Clover wasn’t a big time reader, but ever since he met a dusty crow and a naughty crow who encouraged him to brush up on his fairytales and his folk lore, he started to read more books.

but. Clover is a bit of a romantic. he’ll read anything, but mostly enjoys the fictional romance novels. he reads a whole variety of romance. fantasy, modern, sports, gay and straight romance etc.

he’s a big fan of soulmates, enemies to lovers, and pinning. but he much prefers the sports romance, especially hockey.

he’s come full circle from the cocky jock he was during his Atlas Academy days to now reading at night before bed or when he’s sipping at his tea like an old man.

👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their “ghostly experiences”, if any?

Renee has two ghost Pokémon! So safe to say she believes in them. She also believes in plain spirits, souls that have yet to move on for one reason or another. She talks to them sometimes, if she thinks her Haunter or Rotom are sensing one nearby.

If there's a loud noise in her home, she often uses the "oh, that's just grandpa!" line, since he was the one that taught her most of what she knows about photography and such. She likes to think he's nearby, watching over her

🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?

Her first camera was an older model gifted to her by her grandfather. She takes it with her everywhere, scours out film for the camera, and uses it sparingly, for photos she thinks are very important. She's taken special wedding photographs with it, as well as reunions. Any photos she thinks her grandpa would like.

If she were to lose the camera. . . it'd be hard to get her out of the funk. It'd be like losing her grandfather all over again, only with the added guilt of losing the thing he gave her, the thing that was central to their bonding and to the person Renee grew up to be.

(She also has a stuffed toy tucked away in her bed, for snuggles. She got it as a child and refuses to sleep without it if she can manage)

🍀 CLOVER - do they believe in luck? are they lucky?

Sparingly. She doesn't exactly go out of her way to give herself good luck or ward off bad, but she knocks on wood (or the heads of virgins lol) to not jinx herself.

She also tends to mutter "watch the birdie" whenever she takes photos, whether intentional or not. It's not really a luck thing, but she does it to ensure whether she photographs is facing her and such

✂️ SCISSORS - what is the "last straw" for them to cut someone out of their life? how easily do they let go of people?

Renee struggles to let people go. She gets attached easily, and wants to be friends with everyone. But sometimes that doesn’t work out, for whatever reason. It takes quite a lot of time for Renee to accept that, however

It’s not until she gets some outside intervention, or the person does something unacceptable like hurting her friends or becoming particularly outrageous (violence or words or whatever else) that she finally cuts them out

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

All of Renee’s Pokémon share the bed with her. Haunter is particularly shy and timid, so he likes to sleep while holding Renee’s hands

It’s particularly frustrating for any partners that also want to join in cuddles

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

Valentine’s Day makes Wardd anxious. He’s always worried someone is gonna surprise confess to him, even though no one ever has before and it’s incredibly unlikely. And he has no idea how to handle that other than to panic. Outside of Valentine’s Day, people have confessed feelings for Wardd once or twice but it was while he was working his job at an Asura Maid Cafe™️ so it didn’t feel all that special. Mostly just weird customer service interactions. Wardd has never confessed to anyone before either, always getting too nervous and pschying himself out.

🍀 CLOVER - do they believe in luck? are they lucky?

Wardd does believe in luck in a very asura way. He believes that actions will cause small ripples in the Eternal Alchemy that can either pay off in the future or screw you over. A bit like the butterfly effect. He’s got a number of small good luck charms and rituals but honestly he doesn’t have the best luck.

🎷 SAXOPHONE - do they play any instruments? are they any good at it?

Not really. He has a sibling who take piano lessons for a while and so learned a song or two from them and then picked up a few things about guitar playing from a skater friend of his. But he’s got no real training or skill.

I don’t like sleeping in so I wake up around 8 usually but I stay up p late most nights so.... 6-8 ish I guess?? I wanna start waking up earlier tho, it’s just hard in the winter and especially in the holidays

Clover: do you believe in luck/carry any good luck charms?

Nope! I used to, though. I mean it’s one of those things that I never really believed in but I thought was cool so I did it anyway lol. I found this THING when I was in first grade, still no idea what it is, but I made it my lucky charm for years. I do not have a picture of it specifically but this is a pic of my treasure chest from our old house, so it’s in here somewhere (also a drawing that I made age c.12... big mood but also proof I have always been a closeted goth 😂)

Smh, I really thought random pieces of wire, ribbons, acorns, beads and safety pins were The Shit™ lmao. And I can’t even say that it’s because I was little, I had this when I was 12/13! I would make charms out of stuff like this when I was bored, and put them on my desk lamp or drawer handles. I also made dolls out of red yard and used them as a lucky charm/voodoo doll combo (remember being bored and having an insatiable urge to make something??? Damn)
