Geegee spent her days observing people or the forest itself. That was what the days between meeting new people had become, anyway. Geegee had come to greatly appreciate the little peace and quiet she had to herself. Anyhow, in her little bits of free time, the girl had caught bits and pieces of conversations from the people living in the city, piecing together bits of information. And while she wasn’t quite afraid of the city anymore, she had found herself liking the village-like outskirts of the city. With all her cuts and scrapes, the girl had found herself visiting the Bimarstan quite often. Not that she would go in, though. It was mostly to pick up some bandages for herself when she was out and about, or maybe to help the patients and doctors outside. Sometimes, however, Geegee could swear she could catch a familiar(and scary) lock of pale blue hair through the doorway. She was a bit of a regular, visiting at least once every week.
This time, as Geegee found herself visiting the hospital once more, waving shyly to the interning and not interning doctor(s) as she rushed up. It was a wonder that in all of her visits, they all hadn’t once questioned her odd appearance. Perhaps that was why she liked the place too much. Shoving some new band-aids from Golshan into her bag, the intern doctor clasped her hands together pleadingly, asking her to go into the building to help feed some patients medication and give them some water. She didn’t mind helping out really, so the girl nodded eagerly, taking a dosage of liquid medication and another mug of water. Okay! She’d go in!
What’s the worst that could happen, that lock of blue hair in the building would belong to Natalia and she’d have to help Natalia with her medication? Pft. Of course not!
Geegee walked into the building and into the room Golshan had directed her to(right by the door), opening the door after a light knock. Patient on the left… Patient on the left.. Geegee walked over to the bed on the far left, in the back, almost, passing by a man fast asleep on the bed. He looked quite battered up, actually, he doesn't have an arm..! Geegee spotted a prosthetic arm lying at the foot of his bed. Wow, what happened to him?! Passing by the curtain that divided the two, the girl prepared herself to tell the patient she was going to need to give them their medication- Geegee’s jaw dropped. Maman Malikata, save her. The girl couldn’t find it in herself to scream, her throat drying up as she gaped at the woman(equally as battered) before her.
It was Natalia.
Because of course it had to be Natalia.

"Bye Mama, bye mom, bye Auntie!" Chike exclaimed, waving bye to his mom's and auntie, a bag on his shoulder. Ever since his Auntie Josefina (who was originally his real mom???) told him he had a half-sister (how does she know this??) somewhere in Sumeru. Though she had not a lot of exact details, Auntie Josefina gave him the letters that she and a friend mailed to each other. She also gave him some information about her friend- and hopefully it'll help him on his journey to find the lady. "Bye Panda! Bye Coco!" Chike kneeled down to pet Panda, a tuxedo kitten he had gotten a few months prior and then patting Coco's head. Coco was a small Qucusaur, a baby to be exact. "I'm going to miss you guys, keep Panda safe, okay Coco?" He chuckled softly as the Qucusaur gave a small roar.
He got up from his kneeled position and left, as they all had been surrounding the entrance of Natlan to Sumeru's desert. "Love you guys!! See you guys soon!! I promise to visit!!" Chike shouted as he jogged, watching their figures becoming pixels in the distance. It was going to be a long journey.. For exactly two days and sixteen hours, he had been away from Natlan and in the desert. Chike was always been curious of the desert since it didn't look like the books said it did.
"Huff.. huff.." Chike pressed his hands on his knees as he crouched, panting from the run he just had to do from escaping some eremites. He didn't really want to fight to drain his energy more. A sigh left his lips, soon getting up from his crouched position to finally enter the rainforest. "Big trees.." He muttered, looking down at a map of a city his auntie gave him. "I guess I'm far from that place..?" He mumbled to himself, not expecting to encounter anyone, so he just started walking towards (what he'd like to assume) the way to Sumeru's city. "I can't believe Sumeru, Fontaine, Liyue and Natlan is so close to eachother! It's so cool!" Chike had started speaking to himself, since the silence was deafening to him.
[][]
I hope you enjoy,,, :33
It was a rare occasion that Geegee ever dared to step foot outside of the rainforest. Meaning crossing the border to Liyue, or stepping into the desert. Yeah, no. Geegee wouldn’t survive a moment in the desert. Nonetheless, she had been all over the forest, really, though she spent most of her time by the City. It was quite a wonder that the girl had even decided to even TRY to step foot towards the desert this time. She didn’t even dare go close to the small trading village of sorts that was centered on the border of the desert and rainforest. Caravan Ribat, is what it’s called. Or, well, that’s what the Kalpalata Lotuses(No, not the Ishtar, the actual flowers.) told her.
Sitting on the branch of a tree, Geegee watched as sand blew in the distance while gazing at the giant bark(was it bark?) wall. Also, Caravan Ribat was nearby as well, so. Geegee watched as people went in and out of Caravan Ribat as well, though, AWAY from Caravan Ribat, was the figure of a man stopping after running from around the Wall of Samiel. The girl watched quizzically as he stopped to crouch slightly, his hands on his knees. Man, what is that guy doing?! Geegee watched as he then straightened his posture, propping his hands on his hips as he gazed at the rainforest, seeming as if to speak.. To himself. Er.. Is that normal..? Don’t humans usually just.. Talk in their heads when there’s nobody to hear them..? Even Ishtar do that!
Leaning from her post atop the tree branch, Geegee watched as the man who was perhaps about thirty meters away’s expression melted into that of pride. Well, reasonable enough, if her assumption was correct. Said assumption being that he had just crossed the vast desert. She’d be pretty proud of herself too if she could make it all the way across, really. Squinting at the man to try and see better, the girl let go of the branch, moving her hands as to put them above her eyebrows to peer at him.
Ah.
That wasn’t really a good decision of her to make.
With a loud cry, the girl tumbled off her branch, falling face first into the dirt below. It was a lot drier than dirt deeper in the rainforest, a small cloud of dusty dirt forming from the impact of her fall. Yikes.

The Descendants of Nabu Malikata, the Ishtar, have this belief, and it’s quite similar to that of reincarnation, really. Like how a flower will eventually wilt and wither away, from the same plant can a flower bloom forth once more. It’s quite poetic, really! Or, well, that’s what Geegee thought, anyway.
Thats actually entirely unrelated, though. Geegee just thought that randomly out of nowhere. Well. Maybe not? When she met Airi, she admittedly had this… feeling of having seen her somewhere before. But that’s not really important. Perhaps one of these days she’d see someone she may have met in a prior bloom, yes?
Tumblr media
Anyway, After her encounter with Miss Jien, she found herself much more at ease at the thought of going into Sumeru City. ..However.. Actually trying to set foot into the city was a different case. Nonetheless, the girl was in no way opposed to going back into the lively city, having finally been able to see and appreciate it when she wasn’t scared to death of the residents.
Crouching behind a bush(falling back into old habits, aren’t you? Silly girl.), Geegee watched as trading caravans and Sumpter Beasts(she recently learned what they were called, using her spare time touching Kalpalata Lotuses to get little fragments of information she could use to not make a total fool of herself.) went in and out of the city gates. Watching intently, Geegee observed the people with absolute focus, not noticing the figure who had since approached. Feeling the gentle brush of fabric against her arm, the girl flinched, eyes wide with disbelief and surprise. Squeezing her eyes shut with embarrassment, Geegee held her head in her hands in distress.
“I-I’M SORRY!!!!!” She sputtered, tugging her braids as she apologized frantically. “I-I didn’t mean to be rude!!” she rambled on, looking anywhere except the person she was even apologizing to.. AHH!!!! HOW COULD SHE EVEN LOOK THIS PERSON IN THE EYE!!!! THERE WAS NO WAY SHE COULD DO THAT!!! She’s been caught being pathetic! There is no absolute way she’ll let herself face the absolute EMBARRASSMENT she’s been caught in. Absolutely NOT!!! Continuing to apologize incessantly, Geegee looked like she was about to burst into tears. AHHHHHHH!!!! SHE TOLD HERSELF JUST RECENTLY SHE NEEDED TO SHAPE IT UP!!! WHY IS SHE LIKE THIS!!!
What a disaster.

“███ ████,” is what he said. But for some odd reason, Geegee could not hear him. And although whatever he had said remained as a lingering thought in her mind, she couldn’t quite place her finger on what had happened.
But alas, maybe her judgment  had been decided on giving the hatted man a  chance at perhaps a friendship—or at the least acquaintanceship, but the earth ebbed at her feet, invisible vines stretching across her limbs. The girl could not stay.
It’s not safe, she thinks, new thoughts seeping into her brain like a parasite. She did not think this moments earlier. Where had this thought come from? Nonetheless, this new belief sang a song to her that felt like home(a superficial feeling, at the least), a song that pulled her into its sickeningly sweet embrace. So she ran.
May it so be that the dirt absorbed what she quite knew, the encounter no more than a blur in her mind. Jagged pieces clawing at the back of her head, nails against a chalkboard, grating and frustrating. Grasping small details she could, but the last parts of her encounter she could not fully wrap her head around, for the future inlaid in the threads of fate have been rewoven.
Perhaps in another timeline could it have been that the girl made friends with ████████████. However, it seems as though, as fate is driven off its course, reality is no longer what it perhaps was meant to be. Goodbye, ██████████, for the drifter’s ballad remains to be unheard.

With all her time on the surface, Geegee has deduced a singular thing: The surface’s healers are terrifying.
Scary. Intimidating. Any sort of adjective along those lines. Already, the fact that she has deduced ANYTHING is surprising, but nonetheless the advancement is welcomed. Anyway, let Geegee list it off all the terrifying healers she’s met. …Natalia, for one. All Geegee can say about her is that when you offer to install mechanical parts into somebody’s brain, they will most likely be scared of you. Golshan, for two! She’s not very much as scary as, say, Natalia, but she holds an intimidating energy that Geegee can’t help but feel skittish around. Even if she is nice and gives her band-aids… But she’s much more scary to think about after she broke the vial and violated health regulations. Or whatever.
Nonetheless, Geegee’s point is that she is scared of Teyvat’s healers(referred to as doctors or nurses or.. whatever..), and she doesn’t quite think her opinion will be changing anytime soon. So, it’s no surprise when she finally starts to fear the wrath of Golshan (and Natalia, since she’s staying there. An unpleasant fact, by the way), she decides she won’t be going ANYWHERE near both the Bimarstan and Sumeru City for a while. Sumeru City, just because the Bimarstan is on the outskirts of Sumeru City, so if she wanted to go back to the city, she’d have to pass through the area where the Bimarstan is, anyway. Even worse, she probably would’ve been able to run into Golshan… Not happening!
So, Geegee resolves that she’ll avoid any potential surface-dwelling-healer she’ll come to see… Not that she has much of a defining trait to associate with surface dweller healers, but since the Ishtar healers she was quite familiar with tended to have Sumeru Rose Blooms and carry around Sumeru Roses anyway, she swears to avoid Sumeru-Rose-purple colored hair or anybody just randomly carrying around satchels full of Sumeru Roses.
However, even with the indigo haired lady she’s come across today, Geegee doesn’t shy away because of her dangerously purple toned hair. Instead, she shies away because of the intimidating and cold aura that radiates off her skin. Like how a human may recoil because of a spider, Geegee now recoils from this woman, afraid for a stupid reason. Because being afraid of spiders is stupid. They’re not going to hurt you… Except the big, web shooting ones in ruins. Those hurt.
It was rude(or apparently not, since Miss Saiguu said it wasn’t), she knows, to stare at people from behind bushes or trees or whatever. But technically, she was people watching! And she certainly was watching this indigo haired woman finger the petals of a Sumeru Rose delicately. That probably should’ve sent off the “surface-dwelling-healer”-alarm bells in her head, y’know, with the combination of nearly-purple hair and the current interaction with Sumeru Roses, but… If Geegee has learned anything in the several months she’s been on the surface, it’s probably to look at the world with an open mind.
...Whether Geegee can do that or not is up for debate.

@shards-of-the-lost guess who 👁️👁️🙏
When you're passing time in the rainforest, mostly to avoid a scary doctor lady(ladies, perhaps, since Golshan too, actually), it's not very hard to start thinking of old friends. For Geegee, she quite so agrees with the sentiment. For today, as she is laying on the grass and kicking her feet as she watches ants try to carry little pieces of discarded meat skewers, Geegee can't help but think of Jien.
Picking up a small twig, Geegee pokes at the ants, fighting the urge to knock the chunk of meat from out of the horde's grasp. "Hm.. I wonder where Miss Jien is at now!" she mumbles to herself, poking at an ant that's not in sync with the rest of its fellow ants. Geegee watches as it tries to go back with the group, only for it to be ignored or be blocked by some rock or leaf, or whatever. "Uuhh.. If I'm trying to avoid the City right now, I probably won't see Miss Jien for a while.." she mumbles, thinking out loud.
When the thought finally sets in, Geegee eyes widen slightly, the girl rolling over on the grass, her hands covering her face. "What?? No!! I like hanging on with Miss Jien... I want to go see Miss Jien.." she whines to the air, shaking her hands dramatically. It is similar to how the average teenage girl is stereotyped to kick her feet over a love interest. However, Geegee is not doing any of that except kicking her feet, and even then, the reasoning is that she has to choose between encountering Natalia or Golshan again..
"Noooooo...." Geegee sighed with genuine defeat as she kicked her feet against the dirt. "So my options are go look for Miss Jien in the scary city and run into Natalia probably before I find Miss Jien and get my brains exchanged mechanical parts and Golshan finds me either after or during and she yells at me for breaking the vial and violating rules or something.. or stay in the forest by myself..." she mumbles before yelling again to the empty space with despair. "No!!!!!! Both options suck!!! No..." Geegee groaned.
Poor thing, honestly.

Lesser Lord Kusanali was someone Geegee had respect for. She never understood why anyone would call the archon a ‘Lesser Lord’, really. You would need to have a ‘Greater Lord’ for that! Always a good question to ponder on, really. But nonetheless, even among the secondary children of Nabu Malikata(The Ishtar, the first being the Jinn), the Dendro archon was quite respected overall. In fact, there was a whole sect devoted to the archon ! Specifically that of those with Viparya Blooms, of course. Most of the reason why some Viparya’s would want to journey to the surface to begin with would be because of the desire to see Buer! Some Ishtar took devotion reeeeal seriously.
Geegee wasn’t one of the Viparya devotees. She respected the archon, sure, but it’s not like she KNEW her! With Maman Malikata, every Ishtar had a connection with her that surpassed just having her blood in their veins! More as to question why she even had been sent up onto the surface in the first place.. Oh yeah! Hadn’t that er.. What was his name again… Whatever! Didn’t Lesser Lord Kusanali send that one guy out to go look for scrolls? Right. Yeah. Unimportant, however, as Geegee wasn’t quite intrigued as to why the Archon would need some ratty pieces of paper..
Nonetheless, as Geegee wandered around the rainforest, she was reminded of that of the beginning of her journey up on the surface. Her eyes began to water at that. She STILL missed home and she was NOT making any secret of it. Hey! And that’s the tunnel she came out of! The one that can open up to the Ishtar and lead them back down home! Geegee stepped forward, mesmerized by the whirl of vines and foliage covering up the entrance. As she looked down at it with nostalgic eyes, the girl longed to reach out and whisper a string of words in her first language, watch the vines open up before her, and run down the long winding passage to be welcomed home by her grandma and friends.
Something, however, stopped the girl, making her hand freeze and gut fill with rejection. More accurately, a feeling that told her she could not go home quite yet. And why? Geegee had no clue.

Geegee did not have a good relationship with the word ‘Fatui’. It reminded her of Natalia. Biiiiiig yikes. Natalia said she was one of those, right? Something like that. Geegee wasn’t quite sure. Her original encounter with Natalia had been absolutely terrifying. Seeing her at the Bimarstan? Yeah, even worse. Waaay worse. Geegee’s going to need to take a LOOONG break from helping out at the Bimarstan or even coming REMOTELY close to the place. Ugh.. Just the thought of the woman made her head hurt. She’s just so.. so scary…!!! Thinking back on it, the girl was embarrassed she really hadn’t just… made a run for it when she had the chance, really. But to be fair, her legs had felt as though they were cemented into the ground. ..Or tiled floor, anyway.
Nonetheless, Geegee sat by a stream, watching as the moonlight prodded open a Nilotpala Lotus, gazing at the flower. Man, she couldn’t even look at flowers without being reminded of her home! That’s kinda pathetic. Is it??? Most people aren’t this, like,.. sad!! Well. Her BLOOMING was that of a MOURNING FLOWER, after all. It’s kinda in the name! Mourning? Flower? Flower that mourns? Unimportant, however. She wasn’t really mourning, it was more of reminiscence.
Letting out a loud sigh, the girl quickly clasped her hands together and squeezed her eyes shut. ’Maman Malikata,’ She thought. ‘The surface is so weird!!! Half of the people I’ve m- no, probably more than that! More than half of the people I’ve met are super scary!!! And for what?!? The surface is too much.. I want to go home, honestly. Please watch over us— Me above, and your children underground!!!’ Geegee’s thoughts began to bleed into vocal statement, the girl subconsciously mumbling under her breath, a sound quite silent, but easy enough for sharp ears to hear.
Any normal person who would be randomly passing by at such an odd hour would certainly think of her as crazy, to say the least. Or maybe not, but it’s up to interpretation.

A cluster of vines opens up, the giant root of a tree retracting from its resting place to reveal a hole descending further into the ground. Though dark, the faint light of a cluster of fireflies could be seen approaching towards the surface. A girl most definitely no older than 15 trudged up, peering at the lively rainforest with an eager, excited smile. The horns atop her head vaguely familiar, perhaps reminding you and I of Nabu Malikata, or even Nilou, the dancer and her headdress.
Will you watch on the sidelines as her story unfolds? Or will you find yourself becoming apart of the turning pages?

Oh. my. ARCHONS. That was SO embarrassing. While not quite so afraid of the city at this point, the girl knew she'd never show her face ever again because of SHEER EMBARRASSMENT. Nonetheless, it wasn’t very long before she noticed the new face. GREAT GOODNESS MOTHER MALIKATA. DID SHE FALL INFRONT OF A STRANGER(again, probably.. but the main consensus is looking stupid in front of strangers, but either is just as bad.)?!
Blinking stupidly from her place on the ground Geegee’s brows furrowed. She was clearly recounting the events of what had just happened in her head. And she was, actually. ..Anyway, her knees were, surprisingly, unscathed. So at least all she had to worry about was the embarrassment of falling in front of a ton of strangers, right? WRONG. She had to deal with the embarrassment that was being called “LITTLE ONE”.
“...L..Little one..?” What. Was she really that little?? GEEGEE WAS NOT LITTLE???? Was she? “Uh.” Geegee was appalled, really. Does she recoil with contempt and distaste, or does she CRUMPLE ONTO THE GROUND WITH EMBARRASSMENT AND SELF CONSCIOUSNESS? Maybe the first one. THIS PERSON DOESN'T EVEN LOOK MUCH OLDER THAN HER!!!!! YOU CAN'T CALL SOMEONE "little one" IF YOU SEEM TO BE ABOUT THE SAME AG-
She decides on choosing the former. “U-uh.. Yeah! Sorry.. D-did I trip in your way? O-or.. ?? I would. Uh. Really appreciate the help, yeah.” Awkwardly taking the hand of the new person, Geegee staggered to her feet, her face contorting at a small sting in her knee. Her skin was scratched, but luckily she hadn’t started bleeding.. Yet. “U-uh, but yes. Thanks! …For the help, I mean.” Geegee averted her eyes, darting from corner to corner. Dear Maman Malikata, please tell her no one else saw her fall. PLEEEEEEEEEASE-
Geegee was feeling a little courageous lately. Having been about(or something of being around, or whatever) the city once with Jien and another time with Miss Saiguu, Geegee felt as though she could go up to the city on her own. It was the atmosphere that drew the girl back, she fears. It’s magnetic, if she may. The hustle and bustle, the crowded streets, the aroma… It had begun to feel more like home to Geegee rather than her first impression of it being terrifying. So, Geegee went into the city.
It was fine! The Eremites(Were they Eremites? They donned green instead of red, unlike the desert people that Geegee associated the name with. She would have to search through another Kalpalata Lotus for that one.) had seen her lurking around many times before, and she had worked up the courage to talk to the guard, so nice! They knew who she was, so Geegee was about free to go wherever she’d like, probably. Maybe. Meaning like, go in or out of the city.
Walking through the city streets with newfound confidence, Geegee felt pride swell through her chest. HURRAH!! SHE’S DOING IT!! SHE’S GOING THROUGH THE CITY FINE!! YES!!!!! …Or she was, until her foot got caught in the crevice of a stone. Ow. Stumbling, Geegee let out a yelp, desperately trying to stagger her way up and to not hurt herself. … And unsurprisingly, it did not work. The Ishtar girl came tumbling to the ground.
So much for courage now.
AHH THROWS MY OC AT YOU FRIEND COLLECTING AGENDA
Toro walked the city streets, skipping around as they were wondering around the area. It was quite well-known to them already due to them well.. living in sumeru, obviously! But, it didn’t hurt to visit it every now and then.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for them, no new faces, just the same old same faces, same old crowds. just how they liked it! Just like a little one who was also roaming around the area.. which they haven’t seen, yet. They were also unsupervised, did not dare to utter a word to their brother nor Kaveh.. they liked sneaking out this way, it brought them some sort of excitement!
As they skipped along their path, they encountered a little one who seemed to be stuck! Did she need help..? Well it seemed so! They walked over to her, reaching a hand out.
“Need some help, little one?”

“Uh.. I don’t know.. Is it nor… IS IT NORMAL????” the girl bared her teeth awkwardly in the sort of unsure smile that didn’t curl upwards at the edges. ..If that makes sense at all. Geegee, as quickly as it came, dropped her weird smile, pursing her lips in anxious thought.
“A-anyway… N-no, I’m sure I wouldn’t get like.. An infection…!!!! It’s fine, really!! It’s just kind of annoying to start sapping all over the place!!!” Geegee shook her head frantically, waving her hands with denial of Chike’s statement. Sapping… Weird way to say something, isn’t it? But it does make sense, no? Haha! Get it! She bleeds sap(and a little bit of human blood, but unimportant.)! “Er… But anyway.. Would it be okay for me to take some for the … r..” she began, losing her train of thought before quickly regaining it. “The road. Right! C-can I take some for the road? If we part ways now. I think. Maybe. I dunno. I feel bad. Maybe I can help you look for your lady! Have you shown me that picture yet? I don’t think you have? Have you? I… I k-kinda forgot……..”
Geegee raised her hand to point at Chike’s pocket. “The picture you held up to my face and then put away! C..can I see it?”
“Uh… But yeah, I don’t. I don’t.. I-I don’t think I’d walk that far for some bandaids…” Geegee shuddered, narrowing her eyes with an exasperated frown. …Little did she know that she’d be willing to trek across the desert if it meant avoiding Natalia… Nonetheless, Geegee’s eyes widened at the sudden water bottle he held out to her. “W..wait, no, I can’t take this!! Not after you’ve just offered me some of your bandaids.. I-I’m fine, seriously!! Keep your water!!!!”
The girl’s mouth formed a small ‘o’. Oh yeeeeeeeeeeeah… “I think I’ve heard that before! The names of the nations, I mean!!!! I just don’t think I’ve ever.. Associated the names with the nations, I guess. And if someone directly told me, uh… I don’t think I was paying attention,” she nodded, listening intently to Chike. Okay, he was actually really nice. And was explaining things to her. Now Geegee felt really, really bad for having feelings of slight distaste against this guy. ..And he offered to give her band-aids!!! Really heavy on that one.
“A-anyway, thank you,” Geegee mumbled sheepishly. Ohhh wow, now it was really hitting her. She had been super rude to this guy and embarrassing(VERY heavy on ‘embarrassing.’) and he was offering to let her use his Archon band-aids… Geegee was a horrible person. “For offering to let me use your band-aids, I mean. I.. uh… I would really need that, actually! …I used to get band-aids from the Bimarstan, but uh…” Geegee stiffened, her face contorting with second hand embarrassment.. From recalling her first hand accounts of the things SHE had done.
“Uh… IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII kinda messed something up, and if I go back now…” Geegee envisions Golshan’s wrath. It is not good. Doctors are so serious up on the surface, it’s honestly terrifying! Golshan isn’t even a real doctor yet, and she’s already scary… “Yeah. Uh. I kinda just can’t go back and ask for band-aids anymore.” Also, Natalia  is a patient at the Bimarstan right now, isn’t she??? Hoooo boy. Just another reason to never go back to the Bimarstan ever again!!!
Shifting on her feet awkwardly as Chike laughs- no, wheezes at her joke, Geegee gets a little embarrassed. Her joke was NOT that funny… But she’s getting second hand embarrassment in the polite way, however, she barely suppresses her unimpressed expression. “Aha. Ha. …?”

Geegee looked at Chike, her expression a tad distrustful. Man.. was he trying to cover up his bad and objectively incorrect opinion..? ..Oh, well, it’s fine, she supposed. Unlike the hat guy, he at least seemed to be nicer. If that was anything to go off of. The young girl groaned, standing back up. She had scraped her knees.. Again. Man. And ow, by the way. Her kneecaps stung, a viscous sap-like substance seeping out slowly. Blood began to mix with the sap, forming little branch-seeming patterns in the small amber liquid. Thing.
“Uh.. N-no!... No. Being a-a… er… ‘Natlanian’ isn’t a bad thing! I think! I just. Didn’t know what that was. Oh. So Natlan is a place then. If you’re a ‘Natlanian.’” Geegee’s mouth was curved into a very, very upside down smile, the girl then crouching down again to pick at her knees. A softer pair of pink eyes darted to the man, who was now holding a bandaid out to the Ishtar. Geegee felt very bad, all of a sudden. “Er.. T-.. Thank you..!” she said slowly, reaching out to take the band-aid from Chike, peering at the Archons on the thing before gently placing it on her knee.
Standing up slowly, Geegee brushed off her kaunake, clearing her throat awkwardly. “Uh.. Sorry for uhm. Running off like that, mister Chike,” she began, looking away awkwardly. “I just. Uh. Didn’t know what a Natlan was. N..Not that I meant to be mean, or anything!!!” Geegee rubbed the back of her neck rigidly. “Oh… Well, I was right, then! It is another nation. Okay! I just didn’t know there was another nation besides Sumeru.. O-okay, no, I knew that. I just don’t know what they’re called.”
“Pyro and war… Cool! I Think. Hot, I mean, actually. Because Pyro. Ha. Ha. ..Ha…”

“Pyro and war… Cool! I Think. Hot, I mean, actually. Because Pyro. Ha. Ha. ..Ha…”
“That does NOT sound cool,” Geegee’s face scrunched up. Woah. If this guy thought his two-timing dad was cool, then Geegee was NOT sure whether to think Chike was cool or not if he thought an unthoughtful two-timer was cool…. (Geegee had not caught the part where Chike said he had heard that his father was ‘cool’ and was not outright saying that his father was ‘cool’.) “…Some cool guy he is.” Geegee muttered, crossing her arms defiantly before reluctantly putting them back down at her sides. ..Standing with her arms crossed felt awkward.
“Really? You’re from N…Natlan?” Geegee frowned, rummaging through her brain. ‘Uhh…. What’s a Natlan…?’ She thought, her expression blank. … “I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT THAT IS. …G-Give me a minute…!” The girl blurted out loudly, whipping her head around to look for something… A Kalpalata Lotus. And it seemed as though Nabu Malikata had given the girl her blessings that day, because in an unusual turn of events, there was a Kalpalata lotus only a few paces away, hanging off its vines.
AT LAST!!! GEEGEE FINALLY WINS!!!! LUCK IS ON HER SIDE!!!
Preparing to break into a run towards the flower, Geegee said a small prayer of thanks to Nabu Malikata, clasping her hands together and squeezing her eyes shut. … only to open her eyes once more to see the lotus gone. Jaw dropped. Geegee fell to her knees (she shouldn’t have done that. She just scraped her knee again. Ouch.).
“Nevermind. I do not know what a ‘Natlan’ is.”

Geegee wiped sweat from off of her forehead with wide, relieved eyes. AHHHH. Crisis AVERTED(not really, since she had been caught to begin with, but she supposed it was okay since Miss Saiguu didn’t mind…)!
Twiddling her thumbs sheepishly, Geegee smiled slightly back at the fox-eared woman. MAAAAN. “O-okay, then! I’ll remember that! …Like, meaning that I don’t have to be embarrassed.. Or something.. I think.. Yeah!!” Nonetheless, Geegee was content. Miss Saiguu was laughing and seemed pretty happy, so Geegee should be happy! There was no reason for her not to be!
At Saiguu’s question as to whether she found the word ‘interesting’ or not, Geegee averted her gaze, cringing slightly as her smile became tucked at the edges. “Uhm… Well.. As for my home: no, we don’t exactly call each other ‘interesting’ … But a, er.., Certain kinda scary woman called me interesting(kinda) and uh… I’m not quite.. S-sure what to think of the word now.”
NATALIANATALIANATALIANATLIANATALI-
Geegee waved her hands frantically. "N-no, you really didn't, Miss Saiguu!!!"
The girl wilted slightly, averting her eyes with lingering embarrassment.
"Y-you shouldn't have had to worry.." she mumbled, fiddling with the end of her depressingly two tiered kaunake.
Buuut... her embarrassment quickly made way for bashfulness, the girl being quite flattered at the.... compliment? Maybe compliment?
"U-uhm... Thank you!"
But the pride from the compliment disappeared just as fast as it came. 'Interesting' was.. probably a dig at her. ...Natalia had called her interesting before, probably. That thought alone gave the girl shivers.
But if Miss Saiguu really didn't mean to give her a compliment... AHHHH THAT'S EMBARRASSING. SHE SAID THANK YOU.
"Uhm. Thats a compliment, right?"

“It’s a funny name, I think,” Geegee shrugged, thinking about the name intently. “You.. You’re not from around here, are you? Your name doesn’t sound like it comes from Sumeru..!” she said slowly, tucking her chin slightly as she eyed the man curiously. He definitely LOOKED like he came from around Sumeru, though. Well. Kinda. Not really? His attire reminded her of that of the guy Sumeru fears and reveres– General Mahamatra..? Something? No, that’s a title, not a name… Geegee couldn’t quite remember his name.. No matter! Not important! Focus, Geegee!!! Nonetheless, it’s not like Geegee had any right to say his name sounded unfamiliar, she lived underground all her life, and wasn’t THAT familiar with Sumeru and its culture, though it was luckily pretty similar to her own.
Geegee’s face contorted into an expressive, and quite visible frown. “Wow. Why are you?! Why doesn’t she just.. Er.. I don’t know, go look for her friend on her own! She’s the one who knows the friend…” The girl quickly shut up, covering her mouth with an appalled, apologetic expression worming its way onto her face. “W-wait! S-sorry, I didn’t mean to… I- AGH!!!! Nevermind.. Sorry…” She mumbled, covering her face with her hands, her fingers reaching up to tug at her bangs. AHHHHHHH!! HOW COULD SHE LET HERSELF JUST speak LIKE THAT?! That was SO rude of her!! Unbelievable!!!! Geegee?! How could you do that?! Bye. She’ll see herself out..
“..No, don’t worry about rambling. I.. I say a lot of random things,” Geegee winced, moping internally. “Sorry, I really don’t know how to help you find your.. Half sister.” Translating what Chike was saying in her brain from Teyvatian to the Ishtar’s own dialect, when she finally understood all of what he had said, Geegee’s jaw dropped, unable to keep her thoughts to herself this time.“WHAT?! Y-you’re saying the.. the…(w-what’s the word for it…) the baby daddy(?!?) got.. into it with two women who were FRIENDS?!” Geegee’s eye began to twitch, absolutely in shock. “Holy Goddess of Flowers!! What is WRONG with this guy?! That’s so.. So… Is your dad HEARTLESS??” Geegee’s hand(which had just dropped back to her side,) flew back up to her head, slapping her forehead in disbelief, hitting her headpiece out of pure shock. “That’s completely immoral, evil, villainous, unjust, disrespectful.. I can’t think of any more bad words in Teyvatian dialect!!!!”
