyway, I can't fight alone for much longer." Kara swings their sword at them and,
(Kara) "I guess that's a win?" (Sans) "You didn't die." (Kara) "True." Everyone gets an alert on their phones except those who don't live in this universe. There's a news article. (News) "Today, we're finally revealing that Asgore will be tried in court for the murder of 6 kids in a few weeks. Now, if the people think Asgore should be found unjustified in those killings, the penalty will be no less than death. If found justified, then no penalty shall be placed. If it's not a unanimous vote in the jury, it'll be up to the Prime Minister. If you remember the laws, you might realize that the death penalty is strictly prohibited. However, this does not apply to monsters since they don't have similar rights. Thank you for listening, and keep notified to see more about this case." (Dess) "Starts laughing Wow, this is hilarious now, just how much evil is in humanity. Using the death penalty? PFFT, and they call America evil. I wish all humans would just kill each other already! It's obvious total extinction will come when they all A-Bomb themselves anyway. Why can't I kill them?" (Kara) "Smacks Dess in the face. Listen here, you little shit. Humans, I'll admit, are sometimes evil. But you want to kill them all? What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you were a good monster. At least that's how you reacted to Noelle and…" (Dess) "NOELLE'S DEAD!!! I say those who are dead don't care anyway." (Kara) "Wait, has all this backlash and anger been because you miss Noelle?" (Dess) "What? No, I'm fine. I'm just a jerk to everyone I meet." (Kara) "It's okay if you are sad. Can you let it out to me?" Dess looked in the opposite direction, fighting back tears. (Kara) "You know, I remember when we all used to go to ICE E's Pizza's. We all used to sit down and talk. Remember what you did when Noelle got scared because the ICE E's mascot came through." (Dess) "I would hold her in my arms. I would say, 'Shh, it's okay, he won't hurt you,' and she'd be happy. She couldn't hold it in and cried. Kara, Sniff I miss our childhoods. I miss when we used to be friends and be happy together. I miss my dear father. I miss my little sister. I even miss my Mom. I've tried to start a new life with all these people, but they're never as good as us. And seeing you with Flowey shows we are about as far apart as ever. You have friends and no longer need me nor love me." (Kara) "Hugs Dess Listen to me. It doesn't matter if we're friends, lovers, or acquaintances. We make our lives better by being together. That's all that matters." They cry for what seems like forever until finally, they both stop. (Dess) "Alright, we can continue."
#undertale#the white soul#kara#flowey#ask flowey#airspeaker#sans#dess holiday#I wanted to make Dess actually likable but still not the best so here you go.#Just so you know Dess won't be fixed just better.

Pasteltale (WARNING - Gore/Creepy Imagery and Writing)
Ah... I had to dig through the depths of my teenage mindset to find this old AU idea. I decided to revamp it, because I want an AU Sans to call my own - so to speak. Read on to find out what this AU will be about.
I love cute stuff! But I also love dark and fucked up stuff, thus this AU was born! Pasteltale takes place in - ultimately - a scared kingdom. See, instead of the Humans winning the Great War, the Monsters did. Scared, the old queen declared, "All Monster-kind are to be trained in the battle arts, to be prepared for - or to prevent - another war from starting."
Humans and Monsters were allowed to share the pangea of land on their gorgeous planet... with a caveat. A massive wall splits the two kingdoms, keeping their kinds isolated. Humans more or less learned to move on from the past. Monsters however...
Even today, Monster children are still taught in the ways of battle. Royal scientist Dr. W.D. Gaster - with the help of his brilliant young apprentice, Alphys Treio - created a form of non-sentient species that resembled humans. These "pseudo humans" were designed specifically to be realistic, fleshy dummies for Monster children to practice slaughtering humans. Even going as far as to make the "blood" pink and taste like monster candy, to encourage violence. Over time, one may say that Monsters have become more naturally... unhinged.
Take Sans here, for example. He's a young teen, 16 years of age and in what Monsters call the second to final stage of schooling; it's called "Junior's Battle Academy". His father, before becoming the royal scientist, was a seasoned royal guardsman. So Sans definitely inherited some of his father's skills. Though, Gaster didn't quite prepare for his eldest's amount of... shall we say... enthusiasm for the craft. Being in a very rich family means Sans has access to a lot of weapons, but he likes to wield axes. In his words, they are, "Light enough to swing viciously, and heavy enough to be just as vicious as the swing to their stupid brains!" Gaster of course is very proud of him, believing he'll be a good role model for his four year old brother, Papyrus.
It's been really awesome revamping this AU. I find myself more in love with this AU than I was when I was a Hollywood Undead listening 15 year old! Hell, I might just drop Weirdtale all together (well... not completely drop. I might make art of it here and there.) if people want to see this gorey, grotesque, pastel vomit of an AU. Please let me know what you think of this concept! If you're not too grossed out by gore, that is. Heh heh.

Undertale x Deltarune Theory: Chara, Frisk & Kris came from The Same Soul From Fragmentation...and The True Pacifist Ending Is a Anomaly
[Note: Do Not Reblog Without Permission.]
this is just a theory, but I believe that Chara might not really be the True Fallen Human, just a fragment soul born from the Original Human that fell into the underground who shares the same appearance as the human in the opening and flashbacks in the game, as well as with Kris.
Chara might not be the only one who was born from the original human who fell into the underground, Kris and Frisk might be as well.
and yes, I believe that while the Queen Toriel Ending, might very well be the true ending, and if you go back to your save like Flowey says and reload it back to where you are outside of the room where you face the king, and you could turn back and end up going to the place where the whole Undyne finally calls you happens, which if I knew that could happen during a reload, I wouldn’t of reset to the very start of the game...
anyway while the Monsters being free from the underground is good, but it is also ends up being a Anomaly, if you make sure to befriend Papyrus, Undyne and a few others, and if you do try to go back to trigger the call from Undyne, it sadly wont happen at first, and you will have to face King Asgore anyway, despite wanting to try to hook Undyne and Alphys up, and this can only happen if you reload from where you last save before fighting Asgore, meaning you didn’t have to reset at all this whole freaking time. O_O
while we do love the true pacifist happy ending in Undertale, it is sadly a Anomaly Ending, well I believe so.
it’s possible that the Queen Toriel Ending in the game, might be the True Timeline, and it might still exist even if the red soul of the Player were to jump from that timeline to the one where we free all the monsters.
and when we do end up in the true lab, and find that very large “mirror”, it isn’t just a mirror, it is a glass that sees through to where the Other Frisk from the Queen Toriel Timeline, is being kept.
this would mean that version of Frisk, didn’t leave the underground, and because the two timelines are connected, the Frisk from the Anomaly Timeline aka True Pacifist Timeline, doesn’t just go down the elevator to the true lab of the Anomaly Timeline, they end up in the Queen Toriel Timeline one.
only when they go through the elevator once more, and to where the generator is,that end up back in the Anomaly Timeline with the version of Alphys who lives in that Anomaly/True Pacifist Timeline, and it is the Alphys from the Queen Toriel Timeline that kidnap Frisk and took them to the true lab after the player’s red soul leaves their body and ends up in past version of themself that would be from the Anomaly Timeline.
while some parts of the true lab in both timelines might share some similarities,
but in the True Pacifist Timeline (that is also the Anomaly Timeline), Alphys doesn’t kidnap Frisk and lock them up behind a glass in the true lab.
and that version of Frisk, who we end up leaving behind in that Queen Toriel Timeline, even if unknowingly...
ends up becoming a test subject for that version of Alphys, who might very well can no longer be redeemed because her experiments might of been the reason why that version of Frisk, could go on a Geno Route.
that version of Frisk might of found a way to escape the True Lab, by breaking the glass and finding a machine that could take them back in time or at least to a different timeline, which would be The Anomaly Timeline, to the point where they are outside of the room where they are suppose to fight Asgore.
and if that version of Frisk were to do a Reset, they might end up creating a another Anomaly Timeline, even if the True Pacifist Timeline still exist.
plus it could be possible that before the Player’s Red Soul was placed in Frisk, they had possibly already went through heck when they first went into the underground, and at some point had enough and decided to show no mercy to the monsters...
which would explain if we choose to name the Fallen Human “Frisk”, it shows some interesting words...
this could mean that before the Player comes along, Frisk had possibly went through a Geno Route before and might turn out to not have a soul, but a hollow-soul instead.
like I had said before about this theory and it’s my fan headcanon as well.
a hollow-soul is heart shaped and might not only be in red, but could be in different colors for all we know, and well it is heart shaped but it has no filling in the center, this means that it is soulless, while it appears like a normal soul, it isn’t, because it is a hollow-soul.
the good part of Frisk that makes up a fragment soul, is possibly with the player’s red soul, and even if we do end up giving them a happy ending, and do as Flowey says that let them live their life and be happy.
maybe the red soul that is still in Frisk even after we get a happy ending, might end up bonding to them and causing that version of Frisk to have a full soul again.
in one of my new offline accounts, I made it so that Frisk and all the monsters get their happy ending and are free, and would not experience another reset, cause the one where the fallen human was named “Frisk” was enough.
that and the reloading save file in the game.
I like to think that they are just living happy in the true pacifist/anomaly timeline that is in the Nintendo Switch.
I can still play the game on my other offline accounts and even my non-offline one, but if I do play on that other one that has the true pacifist happy ending in it from Undertale, I’m not gonna play Undertale on that again, because I’m having the characters in the game have a true and permanent happy ending and not end up going back to the underground.
and I know that in that timeline, I didn’t have Frisk flirt with Toriel or date Papyrus, well technically in both the Queen Toriel Timeline/True Timeline and the True Pacifist/Anomaly Timeline.
anyway all Frisk did from that new game timeline, was befriend and hang out with Papyrus, and only called Toriel “Mom”...
and in the end, I had Frisk stay with Toriel.
and I guess depending how you played the game, the man from the other world, could mean Sans from the Queen Toriel Timeline.
he could very well be “the man who speaks in hands...”
the first human who was adopted by Asgore and Toriel, and became The Original Prince Asriel’s sibling, ended up having their soul fragmenting into different pieces.
each of the new fallen humans, are possibly made up of those parts, but are in different colors instead of just red.
but it could just be Frisk, Kris and Chara who are fragments from the Original Human who was named Chara or [Redact]/Player’s Choice.
Kris making up one of those fragments, ended up being reborn in the world of Deltarune, and was adopted by another version of their family, where Asriel is alive and much older than them.
and we know that Kris is nonbinary, and I guess depending on the player, some could view them as either a nonbinary who goes by only they/them,
or like a nonbinary-boy who goes by both they/them & he/him, or like a nonbinary-girl who goes by they/them & she/her.
I guess I wouldn’t mind viewing the Kris I play as in Deltarune, as being a Enbirl.
like there could be a Nonbinary-Boy Frisk and a Nonbinary-Girl Chara, like calling them a boy or girl, or like Enboy or Enbirl, and using both they/them and she/her as well as him/he to them, they might not mind.
but call them “Male” or “Female” and that would be misgendering them...
I guess it might be confusing, but we know that while the Gems from Steven Universe do appear “female”, they are more of Feminine and they are sexless.
we know that some versions of Frisk, Chara and Kris, are either just a Boy or Girl or Agender or Nonbinary.
but we could also view some versions of them being either a Enboy or Enbirl.
a Nonbinary-Girl could still be called a girl, but also be called enbirl, but it might be possible that not many would do that, I mean I don’t think I mind being called a enbirl, but that wouldn’t mean everyone would feel the same.
if the Original Fallen Human, let’s call them The Original-Chara...
had reached a breaking point where their soul fragmented, it might be possible a small piece of it stayed with The Original Asriel’s dust and that fragment and that dust make up Flowey, might seem like he is soulless, but he might in fact have a small red fragment of The Original-Chara’s Soul.
even if one of the fragments of Chara has took up their name (or the name that the Player gives the Original-Chara), they are possibly not the Original-Chara...
like the Original Prince Asriel, they are gone....
like picture it like how Pink-Steven says that Pink Diamond is gone, and at some point yells it at White Diamond.
even if both Chara and Flowey have no idea that their original selves are gone, they still believe they are fully them, but really they are made up of fragments of who they use to be but also being different from them.
Chara could of been born from both The Original Asriel’s dust just as Flowey was....
and while The Original Prince Asriel is gone, his body could of very well regenerated, but as a hollow-soul that is full of their dead sibling’s determination, which was left behind when their human soul ended up shattered.
while there are different versions of Riverperson, I believe that the Riverperson in the main timeline, like in the True Pacifist/Anomaly Timeline and the Queen Toriel/True Timeline, the Riverperson is technically The Original Asriel, but without a soul and is just full of determination that was left over after their sibling’s soul had shattered and fragmented, leaving nothing of their old self left.
even if the Riverperson does help the Player, they might still be what is left of the Original Asriel, and could be that Other Ralsei.
I still think that the True Ralsei is the one that Kris first goes on that adventure with to the Card Kingdom, and while the hooded figure could of started out as the Other Ralsei, the one we befriend might of switch places with him, because the True Ralsei asked him to, and might of gave him extra clothes that look like the ones he wears and put some of his essence magic in to make them transform into his likeness and appear and sound like him.
a version of Flowey, who could be from The Queen Toriel Timeline, might of ended up in Deltarune before Kris and Susie fell to the dark world.
and Flowey could of befriended the True Ralsei, and that Ralsei would trust Flowey to protect the lightners from the Other Ralsei.
but when Susie was busy trying to save Kris from King, this gave the Other Ralsei a chance to switch places with Flowey/Body-Double Ralsei.
Other-Ralsei took the hat and clothes that the True-Ralsei gave Flowey, and hid them, and he could of possible threw Flowey in the place where Jevil was locked up.
and Other-Ralsei could of been secretly following Kris and Flowey/”Ralsei” the whole time, even when they met up with Susie.
the reason why that coat-rack darkner has Ralsei’s hat on, is because the Other-Ralsei is keeping it there because it is infused with the True-Ralsei’s magic that let’s Flowey become Ralsei.
Other-Ralsei has the True-Ralsei locked up somewhere in Castle Town, and since True-Ralsei wouldn’t be able to protect Kris and Susie, they trust Flowey with the job and places some of their magic into some extra clothes and hat they have and gives them to Flowey.
in Ralsei form, Flowey could look like a perfect copy of the True-Ralsei...
while the Other-Ralsei does not, because one, The Other-Ralsei has longer horns, is slightly taller and has bigger feet than the True-Ralsei who has smaller horns, smaller feet and seems to be a little shorter and maybe around Kris’s height.
when Kris and Susie are about to leave for the light world in Chapter 1,
Other-Ralsei might of had time to throw Flowey in the same place that Jevil is in, and then go to the big door that Ralsei/Flowey and Kris went through, and went through it and then locked it, and then go to the light world and lock the door that is inside the unused classroom...
this would keep Kris and Susie from finding out the truth, cause if both are closed, this would mean t hat Kris and Susie can’t go back to Card Kingdom and find out the Ralsei with them is a fake and the one that was left behind in Card Kingdom, was acting as a double for the True-Ralsei, to protect them from the Other-Ralsei.
even if both Undertale and Deltarune are two different timelines and worlds, with different outcomes and experiences, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible for each person from the two worlds, not to end up going to each other’s world.
there could also be a third world, where a in-game Player who plays both games of the world, lives at.
we are the Players outside the game, while the in-game Player is the one who lives in a world that is between those two worlds and viewing it as just a game, but where they are from, it is very much real, even if they don’t know it.
there can be many different theories about the timelines of Undertale, but it could still be possible that True Pacifist Ending, might be a Anomaly Timeline.
and the True Timeline is the Queen Toriel Timeline.
the King Papyrus, Queen Alphys, Queen Undyne and King Mettaton timelines, might only end up happening in not fully geno and neutral runs.
The Pacifist Queen Toriel Timeline, might be the True Timeline.
it might be possible that Toriel from the Queen Toriel Timeline, might of been using us the Player and Frisk, the whole time to overthrow her ex-husband...
but only the Anomaly Timeline version of herself has a change of heart, and decides to stop the fight before anyone gets hurt...
she doesn’t do this in the other timelines, only in a True Pacifist Timeline, which is the Anomaly Timeline, but the Anomaly Timeline might be a good thing, the monsters are free and happy, but the original and true timeline where Toriel is Queen would always exist even as the timeline where the monsters are free and Frisk is living with their new Mom Toriel, is living happy and not being forced back into the underground because of the reset.
in the Anomaly Timeline, Toriel might of never went through with the thoughts or even had the thought pass through her mind, to use Frisk to get rid of her ex-husband, this might be because of when the save is reloaded, it alters that timeline just a little to be different from the original true timeline that is the Queen Toriel Timeline.
if those two versions of Toriel ever met, and Queen Toriel admits to using Frisk to get rid of King Asgore, this could cause the Toriel from the Anomaly/True Pacifist Timeline to get really upset and maybe even slap Queen Toriel.
and then there is the whole Original Vessel Frisk who was suppose to leave the underground, but ends up being left behind by the Player when we take the red soul and end up in the Anomaly Timeline...
if Queen Toriel didn’t know that Frisk was locked up behind some large class in the true lab, then she might end up finding out in some point and start to question her timeline’s Alphys as to why she should keep such a big secret from them and why she didn’t simply let them leave the underground.
like even if she did use them, she could still feel some form of guilt and might of not wished for them to be used in experiments that would be a way to see if it will end up freeing all monsters from the underground.
but that Frisk, the one that Queen Toriel had used and ends up feeling guilt over, doesn’t have a soul, they are only left with what appears like a normal soul, but it has no filling in the middle and is heart shaped hole, and is called a Hollow-Soul.
the one who has the red soul, is the Frisk in the Anomaly/True Pacifist Ending Timeline, and could possibly keep it if the Player just let’s them be.
the red soul, could be part of the soul fragment from the Original-Chara who is gone and never coming back, no matter how much Flowey or The Original Asriel want them to come back to them, but all there is let are the fragments that make up Chara who has taken the Original’s name, and might not know they are a fragment of the Original, then there is Frisk and Kris.
Frisk could turn out to be the Original-Chara’s body, that was kept preserved by the magic bandages that was around their body and because they normally had their eyes covered, no one had recognized them because their bangs were somehow cut.
this could mean that they never went through a Geno Route before the Player came along, and had been Soulless the whole time, and when the Red Soul that also has a good Frisk fragment soul to it, ends up in the soulless Frisk, it gives them a soul but also has them share control of their body with the Player.
even if the Player can move Frisk through the underground, they still are able to move by themself, like to hide behind the lamp or follow Papyrus around really fast until they get back to in front of his and Sans’s shared home.
even if their True Name was Chara, their original self is still gone, because their original soul ended up fully breaking into many pieces.
Frisk could be the name they chosen for themselves (while they still have the red soul that comes from the Player), for a fresh start, since their parents and brother has no clue who they are because they never saw them without their bangs covering their eyes.
there could be different mysterious about Frisk and Chara that we haven’t figured out yet, same goes for Kris.
and in some timelines, like in the Fanon AU Timelines, Frisk and Chara are two separate beings, but could of once been one in the same in another timeline, they use to be one in the same until their original self had their soul break into many pieces until there was nothing left of the original soul, which means that the Original them is gone for good.
anyway I don’t really have anything much to say that has to do with Frisk, Chara and Kris being parts of The Original-Chara.
when Frisk has the Red Soul in them, even if it might turn out it’s not their original soul and it becomes fused with their hollow-soul, they might have memories about their past before they were brought back to life by the Player’s Proxy Red Soul.
Frisk might of been Original-Chara’s body, but them having a new soul might be in a way, them being reborn as a different person...
it’s possible that their family that makes up Asgore, Toriel and The Original Asriel...
might of never seen their eyes and only know what they look like from how they had their eyes covered by their bangs, but without their bangs covering their eyes, they seem like a different person to them.
and maybe I can think about why The Original-Chara’s soul had fragmented and shattered and leaving nothing left of their original soul save for a heart shaped soulless/hollow-soul.
but I can think about and post about that another time...

I have thoughts around FFXIV and the latest interview with Yoshi-P. Dawntrail spoilers!
So, the big thing I want to write about is my thoughts around the Scions. Because I love the Scions to pieces and, from what I glean with this interview, we're going to be moving away from their involvement.
I totally understand, narratively, why one would want to do that. Our cast is already too big! And I do take heart in the fact that they'll say "oh we may only see the twins one expansion", etc. That makes sense to me. After all, Y'sh was injured for a majority of main Stormblood, etc. That all is fine.
I do not agree that they've developed the Scions fully, at least not Y'shtola. But if that's where they want to leave them and let the players fill in the gaps, OK. But give them believable "endings" or exits from the story.
Estinien is allowed to keep wandering like he did before. That's fair. The twins may want to stick around and do more diplomat work -- again, that's fine. We didn't really need them in DT, I think.
Thancred and Urianger? I think we need to open the portal to the First and shove them back to live with Ryne and Gaia, training them, helping the First and the Empty recover. I think that would be 100% reasonable.
Krile can focus on the Students of Baldesion now that she has her answers around her origins, or she can work with those in Solution 9.
G'raha Tia? This is where I'm a little dubious, because his whole thing is LEMME GO ON AN ADVENTURE WITH YOU, BESTIE. I think he should take the role Wuk Lamat did as far as being our mouthpiece during the Meracydia expansion. Kind of like how Alphy spoke for WOL in Heavensward, etc. I get it, we NEED that kind of character because we are voiceless.
Y'shtola is hard to put away because even if she was buried writing her thesis, she would come assist us. So either kill her off permanently, lock her away in some post-world-travel-experimental mishap, or injure her again. I love Y'shtola so, so, SO MUCH. SO MUCH. I don't want her to die. But give her an appropriate ending/reason to be busy and unable to help us.
The reasoning is practically baked in, and I'm praying that the writing team does our Scions justice. Even just saying "theyre too busy" is FINE until we get to catastrophic events! Or flash over to see them help fight wherever they are locally!
Just don't have them within reach and then drop them to a cameo. It isn't fair. Especially with how intensely found family everything was in Endwalker. Don't soldify my family and then rip them away.
As for the slow setup...
It makes me wonder exactly what they want us to know about the peoples of Tural. Are we supposed to just keep themes in mind? Or is Tural very very important to the plot?
Since it does have the Serpent of Not!Ronka in the one dungeon, are we saying that perhaps we'll be revisiting the zones over and over, similar to a new Eorzea? It doesn't feel quite big enough to do that, but maybe. I am intrigued, and willing to trust the writing team's setup. I appreciate that Yoshi-P acknowledged that VERY slow pacing, at least.
I'm also glad he didn't acknowledge the controversy around Wuk Lamat. Honestly, it comes down to preference, and I think that her role really helped prove one thing: players don't want WOL to be the background character. If she was better received, I worry we might have gotten that sort of character-guide-per-expansion moving forward.
My hopes for the future include:
Our new big enemy, if not a big finale enemy, is a fellow shard of Azem that destroys our crystal, therefore not letting us summon people anymore (we just use the animation we did before)
the Serpent of Ronka is a sundered form of a more powerful familiar of azem, possibly with the stupid face because that's an Azem thing to do
FF7-themed expansion, I want to fight Jenova
Some giant serpent is feeding on the lifestream/aetehrial sea and that is what allowed meteion's influence to hit us so hard -- this is an existing theory , not mine
JUST GIVE ME MORE INN ROOM INTERACTIONS WITH MY SCIONS IFT HEYRE IN THE WORLD, I WANT CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS TO CONTINUE EVEN IF THE SCIONS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. FUCK IT, JUST HAVE THEM SEND ME A LETTER IF NEED BE.

As someone who loves Alphys (and Undyne), I feel the need to add just a bit to this.
The "annoying" problem is something that I feel people blow out of proportion. Not that it isn't annoying, but her being annoying to begin with is intentional. Alphys starts off as a stereotypical nerd character who's annoying and geeky, but then turns into a nuanced character with actual depth. I feel that Alphys goes through the most character development out of all the main character.
This is by no means excusing all the bad things she's done, hold her accountable of course, but saying she's this evil terrible person is exactly what Alphys feared people thinking of her, which is what caused her to not tell the truth when she should have.
As someone who also has near paralyzing "I can't fucking do anything right" disorder, I've found that the result of that is almost always "...then why should I do anything?" Alphys has had this enormous responsibility put on her, and because the experimentations resulted in the amalgamates, which were absolutely a failure, it's no surprise that Alphys just froze. She doesn't want to be seen as a terrible person, but with everything she's done, what else is she? Why, then, would she tell anyone about what she's done? Why would she want to be seen by anyone as a terrible person? Why go out at all?
Alphys doesn't feel like she deserves any of the few friends she has. Least of all Undyne, who is not only her best friend but someone who she begins to fall in love with. Alphys met Undyne when Alphys was on the verge of suicide, and Undyne unintentionally saved her. While I never realized her situation with Mettaton was like how it was said above, at the same time Mettaton has been shown to be very egocentric, so Alphys' ideas that he'd just leave her as soon as he could wasn't completely unfounded. Alphys doesn't feel like she deserves any of her friends which causes her to do more bad things, feeding into her perception of herself. It is a very toxic negative feedback loop.
However it is something that Alphys truly doesn't want. Emotions are rarely logical. They can drive us to do things we don't truly want to do. Helping Alphys break out of her negative feedback loop, making peace with what she's done, and telling the truth about what she's done, is quite literally essential to completing the true pacifist route. What I think a lot of people forget is that the true pacifist route isn't just about being nice to everyone, it's about helping people fix the problems they have with themselves. Alphys is the person in need of this help the most due to how fucked up her situation is.
I'm so sick of people entirely dismissing Alphys as a character because of a one-dimensional view of her. Defining her as just "good" or "bad" is a childish way of thinking about people in general. A character with the same development as Alphys is... Kratos, from God of War. [I WILL BE MENTIONING GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK SPOILERS SO BE WARNED] In the old games he did so many genuinely evil things. The rage he felt after being tricked into killing his own wife and daughter, and not being able to get rid of any guilt after years, manifested in him completely destroying the Greek pantheon and thousands if not millions of lives along with it. In the new games Kratos still feels the terrible guilt of what he's done and hides it from everyone, even his own new son. The new God of War games are about him dealing with the guilt and belief that he's just a monster, and at the end of Ragnarok he sees a mural of the future where he is worshiped as a savior and rebuilder of the Norse realms, and he almost cries over it. At the end, Kratos feels like he was redeemed for what he has done and feels like he finally got the peace in his mind that the lack of caused him to become a monster in the first place. Kratos himself even has a quote that fits perfectly: "There is no making things right... only better than they were.". Alphys might not be able to make things truly right, but she has done the best she can to make them better than they were.
Alphys is a genuinely nuanced character and I love her for it. All of her flaws and actual realistic emotions are what make me so passionate about her (and Undyne). All of us fell in love with Undertale because it's more than just a silly earthbound inspired rpg. It is a game with real dilemmas that can't just be perfectly solved, and Alphys' character is the best example of this. If Kratos can have forgiveness for everything he has done, then can Alphys too.
Hey idk if honourable mentions via asks are still a thing (if they are and/or you find this ask to be too long) but godDAMN Alphys Undertale should've been in this I really regret missing the submission period
Okay so Alphys is like, a mess??? Like, I don't know how to explain it all so I think I'll get a previous writing of mine that explains most of the deal with her (the True Lab stuff isn't explained but that is a Whole Mess that would make this 8 paragraph-long ask even longer):
Context: I made a comment mentioning people hating on Undertale characters after appearing to express an enjoyment for a character that I like, someone asked me to rant about it, and I did, making a third of my analysis about Alphys (the rest was about Asgore, who's on the competition, and Toriel, whose hate is fairly minor compared to the others):
"I said it a couple times that Alphys is the least popular character in the game, and it's by a landslide. Why? Well, there are a few reasons, mainly the irredeemable crime of being annoying, because Toby Fox didn't think it through fully and made it so that the Texts in Hotland and the CORE repeated after each death and replay, so you're forced to see the exact same jokes every time you die to literally anything.
That's just the main reason, though, we still have to talk about her manipulation and compulsive lying! She manipulates Frisk through the areas where she's present in a way to act as a Cool Supporting Character, deliberately delays Mettaton's Gender-Affirming Surgery body finalization because she's afraid of losing her only friend, and makes small white lies to Undyne so she can seem cooler to her. These are the main issues, and seem to come from a place of bad mental health and some sort of mental disorder, but a lot of people really dislike her just because of that and then proceed to tell Undyne that Anime is real not to hurt her feelings despite that being a dick move to Alphys because it forces her to say that AGAIN WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.
There's also the apparent incompetence of her actions in the True Lab but honestly those are like 5 cans of worms that I Do Not Want To Get Into, so basically a lot of people misinterpret Catty and Bratty's dialogue in a way that makes it seem like Alphys lied to Asgore to get the job, but that's a completely baseless assumption, and considering how Mettaton works and what was asked of her I don't think it makes much sense.
The issue here is that people are dunking on Alphys's questionable actions when Asgore has done much worse, and then completely missing the point of her character. It's annoying and pretty much omnipresent in the fandom, with a particularly bad case of it being in this video, that calls out the fandom's mistreatment of Asgore and then proceeds to literally call stuff that Alphys didn't do, or was forced to do, out, like lying to get her job (again, not true), or not warning anyone about Flowey (she was being manipulated by him). It's a huge mess that comes from a gameplay annoyance but turned into something way bigger."
Idk if she should qualify due to most of the feelings towards her being fully negative, but eh Mineta did and I'm yet to see someone who genuinely enjoys him :P
Tbh I had no idea Alphys was so controversial or so hated. Though I’ve only played Undertale once so I know I missed stuff
