"god, 'm so tired."

oscar hadn't even bothered to change, still sporting his bright orange - no, sorry, papaya - mclaren shirt as he made his way over to where you were sat on the couch.

his feet dragged across the floor, and though he was smiling, you could tell he was absolutely exhausted. in the four years you'd known him, oscar had never been the most energetic person, and you could tell that the long media days that came with being a formula one driver were beginning to get to him.

with an understanding pout, you pulled back your blanket opened your arms, mumbling a c'mere. a small 'oof' escaped you as oscar flopped into your arms, all but collapsing on top of you as his head found its way into the crook of your neck.

"long day?" you asked, despite already knowing the answer.

you brought one hand up to his hair, gently running your fingers through the strands as the other drew shapes against the skin of his bicep.

"they're trying to kill me," oscar responded, his words muffled. "i haven't stopped since this morning."

"y'poor thing."

you were half teasing, but still felt a pang of sympathy for your boyfriend. you could imagine it was draining to do a day full of media, having to be full of energy and responsive at all times to avoid rumours of being 'rude' or 'boring'.

after a few moments of you holding him, oscar began to relax under your touch. he lifted his head, brown eyes swirling pools of honey as they scanned your features fondly. he pressed a soft, chaste kiss to your lips before returning his head to the crook of your neck, pressing another kiss to the skin he found there.

if you didn't know any better, you'd think oscar was trying to merge his body with your own, climb under your skin so he'd never be separated from you again.

but you knew your boyfriend far too well, and cuddles were the quickest way for him to bounce back from a drained social battery. you were more than happy to nurse him back to health, even if your arms eventually went numb underneath the weight of his body.

cuddling oscar was an honour you would cherish, and as his breathing evened out above you, you felt like the luckiest person on earth.

playful bickering had filled the room for the better part of five minutes as you practically ransacked your room in pursuit of jess' missing jacket. it was here somewhere, but where, you had no idea.

it was almost frustrating. your room wasn't even that big, and unless jess had gone out of his way to hide it, there was no reason the search should have turned into an all out scavenger hunt.

"this is worse than that time kirk lost all of those eggs," you groaned, pushing yourself to stand after searching underneath your bed.

"so dramatic," jess quipped, though his search in your wardrobe also proved futile.

"what did you even do with the thing?" you questioned, unable to hold back your laughter as even the most odd places were found empty.

"i hadn't seen you in four days, i'm sorry that my priority was-" jess cut himself off, dark brows furrowed as he scanned something on your desk.

"what are these?"

after a moment, jess held up his hand, a few loose sheets of paper clasped between his fingers and confusion written across his face. you, too, were confused for a moment before you realised.

"oh, uh," you scrambled for words, feeling your cheeks heat up as you realised exactly what he'd found. "they're nothing."

smart.

"nothing?" jess repeated, clearly amused. "well, 'nothing' looks an awful lot like some poetry. pretty good poetry, by the way. you write these?"

there was no point trying to deny it. not when he was looking at you with a slightly crooked smile and a soft gaze reserved only for your company.

"i guess, yeah." you shrugged, still embarrassed. "they're nothing special, scribbles, really."

"no? they seem awfully romantic," he teased, though there was something else behind his words. "are they... y'know. are they about me?"

you could have laughed at his question, the answer being so obvious, but the moment between you both seemed so vulnerable, a bubble that could easily be popped by even one wrong word.

"of course they are."

with great care, jess placed the sheets back down onto your desk and made his way over to you. warm hands found your own, lifted until they were held between yours and jess' frames. he gave you another gentle smile before his lips were on yours.

each movement of his mouth was poetry in its own way, conveying every small thought and feeling jess wished to tell you. every sigh was a confession, the trace of his tongue against your lips his pen upon paper.

the search for jess' jacket could wait. jess had found something far more precious.

you're woken by your boyfriend shifting underneath you, the tired mumbles he emits rumbling deep in his chest. despite the bleariness in your eyes, you force them open, coming face to face with the sheepish smile of charles.

"sorry, chéri," he whispers, lifting a hand to smooth some hair back from your face. "go back to sleep."

you ignore him and push yourself up onto your elbow, rubbing lazily at your eyes in an attempt to remove some of the sleep obstructing your vision.

"mm, what time is it?"

charles has to stifle a laugh at the way your words slur together, your voice clearly thick with sleep. to anyone else, it would be impossible to understand what you had even said, but charles has become fluent in your 'i've-just-woken-up' voice.

"about five," he begins, unable to stop himself from bursting into laughter at your distressed expression. "that's why i told you to go back to sleep. i've got practice, anyways, so it's not as if you're missing out on precious time with me," he teases.

ah, there it was. possibly the only major pitfall of dating one of gryffindor's best quidditch players: the early morning practices.

when you'd first started dating charles, you'd tried your hardest to be up and ready, walking with him to the quidditch pitch and sitting in the stands to cheer him on. the sun would be barely rising, painting charles in its warm glow yet simultaneously providing zero heat to your freezing form.

over time, charles had assured you that there was no need for you to drag yourself out of his dorm room at such stupid hours of the day. he would see you at breakfast, and would tell you all about his practice, and you could catch up on the sleep he knew you held so dear to your heart.

a part of you wants to protest, go along to one of his practices for old-times sake, but the other burnt out, seventh-year-in-desperate-need-of-sleep part of you is victorious. charles soothing caress of your arms does nothing to aid your motivation, either.

he presses a kiss to your forehead as you lay back down, snuggling into the part of the bed where he was laying only moments ago. it's warm, still smelling of him, and you smile tiredly at him as your eyes begin to close once more.

"there y'go," he smiles. "have a good sleep, chéri. i'll be back before you know it."

i feel like you know a decent amount but i love red who would i be without a good red lip, i love music, and i’m very extroverted. I love to meet new people especially at parties, talking to strangers at the store etc. i am more on the independent side but i like reminders that my s/o and friends are still there. gender pref. male

the red lipstick is his obsession i swear . will proudly walk around a party with your lipstick stain on his cheek n jaw, it's like a badge of honour for him at this point. he's careful that he doesn't smudge it onto your face, though. he claims he can't ruin your pretty face, after all.

felix is so drawn to your extroverted nature too! it was one of the first things about you that really stood out to him and made him fall for you. he likes knowing that he can let you do your own thing at parties and relax, knowing you're out there having fun and making new friends.

he also loves hearing about the people you meet on a day to day basis ! met someone at the store ? he's asking all about it with wide , interested eyes . made a friend on campus ? he's over the moon for you !

felix doesn't really have a specific music taste , so half of the time things he listens to are just bands and songs he picked up from you . venetia will ask when he started listening to a certain artist and he just shrugs , saying you put him onto it

'kay, i'm an introvert which means if i'm not comfortable around people i will be very awkward, VERY, and leaving the house drains me so even when i have fun drinking and partying i'm gonna need weeks of solitude after

i'm a blabber mouth when i'm comfortable, i work in marketing so i'm obviously annoying

i can't cook, and i like girly sim games and pink. my school and college mates got frustrated with me a lot because i never studied and always got the best grades

the more and more i read , the more my mind was just screaming james . i think you two would make the perfect pair ! james is more than extroverted enough for the both of you , though he understands the importance of letting you recharge your social battery and doesn't press you to go out constantly . he's more than happy to just chill with you if you need minimal company , and he treasures every single outing with you !

there is nothing james loves more than when you finally get comfortable with him , and never shut up . to him , his favourite sound in the whole world is your voice , so he's more than happy for you to just talk to him about whatever , whenever , for as long as you like , and he'll return your energy !

you don't need to worry about not knowing how to cook - james has got it covered ! it's thanks to euphemia, sure, but james has a few trusty recipes that he's absolutely mastered , so he makes sure to cook for you every now and again to show you he cares

james loves the fact that you work from home , even if he has to restrain himself from being a pest . he'll pop in every hour or so to check how you're doing , often bringing you a new drink if he sees you're running low !

how clumsy you are is something so endearing to james , but he still tsks every time he sees a new bruise on your skin . he gently brushes his thumb over it , looking up at you and asking what the bloody hell you did this time , but he insists on kissing it better every . single . time .
